  • Leon and his wife makes us feel like family when we go up to his camp. It’s a beautiful place with plenty of outdoor space. It’s always a good time at Leon’s! Thank you guys for sharing you little piece of heaven with us!

  • Really nice place, clean and tidy. You can rent kayaks from the owner who is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

    Debanjan2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect for my needs! It has a gorgeous view of Schoodic Lake! Space was clean and couldn't ask for nicer hosts.

    Tom2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • We feel so fortunate to have found this little gem available at a late date. The lake is beautiful and crystal clear. A joy to swim and play in! Leon was a warm and knowledgeable host. The cabin is small but clean and comfortable, with everything you need to have a great time. Access to the water is the main thing at this property. Would be perfect for small families with kids who love to swim, or folks who want to kayak on the lake.

    Donna2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here. Leon & Lanie were both super friendly & helpful. They certainly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The cabin was super cute and accommodated my family perfectly. The location was ideal as it was in close proximity to the landing for launching our boat which was very convenient. Leon even added some extra bumpers to his dock to ensure we could safely keep our boat there and was always around to help us if needed. We can’t wait for next summer to visit again. Many thanks to our hosts for a wonderful week on the lake!

    Christy2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had an awesome time at Leon’s place. Thank you for having us and I hope we can come up to camp again soon!

    Matthew2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful house right on the water. The house is the perfect size for a little vacation getaway on the water. Great fishing spots and Leon is an amazing host.

    Christopher2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had amazing time! Where to begin? Leon & Lanie were very friendly, welcoming, and have a great sense of humor. Leon went out of his way to tell us about local history and mythical stories ;) and helped us build a fire. Their place is small but it has everything you need and the area is beautiful. We definitely enjoyed our stay and wish we stayed longer. Thank you for everything!

  • Great cottage, clean and exactly as described. Nice access to local trails although a bit of a ride to access the ITS trails. Beautiful area.

  • What a great space! Super convenient for our needs. Comfortable space for 5 with 2 full bathrooms. No light pollution and it was cool to hear the deer and see a whole flock of Blue Jays feasting off the front deck in the morning. Libby was speedy in all responses and her suggestion to download the directions before you get to Big Pine Road is spot on (there’s no cell service past The Junction). Will definitely stay here again next year.

    Robbin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Libby and Craig are wonderful hosts. The camp was exactly what we were looking for and more. The view was breath taking. Perfect size for our family. Snowmobile trial at the bottom of the road. All questions answered and more, Craig knows his way around for sure. We can only imagine the beauty in the rest of the seasons. Maine is truly the way life should be!!! Thank you both. We will be back!!!

    Danielle2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay! Very clean and orderly in a nice, just out of town location. The living room couch is sooooo comfortable! The host is very accommodating and the snowmobile trails were right down the road. The 2 full bathrooms were very convenient for getting ready in the morning. Would definitely stay there again!

    Matt2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic cabin for our snowmobile trip. Easy access to trails, ample parking, two bathrooms was key. Really nice cabin with a great view. The hosts were exceptional, answered my many questions and when we had trouble figuring out the stove they were there in minutes. We won't hesitate to stay here again.

    Matt2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to stay! I highly recommend this place.

    Brenda2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was beautiful it looked exactly how it looked in the pictures. We did get a little lost when looking for the cabin but Libby and her family were nice enough to direct us there. Libby and her family were extremely accommodating during our time there. She answered all of our questions extremely really fast. There was no connection out there because it was so far into the woods and the wifi barely worked but other than that it was a great trip and we really enjoyed it!

    Chelsea2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a secluded log cabin in the mountains of Maine with beautiful views, then this is the place for you. The views of the mountains were breathtaking, especially at sunset. The cabin itself was very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy the weekend. Libby and Craig were great hosts and went out of their way to install an AC unit for some hot days. Also, the deer farm on the property was awesome to check out. We saw some beautiful bucks. Just a note, make sure you bring heavy duty bug spray, which was well communicated to us by Libby.

  • Had a great time snowmobiling from Bill's place. Great place!

    Joe2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great Maine camp. The location puts you off the beaten track but gives you access to the lakes and trails. We were happy to have the wood stove each night, and appreciated how kind our hosts were. It’s everything you want and need, if you’re looking for a rental in this part of Maine.

    Johanna2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I loved Bill and Kristen's cabin and land. It offers a lot of privacy and backs right into the trails. There is a lot of deer outside often. It's so peaceful there. They add so many nice touches too! I loved the heated mattress covers ready to use and I was impressed by the whole house heater. Always love a good wood stove too! It was a wonderful, comfy and clean cabin to stay in that's also great for groups. I would love to come back with some friends and snowmobile some winter. Thanks!

    Nora2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a low key location and place to stay, the lodge is definitely a highly recommended spot. Bill and Kristen were very welcoming and hospitable! Our dogs had a blast as well. We hiked the trails and got to see the deer at all hours of the day which was fun to watch. Bissell Bro’s brewery was a lot of fun as well. All in all a great, relaxing weekend getaway.

    Ashlee2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great accommodations for four guys on an ice fishing trip. Plenty of room for vehicles with trailers. Enjoyed being in the woods with no visible Neighbors. Loved having the wood stove after a cold day on the ice.

Four-Season Cottage on Schoodic Lake in Lakeview Plantation Maine. This lakefront property will accommodate 10 people and is the perfect place to enjoy boating—fishing—waterskiing—four-wheeling—snowmobiling—swimming etc. This cottage has a full access dock, firepit area by the water to maximize the outdoor experience, while the cottage built in 2014 has creature comforts like radiant floor heat, wi-fi, laundry and a full kitchen. There is a boat launch near the entrance to the dirt road.
This cottage has one master bedroom on the 2nd floor with a king size bed. There is a kids room adjacent to the master with bunk beds (two twin size beds) on the 2nd floor as well. The rest of the upstairs is a large Great Room with wall to wall carpeting and four skylights that gives this cottage a nice big open space for kids to occupy and is especially nice on a rainy day. This space also has an office desk and extra full mattress to accommodate an extra guest or two. The downstairs has an entranceway/foyer that leads to either the laundry room and/or the kitchen/living room. The kitchen overlooks the lake and has an eat-in island for two. The kitchen includes all necessary pots and pans, dishes and silverware, microwave (small), coffee maker, toaster, gas oven/range and dishwasher. Water is from a drilled well and there is a drinking water filter/ spigot (reverse osmosis) that is mounted to the back of the sink. The lakeside sun room/porch has a twin bed for those that love to wake up to the sun, seating area and dining table that will seat 6 to 8 people. The living room has the cottage's only TV with Apple TV, which can stream Netflix or Hulu. There is a DVD player too. A beautiful wood burning fireplace in the sitting area is great for those chilly nights. Downstairs also has the full bathroom which has a large shower stall and clawfoot tub. The 3rd guest bedroom is also located on the 1st floor and has a queen bed, private porch and additional twin day-bed. All rooms have their own thermostats and radiant floor heat (except the Great Room). If you plan on fishing, you will need to purchase your license on the State of Maine website. Distances from Local Attractions: Bangor International Airport: 49 miles (1 hour 2 minutes) Mt. Katahdin: 66 miles ( 1 hour 48 minutes) Katahdin Ironworks: 14 miles (26 minutes) Acadia National Park: 92 miles (2 hours)
The driveway to this property is shared with one other cottage. These neighbors live here for the summer and are retired. Very nice people. The property to the other side (right side looking at the lake) is my fathers cottage and he is a summer resident as well.
  • This home is in a BEAUTIFUL lakeside location. With quite a bit of snow already on the ground, we really appreciated the woodstove, with firewood on hand. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals for the weekend, and the views from the porch / dining room made them even more enjoyable.

    Michelle2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful home! If you're looking to get away from the world and put aside the responsibilities of your day-to-day, this is the place. You absolutely will not be disappointed. The property is quite secluded and we didn't see another soul throughout our entire stay. Thank you to the whole gang that keeps this place running!

    Jeffrey2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time here! The bed was comfy, there was a full kitchen, and the lake was amazing. So clean and stunning!

    Emily2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a true hidden gem. Perfect for a quiet and relaxing time, connecting with nature, either for adventure of rest. The house is beautiful, very warm and welcoming. It has everything you need -and more- kitchen supplies, books, wifi, movies, kayaks, canoe, fishing stuff, truly everything. The sunrise and sunset view of the lake are breathtaking.. we woke up extra early just for that. Following your recommendations, we went to a local brewery and pizza. We loved the whole experience. 2 h drive to Acadia and much closer from other nice hikes. Thank you very much for everything!!

    Gaby2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place is exactly as pictured. A wonderful place to relax, swim, fish( we caught a 16 inch Bass that was delicious!), boat, nap the day away, and see amazing stars. Stay here- you will be glad you did.

    Stephanie2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • I considered dozens of places in 3 different states and this was the perfect fit for our family. It felt like home away from home - more comfortable than the typical sterile vacation rental. Charming, clean, comfortable beds and tons of light. Owner and manager were very helpful and had lots of good info about the lake and the area. A canoe, 2 kayaks and life jackets on site were put to good use. The kids explored the lake while we lounged on the dock. We’d recommend to anyone looking to unplug and get away for it all.

    Melissa2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a setting! The lake is beautiful and the house is so comfortable. You walk out the door, pass the firepit and you're on the dock. Take a kayak or canoe out into the lake for ultimate tranquility... We had a great weekend! Thanks.

We recently acquired the house we live in which has an efficiency apartment in the back. It is cozy and private. The house is old and unique. It was previously a long term rental. We wanted to provide a restful space in the heart of Maine Highlands, the crossroads of Central Maine. We enjoy the scenic area with beautiful lakes rivers, multiuse trail systems and trail head of the 100 mile wilderness of the Appalachian Trail, Moosehead lake, Maine's largest lake, and State Parks.
This is a small, private apartment looking over a field where wildlife is often seen. We love to watch the wildlife, turkeys, deer, squirrels and birds. We are surrounded by lakes, rivers, and trail systems. We have a beautiful covered bridge 10 minutes away. We provide horse shoes, fire pit and gas grill on request. We also include cable TV, wifi and washer/dryer.
We live in a quiet, family friendly neighborhood. Very residential and private.
  • Spoiled for choice, this spot has the best selection of amenities I've ever experienced from an Airbnb! It was very easy to quickly feel at home. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook meals comfortably. Ruth is an amazing host and communication was easy. I would easily stay here again and can highly recommend to anyone.

    Valerie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Good place you can ride right to the snowmobile trail through backyard.

    Joe2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely adored this little apartment! The scenery is gorgeous, and in the summer I'm certain its even more beautiful. I left my scarf and a sweater behind and Ruth mailed them back to me the next day. Very thoughtful and kind hosts!

    Abby2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing place with beautiful scenery and great Internet signal. Cozy and warm, a haven away from the world. A wonderful way to spend a weekend winter in Maine.

    Josh2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth is a wonderful host, and her place is really cozy! Thanks again, Ruth.

    Isaac2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth's place was great for my partner and I to spend the night on our way to Maine's 100 Mile Wilderness. We arrived late in the evening but Ruth still greeted us and made sure we were comfortable. She also had muffins and coffee in the apartment for us which was an excellent touch! The apartment is clean and quaint, with everything you need for a night or a few days. I would certainly recommend Ruth's place to other travelers that are looking for an affordable option in the region.

Quite 53 acres to run free on, located in central Maine! We welcome and ATVs, horses, dog, and cats to enjoy the trails on and off property. There is a barn with stalls and pasture. We do have horses, dog and chickens living here with us! A 30 minute drive to Bangor or hour and half drive to Acadia park where there are great trails, hiking and beach areas to enjoy.
Quiet country setting, short drive to near by cities or activities.
  • There were many places available when I decided to stay at this farm. I did so because I have a pug at home in Indiana that I missed terribly. Choosing to go to a place that had several made it a perfect choice. I was there in the winter and there was snow cover constantly but the clear night sky is truly something to behold. It really is amazing how much more can be seen away from city lights. I loved the snow too as winter is my favorite season. I was in their apartment for a couple months. They became good friends I feel and were genuinely good people. If I get the chance to return to Maine this will be the first place I look to see if it’s available. I had some significant family losses in the middle of my stay and I am eternally grateful they were there. They listened and truly helped a more than they know. I think the best thing I can say is that Bryant and Dodi are wonderful and caring people that are becoming a rare find. I’m so very fortunate to have found this place and miss being there very much! You won’t find better anywhere! Rich F Greenwood IN Jan 17-March 13 2020

    Richard2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Bryant and Dody are the sweetest, most genuine people I have ever met . The space they offer has a warmth to it that cuts through the cold winters , and the view past the road and pasture cant be beat . I loved my time there much more than expected , and would recommend it to anyone looking for peace in a country setting .

    BreeAnna2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • This country loft is a comfortable, spacious place with a kitchen. We'd stay there again.

    Paula2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy space in a rustic setting, and a gracious host. The space was clean and comfortable, with simple but pleasant furnishings and slightly eclectic decor. You're staying on a farm, so you should come with realistic expectations. Don't plan on sleeping in, because the rooster is an early riser, and the pack of pugs can make a bit of a racket when they're wound up. Otherwise, it was a quiet stay in a beautiful part of Maine's bucolic farm country. If you're looking for a jumping-off point for adventures in the North Woods or just looking to get away to somewhere you can see a million stars, this is a lovely spot for a getaway.

    Michael2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a place to stay en route to Acadia NP and got such phenomenal hospitality from Bryant and Dodie that we were sad to leave so soon. Would definitely return.

    Carrie2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for about a month, everyone was so nice and made me feel very welcome! The location is very beautiful and the space was exactly what I needed!

    Melinda2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Clean place ,we checked in late on the way to Acadia, wonderful place off i95

  • Bryant's studio was a perfect place for us to stay on our way up from Boston to N. Maine. His studio was very clean, had AC, and was very private from his residence near by. He and his wife were extremely hospitable and communicating with them was fast and easy. Their farm was very relaxing with the ducks and rooster roaming around, not to mention their cute pugs! We would definitely recommend staying there and hope to again next time we visit Maine!

    Alexander2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I stayed at one of Brenda's cabins for 2 nights in mid August. The cabins are cuter in person and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Check in/out is a breeze. Comfortable beds. Units have tv, which we were not expecting. It was a bit rainy the days we were here, so we didn't get a chance to utilize the grill or fire pit, but I am sure it would be lovely on a clear, starry night. We had very restful sleep here. Nearby parks were great to round out the more outdoorsy experience, which was what we were looking for. Brenda herself was very responsive when needed. I mistakenly left behind my college sweater (which I realized on the way to the airport). After asking her to please keep an eye out for it, Brenda was very quick to find it and offer to ship home to me. Even going the extra step to launder it, which was above and beyond. So appreciated, I can't thank her enough. Would like to return for a longer stay next time we are in Maine.

The amenities available make you feel like you are at home. The camp is very clean and the hospitality is superb. We hope to come back again next year. Thanks for everything Andy!!!

  • My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here. It's a very quiet location with a great yard, fire pit, and just steps to the lake. The house was clean (with a very comfy bed!) and the kitchen had lots of pots, pans, etc. which was great since we cooked in each night. Andy was very hospitable and quick to respond to messages. We would definitely stay here again!

    Megan2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful way to spend the last days before our wedding! Could not have been more relaxing, had a great kayak and sunbathing session on the deck! Convenient spot for traveling to Katahdin and NEOC and very private spot with plenty of land. Especially gracious host allowing us to play with water toys and help ourselves to groceries. Thanks!

Unplug from your busy life in our cozy, heated modern log cabin complete with everything to make you comfortable. Situated on a private 350 acre compound 1 mile off the main road with trails to snowmobile, snowshoe or walk about and beautiful pond to reflect the most amazing sunsets from your covered porch. Or plan a day trip to Moosehead Lake region, Appalachian Trail, Baxter State Park, Peaks Kenney Park, all within one hour's driving distance.
All you need bring are yourselves and change of clothes; all towels and sheets are stocked. Cabin cleaning after your stay is provided, no charge, no worries. We rent on a daily and weekly basis. Owners are on premises 24/7. Main lodge offers dinners upon request for an additional fee.
We have no neighbors along our 1.2 mile driveway. You can watch the deer, grouse, water fowl, an occasional eagle soaring overhead and occasional fox, hare, or maybe even a moose walking about the compound.
  • These are the cutest cabins on the most beautiful property!! The owners are so friendly and accommodating!!! The location is right on the snowmobile trails, and I wish they had ATV access!!! We will be back for sure!!

    Jennifer2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We came for a long weekend of snowmobiling, and the trails are right outside the cabin door. The cabin was sparkling clean and Brenda & Pete we’re perfect hosts. We especially liked that there was plenty of hot water for the 3 of us. (That is always hit or miss at some cabins we’ve stayed at). Overall, we had a great weekend and got plenty of riding in 😊

    Ray2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I drove all the way from Queens, NY to celebrate the 2020 New Year. From the moment we drove through the private road with all the punny signs, we knew we were in for a treat. We get there and our cabin is already set up for us, sparkling clean and already feeling like home. We cooked steaks on the standing grill, sat next to the fire pit for hours (my favorite), and took walks across the beautiful snow laced property. We brought a drone and took some of the most incredible footage. Brenda and Pete were more than accommodating and go as far as to plowing the roads so guests can safely leave/return. Their dogs Radar and Cupid were so sweet to our pooch and ended up being friends. Will definitely come back and would recommend this place to anyone looking for an escape!

    Anthony2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The little cottage was cute and very clean and had plenty of amenities. I stayed in order to be near my sister's house for a birthday party. Brenda was a friendly and kind host.

    Judy2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cabins appear to be brand new. As soon as you walk in your welcomed by that homey cedar scent. The bed was super comfy and I slept great! The shower is hot with excellent water pressure. Brenda was turning on the heater when we arrived and gave us a wonderful dinner recommendation of the nor’easter down the road where we had amazing food for super cheap! About an hour drive to Moosehead Lake makes it a great location. If you’re a hunter you’ll appreciate the 3 grouse we saw on the driveway.

    Lora2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin I stayed in was absolutely fantastic. I've never stayed in a cabin before, but this made me want to do it again. Beautiful, quiet property. The cabin had TV, a small fridge, fans, and heat for the winter. Great place to stay if you're going snowmobiling, hunting, or just traveling through Maine in general. I was able to do some nice astrophotography here. Make sure you have a car capable for off road, or don't mind taking your car off road though!

  • Was exactly what I was looking for. Nights can be cold, but Karylyn has more than enough blankets to stay cozy - very cute space / definitely a little nostalgia!

    Samuel2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Karylyn is a fantastic host who will go out of her way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Communications were answered quickly and accurately. The room is separate from the main house so it's very private. The bathroom is not connected to the room and is about 50 feet away, but was very clean and inviting. I will be back! Thank you Karylyn!

  • The perfect cabin getaway tucked deep in the Maine woods. We loved our stay here - the perfect way to ring in the new year, in the peaceful snow with the dog! The cabin is close to town, though it simultaneously feels incredibly remote. We enjoyed a New Years snow shoe walk on the trail starting right behind the cabin. Brenda and Pete are the nicest and most accommodating hosts - we will be coming back again!

  • Great place for our big group on ice fishing trip— a ton of beds, big stocked kitchen, and massive living room. The pool table room was a nice bonus. Would like to stay again in the summer.

  • This house was everything we expected and more. Ida is a great host. The house was very clean and updated and had plenty of games and entertainment. It was perfect for our large group because of the amount of space we had. Ida responded very quickly to every one of our messages and was always helpful answering our questions and giving us recommendations. Definitely would recommend this house to anyone with a family or a large group.

    Dalton2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • You will definitely get more than you expected. We spent new year day at this place and enjoyed every moment of it.

    Rashid2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely and perfect home for a large group to stay comfortably, but have a common area and feel cozy. It is definitely off the beaten path and with a steep drive in, so in the winter four wheel drive is best (one of our cars didn’t make it out on first few tries and required us going into town for a bit of rock salt - all the four wheel drive cars got out just fine though with no problem). For getting there, you WILL lose cell service and it’s a little further than google maps tells you it is. There are no house numbers, etc., so definitely print out the map with directions that Ida provides. The lodge itself is immaculately clean, well stocked with everything you could need, with an adorable cozy feel. Though there are bunk beds in the photos, those are actually extra im the basement and not counted in the bed count in the description (which was great because a couple of our group were prepared to do bunk beds and excited they were all full bedrooms upstairs!). There are three full bathrooms on each floor which also made showering with a large group easy. There is one central common area with a tv and pellet stove which is very warm and cozy. I love that this lodge was so dog friendly and my pup was ever so ecstatic to have his own log dog bed! The bathrooms all have extra amenities you would ever need - shampoos, soaps, first aid supplies, etc., as well as many appliances and cookware and cooking staples in the kitchen. There was even fresh milk in the fridge (which is massive along with a freezer that can easily sustain large groups). In case of snow, there was only one plastic shovel we found so I might recommend bringing your own if there is a storm forecasted (the road was plowed, but we shoveled the front steps, etc.). Overall, I cannot speak highly enough of this lodge. It is the perfect getaway out in nature and a wonderful homey feel. Would love to come back in the summer and enjoy the lake!

    Debbie2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • What an incredible place our family loved it. Even with the cold and wet weather, our kids had a great time. Ida had old school board games, and a great recreational room. The Lodge is just secluded enough to give that deep woods atmosphere with all of the comforts of home. There is plenty of bed space and a big kitchen with big appliances for large groups. The Lodge was everything as advertised, and much more. Thank You, Ida

  • We absolutely loved Andrea's place on the lake, it was everything you think about when staying on a lake, great views, homey feeling, beautiful fire place. We only wished we had more time to spend there enjoying it.

  • A comfortable, cozy place to stay in a beautiful part of Maine. Enjoy!

    Michele2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was more than we expected. I stayed for a month as I worked remotely. The cabin is ON the water, right on the water. We could open our widows at night and hear the waves against the shore. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for an extended stay and the space was super comfortable and cozy - it felt like home right away. The trees in that area were amazing colors in October and we had the perfect Maine experience. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Andrea and Tooty were great hosts, super responsive, very informative, and just nice people. We enjoyed it VERY MUCH.

  • This is a beautiful cabin right on the water , you can sit on the deck and enjoy the view , go canoeing or kayaking or just relax on the lakefront deck with the beverage of your choice and take it all in ! The kitchen has all you would need to cook your meals , or not - there are several good restaurants within driving distance and the ones we tried were really good , There is a public swimming beach about a 5 minute walk away , so if you have kids along , they will have fun , you don’t have to bring along everything you own , , , the cabin has a washer & dryer , so you can pack light , and wash your stuff when needed, And if you have a rainy day there is satellite tv If there’s a problem or questions Andrea is just a phone call or text away and she will quickly come to the rescue ! This reminds me of the Minnesota cabin we have visited for the last 30 years ! What a GREAT PLACE !!

  • This place is a rustic, little hideaway, if you need some much needed R & R. The owners have thought of everything you may need. They communicate, and offer any help, needed. They are next door, so if you are traveling alone, this helps. It was a winter wonderland during our visit, which made it very peaceful. We hope to visit again.

  • Everything about our stay and the hospitality we received was amazing. Arrival on Valentine's day my children found a care package that they loved. The whole place is amazing and extremely cozy even in a very cold winter! We we're sad to leave and already are looking to return. I recommend this cabin and host to anybody.

    Matthew2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was truly a great spot! I was looking for a place to get away for a solo Christmas retreat and Andrea's house fit the bill perfectly. There weren't many people at the lake during the week and I was able to enjoy some solitude. The views were amazing, the cabin was cozy and warm. And I enjoyed watching sunrises from the couch over the lake! I would definitely return. I imagine it is a totally different vibe in the summer as well. Andrea left great instructions and the cabin had everything I needed for a lovely stay! She even left a thoughtful little Christmas gift of chocolate, socks a mug and a card for me. So sweet! Thank you for a perfect spot for my week Andrea!!

  • We had a fantastic time staying at 24 Holiday Lane! We came up for the weekend to participate in the Millinocket half marathon and after an exhausting race on Saturday, the cabin was the perfect place to relax. Everything was very cozy and clean, and it provided everything we could need to enjoy the weekend. We especially appreciated the well equipped kitchen. Our group had a great time cooking, playing card games, and enjoying the amazing lake views (especially the gorgeous sunrise). We will definitely be coming back!

    Joe2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • 24 Holiday Lane was wonderful, a perfect getaway even in November. Views of the lake right off the cabin deck and out the windows with awesome sunrises were perfect. We even enjoyed the sound of the small waves produced by the wind across the lake at night with our bedroom window slightly open. Everthing was clean and nicely appointed.

The property is located on the lake with 300' of swimmable waterfront access, dock, and boat access. • The lodge in Sebec Lake is a wonderful space. We had a super nice weekend, with BBQ, canoeing, bonfire, a great space for group fun. The rooms were spotlessly clean. We were very pleased with the attention of the hosts. The care they have with the small details is amazing. We highly recommend the stay!

More on Sebec Lake: Located in central Maine's Piscataquis River Valley, Sebec Lake is surrounded by a land of recreational opportunity. Whether you come to relax in New England's rural countryside or accept the challenge of the Appalachian Trail, Sebec Lake has it all. Boating, fishing, hiking, hunting, canoeing, scenic drives and wildlife viewing are among the many activities found in the Maine Highlands region that surrounds Sebec Lake. A scenic 45-mile drive northwest of Bangor takes you to the rolling hills and wooded shoreline of Lake Sebec. The 11-mile long lake is formed on the Sebec River by the Sebec Dam. Twice a year Sebec Lake's water level is lowered from its average depth of 42 feet to encourage the salmon spawning. More than 800 properties are tucked among the trees surrounding Sebec Lake. Whether you select a lakeside or countryside vacation rental, the lake will provide the perfect home away from home. Here you can wake to fresh mountain air, plan your daytime excursions, and relax to the calling of loons at the end of a perfect day. Visitor needs are served by the quaint communities of Dover-Foxcroft, Bowerbank, Milo, Willimantic and Sebec. Peaks-Kenny State Park is near the community of Dover-Foxcroft. Here you will find 813 acres offering campsites, picnic areas, restrooms, showers, a bathhouse and beach. Several public parks and ramps can be found along Sebec Lake's shoreline, concentrated in the communities of Dover-Foxcroft, Sebec and the village of Sebec Lake. The Milo Public Boat Landing provides access to Sebec Lake from the Sebec River. Maine's Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Department places Sebec Lake in Region E (Moosehead Region). They state that the pristine waters of Sebec Lake are one of the original homes of landlocked salmon in Maine. Stocked lake trout can also be found along with smallmouth bass and white perch. The dramatic view that spans Sebec Lake's horizon includes Mount Katahdin. At 5,267 feet, it is Maine's highest mountain and the end of the Appalachian Trail. To the north of Sebec Lake is Borestone Mountain. Here you can hike the trails of the 1,640-acre Borestone Mountain Audubon Sanctuary or visit their interpretive nature center. Located within the shadows of the mountains are Moosehead Lake, Maine's largest lake, and Baxter State Park, where you can enjoy hiking, climbing and camping. Whether you choose to canoe, kayak, bike, hike or drive into Sebec Lake's countryside, the scenery is spectacular. Not to be missed are the nineteenth-century Katahdin Iron Works State Historic Site and two National Natural Landmarks. The first is Gulf Hagas, a 3.5-mile long gorge that is part of the Appalachian Trail. In contrast to the rugged bedrock of the gorge, "The Hermitage" holds 35 acres of Maine's oldest white pines and is protected by the Nature Conservancy. Summer is not the only busy season at Sebec Lake. When "leaf peepers" arrive to view the spectacular color around Lake Sebec, thoughts turn to camping, hiking and the chance to hunt. Among the wildlife to be found in the forests or game preserves are black bear, moose, deer, elk and game birds. During the winter, Sebec Lake residents can expect to see temperatures approach zero with area snowfalls averaging 85 inches annually. This is the season for ice fishing, snowmobiles, skis, snowshoes and dogsleds. No matter the season or choice of recreation, a stay at Sebec Lake will place you central to it all.

  • Beautiful place! Can't wait to return!!

    Lisa2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We’ve been coming to Sebec Lake for many years to visit my mother-in-law. She passed away in December and we were in the area for a very quick trip for her services. The place was excellent! Immaculate and spacious; we had plenty of room for our family of 5 (3 adults, one teenager, and a 12 year old). Rafal’s communication is spot on. He was available prior to our stay, and stayed in touch leading up to the visit. The host manual contains plenty of local recommendations, as well as tips for the house itself. The view is absolutely beautiful! We were there during winter so the lake was frozen and snow covered, but we saw a ton of deer walking across the lake! It was so peaceful and serene - perfect for the occasion. We will definitely come back for a summer trip. Appreciate the hospitality!

    Courtney2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home and location! Everything exceeded our expectations! Thank you!

    Lucy2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect lake home! The Host is a true professional. You will not be disappointed. We will be back.

    Christopher2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing home and view and town. The lake house is cozy and warm and heartwarming. You’ll love it!

    Carrie2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place!!! Such a perfect set up for small and large families. This is a MUST! Raf will respond instantly for any questions you may have.

    Kelvin2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • My stay on Sebec Lake was one to remember. The other guest and I had an awesome relaxing weekend. I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling in the area. The house was very clean, Rafal was very accommodating and quick to respond, and the location is in a quaint area with beautiful views. I will. definitely look into staying here again!

    Marissa2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great host, place, amenities, price for the number of potential guest! We had a glorious stay and Rafal was so quick to respond to the few questions we had before and during our stay that we felt well hosted even being so privately located and undisturbed, which are two of the best parts about the place and stay. Nothing but praises here. Clean, functional, beautiful, perfect!

My place is close to nature; sitting at the foot of Buker Mountain, elevation 1020 ft. A trail to the top of the mountain offers views of Sebec lake and surrounding mountains. An additional trail to the right, will take you to an abandoned granite quarry. The area is a great spot for hunting and fishing. Additional hiking is a short drive from the camp. It's a great place to unplug. If this property is already booked, check out my camp on the lake! https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/15003431?s=51
Cabin in the woods. Fireplace is available for use but we recommend some knowledge of using the damper or you will fill the house with smoke. The cabin has a rustic exterior with modern amenities inside. We offer weekly rates.
The cabin is situated on a town maintained dirt road. It has 3 season access. Most of the neighbors are a good distance away. They are friendly and helpful. Don`t be surprised if someone stops by to chat. I block use of the cabin in the winter, due to the road conditions; the town does not plow the road that passes by the camp. It is available May through November.
  • Beautiful place to go camping. can get lost easily so take your time getting their. enjoy your surroundings.

    Andy2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin has ample room with modern rustic charm. Very large property to enjoy and spend a relaxing weekend away.

    Jaye2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is just like the pictures. If you want a beautiful cabin and rustic country getaway it's just what you're looking for.

    Michelle2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin in the woods is absolutely a great getaway. We have been twice and already want to go back. Very quiet, clean and cozy. Just a perfect spot to escape busy life.

    Chris2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • A great secluded spot, wish there was wifi or cell service but we worked our way without it.

    Sabiha2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Vickie is an outstanding host. Her communication is spot on, and she will make you feel right at home. The location is gorgeous, right in the middle of beautiful country woods. Expect that you will be well heated for cold nights, but it's Maine, temperatures can get a bit hot in the summer. Thanks Vickie!

    Stephen2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Vickie's cabin was quaint, cute, and full of personal touches. We were more than comfortable and found it to be better than expected. We mostly used the cabin for sleeping as we went back and forth to another camp on the lake. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had more amenities than expected. The fridge was perfect size for the long weekend. The tv and dvd were used a bit by adults and kids. The bathroom with a full-size tub/shower was excellent. The cabin was neat and clean. We had a great time!

    Shelby2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Vickie's place was absolutely fantastic - exactly what we needed; quiet and beautiful location in the woods, and the cabin was clean, comfortable, and incredibly cozy. The working fireplace was our favorite bit! Also a huge thanks to Vickie to having the area plowed due to last minute snow and saving our weekend plans - fantastic host! We will for sure be back again.

  • Amy’s place is nice and clean ... wonderful peaceful location .. I highly recommend to anyone in the area to visit this spot 👍👌

    Mazal2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for 5 days and had a great time. The location is close to town, but isolated enough so you don’t feel like you’re packed in close to others. The neighbor across the street, Kevin I think his name is, was very nice and welcoming and gave great tips on where to go and places to see. Amy’s responses were fast and professional. She even let us bring my husky mix!

    Tyler2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay - everything was as described! Amy was very quick with responses. Would definitely recommend.

Cabin 2 is our largest, with handicapped access, and extra interior space . Sled right from your door to ITS in the winter, hike our trails, bird watch the waterfowl on the pond or spy an occasional eagle flying overhead. Day trip to Bar Harbor, Baxter State Park, Mt. Katahdin and the Appalachian Trail, or the Moosehead Lake Region. Boating, fishing, swimming nearby at Peaks Kenney State Park 14 miles away. International airport in Bangor.
You can enjoy a barbecue picnic on your own charcoal grill and picnic table. Tools provided and all dinnerware as well. Our comfortable main lodge serves breakfast and dinners upon request for an extra fee. We are located in middle Maine, short car rides from our driveway to all points N/S/E/W. No artificial street light along our driveway, just big sky and starry nights relaxing by the fire pit. We allow pets but charge a $20.00 fee for your stay.
We are on a private, secluded 350 acre compound down a 1.2 mile driveway right off Rt. 6/16, also known locally as Milo Road. Our only neighbors are deer, hare, ducks and other wildlife.
  • Cabin 2 was cozy, offering space for 6 to enjoy a stay while taking in the beauty and offerings of the area. I was in the region for the annual Millinocket Marathon & Half. The morning of the race the drive was an easy, one hour ride to the start line! Thanks, Brenda~

    Sheila2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • These cabins and the setting of these cabins provides a nice 'Maine' experience. We were sad that this was only a 1 night stayover on our road trip as we would have loved to stay longer in this peaceful setting. The cabin had everything you would need for a short or long trip and had fun extra touches like corn hole and a fire pit. Although we did not get to really enjoy the added touches on our short stay we thoroughly enjoyed looking at the night sky, being able to see so many stars and see the milky way. We also enjoyed getting breakfast in Brenda's house and getting to meet her, her husband, her dogs, and hearing about hunting with their dogs. Brenda had eggs, bacon, and homemade bread for us for breakfast, yum! Brenda was a great host, she was always quick to answer my questions, via email and she came and introduced herself and chatted with us upon arrival. I definitely recommend staying here.

    Elizabeth2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Words can't express how amazing Brenda was! from the moment we arrived to the very end when we left it was five star service. She has two dogs that are the most loveable dogs around. The Cabin was clean and was very accurate to the description. I Highly consider staying here especially in cabin two if you have a bigger group. We had six Ladies for the weekend trip at this cabin. It was amazing and highly recommend. We will return!

    Nicole2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful, you feel like you are out west... The cabins were sparkling clean and cozy, the grounds immaculate! Brenda went over and above to make sure we were comfortable and our questions answered. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and hope I can soon!!!

    Susan2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Nice clean cabins

    Bryan2019-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda's cabins are nothing short of perfect. The cabin had everything we needed for our short stay, plus more. We had plenty of room to spread out for our family of four (and a pup) and my boys loved the loft space. The cabin is not only adorable, but it's extremely clean (you would think it was brand new). We loved the cabin, but we loved the property even more! The property is absolutely beautiful. We loved exploring the trails, which Brenda was nice enough to share. We woke-up to snow on New Years day, which was icing on the cake. I highly recommend Brenda's cabins, we hope to visit again!

The cottage is on Sebec Lake. You’ll love my place with views of the lake and mountains.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). It is situated on a plowed road with year round access. There is no cell service or wifi, it is a great place to unplug. There is a phone for local calls. Cell service is available a short drive away. IF this property is already booked, please check out my other camp in the woods. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/13777392?s=51

  • Our stay was great. The cottage was comfortable and the location can't be beat. Quiet and beautiful yet ten minutes from town. Relaxing places to sit and eat throughout the house and grounds. Cottage is well equipped in all ways. Our visit was worth every five of the stars were gave.

  • Vickie's place was conveniently located on the lake and just a walk away from a boat rental place. Very quiet and peaceful weekend. Other than that this place is great and I would recommend!

  • Brenda went above and beyond to make sure our stay went as smooth as possible. The place itself was amazing (as expected) and we really appreciated her responsiveness. We felt comfortable knowing she was there for anything we might need. All in all, a great trip and a great AirBnB. Thank you!

  • Brenda's place was just what we were looking for on our recent weekend away in central Maine. Very clean and cozy. Brenda's design sense means there are thoughtful (and creative) touches throughout the place. And it was nice and warm, even during a cold weekend. We were lucky enough to meet Brenda and her partner, and they provided some great suggestions for places in the area to check out. We'd love to come back in the summer to further explore the property (and surrounding area)!

  • Beautiful home in lovely Dover - Foxcroft. Beautifully decorated with unique furniture and elegant style. Sparkling clean and when we had a slight issue with the trundle bed, our hosts were there within 5 minutes to help us fix the issue. Thanks so much for an awesome stay and we will be back!

    Denise2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • The barn was absolutely amazing, every room was extremely unique from the next and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The town of Dover-Foxcroft is very charming and it was a perfect long weekend getaway. Although we didn’t get to meet Brenda, we did meet her husband rob and he was so welcoming and informative about how they have renovated the space. The grounds are just as gorgeous as the inside of the home. The thought and detail that has gone into this home is absolutely unbelievable. One of the best Airbnb experiences we have ever had and we will most definitely be coming back!

  • What a beautiful creation. Lovely space luxurious fabrics and tv is like having your own private movie theater! Do not hesitate to book. Highly recommend!

    Carolyn2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing!! Especially the main bedroom with 18 foot high vaulted ceiling, lots of natural lighting, beautiful restored floors and very spacious. Great farm style kitchen and in the livingroom a 75 inch TV as if you're in a theater. Nice town with amenities that include Stop n Save grocery store, coffeeshop with $2 dollar Tuesdays and a vintage theater built in 1940. Located centrally to Baxter State Park and Maine's coast.

This area is loaded with winter and summer activities. We're close to Moosehead Lake, Greenville & Monson! ATV, Snowmobile & outdoor equipment rentals near by!
The house looks and feels like a big open cabin on the inside. You have the whole space to yourselves to enjoy. There is one bedroom downstairs with a private bath, another bedroom upstairs also with a private bath, and the third bedroom is a loft which is accessed by a set of ladder stairs and has two twin beds. There is a bathroom on the main floor that can be used by all. We provide all linens, shampoo/body wash-in-one in the showers, wifi, Netflix, a few games, coffee and tea. You are free to use the pellet stove if you'd like, we have instructions in a binder in the kitchen. BONUS: This property is equipped with a generator that will keep the whole house running should the power go out! We ask that if this happens, please limit the use of the washer, dryer and any other heavy equipment.
Abbot Maine is an outdoor paradise! Snowmobile, ski, snowshoe, attend a dogsled race, icefish, hike and sight see are just some of the activities to do in the area. Greenville, home of iconic Moosehead Lake, is a 20 minute drive north, historic and charming Monson is 10 minutes away. There is a dining guide in the guest binder in the kitchen to these towns. Also in the binder are pamphlets to a few local attractions of the area. Piper Pond is only two miles down the road with a public beach and boat landing and ice fishing in the winter.

We found almost everything we needed in the well-stocked kitchen and laundry. The space accommodated our group of five adults and two children splendidly, and the dock worked great with our boat (and visitors' boats). Swimming, boating, kayaking, and fishing are excellent. And the hosts are fantastic! We are already hoping to go back.

  • The house and land are absolutely beautiful. The house is fully stocked with extra pillows, blankets, plenty of clean towels. Wifi was good. Travis was easy to get in touch with and check-in was a breeze. The location is a good distance from stores so plan accordingly. We loved the privacy and seclusion. We were visited daily by a group turkey. We walked on the trails and sat by the pond with our coffee. I would love to rent this house for the whole month of October.

  • This is a beautiful home and property. The space is so quiet and peaceful. Large home that has plenty of space for three couples. The centralized location of the home allows you to be at the Canadian border in 3 hours and the Coast of Maine in 2. Jeff and Travis are amazing to deal with and were very quick to deal with small problems. Travis had great advice for places to see and go to eat. If up in that area again we will definitely stay at their home again.

Come stay on the grounds of a 1913 Edwardian Colonial in the original carriage house at Peony Hill. The carriage house is a full one bedroom, full bath, kitchen, eat-in dining area, along with spacious living room complete with a cottage/cabin feel. The decor is quaintly appointed with regional Maine finds and vintage antiques scattered in the professional decor.
Dexter is the heart of Maine. A small quintessential New England town in the Maine Highlands.
Dexter Maine is home to the original Dexter Shoe Factory, along with the Woolen Mills that made Dexter a thriving town. Now it is a small, quaint area in the center of Maine within walking distance to Lake Wassookeag, a 1200 acre lake. Great fishing, boating, kayaking, and swimming. ATV and snowmobile trails abound.
