Cabin holiday rentals in Rutherford County

We have stayed here for several years now and it never fails to disappoint! Beautiful, clean, peaceful place with kind and helpful hosts!

This cabin was absolutely magical! We visited on Memorial Day weekend and it could have been more perfect! It’s a beautiful cabin that has amazing views and really makes you feel at home. Our dog Luna absolutely loved the place! They left a whole variety of movies and games for us to enjoy while we were there as well! They also included a list with the best restaurants, hikes spots and things to do! We didn’t want to leave when our trip was over! Would love to come back one day in the future!

Our Girl Scout troop absolutely loved the cabin. We planned a trip to Western NC to show our support after Hurricane Helen. We had 10 girls and 2 leaders. The cabin was absolutely perfect for us. All the girls stayed on the top floor, and our leaders stayed in the king beds on the main floor and the lower floor. We worked with Rutherford Outdoor Coalition doing some tail maintenance for Buffalo Creek Park, we went horse back riding with Riverside Riding Stables, and we went out to dinner at Lake House Restaurant Bar and Grill on Lake Lure. We also enjoyed exploring the woods behind the cabin (finding the small creek and waterfall). The weather was perfect for our stay and we enjoyed cooking most of our meals at the cabin. It had everything we needed to cook all our meals. Thank you so much for the perfect place for our annual Girl Scout trip.

Just a quick getaway to the mountains with extended family. Chris was proactive with clear instructions for everything. The cabin is very nice with great outdoor areas/porches on each of three levels. Pool table, games, ping pong table… plenty to do onsite. We would definitely return.

I stayed at this house with some friends for a rock climbing trip, and it was the perfect location. Only a 6min drive from Rumbling Bald, this spot was very well located for our climbing desires. The view from the deck and hot tub were amazing.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this unit. Rustic in decor on the inside without much to be recommended exterior wise. Peaceful get away and we were excited that it had a pool table and an exterior ping pin table. Our only disappointment was that we didn't get to use the hot tub as we should have stayed 4 nights as opposed to 3. Although it wasn't as inviting as it could have been as the top was significantly damaged. We stayed at 7 vacation units over this trip and this was either close to the top or the top one depending on which family member.

It was a really nice place. There is a bit of a drive to get to local towns but it is all worth it for the peaceful mountain views.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful with stunning views and I would absolutely stay again! It was a great, private place for a relaxing girls' weekend. Neena was so helpful and responsive, which I appreciated.

Great place!! Even better than the photos. The view was gorgeous and the house was very cozy and comfortable. We loved the fire pit on the back deck.

We had such a wonderful time at the cabin! We spent most of our time on the porch enjoying the serenity of the property. The trails were also easy to navigate. Would love to return when the Lake Lure community has rebuilt!

This was an end of the summer getaway for my wife and I. We thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and activities of the are. We kayaked, did several hikes, found secluded areas that we could swim and picnic. Visited chimney rock. Had some nice meals at local places and took advantage of making ourselves some meals in the well-stocked kitchen. The cabin is very cute, spacious enough for a family of 4 or more, well decorated with the owner's own artwork of local scenery. We actually had fun and played a lot of ping pong. Nice table. We hope we can swing another trip to view the fall colors

The cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway! Everything was very clean. It had everything we needed for our stay. We chose to sleep in the upstairs bedroom since it had the bigger bed. The bathroom was on the main level, but we didn’t find that to be an issue. It was very comfy and homey. We will definitely stay here again!

House was very nice and room and pictures are very accurate only thing I would recommend is neighborhood needs street lights due to the roads being so curvy

As locals we are super picky about a private mountain cabin but this was ACTUALLY private! No people around. Lovely cabin. We were so tired of sitting at home and looking at our storm damage but this was the perfect vacation! The woods are beautiful and we couldn’t believe how much we needed that. Definitely going to be going back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, just what we were needing. The beds, linens and towels were all great and having a washer and dryer was a big convience. Lake Lure is working hard to get back in shape, restaurants and some shops were back open. Victory Kitchen is a few miles away, we ate there twice and it was awesome! Chimney Rock State Park doesn't have an official reopening date but the locals say the bridge is almost done and expect it to be open sooner rather than later. Hamza was a great host and responded quickly. Looking forward to going back when the leaves are changing!

best place we've ever stayed! my son had so much fun playing in the river, rain or shine, there was no need to do or go anywhere else. our pup had a hard time, bc it was all new to her, but we'll definitely be back! gonna bring some friends and leave the pup at home.

Such a beautiful place!! We came here to stay in all weekend and the house was so incredibly comfy with everything we could do to enjoy the weekend inside. Jami was so attentive and checked in multiple times to make sure we were settled and had everything we needed. Definitely plan to be back!

Brian and Dawn‘s house is just absolutely beautiful. We felt right at home and couldn’t stop enjoying the view. Everything inside and outside is put together with so much love and effort. We travelled with 4 adults and 2 toddlers and all of us loved the stay which included our very first S‘mores. There was enough space for the whole family, a well equipped kitchen, sitting areas, instructions for hiking and recommendations for the area. Brian is a very caring host and makes sure the guests have a perfect stay. Thank you, Brian ! We would love to come back!

We’ve stayed here three times now and love it each time. The house is a great size and has everything you need. The neighborhood is great. We went to the lake each day and stayed almost all day each time. We also spent time on the trails and went tubing at a nearby spot. Great quality family time.

Just what the doctor ordered!! As a school teacher this was a perfect way to start the summer peaceful, quiet and absolutely beautiful surroundings. We’re already thinking about the next trip! Thanks for everything

The Airbnb was in a beautiful location and it was very clean. The instructions for check in, amenity use, and check out were easy to understand and very simple. The house was beautiful and the host was friendly and easy to communicate it. He gave us some local places to visit and recommended restaurants that were delicious. One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in. We had an excellent experience and would book this house again if we come back to the area.

Longears Cabin and Red Bell was the perfect location for my much needed respite to unwind and recharge. I loved being in the presence of the animals-horses, mules and donkeys. The setting was beautiful and the pool, main attraction for me, was great. I hope to be back soon. Mary and her staff were all so very welcoming and friendly.
