Places to stay in Albany
Located on the top of a hill in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, my cabin is a perfect little nest! The vibe is cozy, the land is exquisite and healing and the room fosters some of the best sleep you'll find. I live here and want to be clear that this listing is for my guest bedroom and not the entire cabin :) Minutes to Bread & Puppet, Redsky Trading, Parker Pie, the Craftsbury Outdoor Center and Highland Lodge this room 'in the middle of nowhere' happens to be in the center of the universe.
The cabin is rustic but very well-appointed. There are hills and stairs required. I currently reside here with my partner Brian and our 20 year old cat, Walter. Though I love to clean for my Air Bnb guests and keep things beautiful, it’s important to note that my cabin is lived in and your stay here may feel more like staying with a friend than at a room in an Inn or hotel. Some people refer to my staircase as a ladder...it’s short and steep. I’ve never had a guest experience an issue with the stairs but I want to note that they’re steep so you’re not surprised. Walter, the cat, interacts with everybody that stays here. He’s the sweetest cat on Earth, loves wet food, conversation, sunny spots, catching mice and chin scratches. Like all good cats, he comes with cat hair, an occasional hair ball and a litter box. I keep things tidy but you’ll know that Walter lives here too... WINTER/MUD SEASON TIME NOTE!! This cabin is rustic and even 'hard" in the winter. You will need snow tires to safely drive to the cabin and will probably want 4WD/AWD as well. At 2,550' on the north-facing slope of a hill, there is *a lot* of snow here and we're last to be plowed. If I am not home to greet you (which happens from time to time) you may need to do some shoveling to get into the driveway and parked....this is just part of life here on this hill. Snow boots will be desired as well. It's comfy and well-appointed once you're inside but getting inside can prove challenging. Please only book this cabin if you're well-equipped to deal with winter. Thanks!
West Glover is gorgeous and wild. It's far away from everything and also smack dab in the center of the universe. Neighbors stop to help each other here, we grow food, skinny dip in swimming holes and play softball on Sunday. Walking and biking the roads here is joyful. Exploring the lakes and ponds is too.
  • WoW ! Beana and Brian’s cabin is absolutely beautiful and really hard to explain in this minor review section. Basically to keep it short , me and a friend showed up strangers and didn’t wanna leave our new friends after 4 nights. Super grateful to have spent the time we did in the northeast kingdom. Can’t wait to return ! Oh and Walter , he’s pretty rad himself ! Highly highly recommend !!

  • Beana and Brian are warm, friendly and welcoming hosts. You immediately feel like you are just visiting some friends. They are more than happy to chat with you in the living room while listening to sounds on their vinyl record player but also give you your space if needed. After a long day of skiing, there is nothing better than a really hot hot tub under the stars. On the next morning, Beana and Brian lend us their snowshoes so we could explore the surrounding forest for a short hike. Walking in the untouched, sparking snow in the woods was truly enchanting. Amazing location! Great hosts! Highly recommendable!

  • We wrapped up our trips in 2019 and celebrated my husband’s birthday in no better way. The rootstock cabin is incredibly special and our stay was a one to remember. The owner by the name of Beana, is one of a kind. Her kindness and compassion is very inspiring . She welcomed us with Walter and Brian and they were a treasure to stay with and talk to. We are grateful for the precious time We spent there and for the good Memories that We will for ever cherish.

  • Amazing, a beautiful piece of the northeast kingdom. Highly recommended!

  • Beana, Brian & Walter were the greatest hosts (feline entertainment was top notch!). Welcoming, warm, and kind. The cabin is beautiful and exactly how you would imagine a sanctuary in the woods - magical! Expect rest and relaxation both inside her home and the surrounding area. Such a special place and so happy to have shared time with some wonderful people. 10/10, would go again!

    Carole2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beana's cozy cabin is the perfect haven in the woods! She's filled the space with inviting, stylish touches, and it's an ideal place to escape to—I'll definitely be back for the chance to sit by her fire with an adorable cat.

    Jen And Daniel2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful stay at a special place. Beana is the host of the century. Her home is cozy & welcoming - a true reflection of her personality. Couldn't have picked a better place to get some relaxation and reflection time.

    Mathew2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Unfortunately, I had to cancel my trip to Beana’s place. But the communication with her could not have been easier. I will certainly book a stay with her again since her hospitality before I arrived was great!

Birdhous in the heart of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. Right off of Route 16 and less than a mile from interstate 91 for easy access to area attractions or rest along your route. This season, we're offering our guests room by room rentals, hoping to connect more with and to bring better energy into our hous than has been offered when renting the whole place as a private space. To note: we offer all of our bedrooms this way and you are likely to be sharing spaces with other budget Airbnb guests.
This home functions as a residential agricultural incubator in the warm months and is available as a cozy nest for travelers during the cold ones. Our hous is a budget, no-frills, basic amenities kind of place, but we'll be happy to rise to the occasion if you let us know what you need! The toilet is separate from the bath to allow for long uninterrupted periods in the tub.
  • This is a perfect place to stay if you just need a place to sleep without expecting too much. The beds are comfortable, there’s plenty of towels in the bathroom and you’re close to the highway. The stairs and doors are a bit creaky but you are in an old farmhouse. I would easily stay here again. Tip: Go to The Parker Pie Company (7 mins away) for great beer and pizza!

    Austin2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the farmhous was good. It is very farmy. The cats are extremely friendly and will try to be your friend instantly! Jes is helpful and responsive. The room is spacious, minimalist, and clean, adequate for a night to rest before hitting the road, and the living/dining room space is comfortable as well. If you are looking for privacy, this place is less ideal, as you can hear what is going on in the other rooms and in the bathroom, and the staircase leading to the room (there are 2 on 2nd floor) is creaky. All in all, good place for good value.

    Meilani2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, a true farmhouse. Well worth for the price

    Emily2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Clean. Helpful, functional touches with hooks, mirrors, table surfaces, and power extension cord in bedroom. Great communication. No frills, cost-friendly, exactly what I was looking for.

    Lisa2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Good value

    Dominic2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place comes at an unbelievable value! The pictures are a very accurate depiction of the space, it was what I had expected and more! The living area is very nice, very comfy living room. The kitchen is perfect for a short term stay. The room was comfortable, and the beds were clean and there were plenty of covers to keep warm. The house is well heated and the wifi has great speed. Jess provides a nice library in the living room and a very comfortable couch. The bathroom is a little small, but at such a great price, you can’t ask for anything more! Everything that Jess provides for at this price is simply incredible! This is the best deal I’ve ever found on Airbnb! I would definitely recommend!

Unplug, relax, and marvel in a magical tiny house in the woods of the Kingdom. Perched high on a mountainside, this little cabin sits surrounded by towering sugar maples. It is a step back in time — a place to read, hike, create, and recharge. Enjoy cozy evenings by the warm glow of a wood stove. Explore thousands of acres of forest by snowshoe, ski, or foot. Eat fresh eggs from our chickens. Minutes from Caspian & Shadow Lake, Parker Pie, Craftsbury Outdoor Center, and Hill Farmstead Brewery.
**Read this: this is a rustic cabin — water comes by operating a foot pump by the sink. There is a shower in the main house or gym across the street. You’ll need to bring a couple bundles of firewood in the winter AND be okay with using an outhouse. There IS electricity.** **As much as we love them, no pets in the cabin — not even our own dog.** I had a dream of living in a tiny house in the woods when I was very young. I still remember every detail — a little kitchenette, a cozy bed, some skis outside the door, a whole mountain range out the front window. In October 2019, my brother and I finished the Analog Cabin, and it seems that dream has come to life. Named the Analog Cabin because it’s also where we write and record music, this cabin has been a true labor of love. Each of the logs weighs between two and four thousand pounds. Every notch was carved by hand. We improvised a lot as we went. As you approach the Analog Cabin, you’ll notice you're climbing higher and higher. That’s because you’re entering the highland snow belt of Beach Hill, a veritable Narnia within an already snowy state. As you pull into our little pocket of the forest, the cabin will appear through the trees. Inside you’ll find a luxuriously comfortable American Leather Comfort Sleeper queen-sized bed, a writing desk/table, a bookshelf made of repurposed antique delivery boxes, and a tiny kitchenette with a mini-fridge, induction cooktop, and toaster oven. Then there’s trusty Jove the Stove in the corner, ready to heat the cabin and create the perfect atmosphere on cozy nights. Spring, summer, fall, winter — The Analog Cabin is a fairytale come to life. **Our house is about 50 feet from the cabin and is fully visible from the porch. You can take a shower there if you’d like, or go to the gym just down the road. We’re still building our house and are happy to chat about the process of homesteading in the modern world. **You’ll need to bring bundles of firewood to help keep our supply in stock (1-2 per day). We’ll tell you the best places to get a bundle once you book, including a discount code for our local store. **Kitchen includes a hot plate, microwave, and mini-fridge, but is not equipped for full-on cooking. **Driving in the Northeast Kingdom in the winter is no joke. Snow tires, all-wheel drive, and/or front-wheel drive are recommended. Our road and driveway are plowed. **The cabin is about 12 minutes from the supermarket in Barton, 12 minutes from the Craftsbury General Store, and 15 minutes from the Willeys’ Store in Greensboro. You are nearby tons of pristine lakes and rivers, the best brewery in the world (no joke — look up Hill Farmstead Brewery), the best cheesemaker in the world (Jasper Hill Farm....also no joke), nordic skiing at Craftsbury Outdoor Center, mountain biking at Kingdom Trails, and ski resorts such as Stowe, Burke Mountain, Jay Peak, and many more. Check in: 2pm or later Check out: 11am
Parker Pie, arguably the most famous pizza place in Vermont, is right down the road! A little farther is the Barton Bakery and Parson's Corner (excellent brunch/lunch). In the other direction are mouth-watering meals at the Craftsbury General Store and the Willeys'.
  • Thinking dark but cozy? I was, but found light, lofty and cozy! Massive logs form the walls of the Analogue house that Kyle (and bro) built. A great host, Kyle has made elegant, thoughtful use of space and amenities. Light gray runs through the inside with a large slab of grey marble as a base for the little wood stove that could ( keep you nice and warm). The pale gray sofa yields a comfortable, supportive queen size mattress. Grab a book from the North Woods library corner and hunker down for a seasonal read or nap. Hungry? Function changes with color in the cheery red and yellow kitchen corner. Kettle, hot pad and toaster oven. Foot pump for water. Finally tuck tongue in cheek and check out the latch of the out-house—hmm, or have you instead been sent to the dog house? Do Have fun!

    Mary2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Analog Cabin is truly a magical and memorable place. We came when it surprisingly snowed a foot and a half, and the wood stove was able to keep us at a perfect temperature. Kyle was extremely hospitable, and we felt as though we could go to him for anything we could have needed. The view in the morning outside of the cabin is spectacular, and we actually spent most of our day in the cabin because we didn't want to leave! :) You can tell a lot of thought and care went into the building of this place. It was extremely clean and cozy. We were able to heat up a bunch of food for dinner, and make our own breakfast with provided local eggs on the hot plate in the kitchenette. I would highly recommend staying here in any season if you are looking for an NEK getaway. :)

    Emma2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is a perfect escape from anywhere you need escaping from! Kyle was exceptionally accommodating by starting a fire and preparing the cabin before our late arrival. He also made an extra effort to make sure we had access to showers if we needed them. The kitchenette was very functional and easy to use. The space is very thoughtful and cozy, and the views out the window were fabulous. We enjoyed exploring the area (cheese, beer, skiing, pizza) and reading some of the books by local authors that were in the cabin. 10/10 would reccomend to anyone who enjoys peace, nature, and woodburning stoves!

    Jillian2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • As host, Kyle is absolutely amazing and care about your stay. It’s a peacefull place where you can breathe fresh air and relax away from the city, I totally recommend!!! We went to mount Pisgah that is really close to the cabin (amazing in winter) and also the Hill Farmstead Brewery (also close to the cabin), it was a great week-end !

    Jérôme2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Analog Cabin is very cute, cozy and surrounded by an amazing landscape. Kyle is a perfect host : very helpfull, friendly and full of good advices. We will return and I definitaly recommand this place.

    Magalie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Kyle is a great host! We had clear directions for everything - how to get to the cabin, details about the outhouse, how to build a fire etc... The scenery around the cabin is breathtaking and the location was perfect for us - close enough to get to town but far enough to feel like you're in the woods.

    Tiffany2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome stay, would highly recommend! Kyle is a great host, beautiful cabin and really fun area.

    Heather2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in the cabin! It is a beautiful and functional little space with a great view. It was a fun game to keep the wood stove stoked all day. The kitchen was surprisingly functional and well stocked considering it is small. Kyle was a fantastic host, giving us local tips and even shoveling out our car for us after a snowstorm! He also lent us his snowshoes so we could explore the cross country ski trails through the woods around the property. Overall a phenomenal spot and would definitely visit again!

This one bedroom waterfront guest cabin is located on Great Hosmer Pond in the beautiful town of Craftsbury Common, Vermont. The cabin has access to the cross country ski trails of the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. Swimming dock on property with access to a canoe. The cabin is made of double tongue and grooved red western cedar. The cabin is available year round except for 'mud season'.

  • Sweet space, tucked away, and amazingly close to ski trails and ponds. Very accommodating hosts. Rustic space, but everything that we needed was provided.

  • We really enjoy our stay in the middle of the winter in this cute cabin with beautiful wood fireplace. Cabin is on the lake on Cabin trail, very close to Craftsbury Outdoor Center ( 10-15 minutes on skis across lake). Cabin has excellent location for xc skiing. Clean and cozy cabin. Thank you Kathy for your hospitality!

    Olga2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time staying in this cabin. The hosts met us when we arrived and were very hospitable and kind. The cabin itself is decorated beautifully and very cozy. Our favorite feature was the wood stove, which we used as a fireplace and relaxed in front of every night. We stayed in early February and got 2 feet of snow during our stay so we were snowed in, but we planned for the weather and brought plenty of food to cook. It’s a great place to be snowed in. The cabin was warm with the central heat and even warmer with the addition of the stove. Totally comfortable, even when temps reached -12 degrees. The craftmanship of the cabin is incredible, and I enjoyed just observing all the details and hard work that went into building it. We drive a Prius and had no issues getting to the cabin. Exploring the trails and frozen pond was fun, and if you like skiing this is a perfect spot. Can’t wait to visit again in warmer months.

    Jake2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a pleasure it is to make it all the way up to Craftsbury and never to have to step in a car during the the whole visit. This place is right on a lake that is on the COC trail system. So, walk by the wood shed, pass a few pines, and you're on your skis. It's less than a kilometer of skiing to the center itself. The cabin might double as a movie set from 1978 ... it's authentic! Still, it's plenty cozy and just what you need for a nice supper, a chat by the wood stove, a board game, and a long winter's sleep.

    Tim2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy's cabin is a great find. It is cozy, quiet, and has a wood stove that kept the cabin warm. It is less than a mile to the Craftsbury Outdoors Center and convenient to the town of Craftsbury. Kathy is a great host, and I recommend this place with great enthusiasm.

    James2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy and Ted’s place is an excellent location and the perfect Vermont Cabin in the woods. It’s proximity to Craftsbury Outdoor Center was the initial appeal but there is so much more for the lakeside escape from my everyday reality

  • Quick response, sparkling clean bedroom and bathroom, a short drive to Stowe Mountain Resort and what a great price! Heather greeted us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a last minute decision to stay over one more night and there was not a single room in Stowe on President’s Day weekend. Heather saved the day (or night) and we enjoyed another day of skiing, well rested.

    Sean2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

This quiet chalet is within 4 miles from Jay Peak Ski resort, in the peaceful community of Alpine Haven. This room is next to the kitchen and bathroom, on the first floor.
A wide open living room is at the center of the chalet, great for hanging out in front of the fireplace after a cold day of skiing, or just to relax after visiting the many offerings of Northern Vermont. The three outside porches overlooking the vast woods also provide excellent spaces for relaxing while still feeling immersed in the majesty of the forest. The Goat Run Room is a nice relaxing room, with several windows looking out to the surrounding trees, a closet and dresser for storing your stuff. It's located right next to the kitchen and downstairs bathroom for extra convenience.
Alpine Haven is a small community located in the vast forests of Jay Mountain. There is a pool available in the summertime with a deep end for the adults and a shallow end for the kids. There is also a playground right next to the clay tennis courts, and a large open park equipped with fire pits and picnic tables for a nice family outing. Several trails circle Alpine Haven, too, great for cross country skiing, snow shoeing and hiking. A nine hole disc golf course runs through the neighborhood park. Montgomery town is just a few miles away, with a small grocery store and several restaurants. Jay town is about 7 miles away, with its own restaurants and a great little farmer's market open every Saturday during the warmer months. And, of course, there is Jay Peak Resort, just two miles from the chalet, which has several restaurants and bars, a pizza place, delis, an excellent water park, a professional level golf course, 18 hole disc golf course, and all the skiing/snowboarding you could want.
  • Wow, what a great place to stay! It was wonderful coming home to friendly pets and a warm house after a big day on Jay! The chalet is the perfect location; it's tucked away in the woods and feels so cozy. Would definitely stay again for the laid back atmosphere and helpful, fun hosts!

  • Owen and Katya were great hosts and down to earth humans. We really appreciated everything they did to make our stay our more enjoyable. From the eta arrival text to the discount waterpark tickets, full use of the kitchen and a farewell hug. They were friendly and communicated all necessary information. They have some home projects going on to improve the home and I hope I can come Back to visit and see the progress or finished result. I would like to add, The projects do not interfere with your stay! The accommodations were great. The Goat run room has an amazing bed. I slept better than ever for being on vacation. The Pets are very friendly, 2 dogs and 2 cats.

  • Owen and Katya are great hosts. I really enjoyed staying with them. The location is so convenient for access to skiing and restaurants in the town of Jay. Their pets are friendly and affectionate. There was fresh snow when I arrived so I had some difficulty driving without 4 wheel drive. But the roads were plowed pretty quickly and I got to enjoy two great days of skiing!

    Sean2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Owen's place is great, close to Jay peak and what you need to crash after a day of skiing. Warm house, warmer people. We had a great time and hope to visit again! Jamie and Cersi were super friendly too!

  • We enjoyed our stay in Nella and James' roomy farmhouse in the heart of maple sugar and dairy country. The wonderful Craftsbury Outdoor Center is a quick 15 minutes away and offers 104 K. of groomed ski trails. We were in heaven.

  • Great home base for a xc ski weekend with friends and family

    James2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely farmhouse with spacious rooms and simple furnishings---the kind of house that really absorbs friends & family easily. The views from the kitchen both front and back are gorgeous. We really enjoyed our stay--especially the close proximity (approx 15 minutes) from the cross country skiing at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center. The roads were well plowed but it is on a long hill and we were glad we had put on our snowtires. The host were excellent communicators and turned up the heat before our arrival; house instructions were clear and easy to follow. We look forward to coming back another time!

    Hannah2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The location, price, and size of James and Nella's place was perfect for our extended family. This is not our first visit here and probably not our last.

    Sarah2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at James and Nella’s place. It’s a lovely old farmhouse with beautiful wide plank floors, but wasn’t dusty or dirty the way older homes can be. There isn’t really and decor to speak of, but lovely big windows and a great view. Close to Parker Pie and the Busy Bee, or Red Sky when they are open. It is one of the loveliest areas in the world. Yesterday was a perfect day for cross country skiing. Lots of local trails to explore. Great time had by all!

    Katherine2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful farmhouse! Be mindful of location, while scenic and peaceful, it is on a long dirt road and you should consider your cars ability to drive on snowy/icy conditions. The house was cozy, heat worked wonderfully. Plenty of room and comfortable beds. The house was perfectly clean as well. Wifi is fast, Apple TV was great. Beautiful view from every window. We had such a relaxing and peaceful weekend with friends.

The perks are location! My home is located on Main Street right in the center of town. Perfect for solo travelers, skiers chasing the storm, looking for a convenient place in town, walking distance to bars, restaurants, market, ski / bike shop. My backyard borders the Trout River excellent for summer adventurers looking to cool off or hike to one of the local swimming holes. This is the place for guests who prefer an in town Airbnb experience, shared living with a spiritual yoga bend.
My space is humble with a cozy lived in feeling. Guests share a bathroom and have access to the common areas, kitchen, living, and yoga studio. There is a steady stream of friends, travelers, seasonal tenants. I ask for everyone to be kind and go with the flow. The rooms are small; suitable for single person occupancy only. These are not hotel standard rooms. My home is humble. The house is within walking distance to local restaurants, bars, cafe, ski / bike shops, market. Feel free to engage in a yoga class going on downstairs in living room turned yoga studio. The guests that are drawn to this space crave a friendly quiet atmosphere to unwind.
My home is located in the center of small ski town right on Main Street. Guests are encouraged to walk to restaurants, bars, market. For a small town it is quite lively and enjoyable.

UPDATE 8/5: SlTE CLOSED UNTIL BUILDING FINISHED. WILL OPEN CALENDAR BACK UP WHEN FINISHED. THE STRUCTURE- Unavailable for construction for new Airbnb. We are starting this transition in June. You'll love staying on our property because you'll have full access to the 7 acres. We live the next town over. Less then 10 minutes away. Complete privacy from any neighbor. Our property has the VAST trail directly attached. During the Summer/Spring/Fall seasons you can walk to the trail.
The area is in the country but a located close to small towns for needs. Cabot is 5 minutes away, Danville is 10 away and Hardwick is 15 minutes away. You can't see the neighbors. But if loud enough they may here you or vice versa. We had many family get togethers when my dad lived across the street with fire works for 4th of July with no complaints. I want guest to have fun but please no fights or yelling. Should the neighbors complain we may not be able to continue the camping fun.
  • I had an awesome time staying on Jessica’s property. It was in a beautiful location perfect for my mountain biking trip. She was incredibly helpful and accommodating while still giving me plenty of privacy. Can’t wait to come back!

    Jameson2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • The property is wonderful, secluded and quiet, and they have provided wonderful accommodations for a camp spot. Our pup loves being able to run around and as our second stay here we had some friends join us with their dog as well. The night sky is clear and gorgeous, and we were close enough to town to take a half day trip in to explore. We highly recommend their property.

    Mikaila2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding stay! I was totally expecting just a plot of grass begat I could set up a tent on, but Jessica and her family blew me away! The were super helpful when suggesting good local breakfast places with real Vermont maple syrup too! 10/10 would come back if I’m in Vermont again!

    Noah2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing spot! The property is beautiful and secluded. We had a great time and for a camp site there were more amenities than we ever would have expected or needed. They communicated with us quickly and stopped by when we arrived to say hi and make sure we had everything we needed. We didn't leave the site but they had a book with some area places to eat and see. Definitely recommend staying here, we will be for sure.

Come and embrace the majestic beauty of Vermont from Sugar Hill, a quaint log cabin nestled on 24 acres of beautiful countryside. Enjoy the views of the Canadian mountains from the front porch with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine; or wander around the pasture or woods behind the cabin. Close to both Jay Peak and downtown Newport, you can enjoy all those locations have to offer, or simply relax. Please note that the stairs to the 2nd floor are steeper than usual.

This quiet chalet is within 2 miles from Jay Peak Ski resort, in the peaceful community of Alpine Haven.
Despite the dark name, the Valhalla Room has plenty of light with windows on two sides. There is closet space for storing your stuff as well as additional blankets for chilly nights. It's right next to the kitchen and downstairs bathroom for extra convenience.
There is a nine hole (beginner friendly) disc golf course the runs through the neighborhood park.
  • Very comfortable, loved having the dogs and cats around. Thanks for a great stay!

    Kate2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place was really nice! Vermont had just got hit with a ton of snow and my car had a hard time in the neighborhood. I got stuck in the snow. Owen was quick to respond and was helping me shovel out within 10 minutes. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was clean. The dogs were very friendly! The next morning I was to Jay peak within 10 minutes. Would stay again!

    Tyler2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Owen and Katya are awesome, their home is lovely and the surrounding area is just beautiful. Quick drive to Jay Peak, and as a bonus, they have the cuddliest dogs and cats!

  • The host was there upon arrival and helped with any necessary set-up/arrangements. The dogs and cats were welcoming and very friendly too. It was quiet at night and the bed was comfortable. The place was just as listed and just a few minutes away from Jay Peak.

New one bedroom apartment close to Jay Peak Resort. Also direct access to VAST snowmobile trail, and VASA ATV trail. Newport is a short drive to restaurants, shopping, and Lake Memphremagog. Relax on the patio or by the fire pit as the cows graze in a nearby pasture. Host lives in the main house, but with a separate entrance you can expect privacy with the benefit of a quick response for any of your needs.

The apartment is a lovely space right above the Craftsbury General Store. It is quite large with a full living room, dining room, kitchen, deck, and two bedrooms. The building is from the 1850's so it has beautiful floors and high ceilings along with some funny little quirks that give it personality. The store is open below from 7am to 8pm and has just about anything you might have forgot or be craving!!! Make yourself at home here!!
  • Probably the best combination of location and value for those looking to have a fun getaway near the outdoor center. Having the general store downstairs is a big convenience and hanging out and listening to the locals yak it up about rural Vermont livin' is a hoot. Any sociologists or anthropologists will especially dig this rental. My only complaint is that when I tried to text Tiffany about the incredible culinary aroma wafting from her side of the building I didn't get immediate response. We were all drooling outside her door for a minute before realizing that might be a weird encounter if are host happened to open her door at moment. If you want to cross country ski for a weekend in craftsbury you should stay at this Airbnb.

    Addison2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Tiffany’s place is bright, spacious and cozy! What a treat to stay above the general store too. So convenient. I recommend staying here:)

  • Great place with everything you need. Very comfortable and spacious.

    Deborah2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our second stay, this time for a week. We love it there; comfortable, convenient, relaxing. Gorgeous antique house, nicely furnished and updated. Good and well-equipped kitchen; we enjoyed cooking all week. Comfortable beds, and plenty of heat. I had zero cell service, but the wifi was great. Having the general store downstairs is fantastic; lots of great local products. This corner of VT is a mecca for cheese and craft beer, and Emily stocks a very nice selection. It is an old building, and you get to hear what's going on downstairs, starting from when the kitchen crew gets in at 7am. But they're largely a happy bunch, with excellent taste in music :) - we found it fairly pleasant. And they are such excellent bakers! If they make cinnamon rolls, you absolutely need to snag one. Very convenient to Craftsbury Outdoor Center, about an 8-10 min drive. The Village Trail comes within a hundred yards of the store, so can also ski right from the store.

    Philip & Lauren2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our time in Craftsbury. It’s a great location and a very cozy Airbnb. Clean, comfortable, and had a great kitchen for cooking. Plus the general store is right downstairs if we needed anything. Would definitely stay again!

    Miriam2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Check in was very simple and the apartment was sparkling clean. The place itself is really neat and spacious and could easily accomodate a crowd. There are a number of thoughtful touches like extra towels, live plants, and guides for local activities. Being right above the store is also super convenient. I would recommend this place to anyone and I 100% will be back to visit.

    Amy2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Emily's place is spacious and comfortable and has everything you need. It is above a store so you can just run down and get whatever you need in terms of food/drink. The beds are comfortable, too. Great place!

  • We HIGHLY recommend staying here. We came here with our two dogs and 11 month old son. The cabin is beyond gorgeous with absolutely breathtaking views. We were able to cook all of our meals in the kitchen and enjoyed our coffee with the views of the green mountains. We were close enough to explore Stowe, lake Willoughby, hike mount Pisgah and if weather permitted we would have hiked more places! Merle was an excellent and responsive host. We hope to come back soon!

  • Merle's place was great! We were looking for something private and quiet and that's exactly what we got! We were up for a weekend, so we didn't get too much time to explore the area, but we really enjoyed what we were able to do. Hill's Farmstead Brewery was definitely the highlight for us, but we also enjoyed Parker Pie Co. and hiking in Willoughby State Forest.

  • We had a great stay at the cottage. We were 2 families and a total of 7 people. Kids loved the lofts for playing and sleeping. Kitchen was well stocked and spacious for cooking and eating meals together. Super convenient to access Craftbury Outdoor Center for skiing!

  • Amy is an awesome host! The cottage is very cozy and well equipped. The beds, pillows, and couch were very comfortable. Amy’s communication was prompt and friendly. We arrived during a big snow storm and Amy let us check in early. Later in the evening, the power went out and Amy immediately came by to make sure we had what we needed. This is a sweet place and will likely rent from Amy again.

    Janet2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our group of friends visited Craftsbury for three days of skiing at the touring center. Amy's house was perfect for our group: great location, spacious living area, well equipped kitchen for making meals, and comfortable beds! Check in was easy, and Amy stopped by to be sure we had everything we needed! With her help, we found where the Outing Center trails pass near the house. A great Craftsbury visit; we look forward to our return!

  • This is a great little cabin. It does get tight with two people and sports gear (ice climbing), but a nice kitchen space, which is useful since there’s not much dining in the area. A great place for enjoying Lake Willoughby.

The cabin and has a wonderful porch with rocking chairs. Enjoy beautiful sunsets from your rocking chair. There is a large, well equipped kitchen, open space floor plan, new shower unit and plenty of closet space in the bedroom. Easy access to VAST snowmobile trails, within an hour's drive to 3 ski areas (Stowe, Smuggler's Notch and Jay Peak), X-Country skiing right outside the door or in Craftsbury or Stowe. Elmore State Park is 3 miles away. The cabin is quiet, private and unconnected.
The cabin is the perfect get-a-way. Limited cell phone service, no internet.
The Elmore General Store, 3 miles away, has amazing Pizza. In the summer you can swim, paddle and hike to the fire tower on Elmore Mountain at the State Park. Hiking, biking and skiing can be done on the Lamoille Valley Rail trail. Several golf courses are located nearby.
  • We loved staying at the Piggy Palace! It's such a cozy little cabin with a beautiful view. The check-in and check-out instructions were super easy, and Peggy was so friendly. We'd love to stay here again and definitely recommend it!

  • Our stay at Meadow Woods Cabin was the perfect winter retreat. Quiet and cozy with all the amenities and charm placed in a beautiful part of Vermont. We were able to ski right out our back door and surrounding ski areas. The cabin was spacious and spotless with lovely sunsets from off the front porch. Our hosts were super friendly and always willing to help with suggestions of places to see or eat. I look forward to going back again.

    Kate2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful and cozy cabin! We stayed here on our ski vacation instead of staying closer to Stowe and we are glad we did. This cabin was cute and charming. Peggy and Steve went out of their way to help us get two-for-one ski ticket and helped us when our little car got stuck on ice. The area is so cute and much quieter than Stowe but still has cute restaurants and breweries nearby. Definitely recommend!

    Kristin2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at this cabin! Warm, cozy and with great views. Surrounded by snow covered woods, it was like a winter fairytale! Close to xcountry skiing trails. Peggy is a very friendly host. We would love to come back sometime!

    Trevor2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, cozy space, good food at the bistro, and easy check-in/ clear directions. As expected from the description, there was noise from the bistro until around 11, but with the noise machine on it was pretty faint.

    Liza2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay above the bistro! Dinner downstairs was convenient and delicious!

    Lucretia2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • I had stayed at the farmhouse before it was converted to an inn and bistro, and was so excited to return. The pace exceeded my expectations. Jessie's hospitality was exceptional- the pipes froze in the shared bathroom we were expecting to use, so she opened up the option to use the wellness center bathtub for us which was amazing. When my car got stuck and we couldn't make it to Craftsbury Outdoor Center, she gave suggestions for snowshoeing locally. The bistro downstairs from the inn has a fantastic atmosphere, warm staff, and great food. I highly, highly recommend staying here!

    Jacqueline2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had another wonderful stay at your farmhouse. We I’ll be back for sure. The Bistro was very tasty.

    Lisa2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Craftsbury was adorable and so was this inn! The farmhouse has it all! Great food and inventive cocktails at the blackbird bistro (lee is great ❤) right downstairs, massages (thanks jenna!) and other spa services one door over from your room and really sweet owners. We had the chance to meet Jesse and Lindsey and they made us feel so welcome. We stayed during a particularly cold week but our room was always toasty and we put the hot tub to good use. I can't recommend this place enough. We are already wanting to plan or next trip to Vermont so we can come back! Thanks for making our stay so special!

  • The orchard house was an excellent stay and very conveniently located about 20 minutes from Jay Peak. The roads were a little slick to get to the house but nothing a 4x4 truck can’t handle. Cell service wasn’t the best at the house and nearby so be sure to have a screenshot of the directions to the house when leaving Jay Peak. Overall a great stay and will definitely consider staying again next time we visit Jay

This simple home is the place to go to unwind, turn off your phone, and breathe. Very private, yet close to many amenities, it’s steps to the local cross-country ski and bike trail system. A 5m drive to the Craftsbury Outdoor Center and 45m to Stowe, this place is also close to many places to downhill ski, kayak, etc. Not your style? There’s a range of local artists, breweries, and restaurants nearby, including Hill Farmstead, Barr Hill Gin, and Lost Nation.
Built many years ago, this home has recently been renovated inside and out. With one wall of windows (it's a passive solar place!), the house is open-concept with a mudroom, kitchen, dining/living area, bedroom, and bathroom. There’s also a large deck outside, blueberry bushes to pick from, and acres to explore.
Craftsbury is well-known for many reasons. Besides Hill Farmstead and the Outdoor Center, we are close to Pete’s Greens, Jasper Hill, Sterling College, and the Highland Center for the Arts. Although the town population hovers around 1000, we are proud to support a thriving K-12 school. Located on a picturesque common area, the school is surrounded by a post office, library, and church. A two-minute drive from the common takes you down into the village, where there are two general stores, a town hall, and a garage. It is truly a small, idyllic New England town.
  • If you want a tranquil Vermont weekend, this is your place. Sarah was a great communicator and the house was perfect for cross-country skiing and taking in the beauty of Vermont winters. We will be back!

  • This place is even better than it looks in the pictures! The view is amazing during the day and at night there's a great view of the stars from the large glass windows. It was so quiet and peaceful, yet still close enough to everything we wanted to do. I would definitely recommend it! :)

  • This place is amazing! Can't wait to come back. The weather wasn't in our favor but this location can't be beat! We walked into town and skiied from the house to the town trails. When we had some weather related issues Sarah was super fast to respond and made our stay as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend!

Birdhous in the heart of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. Right off of Route 16 and less than a mile from interstate 91 for easy access to area attractions or rest along your route. This season, we're offering our guests room by room rentals, hoping to connect more with our guests and to bring better energy into our hous than has been offered when renting the whole place as a private space.
  • Very cool shared farmhouse. We were in the ground floor queen room and it was perfect for our budget and needs!

  • The way an inexpensive stay should be.

  • Great stay at the airbnb. Another couple was in for the night after a day of skiing, and we enjoyed a game of ticket to ride together. Great place to rest for the night while also having the opportunity to meet interesting people.

Bright, airy, private one bedroom apartment in our 1840's farmhouse. Surrounded by craft breweries, farm to table food, cross country & downhill skiing, lakes & mountains, miles of dirt roads, beautiful views -- and only 5 minutes from I-91 and a 5 minute walk to Parker Pie.
Relax into the comfort and convenience of your own private apartment. You'll have a large, airy, light-filled great room with living, dining, and kitchen areas, a cozy bedroom with a queen sized bed, and a spacious bathroom with tub and shower. The kitchen is well-equipped with a Keurig coffee maker (and a French press if you prefer to bring your own special grind), dishes, pots & pans, utensils, a microwave, and toaster. There is a small fridge and a 4-burner gas stove. We supply a selection of K-cups, cream and sugar, a few basic spices and other non-perishables. Please help yourself to anything you find in the cupboards. The lodge is spacious for a couple, and will comfortably accommodate four people. There are three queen-size sleeping options -- in addition to the bedroom, there is a pull out sofa in the great room and an air bed if needed, so up to six people is possible. Our house is a typical Vermont farm house (1840's) and has a stable attached to the house. We have 35 acres which includes horse pastures and lower woods and wetlands that are fun for aimless, meditative walks. We also have a dog and two cats. Although the opportunities to explore the rich cultural and recreational offerings of our area are almost endless, many of our guest seem to enjoy simply being in the lodge. It is a very pleasant space, no matter the season or weather, to escape, relax, and rejuvenate.
The Northeast Kingdom of Vermont has become a destination for people interested in world class craft beers, ciders, and spirits, artisan cheeses, and a vibrant local food scene. We are within half an hour of Hill Farmstead Brewery, Jasper Hill Cheese, Craftsbury Outdoor Center and numerous lakes and hiking and biking trails. Bread & Puppet is just down the road in Glover. Burke and Jay Peak ski areas are an easy 45 minute drive. From our house you can walk or bike to Parker Pie for great Pizza and beer. Lake Parker is a five minute drive and has a public boat access. Bring your bicycles, and you could spend a weekend exploring the miles of beautiful dirt roads that connect West Glover, Irasburg, Albany, Craftsbury, and Greensboro.
  • We did not meet the owners but we did not need it since the entry procedure is very easy. A lovely charming apartment in the mountains of Vermont!

  • Beautiful spot and great hosts!

    Mike2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was our 4th visit to The Lodge and it did not disappoint. Anne & Brian's space is well-appointed with all you need to be comfortable for a night or several. The space is spotless and full of sunlight, yet so quiet that you'll rest peacefully. You're a short walk away from Parker Pie—the best pizza in Vermont)—and there is snowshoeing available right outside the door. This is an excellent spot anytime of year. We're excited to come back.

    Leandre2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean and wonderful stay in West Glover. Amazing restaurant down the street!

    David2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Anne & Brian’s place is always great to stay at. The space is large, clean and within walking distance to Parker Pie. I’d recommend their place to anyone looking to stay in Glover.

    Brian2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Anne and Brian's apartment was perfect for our short 2-night stay. Very spacious, surround sound tv, and an extremely comfortable bed. The best part though was it's right up the street from Parker Pie Co. Great food and beer! We will definitely be back next time we find ourselves visiting the area and Hill Farmstead Brewery.

    Shaun2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space. Perfect place to relax. Fun snowy walk down the hill to pizza. Will return for sure.

    Megan2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Their place was beautiful, the apartment, the furniture, the cleanliness, the views, everything. We booked on short notice and they were very accommodating. We wish we could have stayed longer.

This 1800's New England farm house is located in a quiet country setting with 360 degree views that will take your breath away. Only 30 minutes from 3 ski resorts, X-country skiing, lakes, mountain biking trails, snowmobile trails (VAST), breweries, golf courses, an indoor waterpark and many other awesome attractions to come enjoy!
This is a very easy going neighborhood that allows the guests the freedom to relax and truly appreciate the perks of country living. Enjoy bon fires, light off fireworks, play their music loud and not even worry about bothering a neighbor or having the cops called...that's because the nearest neighbors are almost a 1/2 mile away in any direction! Ultimately what that equates to is: A GOOD time!!!
  • House has gorgeous view in front and back. One bedroom is weird that has bathroom entry. Locks to other rooms are bit old style. Internet was not fast enough for large crowd. Host is accommodating. Its a place for 11 not 12 as mentioned. You need to use couch or sofa cum bed to make it placw for 12 or 13. Lot of amenities. Netflix was provided with smart TV which wasn't expected. Tip- Get your drone for awesome views around.

  • Clean well equipped country home where we had a wonderful Christmas reunion with family. Property really nice and were able to hike/walk and cross country ski from doorstep

  • Ryan’s place is magic... the photos don’t do it justice . This place is such a fabulous find , in such a great area with a wonderful helpful host.. Book this place you will not be upset!!

    Rachel2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • First and foremost, I would stay at Ryan's place again in a heartbeat. There were too many wonderful things to list here; Ryan is a great communicator, check in was simple, the house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the view and the physical space were just amazing. I feel that you can always tell when a home has been lived in rather than designed just as a vacation rental. Ryan's house feels like a home that has been lived in, but there are thoughtful touches that people on vacation like (some books to read, some games to play, a big stack of clean towels). We had an extended stay there, and we had friends who came and went during our stay, and everyone agreed that it was a wonderful place; serene, beautiful, comfortable. The picnic table out front is the most wonderful place to eat every meal with a view of a dairy farm and the hills of the NEK, the back meadow can be roamed through without shoes since Ryan has a strict no-glass policy, the barn can provide a nice place for kids to play, the pond is perfect for fishing, the trails in the back offer a nice place to hike, the kitchen is big and well stocked enough to actually cook in. And then there is the area; the house is situated on a fairly main road, so you aren't isolated, but it is still a country road, so you also can wave to people as they pass (and they wave back). Crystal Lake is a gem for swimming, the grocery store in Irasburg and the C+C in Barton are great for anything you need, the hikes around Lake Willoughby are fantastic. I hope that we will have the chance to stay at Ryan's place again, maybe even in the winter to do some sledding and skiing.

  • Ryan and his family work hard to maintain this beautiful property. My group of friends and I have stayed here 4 times over the last 2 years. We enjoy the beautiful area, and the space the home provides. There are a number of fun activities in the area, and its nice to just hang out at the house, and enjoy the beautiful views, small pond or the fire pit. We are already looking forward to going back for a 5th time!

    Allison2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Classic VT Farmhouse. Great views and quiet at night. Well thought out amenities and tv/internet work great. Very clean and lots of rooms to easily fit a family of 4/5.

    David2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time at Ryan’s place plenty of room with beautiful views. Looking forward to staying again.

    Matt2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful! My friends and I wanted to take our dogs on their first vacation to 'relaxing, middle of nowhere, winter wonderland' and that's exactly what we did at Creek Hill Barn. The house was beautiful, we arrived at dark which was best because waking up in the morning to see the snow covered view for the first time was an amazing experience. My friends and I are already planning a trip back in the fall! I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed!

This Gypsy Wagon, located in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, is nestled in the woods, supremely private, off-grid and deeply serene. Besides the natural chorus of the woods, listen for the horses neighing and the loll of the nearby dairy cows. Everything you need is supplied except WiFi, your imagination, gypsy soul and groceries/ice. Though one dog is permitted, we appreciate your leaving the additional cleaning fee of $15 in the envelope supplied to offset the cost of deep cleaning.
You will be the only ones in the woods in this wagon. It is spooky and delicious at night. Though there is no shower at the wagon, there is a place for a cold water wash-up in the warmer months in the 'fancy' outdoor privy. Clean water is provided for cooking, washing and dousing fires. You'll have the choice between the intimate indoor kitchen or the open-air outdoor kitchen. We provide battery operated lights, oil lamps and candles. There is a potbelly stove for the cooler months and an outdoor fire ring. Firewood is provided by the hosts and the surrounding woods. Reminder: no running water or electricity. Cell coverage is patchy. Winter guests should be familiar with heating with wood and comfortable snow shoeing. There is no WIFI. The bed is comfy yet quite small, a bit smaller than a double. My husband and I enjoy the closeness but be prepared to cuddle. Sleeps 1 comfortably or 2 people who really like each other ;-). This is truly a tiny house, 7X14. There is a cot available for those who find the berth too cozy for 2. We have a rule, should you bring your dog, we ask you bring him/her with you should you travel out and not leave them behind.
You will be staying in a fabulous part of New England. Two of the finest General Stores around with organic, freshly prepared food. Many world renown cheese makers within minutes , craft brewers, and the Craftsbury Outdoor Center, home of year-round Olympic athletes and a place to get an amazing lunch (call for reservations) where there are also miles and miles of trails to ride, ski or walk, rent skis or a kayak to take on Hosmer Pond (don't be fooled, it is quite an extensive 'pond' and plenty of loons in residence). Also very near stunning Lake Caspian public beach and beloved Willey's Store. You are near the politically radical puppet theater, Bread and Puppet, The Museum of Everyday Life ("I make the museum to glorify the gleeful wish to be driving down the road and see some strange sign, and go in and find something wonderful" says curator/owner Clare Dolan), The Highland Center of the Arts, and Miller's Thumb Gallery. I imagine you will agree after a visit, there is no place like the Northeast Kingdom!!
  • So cute and cozy. A little taste of the wilderness while still staying comfy!

    Stephanie2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely corner of the world. The gypsy wagon is as detached from the grid as it is cozy. My gf and I have come here twice now and we have loved both our stays. The wagon, though small, has endless hidden treasures. It's a beautiful place to see the world from a different angle

    Nicholas2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, very clean and comfy. Cozy with the wood stove.

    Julie2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The Gypsy Wagon is an unusual place. We enjoyed the tranquility and warm atmosphere of the car. It is well appointed and very well equipped. It was a very relaxing fall weekend in a beautiful area of Vermont.

    Thomas2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a glorious place to visit. The description is exactly accurate, everything you need is provided. Gwen is incredibly responsive. Treat yourself to an immunity boost in the woods!

A special little retreat. 12 minutes to Smugglers Notch. 25 min to Stowe. Off grid. 222 square foot Cozy little log cabin, wood stove, composting toilet, on demand (small in size )hot water shower, solar electricity. Full kitchen with refrigerator. The cabin is private with parking . Everything about this special place is small but it's very homey and has everything you need . Verizon cellular works perfect with full 4g LTE.
Log cabin tiny house. Homey , Airbnb has made it so that guests can cancel at anytime. I would prefer a little notice if possible but I understand as well. I do hope that you come. The cabin is a good place for people to get away. My plan to keep the cabin a safe place for people and to ease peoples concerns is that I will be bleach wiping surfaces . I would prefer if Guests brought their own bedding and towels at this time. The beds are full and a single. Also I will have a min 48 hours between reservations. I hope this helps.
Awesome little ski town 12 minute drive to Amazing skiing at Smugglers Notch ski area. The cabin is just 4 miles to great restaurants, grocery story, galleries, canoe/kayak rentals, 30 mile bike trail, horseback trail rides, distilleries, and Wineries , day spa covered bridges and more. In the summer time is 23 minutes to Stowe over the historic mountain pass called Smugglers Notch. 50 minutes to Burlington. 32 minute to jay peak
  • This place was just what we were looking for. It was great to experience the off-grid type living in a tiny cabin! Pk was a great host and he was there to give us instructions about the cabin when we arrived. We had no problems and slept like logs with the running stream just behind us. Very private I would recommend to anyone looking for a similar experience!

  • We had a great stay at the cabin. Came up for a weekend in the winter which was beautiful. It has a good location for accessing Mount Mansfield, Smuggler's Notch, and town is close for meals out. Pk was helpful at check-in with the details of the cabin and local spots to check out. It's a simple, beautiful cabin!
