Dave was extremely warm and welcoming! He gave great recommendations about where to go and what to eat in Falmouth. He also gave us a ride to the beach where you could only park with a permit. His home is beautiful. I would definitely stay here again!

The house was incredibly beautiful and immaculate...the pictures didn't do it justice. Dave was the perfect host who was available, very enjoyable to talk to and full of great restaurant and sightseeing information. He truly opened up his house to us and it felt like we were home. We had a nice time at Gil's ! It was secluded and peaceful , perfect for coming home to after a day of visions family. The first night we slept 12 hours that was so nice . The dock is really cute. The little fridge had a few drinks and some bagels. The water in the shower was so soft my hair and skin felt so nice. Gil gave us some suggestions for places to eat and see. This Westport, Ma studio apartment was perfect for our weekend trip and met all our needs and beyond. Gilbert was an excellent host and the use of his kayaks with my daughter was above and beyond a normal Airbnb transaction. The cover picture doesn't do the place justice- the area is gorgeous and picturesque on the water. The area is also relaxing and peaceful. We highly recommend Gilberts place and will come calling again when we are in the area.

This was a great experience... Gil was extremely flexible regarding our arrival time and the neighborhood was GREAT! We were there for a friends wedding, but stayed an extra night to make a weekend out of it, and are extremely happy that we did. The surrounding area is quiet and low-key, with numerous farm-stands, farm-to-table restaurants, wineries, breweries. Gil showed us a map of the surrounding area, and then basically left us alone for the rest of our stay, but I am sure that if we had wanted to chat more, he would have been more than welcoming. The house is very close to the ocean, and there is a wonderful view out the window. Thanks for an awesome stay!

Gilbert was a wonderful host! We didn't stay long but the space was clean and cozy. It had a lot of extras I didn't expect. My only advise is to get the directions from Gilbert directly he is far more accurate and pleasant to talk to than my GPS.

My friend and I are both Stand Up Paddle boarders. The dock is a stone's throw from the apartment, super easy access to the river. So it was perfect for us. Gilbert was very accommodating. He gave us a flexible (early) arrival time so we could spend more of the day on the water paddling. Communication was easy via text. All the neighbors seem to know one another as it is a small community on the water. We felt very safe. Big thumbs up!!!

Great house with a cool history!

We stayed here for the weekend it was a fabulous find! We are both architects so we very much appreciated the place inside and out - lots of attention to detail in the design of the space and amenities. Very comfortable places to relax inside around the living area and out with the backyard patio. The location was great too easy walking distance to old town shops and points of interest. One last thing George is very responsive to any question - overall this spot was an excellent find - we would definitely recommend and stay again if in the area!!

George was a gracious host. The carriage house is elegant and spacious. A good location for exploring New Bedford.

Look no further! Select this AirBnB! George was super accommodating, and so welcoming. The carriage house is utterly charming. The space is private - a living room, bedroom and bathroom are completely yours. (George resides in a different part of the house.) There were darling amenities as well like a coffee machine, snacks, fresh robes and bottled water. There is also a magical little garden that is great for enjoying your morning coffee. The place is about a five minute walk from the small shopping area. You can also get to the Martha's Vineyard/Nantucket ferry in 10-12 minutes.

This location was perfect - was in town for a wedding in Mattapoisett which was only a 6 mile drive. The neighborhood is quiet, and Dierdre and her husband were so welcoming and friendly! The little things were what made it so appealing: The fridge stocked with snacks, fresh blueberries, some juice, and also coffee beans/a grinder, hot-pot for boiling water, a plethora of teas and snacks. The suite was cozy but exactly what we were looking for. Would definitely recommend!

We love when we are pleasantly surprised and that we were at Deirdre's sweet little apartment this week. Clean, clever, and with a wonderful bath and view. Our hosts were very helpful, both in making us comfortable and giving us suggestions of where to go. We ate three times at Elizabeth/Margaret's, and should have made it four! You must walk their neighborhood and visit the library and go see the beautiful park and beach. Closer than we thought to Newport. And if you go soon, make sure you visit the Newport Art Museum for exhibits of some incredible local artists.

Deirdre was out of town during my stay, but was sure to alert me of her absence before my arrival. Her husband was there to greet me when I arrived. Check in was a breeze, and the room looked just as it appeared in the booking. The location is a convenient halfway point between Newport, RI and the Cape, and I would recommend this for any traveler looking to book near these locations. I enjoyed my stay in Fairhaven and have no negative comments to make about this listing.

I really enjoyed my stay in Fairhaven. I am originally from Mattapoisett and wasn't familiar with this part of the town The proximity to the water is very nice. The room is very pleasnt and the bed comfortable. The bathroom is particularly nice with a lovely tiled shower stall. It was warm and muggy during my stay so i used the window air conditioner which is quite noisy and then at some point shuts off. This was the only downside. Access to room is from outside steps which i wouldnt want to do in winter. There is a lovely garden and i enjoyed talking there with Deirdre.I will be back.

We had a lovely stay with Deirdre in Fairhaven. The room overlooked the water and it was very cozy! The bed was super comfortable and the backyard was very nice to relax in. Deirdre was a great host - we wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a wonderful time in Cape Cod and have nothing but the highest praise for Charles and his home. He made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived and was a perfect host, warm, friendly and open, sharing recommendations for things to do and places to eat, and he made us delicious breakfast both mornings. His home is beautiful and comfortable, and we particularly enjoyed sitting in front of the fire reading some of the interesting books we found on the shelves. The location is great as well, near the sea and pretty Cape Cod towns with a lot of history, and good restaurants and bookstores. It was one of the coldest weekends of the winter but we were always warm and happy. I would highly recommend staying at Charles's place.

We really enjoyed our stay at Charlie’s home. He is kind and generous with information about the Falmouth area and makes an excellent breakfast. He's easy going and very intelligent. It was a pleasure staying with him. In fact we stayed twice in July and we’re looking forward to staying with him again next summer.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Charlie's charming home. The accommodations were spacious and very private. It feels like you are in your own house, since you literally have an entire wing of the house. The wing of the house Charlie rents has an old beachy Cape Cod feel that we loved. The breakfasts in his beautifully remodeled kitchen were delicious, and Charlie was really fun to chat with. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The eco-apartment is clean, quiet, and has lots of space - it's great to have bedrooms spread out on 2 levels. An easy quick drive from the downtown restaurants and shops. Carol is a great communicator, and it was easy to get in when I had to arrive late at night.

The apartment was clean, VERY spacious and really lovely! Carol could not have been more available for questions and guidance. I would highly recommend this home. The only thing I would have liked to have had were better directions as to exactly "where" it was. It was very difficult to figure out exactly where to go! And, we had no idea where the key was once we got there, and accidentally walked into the next door neighbor's apartment! However, Carol was luckily available to walk us through all that. It would have been much easier and saved a lot of time and hassle had we had that information up front. All in all, a wonderful stay once we got settled! :-)

We had a great stay at Carol's place on our way from Rhode Island to Boston. Very spacious and comfortable. Nice to have the cafe below for an easy breakfast.

We had a very comfortable stay at Carol's eco Oasis! There was a flexible check-in and check-out time, which is always helpful when traveling from out of state. The apartment was just as pictured and had plenty of space for 4 guests. Carol was available to assist with whatever we needed. I would recommend staying here if in the New Bedford area; this apartment is conveniently located to just about everything!

Carol was very easy to work with and has a really nice townhome to rent. We found it clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. The temperature in the townhome was fine and never needed adjustment. The kitchen and shared area is large and exactly as pictured. We were a little worried about the surrounding community as it was a little run-down in spots, but never had any problems in the two nights we were there. Carol answered all our questions and was available as needed.

I just enjoyed 6 nights at Milly's rental in W. Falmouth. It's a lovely spot in a quiet neighborhood. 20 steps from the driveway takes you to a beautiful inlet leading out to Snug Harbor. Swans, geese, and ducks greet you every morning. A few more steps and you are on the 11 mile Shining Sea Bikeway. You can start your day with a walk or bike ride. The birds sing like crazy along the way. The rental is furnished with everything you need for your stay. The apartment is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. I highly recommend it! There are stores and restaurants nearby and the apartment is only a short drive to downtown Falmouth, beaches and many other Cape Cod attractions.

Milly and Tom were great hosts! We thoroughly loved staying there. The garden is quiet and secluded and sheltered, and steps away from a creek with paths, and the Cape Cod bike path. We had a great stay!

Paul was such a wonderful host! His place was absolutely perfect for me and my girlfriend to stay at - it had everything you could ever need! Just a quick drive to some fun places in the area, and only 45 minutes from the Cape, or Newport!

WolfHaus is a pleasant place to spend a quick overnight, which is what I did, or I think to spend several days. Paul gave me detailed tour of the apartment, pointing out the location of everything. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay en route to Martha's Vineyard or beaches on the cape, this is it. The house is well-located and the apartment, what I would call an English basement, has big windows and a creatively designed interior that capitalizes on the space available. The cottage was perfect - exactly as described, quaint, and just the right amount of space for two travelers. We really liked being in a residential area and plenty to experience within walking distance (e.g., Coffee Obsession, Pie in Sky, Jimmy's). Having an off-street parking spot was great. It was nice to have wi-fi, too!

Carlos' place was picturesque and cozy! A very comfortable place for one or two to spend a week while at the MBL. Only a 5 minute walk from the main buildings, it is a very convenient location. I found the place itself to be clean and tidy, tastefully decorated, and it just felt "New England Coast". Carlos was a gracious host and was very accommodating of my odd arrival schedule. I really enjoyed my stay! The place is ideal for anyone working at MBL as it is only a short stroll around the pond away. The area is pleasant and scenic and I enjoyed walking through the neighborhood in the morning, coffee in hand, taking in the fresh air. The cottage was exactly what I was looking for: a comfy bed, warm shower, and small kitchen area to prepare meals. It is also quiet, peaceful, and a great place to relax. Carlos was an excellent host. He contacted me before my arrival to make sure everything was set and that I knew how to find the place. He was also very helpful in answering my questions and accommodating me. Overall I highly enjoyed my stay. I would highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking to get away and relax or anyone who needs a place as a visiting scientist/student at MBL.

This is a charming tiny house that would be perfect for 1-2 people. Very clean, all the amenities that I needed. Great location for staying in Woods Hole, or if you plan to explore Falmouth and the rest of the Cape.

Bed large and comfortable. Clean. Nice and helpful hosts. Great outdoor shower. Quiet location and not far from Falmouth Center. Did not go to Woods Hole though told it is close and interesting. Small room. No closets. No AC; brought own fan although was offered a fan.

This was the first time staying at Airbnb and we loved it! It's a very private and lovely house in a beautiful area. There's a patio table/chairs to enjoy morning coffee and muffins! There's also a grill. We brought a fan but really didn't need it because there was one in the window and lots of cross ventilation. It was perfect for sleeping and the bed is very comfortable. My husband wanted me to pull off the sheets to see what kind of mattress it was. I forgot! We were visiting family who lives in the village. We loved the location of Donna's place and it was easy to get back and forth to the town center. If you're coming back when it's dark leave the outside light on! We would definitely stay here again!!! It was perfect for both of us!!

This was a great little hidden gem. The location was great- easy to get to woods hole or downtown falmouth. Or you could just relax in their neighborhood and yard. The place was simple but had everything you needed, even left a fan for us which definitely helped, otherwise would have been hot without it. It was the perfect place for a getaway weekend!

Overall we had a good stay. One takeaway is that we won't rent another AirBNB that doesn't provide interior photos. Area is scenic, and quiet. Nice private entrance and outside with 2 chairs and a table with good shade - good for a drink or reading. Also a gas grill which we didn't use. 1/2 mile walk to the beach on dirt roads, which was fine with us. No place to park near the beach, but people leave their beach chairs there during their stay. Nice beach for the cape - good size and not crowded. Good for sunsets. Very comfortable bed. Not really a sitting area or table in the room. Both outdoor and indoor shower had plenty of hot water and water pressure. Kitchenette was a little smaller than we had envisioned with a mini-refrigerator, a small sink, and a small microwave. Outdoor shower was right outside the window so when others used it early in the morning it could be a little noisy. We were really glad we brought a window fan. With that the room was extremely comfortable.

Donna met me when I arrived, pointed out to me the guest parking and showed me around. The neighborhood is beautiful. It is a short walk to a private beach off Gunning Point Road. I enjoyed my stay and I'm sure I'll be back.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time! Donna was very nice and friendly. She even left us blueberry muffins for breakfast. Woods hole is a 5-7 min drive from here and it's a perfect place if you want to do a day trip to Martha's Vineyard! Overall, had an amazing experience and would do it all over again!

A great flat and a very kind host. Even we were very late to check-in Kiaos welcomed us. The flat is clean, neat and very close to the ocean. If we had more time in newport we would definetaly stay with Kiaos longer.

Very comfortable and quiet home in a great location. Beach access is just a few hundred yards away. You can walk to Padanaram village and harbor for browsing shops, weekly produce market, gourmet deli, restaurants and bars. A car is essential for complete practicality and allows you access to full shopping experiences and restaurants in the beautiful SouthCoast area. Check out the area farm stands! Kaios is a spectacular host. His home is a relatively new purchase and he has been working very hard to upgrade it and the woodland around it with great success. Very friendly, yet discreet if appropriate. The interaction is very laid back and casual and he is eager to please when requests are made. He is a pro at making people comfortable and I hope he finds success as an Airbnb host. His woodland garden is full of birds and his feeder is amazingly busy in the morning. Winter viewing would be cool. He understands the delicate balance of keeping a woodland setting, while maintaining growth for guest enjoyment. Kaios always has a large pot of coffee on in the morning and the bird viewing is a gentle way to start the day. Great high speed wifi and Netflix access if needed.

Our teenage girls loved staying in the garden house, dinner on the screened in porch was lovely, we drove your car to the beach, the girls rode your bikes. We had a wonderful time and will certainly come back to discover more or this part of MA that is so close to Boston and yet completely new to us.

Easygoing, casual house with a warm vibe. We felt at home right away. Previous guests had left some garbage and we had a hard time finding the sheets (they were in the dryer) but we made do and really enjoyed the house. It's quiet and coney. loved the wood burning stove and bathtub!

Very quiet, and relaxing place. Quiet neighborhood as well. About 15 minutes from the beach, 10 minutes to the closest grocery store and gas. Around this time not too many people around the neighborhood. The place is spacious, with helpful little notes around to guide and inform of laundry, dishes, and garbage. Cute place with large yard, wonderful fire pit, and perfect for the summer and sunny months! Great for relaxing!

This house was awesome. It is a small house on about an acre of property. It was perfect for me, my wife and our dog. Our dog had a blast running in the spacious yard. We grilled a few nights and enjoyed a nice bonfire in the pit in the yard. The house was lined with a stone wall that our dog didn't really try to jump over. The host was great, as well. He was speedy in his responses and knowledgable about the area. As we were pulling out of the driveway to head home, my wife and I both told each other that we would stay here again since we had such a relaxing and down to earth get-away.

This Airbnb experience was so positive that we would be thrilled to come back to stay here again. The house is very cozy and clearly full of love. Comfortable beds, two hot shower (the outdoor one was my favorite - one can see the colorful leaves on the giant trees while shampooing!), a well-groomed backyard where one can relax and/or play, washer/dryer, a full kitchen, a living room with fireplace, what more can one ask for?! Check-in and check-out was smooth. No stress about "what exact time" we were coming or going, which was nice. We came with four people (two couples) and there was still so much more space (an entire bedroom with a twin bed and the bungalow with four bunkbeds) that we didn't even need. The bungalow would be perfect for kids or for adults who want to have a camp-like experience. One doesn't hear so much about people heading down this way for vacation, but one would be silly to pass by this place in favor of the Cape. It feels like an oasis, an area with both sandy and rocky coastline, and many conservation areas/wildlife refuges where one can experience nature. We went to dinner once at Fathom's in New Bedford, had brunch twice at the Bayside in Westport, and had a cozy, delicious second dinner at Bittersweet Farm in Westport. One can visit an interesting array of animals at Alderbrook Farm - dwarf goats, huge cows, cute pigs that hide under the hay, peacocks, and fluffy chickens - and shop for fresh veggies and other local goodies in the farm store. We loved staying at Cruger's coastal abode and hope to be back again.

Somebody wrote a review stating it felt like staying in the house of a cool uncle. That's how it felt for us too. It is a nice place. Not to organized but everything is there. Cruger is easy going and helpful. The garden is magnificent. It's a pitty the bridge was closed; we found out one of the last days there are some nice bars in South Dartmouth. The beach is great but a bit chilly at the beginning of May. We had a great time. Could only imagine how the house would be in the summer when you can stay out all the time!
