This cosy luxurious self contained oak frame cabin offers the perfect peaceful setting for a relaxing getaway. Listen out and you may hear the owls at night. Backing onto the National Trust Ashridge Forest, this is perfect for outdoor lovers but equally suitable for a romantic night in. 1.5 miles down the road, the popular market town of Berkhamsted is offering atmospheric pubs and bars for a special treat out. The cabin offers comfortable, spacious living with King size bed.
Although the cabin is within the grounds of the main property, it is completely separated off by thick hedge rows to offer complete privacy to our guests. A path alongside the house leads the guests to their own entrance of the cabin. This cabin features all you need for a comfortable stay- a small bathroom with shower facility, a spacious open plan living room, an open plan kitchen with a hob and convection microwave oven grill and a comfortable King Size bed on the Mezzanine level, accessed by a ladder. It is furnished with cosy lighting, two comfortable sofas and a dining table. The cabin features a TV as well as a large DVD selection and Hi-Fi system. Kitchen: We also provide utensils so that our guests can choose to stay in and prepare their own meal if they wish. The back gate allows you to walk straight into the woods to explore 5000 acres of deer filled forest and its other wildlife. A 20 minute walk away you may wish to refresh yourself in the upmarket and cosy pub, the Alford Arms, in the idyllic Frithsden Valley where they even have their own vineyard. The cabin is only 1.5 miles away from the popular and trendy town centre of Berkhamsted, featuring a range of lively pubs and restaurants.
Our cosy little wood cabin is backing straight onto the woods, located in a quiet setting of the sleepy village Potten End, just minutes away from popular old market town Berkhamsted. You can literally walk out of the back gate into the woods and explore the nature. Here are a few tips and activities in the area: Ashridge Estate - a 5,000 acre area of the Chiltern Hills with beech and oak woodlands, commons and chalk downlands. These very different landscapes each support a rich variety of wildlife, including carpets of bluebells in spring, rare butterflies in summer and the fallow deer that rut in autumn. You can walk out of the back gate of the property into the woods and explore Miles of footpaths and bridleways. Frithsden Vineyard – Literally a 30 minute walk through the woods, and you will get to this beautiful boutique English vineyard and winery set in the foothills of the Chilterns. Besides a range of regular seasonal events you can also pass by and enjoy some of their home produced wines. Berkhamsted Town centre and Castle – have a stroll through Berkhamsted highstreet and explore Berkhamsted Castle's remains. The town has a special place in our history: following the Saxon defeat at the Battle of Hastings, it was at Berkhamsted that the bishops and noblemen formally offered William the Conqueror the crown. The Rex – "possibly Britain's most beautiful cinema" (BBC), the Rex has one huge screen set in a glorious 1938 art-deco proscenium arch, with "the sharpest film projection and clearest non-booming sound anywhere in the world". The whole experience is delightfully civilized: sink into large, comfortable seats then sit back with cheese and wine to enjoy the film. Berkhamsted Waterways Walk – Go for a walk along the River Bulbourne andGrand Union Canal which run through the town and enjoy a cold drink in the popular Boat pub. Tring Natural History Museum – 5 miles from Berkhamsted. The wonderful galleries of this beautiful Victorian museum present a fascinating range of animals, from tiny dressed fleas to a smiling polar bear and domestic dogs. The Snow Centre – 5 miles from Berkhamsted. Britain's newest snow centre at Hemel Hempstead is currently the coolest place to go to enjoy skiing, snowboarding and other snow sports on indoor slopes of real snow. The main slope is 160m long and 30m wide, serviced by two POMA button lifts. The trainer slope is 100m long, with two rope tows. There are lessons for everyone new to snow, and clothing and equipment is on hand to hire. Whipsnade Zoo – 9 miles from Berkhamsted. Set on the slopes of the Chiltern Hills, the UK's biggest zoo is home to more than 2,500 animals, many of which are endangered in the wild. Whipsnade is noted for creating interactive and inspiring exhibits and popular daily events including keeper talks, animal feeds and demonstrations. You can drive through the 'Passage through Asia' or take the free Safari bus which stops at all the main exhibits in the 600 acre site. Harry Potter, Warner Bros. Studio Tour – the Making of Harry Potter – 9.7 miles from Berkhamsted. A visit to the Harry Potter World offers you an insight behind the scenes to showcase a huge array of beautiful sets, costumes and props and to reveal the secrets of the special effects and animatronics that made these films hugely popular all over the world.

  • Lilli’s oak cabin is beautiful. Privately situated next to a pretty woodland, it is warm, cosy peaceful and has a special quality of being both rustic and elegant. It has everything you’d need to feel at home, as well as some lovely additonal touches. The surrounding countryside, quaint old towns and villages are stunning. Perfect for a romantic getaway.

    This is the master bedroom of a modern, well-decorated semi-detached house is in Austin Road, in a relatively quiet area about 2½ miles north of the town centre of Luton in Bedfordshire, England. Situated about 4½ miles north of London Luton Airport. It is also located 3.8 miles from M1 Junction 11.
    This double bedroom is fully furnished with clean beddings. The bay window faces the front garden and the street in front of the house. The room has its own lock and keys for security. It can also be locked from inside for privacy (with 2 pairs of small hook and eye). There is also a radiator of the gas Central Heating System, which can be controlled individually. At any point in time up to 2 persons can live in this room.
    It is a relatively quiet and friendly neighbourhood with shops nearby. By car you can quickly access the Town Center via New Bedford Road (A6). If you are Asian or enjoy Asian food, we are not far from Bury Park area of Luton, where you will find quite good and cheap curry houses and cash and carry shops with fresh Asian food stuff.

Elegant self-contained garden room accommodation ideal for short breaks, business trips or a romantic weekend in a peaceful location
    The property is a detached annexe with rural views private bbq/patio and exclusive use of secluded riverside seating area. There is access to stunning hot tub, for a nominal additional charge of £10.00 per session, with views along the river. (Please note: The hot tub is also used by Sally, and her guests and friends, please liaise with regard to booking times to use this facility.) It is located in her garden, albeit in a private setting, within the substantial grounds. The annexe has a fully fitted kitchenette with dishwasher. Continental breakfast is provided for the first morning of your stay. There is also a well-stocked pantry which includes, tea, coffee, cereals etc. The property is dog friendly, for cat friendly dogs, with prior arrangement. (Please note: any damage to soft furnishings, or the like, will require compensation.) Loft bedroom with 'Hypnos' kingsize bed and single bed, if required. Sitting room with comfortable double sofa-bed and large armchair plus dining table. Please note the accommodation is 'cosy' for 4 people. Excellent country walks on the doorstep. Great local pubs and restaurants nearby.
    Sally's property is in a countryside location close to the village of Ayot St. Lawrence. Ayot St Lawrence is one of a group of villages which make up 'The Ayots'. It is the location of the National Trust run Shaw's Corner, home of George Bernard Shaw, which is open to the public, and where his plays are held in the gardens. There is also an annual Art Show held in the neo-classical Greek style church grounds. There is excellent walking in the area with local footpaths, including the Hertfordshire Way, situated adjacent to the annexe so guests can walk directly from the property onto open countryside and woodlands. Close by is the famous Brocket Hall which has two award winning golf courses. Guests can apply for day memberships in advance, and the award winning Auberge du Lac, located at the Hall, is open for lunch and dinner. For the wizards among you the Warner Bros Harry Potter Studio Tour is a short drive away and has won best UK attraction for the last 2 years. The gothic Knebworth House and jacobean Hatfield House are both are worth a visit and within a 20 minute drive away. Hatfield also has a super, well run cafe and petting zoo. For those interested in the Roman history, nearby are the Welwyn Roman Baths and farther a field in St Albans are the much grander Roman Theatre, Verulamium Museum and Park. The magnificent St Albans Cathedral is worth a visit and the town also hosts a popular street market every Wednesday and Saturday. Further afield is the wonderful Henry Moore Foundation in the village of Perry Green with a number of his famous sculptures placed in the large gardens. There is a lovely onsite cafe selling drinks, cakes and light lunches. Every year the Foundation couples with other artists and displays a variety of works associated with Henry Moore. Previous years have included works by Rodin and Damien Hurst. Welwyn Garden City, Hertford and Cambridge are also all within exploring distance of the Annexe.

  • Ruth (and her daughter Calia) are both lovely. I ended up being a day early by accident and Ruth was very accomidating. The location was perfect (especially for the price), just a 10 minute walk down to Leagrave train station, with parks, shopping and places to eat right around the corner. Like it says in the description, it is a tiny room. I'm 64 inches and I was fine, but anyone taller than me might not be. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here!

  • Amazing little space in a safe, but easily accessible location with great parking. The apartment building is a 5 minute walk from a big Sainsbury’s supermarket and 2 minute walk to a petrol station and St. Albans Abbey train station. St. Albans city centre is only a 10 minute walk up the road which is also very handy- perfect spot of you're wanting to see the area/cathedral or travel anywhere in and around London! The hosts were great and provided easily navigated instructions for check in, key collection etc., and were on hand if any additional info was needed. The apartment its-self was lovely and modern - just like the pictures displayed on the site. It was sparkling clean when we arrived and provided just the perfect amount of space for two people. The kitchen, equipped with induction hob, oven, fridge/freezer, kettle and dishwasher was of a very high standard (in keeping with the rest of the apartment), it was also nice that a washing machine, iron and ironing board were available if needed. The only thing missing was a few finishing touches such as toilet roll, surface spray and dish sponges, dishwasher tablets and a few other bits and bobs which would have been useful and seemed a waste to have to buy full bottles of new products for just a few nights stay! A TV would make a good additional touch too. Although, these are not essentials and did not negatively impact on our stay in any way - merely just something to bare in mind! Hosts were easy to contact and very helpful so can’t be faulted, nor can the space as a whole. Definitely good value for money and will be back again soon for sure! Thank You Sam & Marta!

  • I stayed at this apartment for a month - and it was perfect for this. The location is great - there is a Sainsbury's across the street for groceries and the Matalan across from that has Amazon post boxes for pick-up. It is a short walk up the hill into town (10 to 15 minutes), which has everything ... I enjoyed the market on Wednesdays and Saturdays which is good for various street-food and bakery items ... The apartment building is modern and clean - and so is the apartment itself. It is probably the best layout and design of a studio apartment I have ever seen. I lacked nothing and would definitely stay here in the future.

  • I've been here for a month! The accommodation is on the 2nd floor and the shared bathroom is on the 2nd floor. There is also a cute dog Odyss. Raymonda and Paulis are great people. Their family, Outsandra, was there too! And the next room was so good !! There is a bus stop right in front of the house. It's so warm and delicate.   • Excellent choice for a friendly, clean and affordable accommodation. They provide towels and there is a selection of tea / coffee you can take from the kitchen. The room is clean and tidy with nice bedding. Be it on the small side it is absolutely fine as a single for sleeping and an hour on Netflix. The bathroom has a good working shower over bath (no power shower thank goodness). Special thanks to Raimonda who waited up for me until 23:30 for check-in. Very chatty as well which I liked. They of course leave you in peace and quiet when you are in your own room.

Apartment overlooks a park across the road and is just a mile from Enfield town centre and shops. Enfield itself is a historic market town (with a cobbled market square through royal charter) with stately homes and gardens and plenty of green spaces.
    A warm, comfortable room with a firm queen size bed and storage for short term travel items. The bedroom window looks out onto allotment gardens and the woodland park beyond. This is the highest spot for miles around.
    Enfield is an historic market town, complete with its cobbled market place. It's considered London's greenest borough, with plenty of green spaces. It's a diverse, lively suburb. My apartment is in the North West of the borough, the “smarter“ end, but in an estate of four apartment blocks with social housing. A quiet, peaceful, diverse family neighbourhood.

    A practical, shabby chic decor. The room is newly decorated to a high spec, including a new bathroom, shower, double bed, 36" TV with freeview, ironing and desk, we provide a fridge, plates and cutlery, a heater/air cooler, extra blankets and pillows. We provide a light breakfast which is fruit and a pastry, we come in DAILY to clean + replenish amenities. The room comes with an en-suite, and has its own separate front entrance and is (Attached) but locked off from the rest of the house.
    The space is unique due to its new decor and position within the country. We are a 20 min train journey to the heart of London. The house is located next to lush fields perfect for walkers all year round, we are located at the end of a dead end road so you will hear no traffic or late night noise, which is also added safety for cars parking out the front. The Harry Potter studios are located an 8 minute drive from the house, along with Watford town centre a 16 minute drive and the Village high street a 2 minute drive away.
    We live in a cul-de-sac with no through traffic and a quiet road, furthermore we are also located next to loads of walking fields with great paths to walk. So please feel free to park anywhere, including the bays and disabled bay as it's only an advisory bay.

    It's a lovely area if you like scenery you can get public transport to Epping forest or walk to the local parks. If you like the hustle and bustle then I'm near the famous Walthamstow market that is 20 mins by bus where you get a tube for a 25 to 30 mins on a tube to central London There are plenty of shops for food. I am always able to ask any questions
    It's a lovely area. Multi cultural and buzzing but also there are parks within walking distance and Epping forest is a bus ride away. I live a 20 minute bus ride from the famous Walthamstow market where in recent years it has become vibrant with resturant and a cinema. Equally there are lovely resturant and bars near chingford station which is 10 minutes up the road from my home by bus. For those who have never visited London it is a great place to stay as you can reach central London by tube and see all the tourist destinations. Alternatively you can take in the real east end culture (pie and mash) in e17.

My contemporary loft is the perfect country retreat from the Capital, being as little as an hour’s drive and even less by the fast intercity trains from King’s Cross to Stevenage, 12 miles away. The village of Braughing is walking distance, less than a mile away, where there are a pub and lovely access to the Hertfordshire bridleway. The nearby village of Watton-at-Stone (8 miles) has a gem of a country coaching inn, The Bull, which dates back to the 15th century and serves a delicious mix of gastro British classics and tapas-style deli dishes. Also 1,3 miles away, Pearce’s Farm Shop sells a tantalizing array of goodies including locally sourced meats and fresh fish delivered daily, fruit and veg, pies and pastries, cheeses, chutneys and deli delectables. There’s also an excellent cafe as well as PYO strawberries and raspberries when they’re in season.     Woodland and parks nearby. There is a private entrance to a small forest across from the house. Neighbours are friendly and helpful, only a 10min to a award wining organic breakfast/lunch cafe. They do the best coffees and eggs benedict.

    We are located on the edge of London with a fast, direct train straight into London Euston - Northern, Victoria, Hammersmith and City, Circle and District lines. More convenient than staying in London itself where prices are higher and journey times to the centre can be much longer. Fast trains depart every half hour with a five minute walk to the station - Oyster cards available at the station and train timetables supplied. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, a giant Tesco Extra and large shopping centre. The Intu Shopping Centre is a ten minute drive/ fifteen minute walk, with the traditional mix of large department stores including John Lewis, M&S, Zara, BHS, River Island and Primark to name but a few. Within 10 minutes of Warner Harry Potter Studios. Bushey is a lovely village in Watford with trains into London, more convenient and nicer than staying near Watford Junction. Hélène is a conscientious person, you can go there with your eyes closed. It is a gated and secure residential development. Only a few check-in glitches as hosts don’t live here but they were super prompt in resolving all issues. The flat is exactly as it looks in the pictures, very comfortable, modern and super clean. Uber easily bootable to St Albans City rail station (costs approx £6-10 per trip); that’s where you get super frequent Thameslink trains directly to london St Pancras international (fastest train takes 21 mins; slowest is 35-41; one-way ticket is £12.90 for travel any time of day in any train so flexible). Would definitely recommend this home and hosts if you want to be close to London but not in the hustle and bustle or if you want a bit of peace and quiet now and again during your London stay! It was clean and well heated, and the elevator and ... overall good. St Albans Abbey station is right in front of you, but St Albans City station is not enough to walk, so you have to take a bus. hehe.. Sainsbury's huge big mart is right in front of it, so it's easy to go shopping, and it's a quiet and clean residential complex that's great for people staying in the UK for a long time. He was looking for a musculus shooter, but he didn't have a shooter shooter. I've been trying to open the door. I'm doing well ㅎㅎ

    This riverside property is a detached single storey cottage with its own private entrance and exclusive back garden. There are two reception rooms and it includes a large kitchen that leads into a conservatory dining area opening onto an evening lit patio and garden with exclusive use log burning hot tub deck. There is also a sun deck towards the end of the garden for outdoor summer dining and sitting. The lounge has an open fireplace for winter evenings with a single sofa bed. The kitchen is stocked with cooking and breakfast staples and more. A large variety of hot drinks and juices also provided. Smoking is only allowed in the garden and patio areas not in the cottage itself. Extreme log consumption may be charged extra.

It is in a great location in Herts with lots of county walks and places to visit nearby. Codicote village center is just up the road and there are small supermarkets there as well as places to get take out and nearby Welwyn has some great Italian restaurants and gastro pubs. We visited in winter when it was rainy, so didn't get to make use of the hot tub or wonderful garden. Would love to do so on a future visit.

    I have a new build two bedroom flat in Stevenage, five minutes walk from the train station. There is parking available around the building and for longer stays I can arrange for your own designated parking space. I'm happy to share all amenities and want my guests to feel at home. The room is a single which I set up for when my Mum visits. There is plenty of storage with five empty drawers and I have set up a TV in the room if you would prefer to chill out on your own.

    Welcome to our boutique Garden Annexe room, set in the heart of beautiful Epping Forest in a small tranquil village named Theydon Bois. We are located just outside London with easy access using the London Underground Central Line. There are plenty of great tourist venues to visit, business centres, shopping at Westfield Stratford City, sporting or music events at the O2 stadium. Also, we are conveniently a short walk to the station, local amenities, pubs and restaurants.
    The Annexe is furnished to a high standard and offers a spacious, loft style accommodation with en suite. It is self-contained and has it's own private entrance with keypad for self check-in. The space is well equipped and provides a Nespresso machine for that morning coffee!, microwave, small refrigerator, kettle, china, glassware and cutlery. Good quality bed linen and towels are used. We also provide a desk and chair for work use. Complimentary Welcome Pack: Selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits (may contain traces of nuts), milk and bottled mineral water.
    On the doorstep is ancient Epping Forest - great for walking, mountain biking and horse riding etc. Theydon Bois even has its very own deer sanctuary! which is home to approx. 140 black fallow deer. For golf enthusiasts Theydon Bois golf course is just down the road. Theydon also has a local tennis and cricket club. Also, nearby is East 15 Acting School.

Bed was really comfortable only negative if I was to be really picky was the blinds not blocking out the sunlight in the morning. 10/10 thanks.

  • The Annex was very warm and welcoming on arrival with tea, coffee water and biscuits available for guests. You are fully independent with key code access at the entrance and a key safe for the Annex door. Location and outlook over the large rear garden was very pleasant and the place was spotless, warm and very cosy even the night a gale was blowing outside. Local pubs and Resturant’s within walking distance were exceptionally good with great atmosphere and very good food. Best of all was the easy access to London by Tube within about 10 minutes walk of the Annex and with late night return trains. We were in Leicester Square in under an hour and had a meal and saw a show before returning making this a great location if a central London visit is part of your plans. Sarah was a very helpful host although you are fully self contained and may not even see Sarah during a stay. We would highly recommend The Annex to any of our friends and have no hesitation recommending it to anyone looking for a stay in this lovely location. Sue and Trevor Clark

Its a great place for a work trip , a relaxing getaway , a visit to London or the Warner Brothers Studios for which the place has been decorated with artworks from the books to give you a immersive experience along side your tour. It offers one double bedroom with a king size bed , a living room/dining room , a kitchen , bathroom with bathtub. We can prepare 2 more beds in the Living Room if needed. Breakfast is self service and we will provide pastries & loaf of bread as well as cereal , porridge , butter , jams , milk ( plant based and dairy ) coffee and tea. There is a Smart TV , which allows you to play Netflix or other streaming platforms , or casting from your own device. You can use the kitchen , equipped with a microwave , kettle , toaster , stove , fridge/freezer. Pots plates and cutlery are available. We provide you our favourite local take away fliers for home deliveries.     We are 5 minutes drive from the Warner Brother Studio Tour or the WB Leavesden Studios which is a Fabulous day out ! We are 5 minutes drive from Watford Junction and you can reach central London in 18 Minutes from there. We are 10 minutes from Watford Town Center INTU where you can do lots of shopping , bowling and IMAX Cinema. We are also 5 minutes drive from a Hollywood Bowl and Vue Cinema and restaurants. We have a lovely park in Cassiobury , also within 10 minutes drive. Our house is easy to access when you get off the M1 or M25 We have large shopping center near our home ( Little Waitrose , Sainsbury , Asda ) and have a Pizza Hut very near.

    Stunning summer house, open all year round with beautiful views across the Lea Valley. Very peaceful only 5 mins from Broxbourne Station and Harlow Station with links to London and Stansted Airport, easy access to M11 & M25. 20 mins Drive to Stansted Airport, 5 mins from local shops, The Fish & Eels pub and Riverside Palace Cafe are 5 mins drive at Dobbs Weir along the river, both highly recommended. Come and enjoy some relaxation and beautiful views.
    Great views across the Lee Valley. You can relax in the hot tub with a glass of wine while watching the sun set. Or Jump in the warm hot tub and relax in the colder months.
    Summer House is situated in the Lea Valley with great walking and cycling routes. There are canoeing and sailing facilities 2 mins drive from the property. There is also Paradise Wildlife Park which is only 10 mins away. There are lovely local pubs along the River Lea which are only 5 mins drive away. Also there are some lovely local restaurants within local proximity. Train station is only 5 mins drive with great routes into London.

    Nearly a century old, children call it “The Witches House” and we haven't changed it's magic. A mezzanine provides the main bedroom, a little window overlooks the lawns. Downstairs is a log burning stove, a sofa/double bed, and all facilities needed. French doors open to a patio over the river and woodland views. Kingfishers zip past from time to time. Across the lawns is the lake and its wildlife. A serene, secluded and special place. 40 minutes from London and you're in another world.
    Very comfortable king-size bed in the mezzanine (ladder access), and the sofa converts to a king-size bed too. Bed linen and towels are provided. Mains water and electricity, electric hob, fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave oven, kettle, toaster and all kitchen utensils in place. First basket of firewood included. Loo and shower room is en-suite. Up to two extra adults or children are permitted to stay overnight in their own tent nearby for the supplementary charge of £15 per person per night.
    Radwell is a little oasis of countryside close to Baldock, Letchworth and Stotfold with easy access to the A1(M). We've lived here all our lives, we think it's a special place and try to keep it nice.

  • Tash and her family are a lovely bunch, they are all wonderful people and I had great time staying in their house during my time in London. The room is totally big enough for one to stay in, and the kitchen and bathrooms are always clean and tidy. It is also a very peaceful neighbourhood with the nearest bus stop just about 5 minutes walk away, and there are supermarkets and GP in walking distance, very convenient. Also, the dogs are very cute!!! I really gonna miss London and Tash’s.

    Crestyl Cottage is located on our watercress Farm. Our family have worked the land alongside the River Chess, Sarratt where we have cultivated watercress for 130 years. Crestyl is now the only working watercress farm on the Chess, one of originally 19 beds between Sarratt and Chesham, and the sole survivor in the whole of the Chilterns.
  • Sarah and Jon’s place is a little piece of heaven. It’s situated in the middle of beautiful countryside with a little river running outside the cottage. The cottage itself is spotlessly clean and very stylish. The bed is enormous and very comfortable. The hot tub is log fired and the water is fresh for each guest and free of chemicals. It really was blissful sitting in it in the evening. We arrived to a lovely bottle of wine and yummy biscuits. Such thoughtful touches. Jon met us when we arrived and was very helpful and kind, he even offered us a lift to ‘cricketers’, a local pub/restaurant which we ate at in the afternoon. It was such a wonderful stay, I can’t wait to go back!
