  • This is a very beautiful cozy home. It will exceed your expectations I can promise you this. It would be a very comfortable stay for a single person or even better stay for a couple. I highly recommend booking this room.

  • Nelda was a wonderful host. Easy to communicate with and very accommodating. She even offered to assist us with some logistics as we began a kayaking trip. The accommodation was perfect. Very clean and comfortable.

    Jacqui2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at this BNB in Juneau! It was so much better than the pictures! Super clean, modern, and so many thoughtful touches like local coffee, a water cooler for water bottle refills, local jam and crackers (delicious!), wine glasses, extension cords for bedside charging, tons of brochures and books with local information and even robes, if you’re into that. The towels were super soft. The bed was very comfortable. There’s WiFi and cable tv. Even though the loft is above their garage, it was still a very quiet and private experience. The owner is the nicest person and we loved talking to her. It also has a great view of Auke Bay. Hotels are expensive in Juneau and for less money, we got 10x better experience. Highly recommend! As a note, you do need a car to stay here since public transportation doesn’t go out there, and a taxi cost $18 each way to the airport area.

    Elisabeth2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • My other reservation cancelled at the last minute so Tom and Nelda quickly confirmed my reservation. The apartment was very comfortable and had great amenities. Even better, when I was about to head into town, Tom offered to drive me. I would definitely stay here again.

    Sam2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem! We absolutely would recommend this to anyone staying in Juneau. The location is great, and very convenient to all things out the road and in the valley. The space itself is huge! The bathroom is well appointed. Bed is very comfortable and sheets are very high quality. Plenty of easy parking, and Uber’s were able to find the location very easy as well. Lots of comfortable places to sit, and the fans move the air around lively. If you’re looking for a quiet, picturesque, large, well appointed rental in Juneau, this is the one!

    Scott2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great time at this beautiful place. Tom and Nelda are so helpfull and the Room has a beautiful view to the ocean:-)

    Denise2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Nelda and Tom's place is beautiful and the perfect home away from home. I felt very welcome and everything I needed was provided. Everything was wonderful, especially the bath towels! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice retreat or a comfortable place while traveling.

The Blue Bucket B&B is nestled amidst towering spruce, pine & cottonwood. It looks out over a meadow that is frequented by black bears, moose & eagles. Though secluded in trees, surrounded by nature and a skip away from the Salmon river, you are still close to the beach, pier, local stores, library and local trails. You can bike or walk easily to any of these locations. Our home is very charming, warm, and cozy. We offer free transportation to and from the airport and the ferry.
The house comes furnished with a shared living room space, a kitchen, and washer and dryer. There is a piano for our musical aficionados as well as a guitar. There is a wood burning stove and place for outdoor evening fires. Wood is available for your use. There are also bikes for your use.
The neighborhood is quiet but can get busy especially during the 4th of July festivities. We are close to the Salmon River Park, the fire station, and basically everything else since the town is two roads. You'll enjoy the locals. They're great.
  • Robyn’s hospitality was extraordinary. We felt comfortable and cared for. Lovely place - Lovely host - Lovely experience! We are very grateful for the rides from and to the ferry!

    Isabel2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Robynn and her family were super sweet. Right on time to pick me up from the ferry, they also drove me to the resort the next day and offered me any other ride I needed. They were very available and let me use the kitchen, offered their food and called the local shop to make sure I could buy my beloved smoked salmon. The bike provided were a life saver and they suggested great trails and tips on Gustavus (be aware, this isn't a small city, it is literally an aggregation of few houses but well worthy for Glacier bay). Make sure to go by the dock around 5pm when the fishermen comes back to watch the sea lions feeding on fish scraps (and while there, give a hand to the fishermen tying the boats!). I deeply enjoyed chatting with Robynn's dad and her granddaughters were very nice too! I would surely recommend it and come back :)

    Valeria2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, my only regret is that we didn't spend more time in Gustavus so we could more thoroughly enjoy staying at Robynn's place. It was really an outstanding experience. She gave us great tips on where to eat and what to do and see. The beds were super comfortable, the bathroom was clean and had plenty of towels for our group. We made tea and enjoyed cookies Robynn baked in the kitchen. Overall an amazing experience!

    Stephanie2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • I would give 6 stars if I could! We're so glad to have picked Robynn's home for our visit to Gustavus/Glacier Bay National Park, and we'd definitely stay here again if we return to the area. The home itself is beautiful, spacious and very clean; you can tell that Robynn and her family really care for it. It's situated just off one of the main roads in town and there are several bicycles that Robynn encouraged us to take to explore the area. We took them down to the beach the evening we arrived, and also took them to the cafe down the street for delicious crepes + coffee in the morning. There's also a plane wreckage within biking distance that we wanted to explore but, unfortunately, we ran out of time. But what truly stood out was the hospitality! Robynn picked us up from the airport, showed us around the town, and even had freshly baked chocolate chip cookies waiting for us after our first evening's bike ride! She also dropped us off at our tour the next morning, which was leaving at 7 AM from the Glacier Bay Lodge, and she gave us suggestions for things around the lodge that we could do after the tour. Robynn really went above and beyond to make us feel like home!

    Andrei2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • The home on its own deserves 5 stars, but with Robynn as your host, there’s just not enough stars to give! Gustavus is a beautiful little town, and Robynn made it feel like home. Right from picking us up at the airport, to giving us a tour of the town, to welcoming us home with freshly baked cookies - Robynn and her family are the perfect hosts. Trust me, this is a one-of-a-kind experience, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Visit glaciermeadowhouse | .com for the best experience in touring my Airbnb. The newly renovated two story house has three bedrooms. The upstairs bedrooms have full size beds. A smaller bedroom on the ground floor has one twin bed. There is a large futon couch in the living room that can sleep two people. Furnishings include new mattresses and bedding. There is a full kitchen. The three acre meadow is partially mowed into a lawn. Wild strawberries abound in season.
It is incredibly cost effective, nearly brand new everything, well furnished, well lit, designed for larger groups of people, and a knowledgable onsite property owner for easy question answering!
When I first walked about this property, I was mesmerized by the peacefulness and tranquility that enveloped my soul. And then, astoundingly, I saw a mother moose and her calf walk out from the forest surrounding the meadow. I knew then, in my heart I had found my home. Now I want to share this amazing place Gustavus, Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve with other discerning travelers.
  • The limitations of Bruce's house are the limitations of being Gustavus - no wifi and no cell service unless you drive to the library about 4 miles away. That's Gustavus and part of the charm of this part of Alaska. Bruce's house is also part of the charm - it's very open and light but warm and cozy with the wood stove (when needed). The full kitchen has everything we needed to cook several meals including one of fresh halibut. The beds are as advertised - new and very comfortable with a nice variety of linens including flannel sheets. Bruce is around and about but not intrusive. I do need to emphasize what I said initially - you are off the grid in Gustavus so any communication with Bruce will not be immediate as he has to drive to that library too!

    Pam2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Bruce's place was perfect. Great little cabin away from any cell service or wifi (if you like that kind of thing). Plenty of books around and a cribbage board we used quite a bit. Bruce was an amazing host and drove us all over Gustavus when we needed to get picked up from the ferry, get over to the lodge for our glacier bay tour, and even when we left to go to the airport! By far one of the best hosts I've ever had. 5 stars across the board!

    Adam2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Bruce's place was awesome! The house was perfectly clean and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a raspberry patch in the back for some local treats. The best part of the stay, though, was Bruce's hospitality; a super nice guy, he really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time in Gustavus, from meeting us at the airport and picking up some food for our first day in town, to making fires for us every day in the house's wood stove and shuttling us around town. We couldn't have asked for a better experience - highly recommend! :)

    Ben2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Glacier Meadow House was a great place to stay for me and my family. The three bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, and living room were clean and comfortable. It was nice to be in such a quiet, peaceful place- away from our usual busy paces. Our children had a great time running around in the huge back yard, picking berries, and swinging in the hammock. Bruce was a great host, willing to go the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect. Thank you, Bruce, for making our weekend in Gustavus and Glacier Bay the best!

    Pamela2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • What a great fine! Bruce's place suited our family's needs perfectly. It was spacious, convenient, and CLEAN! We wanted to find a place that was situated close to the lodge where we went on a boat tour as well as close to "town". Bruce met us at the airport and took us to the local grocery store to buy some food for the evening and we were able to prepare our own meals in the kitchen which we enjoyed. We were able to relax and enjoy our evening as Bruce helped us with transportation details and offered a lot of local info. This night was our favorite on our Alaska trip, Bruce offered a great space with a personal touch. Thanks Bruce!

This space is about basic functionality - not sparkly clean hospitality. Imagine "one step above camping" due to rustic amenities and no running water in the cabin itself. Nextdoor are two shared toilets with only cold water in the sink, one hot shower, washer/ dryer, and utility sink with hot water. The cabin is just one room with a queen bed, one couch that pulls into a full bed, two twins, and basic kitchen amenities (microwave, fridge, hot plate, coffee maker.)
Located on an old golf course with wild strawberries right outside (in season), and a spectacular view of the Fairweather Mountain Range on a clear day. Private (with other shared cabin), woodsy location but still near center of town. No wifi at the cabin, but it is available at multiple locations in mid-town about a mile away. Additionally, you'll have limited cell service at the cabins.
Travis' grandparents homesteaded the land these cabins are on and our children are sixth generation Gustavus residents. We are avid travelers, but love the sense of community here and can't imagine calling anywhere else our home.
  • Wonderful simple place, friendly host, convenient location. Could not have asked for more.

    Erica2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Nice quiet place, very conveniently located. We had a great time in Gustavus!

    Stephen2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We rented both cabins and my full (glowing!) review is on the Budget Cabin #1 site. In summary, this is a fantastic deal and the hosts were absolutely wonderful.

    Emily2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our time at Travis and Erin's Cabin #2. The views from the cabins are truly wonderful. The fire pit at night was great. Erin provided 6 bikes for our family! The bikes ranged from classic cruisers to mountain bikes and even bikes for the kids. Hot water showers and laundry on site was very helpful. If you are looking for a stunning view and comfortable rustic digs this is the place. We would (and will) stay here again!

    Nicholas2019-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great little cabin. Everything was clean and nicely set up. There was lots of sleeping space in cabin along with a fridge and a grill out front.

    Stephanie2019-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Travis & Erin’s cabin! The views were beautiful, everything was cozy & comfy, Erin & Travis were very helpful & gave us rides when it worked out & we had bikes to use to get around while we were there which was a great bonus. Highly recommend as a very budget-friendly comfortable place to stay in a beautiful location.

    Moira2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • These cabins have an ideal location when arriving by ferry - just a 10 minute walk from the dock! The cabins had everything I needed for my 2-night stay to visit Glacier Bay... comfortable bed (with a view of the Fairweather Range from bed!), warm shower, bike to ride around the small town, coffee/coffee maker and other dishes, etc., and helpful hosts who were able to answer all my questions. The cabins (and Gustavus as a whole) are so tranquil and relaxing! Everything is within a short walk or bike ride. Props to Travis for helping out with beer after the local liquor store had closed. Highly recommend and hope to stay again sometime.

    Owen2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very pleasant stay at a cabin with easy access to showers and plumbing, just a short walk from town. I recommend the stay if visiting Gustavus or Glacier Bay.

2019 remodel of two structures from the Fairweather Golf Course which operated on this property from 1995 until 2016. Brand new interior - from appliances to paint. Private cabin with large covered entryway, parking, and a great view of the Fairweather Mountains. Main room has one queen bed, full kitchen, & a small table.  A cot is available, but it takes up all floor space when used. A full bathroom includes a washer and dryer. Lastly, we offer bicycles for use during your stay.
Wild strawberries and historic golf course equipment in the fields right outside.
Safe and friendly. Be sure to wave to people around town!
  • Great space and excellent view of the sunset!

    Bobby2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • We have loved our stay in this beautiful and well-equipped cabin. The sunsets and sunrises have been stunning. The moonrise equally beautiful. The weather and the landscape amazing and the silence awe-inspiring. Awesome. Wow! Thank You!

    David2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Fairweather cabin is darling. Built in a clearing where there had been a golf course. Spectacular meadow and mountain views! It has a full kitchen, bathroom , and washer/dryer. Bikes were under our covered front porch for us to use and we enjoyed riding them down to the beach at sunset several evenings. Cabin was clean and our stay was so peaceful.

    Cheryl2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent experience, one of those that you kinda' don't want to brag about because you're afraid this place will be booked the next time you want to go to Gustavus! Close proximity to "Four Corners" and the ferry dock, bikes available to move around the island, and a warm, clean place to come back to after a day out in Glacier Bay. Highly recommended, if this location is available for your desired dates, then book it ASAP. Not a lot of great options on the island, but this one will work for any solo traveler or couple.

    Bart2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy little cabin just as expected from advertising. Bikes gave easy access to the Fireweed Cafe for great coffee and cafe. Enjoyable visit!

    Jenny2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place. Fantastic views, better than expected bed, bathroom and kitchen. They also had a couple of bikes that were perfect for getting around town.

  • Amazing place close to the beach!!

    Chesley2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Pretty isolated cabin but recently updated and quite nice. About an hour bike ride from glacier national park and in the town of Gustavus. The hosts provided bikes, which was a great for getting around as everything is quite spaced out and not really walking distance.

One bedroom apartment with spectacular views overlooking Auke Bay Harbor and Chilkat Mountain Range. Enjoy the views from the main living area, bedroom and 300+ sqft covered deck.
This apartment is southern facing in one of the sunniest spots in Juneau. Locals love Auke Bay as it gets significantly more sun and less rain than downtown.
  • The view is fantastic and so peaceful!!! Also, the bed is super comfortable!!!!

  • Such a great space and so peaceful. The space is cute, quaint, and has everything you could possibly need! They even had a cute mason jar of ground local Heritage coffee. The bed is amazingly comfortable, and the space overall is nice and quiet. Loved this spot.

    Kim2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable apartment with an incredible view to wake up to in the morning! Really appreciated the complimentary coffee. It's a bit of a drive to get to downtown Juneau, but we rented a car so that wasn't an issue. And the drive itself is quite scenic.

    Nicole2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn't be better. The location on the bay and proximity to everything was perfect. It was so clean and a way comfy bed was the cherry on top. The deck views and water access were beautiful. What a great place at a more than reasonable price. Everything you could need in a perfect location with exceptional hosts. You can't go wrong with this one!

4 Corners Glacier Bay Cottage in Gustavus caters to the independent traveler. This small two-story house is conveniently located at the 4-Corners in the center of Gustavus, yet is very private and rural. Outside your window you'll find a horse and a donkey in our pasture, plus spruce and willow trees. It is a very short walk to the health food store / deli, grocery store and a café / gallery as well as to a quiet river, ocean beach, and hiking trail. On the first floor of the cottage is a full kitchen/living room (stove and microwave; table and couch) plus a full bathroom, including a tub, plus a washer/dryer. The second story is a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. The sofa in the living room also converts into a double bed. There are games and books for your use. Available for your use are bicycles for biking the flat roads leading from beach to forest and to Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. There is also a local taxi available, and bus service to Glacier Bay National Park which is 10 miles away. Your long-time Gustavus hosts Kate (artist) and Fritz (boat builder) are happy to help you enjoy this special place, which includes a Public Library, several art studios, excellent fishing, beach walking, trails, and roads to travel. Wireless internet is available for an hourly fee at the cottage and for free at the local Library. There are weekly opportunities to join musical groups singing and playing instruments at the gallery and in the Library, as well as at times in people's homes. Instruments are available for loan. Just ask your host!
  • A gReAt place to stay!!! Park directly across from the cute retro gas station.

    Leslie2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Cabin is perfectly located, warm and private. Kate and Fritz are fantastic hosts. I’d highly recommend the Cabin to anyone visiting Gustavus.

    Katrina2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • An idyllic dream cabin perfect for a relaxing stay and exploring Glacier Bay! We found everything in the cabin was practical and catered to our needs, from the well equipped kitchen we were able to cook meals (we bought some fresh salmon from Peps Packing just a short bike ride away that was delicious cooked on the stove) and we loved relaxing on the porch after a long day hiking in the nearby national park. The location is perfect with the local cafe across the road and Toshco’s supermarket another short bike ride away- yes the prices are slightly high for groceries there but that’s to be expected in such a remote location! We also managed to keep costs down by buying local produce -fresh vegetables from the roadside veg store, look out for it on the road to Toshco. Kate was also amazing, great communication and helpful tips to ensure we made the most of our stay! We also loved the bikes provided for sunset rides to the beach and for exploring around town! We would highly recommend Kates place for couples and small family’s/groups wanting an authentic experience in Gustavus!

  • Kate is a very gracious host who made us feel most welcome. Her place is centrally located making it very convenient. The cabin is on the smallish side which suited us just fine. It had everything we needed to make a good home base while we explored Gustavus. We enjoyed having use of the bicycles very much. Our time in Gustavus was magical and we are looking forward to returning one day.

    Martin2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Kate is great

    Kristin2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Kate is delightfully exuberant and welcoming. She gave us lots of tips on what to do around Glacier Bay, including where moose and bears had been seen most recently around town. The cottage is adorable, and we loved being surrounded by flowers and hummingbirds. The donkeys and Kate's dog were fun neighbors, though the donkeys were a bit shy. We did wish there were screens on more of the windows. We ended up renting a car once Kate told us it was a possibility, and I think it would be hard to get around without one, at least without spending much of your time walking or biking to your destinations. The location was great, but everything is very spread out. There is a coffee shop and restaurant right across the street, but the national park, hiking trails, beaches, etc. are all a ways away. The restaurant scene in Gustavus is, unsurprisingly, not great. It was nice to have a kitchen, but I would highly recommend bringing groceries from Juneau if possible. We had planned to take the ferry but it was closed for a strike while we were there. The grocery store was low on supplies because of the ferry strike, but even when it isn't, it sells Costco-sized groceries, so you'll end up buying enough jam for a year. Glacier Bay is amazing, and Kate's cottage was a comfortable and welcoming home base.

    Rachel2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing find! For my money, Kate’s cottage is the best place to stay in Gustavus. Gustavus was the highlight of our Alaska trip and Kate’s cottage made it all the more enjoyable. Most other places near the park are all-inclusive, but if you want more flexibility Kate’s is the way to go. You have the entire cottage to yourself (Kate is just ~50ft away in her place). The place is set up almost like a studio apt: downstairs is a kitchen/living room with bathroom (good sized, good water pressure, washer/dryer for use). Upstairs is the bedroom. The ceilings are angled and a little low so you do have to watch your head. There’s one queen (?) bed, one cot, and one twin. Realistically, I’d say 2 adults max. For my wife and I, it was perfect. Kate was super flexible about check in/out times. She has tons of packets/guides/brochures for things in the area. That was especially helpful for the only cafe and restaurant in town, because their hours were often different from what Google said. There are also bikes that you can use to get around town a little bit but if you’re going to the park and want some freedom to hike around I would suggest renting a car from Bud. Cabs are really expensive and can be hard to get ahold of if you in the park.

    Michael2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • I planned a trip for my dad (who speaks very little English) to Gustavus and he loved Kate's place and all the help Kate provided, whether it was giving us info about the local things to do before arriving or help with transportation and local knowledge once he got there. Couldn't have asked for better service and place to stay!

This is a private studio located on a quiet peninsula close to hiking trails, the airport and the ferry terminal. The studio is actually the first floor of our house that my husband built. You have a wonderful view of the Mendenhall Wetlands. The unit has a kitchenette . A microwave, refrigerator, single burner cook top, and electric water heater are supplied. You can have access to freezer space if you need it. There is no bus service so transportation (car or bicycle) is required.
This is a private studio with a private entry and private bathroom. The unit has a kitchenette and dining nook. The studio is 10 minutes from the airport (by car) and has immediate access to hiking trails. Guests can enjoy the outdoors all day and come back to a great place to relax and a super comfy bed.
Mendenhall Peninsula Road is a dead end road with very little traffic. The houses are generally spaced apart on an acre apiece. The house is on a treed lot with a lot of bird life. Bears do frequent this area. Recently wolves have been sited in the wetlands.
  • Sherry is a wonderful host and person. The location is private with a beautiful view. Check in was easy and all directions were clear. The apartment is cozy and clean.

  • This was great place to stay! Sherry and Bob were wonderful hosts and checking in was a breeze. It was so clean and cozy and had everything we could need. We really enjoyed being outside of the busy downtown area. Very convenient location for the airport, Mendenhall Glacier, and kayaking areas. We would definitely stay here again.

  • This may have been one of my favorite airbnbs I've ever stayed in. The location was great - far enough removed to be quiet but too far away from downtown Juneau and tons of great hikes. Access to the hot tub was a great bonus! Sherry was an incredible host. Exceptionally communicative and very responsive. Would definitely recommend and stay again if I ever got the chance!

    Amy2019-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • A well-appointed, comfortable studio in a beautiful, quiet area a little north of Juneau away from the cruise crowd craziness. Sherry is a great host — prompt with replies and super helpful with info (but not intrusive), she left us some fresh yogurt/granola/milk for our first morning in addition to the makings for coffee/tea and also offered her laundry facility and supplies for us which was much appreciated after a few days of hiking. Juneau is a beautiful, fun town and we would gladly stay at the Mendenhall Wetlands Studio again.

Newly refurbished 2 bedroom, 1 bath, private apartment with spacious covered deck on the water in Auke Bay. Located on 2 acres, this gorgeous property offers spectacular views of Auke Bay and the Chilkat Mountains and is the perfect get-away for all seasons. Although our location offers a total escape from downtown Juneau and the cruise ship traffic, we are a quick, easy drive to stores and restaurants. Relax and enjoy the natural beauty-watch the eagles or enjoy a beach walk at low tide.
The entire apartment, located down a set of outside stairs to the lower floor of a 3 story house, is yours to enjoy. Parking on site. At this time the City of Juneau requires that I collect a 5% sales tax and 7% hotel tax at check-in. I prefer cash but will accept a check if that is more convenient.
This is an upscale property in one of the premier neighborhoods. Private grounds and nice landscaping and gardens.
  • This is a beautiful set up right on the water. The kitchen has a lot to offer and a nearby grocery store. Everything was very clean and cozy. Linda answered us really fast and was flexible with our check in/out times. Definitely would recommend and great value for the price.

    Lara2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Linda’s place was amazing!! Great view and close to everything. Super clean, great communication and the view was fantastic! The highlight of our stay was seeing a dolphin and her baby swim right outside of the apartment. Thank you for your hospitality! Highly recommended!

    Vincent John2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Oh, what a treat it was to be the first Airbnb guests in Linda’s fabulous apartment! Pretty much everything is new. It is classy, clean, and super comfortable! Linda is so helpful and a delight! We enjoyed walking in the neighborhood and also on nearby trails. The fall colors were lovely as were the views from the apartment and the deck. We were glad that we chose Auke Bay because it is so peaceful and private, and the location was convenient even for our short stay. We went to the Mendenhall Visitor Center multiple times because we wanted to take photos in different light, walk several of the trails, and enjoy the visitor center. It was a quick trip to the harbor for whale watching. We enjoyed cooking in the well-appointed kitchen, and we also enjoyed eating out in nearby restaurants. Downtown Juneau is an easy drive. Since we didn’t have much time in the Juneau area, we were on the go a lot, however we also really liked sitting on the deck and “communing with nature”—especially the eagles. We found the living room, complete with a luxurious recliner and electric fireplace, to be so inviting and cozy on the chilly fall mornings and evenings. We have been to Alaska multiple times, and Linda and her place are #1 in our book! Our hope is to return for a much longer stay and book Linda’s other on-site Airbnb for additional family members.

Unique, custom built home on Douglas Island where Skiing, fishing, hiking, kayaking and biking are plentiful. There is so much to do just out the door. The sunniest spot in Juneau.
This is a clean, custom home, built from yellow cedar from Southeast Alaska -- beautiful. There are two spacious bedrooms with queen size bed in each and an additional queen size futon in the other. Two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. Additionally, there are two outside showers, one upstairs (next to the hot tub) and one down that offer the back to nature experience. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. A new Samsung smart TV in the living room, connected to WiFi. Deck with BBQ, propane fireplace, hot tub and lawn chairs.
This is a very nice, friendly, waterfront neighborhood, in one of the dryer areas of Juneau
  • Great location for travelers looking for close access to trails and the beach with an at home feel.

    Jamie2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Roger's place was great and much nicer and brighter than the pictures show. It was comfortable and felt very private. We would definitely recommend staying here!

    Aileen2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • This house is in a nice quiet neighborhood out on Douglas. The porch is the perfect quiet place to enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine while being visited by the occasional Eagle. The hot tub is the perfect place to warm up after rainy hikes or hours of fishing. It's a great location to access some amazing hiking trails out on Douglas and the drive time into Juneau isn't too long. The house was comfortable and roomy for 4 adults and 2 kids, we had everything we needed from plenty of towels and linens to dishes and kitchen accessories for cooking. We come to Juneau 1-2 times a year and usually stay just up from down town with family. We enjoyed the change of pace and scenery staying out on Douglas instead.

    Jeannette2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Roger's place is on two levels, with a bed/bath downstairs along with the washer/dryer. Upstairs is a second bedroom with a large changing area, a large bathroom with two showers, a living area and kitchen with supplies, and outside the kitchen there is a deck with a hot tub. There is a beautiful meadow below to watch from the hot tub. There is internet in the house, a cold shower out by the hot tub. Very comfortable and quaint.

    Juli2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views and a nice quiet neighborhood. We really appreciated being closer to nature and nearby but separate from the downtown Juneau scene. This is a great home base for exploring the area. Coming back for a soak in the outdoor hot tub after a long day of hiking was delightful!

    Eric2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and location! Roger is extremely accommodating and even went and took pictures for me and my fiance after we got engaged close to the house. We will be back!

    Sarah2019-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is the place to stay in Juneau! The house was great, hot tub was the perfect addition. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, very calm place to stay, but also easy to get into town. Thanks so much!

    Nicholas2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this cabin! Has everything you need or want, plus more. Annie is super sweet and easy to work with. We watched bald eagles eating salmon from the porch in the morning and each night. Sparkling clean with extra special touches!!!

    Stephanie2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Words do not do justice to the accommodations and hospitality you will experience at the Cohen Cabin. Between the views, decor of the cabin, and hospitality you could not ask for more in an Air B and B. We picked this place as our first spot to stay and regret not booking it the entire trip. We will not make that mistake again and will hopefully in the future book the Cohen Cabin again. If you think you want to stay in two places while you are visiting. Rethink that! It is far enough out of downtown to really soak up the views and wildlife but close enough to downtown to enjoy dinner, explore, shop, and return to a cozy cabin with views of Bald Eagles, Salmon jumping, and seals playing. If you’re lucky you may even see a bear. We felt more at home at this Cabin than we have at any other Air B and B we have stayed at. We cannot wait to return next year!

  • From the moment we arrived we were home! A great space for a couple or small family. Simple, thoughtful amenities. Views were so great and an awesome place to view wildlife at all hours. We were able to use the kayak as well and got to enjoy the water as well. Everything was clean, working, and we really didn't run into a single issue. They helped us with every question we had as well, awesome communication. We can't wait to return!

  • Adam and Ash are super hosts that were always in touch and available. The house is in a fantastic location and has the best views! The house is split between 2 bedrooms in the walkout basement, one with a bathroom and shower en suite. There is a full bathroom with tub on the main floor near the large and open LR/DR/Kitchen. Upstairs in an attic-y/lofty space are the other 2 bedrooms. One is open and the other is a small room that just fits a bed. Noise carries throughout the house...but overall it's a good setup. Just don't expect a traditional 4-bedroom layout.

The bed was comfortable. It is located on a busy road but earplugs were provided for any noise. There is very easy walking access to multiple businesses. it was a good stay and Juneau is beautiful!!!

  • Great location if you like to walk or don't have a vehicle like us. Clean nice open space apartment with a great view of the bay to wake up to in a cozy bed. Check out Hot Bites for good fish and chips an easy walk down in the harbor and since the coffee shop below us was closed that day we discovered a nice cafe located just a pleasant 15 minute walk away on the University campus with an awesome view of Auke Lake. We even walked a half an hour to the Alaska ferry terminal to catch our ferry to Whittier. Would definitely stay there again.

  • My husband and I cannot express how perfect our time in Juneau was at Betty's apartment. The apartment is a perfect size and has all the right things like a comfy bed, big bathroom, a kitchen that has everything you'd need, a telescope to view wildlife, the most incredible view to wake up to every morning, and the most generous hosts. They let us use boots to walk out in the wetlands at low tide and shared snacks and wine with us over great conversation. I just hope they keep hosting for years to come so we can come back again.

    Caitlin2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very comfortable place to stay with a fantastic view. The kitchen was well equipped and Betty provided a nice assortment of breakfast foods. Betty was very friendly and responsive to questions and anything we needed. We enjoyed watching the tide go in and out and the great view of the glacier. It was a very relaxing place to stay during our time in Juneau. Access to the unit is on a gravel trail around the side of the house. It was a little challenging as we are older but we managed. It could be an issue for someone with more significant mobility issues.

    Jeannie2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Betty and Mark's place is a definite must for first time visitors of Juneau. The location is outstanding, Betty and Mark are very knowledgeable about local opportunities, and they both go out of their way to make sure you feel at home.

    Jeff2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Betty & Mark were outstanding hosts and nothing can beat the beauty of the place they share! Such an amazing part of the world and a beautiful apartment and view to follow. Alaska is a new favorite for us!

    Madison2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • The view can not be beat. It is totally worth the drive from town. The thoughtful touches around the apartment (fresh coffee, toiletries, laundry soap) made the stay even more comfortable.

    Elizabeth2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Nothing short of magical. Some of the best wildlife viewing we experienced in Alaska was right outside the apartment on the deck. The apartment has all the special touches and is very private from the house. Betty & Mark certainly have a special slice of Juneau and we thank them for sharing it with us.

    Sarah2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Betty and Mark were the most amazing hosts. We really wanted to stay somewhere that had a beautiful view. It exceeded our expectations in every way. Betty had all the essentials in the studio with some extras for breakfast and freshly ground coffee. The room was very clean and bed was comfortable! We also really enjoyed sitting out on the porch every evening and enjoyed betty and Mark's company sitting on their porch one evening. We would definitely come back this stay is going to be hard to beat!

Comfortable atmosphere with a terrific water and mountain view. Wildlife, such as eagles, sea lions, otters, and whales frequent the area. Lots of activity to see in the harbor as fishermen and adventurers come and go. The gently sloped beach provides easy access to the water. The cottage is on the beach with stairs leading up to the highway above and the adjacent parking. Tee Harbor was the original port in Juneau for the MV Chilkoot - the first Alaska Marine Highway ferry.
Our guests often tell us that visiting the cottage is like a blast from the past. The cottage contains numerous keepsakes and furniture from the sixties, seventies, and eighties.
The beach cottage is situated on the shores of Tee Harbor - a small community of its own, about 18 miles North of downtown Juneau. The airport is located approximately 9 miles from the cottage, and the ferry terminal is a short 4.5 miles away.
  • Lovely view of the water!

    Danika2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • No need to bring ketchup! Sam was a wonderfully helpful and responsive host. He helped us out with local suggestions on food/drink and activities, and the stay was beyond comfortable and anything that we had expected. The location and west facing windows that look out into Tee Harbor made for an above and beyond sun set and eagle viewing experience and we we left his place feeling extremely satisfied.

    Jay2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I and our 17 month old had a great time at Sam's place! The location is amazing - right on the water. I will admit that I was surprised at first by how dated the inside of the house was, but it was very homey and spacious. The pull-out couch upstairs was perfect for my toddler because the mattress laid on the floor, so she couldn't fall off. There are also bunk beds that would be perfect for older kids. I had the pleasure of meeting Sam, and he was very kind and gave us some local tips about the upcoming Salmon Derby. This house was the perfect end to our Alaskan adventure. It was so quiet and peaceful, and you can see all kinds of wildlife right outside the house. We watched bald eagles eat a salmon just a few feet away from the porch! I would 100% stay here again.

    Tessa2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to see the real Alaska, this is the place to stay. We were absolutely blown away with how beautiful and peaceful this place is. You could find a place more luxurious or with finer amenities but you will not find a place that feels more like the real authentic Alaska. It feels like a time capsule taking you back to a simpler better time. Amazing! And Sam was great and super helpful with what to do while in the area. I highly recommend staying here.

  • Great rustic cabin on the water in beautiful Juneau Alaska. Fish jumping, a whales cruising through the bay. Fantastic view. Cabin has all the basic amenities of home. Hosts are most friendly, knowledgeable of the area, and helpful. It's so peaceful and quiet. Great place to stay.

  • This is the most beautiful Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. The design and style of the home is very modern and well done. The host thought of everything, like little chocolates by the bed! She had anything you could need for stay in Juneau. And the porch? Gorgeous with an even more gorgeous view! I hope I get to return to this Airbnb in the future <3

  • We, family of four, stayed at Breadline Bluff for 6 days. The location is perfect. A short drive from downtown, but far enough out to be peaceful and quiet, with a beautiful view of the inlet and the mountains. Amazing hiking is minutes from your doorstep. The host was available and responsive, and the house is well stocked with books and games for quiet evenings in. It was definitely a good value, and we hope to visit again someday.

    Craig2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • This house is amazing - the pictures don’t do it justice. A great space for our group of 5 with enough room to spread out. The deck out back is heaven and a great place for a morning cup of coffee. About 20 min to the airport, 20 to mendenhall, and 35 to downtown Juneau. The house is stocked with literally everything you can think of, and is super comfy as well. Thanks Alice!

  • A beautiful spot off the beaten path in Juneau. Quiet, homey, attention to detail and great service.

    Cheryl2019-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most beautiful week here at this wonderful " in the woods" house .. everything you could want is here.

    Kristy2019-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • I came to the Breadline Bluff as a local, just wanting some quiet space for a couple days (a mom-retreat so to speak). After a little mix-up with the check-in time, Alice was gracious and more than accommodating to help me get settled in. What a great location: quiet, beautiful view from the windows and deck on the water side, large bathtub with provided foaming bath soaps, and comfortable beds. Also to enjoy are all the many musical instruments available for use. I could definitely see staying here with a family if I didn't live here, and I'll be recommending it for any out-of-town family on their next visit to Juneau!

  • Kelli’s apartment was perfect for my 4-night stay in Juneau with two kids (ages 4 months and 6 years). We liked the view of the harbor, trees out the back windows, and curtains for privacy. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with dishes and cooking tools. I especially appreciated the cast iron pan! Kelli communicated well and was responsive to questions. I would stay here again!

  • Kelli’s place was perfect for my early morning Auke Bay ferry departure. There was lots of room and has the added benefit of being super close ( downstairs) to GonZo’s breakfast if you don’t feel like cooking your own. Devil’s Hidaway is a great local bar with tasty Berger’s & the beautiful new Forbidden Peak brewery, both just a hop & skip away. Kelli’s directions were clear and she provided plenty of contacts if I couldn’t get in touch with her. We will be coming back.

  • My family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed their 7 night stay in your waterfront home and loved sitting on the back deck watching the eagles and other wildlife. Very convenient for two tours booked from Fisherman's Bend - fishing salmon and halibut and whale watching. Walking distance to restaurants, store and marina. Awesome adventure exploring Juneau and coming home in the evenings and waking up and sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee made it even more enjoyable. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and quick response to questions. Highly recommend your home to anyone visiting Juneau.

  • Wonderful stay at this beautiful setting on Auke Bay very convenient to Mendenhall Glacier and downtown Juneau . The abundance (dozens) and close proximity of the bald eagles throughout the trees and along the shore right below the house was one of the highlights of our trip. The views from the spacious deck were fabulous. Ash and Adam were great hosts answering any questions we had and providing great recommendations (Zerelda’s Bistro was fantastic). Nice touch with Ash’s homemade rhubarb and strawberry jam that was delicious. We highly recommend this house for those that love the outdoors.

  • We loved our stay, convenient , beautiful view of the harbor and especially the nice touch of homemade local jam and treats on arrival! Highly recommend !

  • Beautiful views, house was spotless, and host were great! Adam and Amy were quick to respond to any questions we had, directions for parking and checking in were clear and given the day before we arrived, making vacation that much more relaxing! I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting! They also had a great welcoming basket with some goodies and information about the house, these personal touches made all of us feel special!

  • Beautiful place near the water. Great view and close to the harbor.

  • Wonderful home, location, and communication. I recommend Adam's airbnb if you have late arrivals and early departures vis AMHS, 5 mins away. Home was furnished with all the amenities, and very clean. Quick, courteous and generous correspondence.

Escape into nature and find serenity and stillness. The retreat faces the water and is on a separate floor from the rest of the house. Perfect for couples, solo-travelers, and friends and family of Juneau residents who need extra accommodations. The restful bedroom has new luxurious bedding and pillows. The private spa-like bath offers hand selected toiletries and sumptuous towels. A Keurig coffee maker and continental breakfast treats are included along with a mini-fridge & microwave.
Our beach front home is located in one of Juneau's most desirable areas - at the tip of Spuhn Island with unobstructed views of 7 other islands. It offers a remote feel and a quiet, peaceful sanctuary - but is convenient to hiking trails, nearby restaurants or stores, a harbor, and hiking or walking trails.
Quiet and private. On the water and gets less wind and rainfall then other areas in Juneau. Safe neighborhood. Juneau is in the midst of a beautiful rain forest which has 12 microclimates due to the mountain ranges, ice fields, and glaciers, so the weather is unpredictable.
  • I spent three nights as Gretchen's guest in her beautiful home. The keyless entry to the Guest area made it easy and convenient to come-and-go. Her Guest area is very attractively decorated, spotlessly clean, and Gretchen has provided every amenity you'd want (I especially loved the cozy robe). The neighborhood is very quiet, which makes for great sleeping. Gretchen has arranged that guests have access to coffee/tea and snacks anytime they desire. The view from the bedroom window is of Auke Bay and the islands. It is extraordinarily beautiful, peaceful, zen-like. The view changes each day (and at different times of the day), from calm, misty mornings, to blazing red sunsets. Bald eagles fly by, seals swim in the water. It is so lovely that it is tempting to just spend the day at her property. Her home is a quick drive from the airport, and it was an easy drive to all the locations in the area that I chose to visit. Gretchen was a wonderful and pleasant host, and most helpful. If I return to Juneau, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend.

  • The view here is absolutely stunning and the photographs on line do not do it justice. The tranquility and serenity that you will find as you sip a cup of coffee or a glass of wine from your private beach is incredible! Gretchen was such a thoughtful and kind hostess, she even had a surprise waiting for us on my birthday! Such accommodation and attention to detail is what makes her a truly lovely person as well as a top notch hostess! We definitely will be back!

  • We had a wonderful visit in Juneau and Gretchen's home with the stunning panoramic view made it even better. We were immediately greeted upon our arrival (which was not expected since we arrived around 9:30pm) and had the opportunity to chat with Gretchen to learn a little about her and the area. She definitely went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable by providing some breakfast goodies, blueberry muffins, various snack foods and drinks for our stay. We were even surprised one day with some delicious chocolate rolls that were divine and everything we needed to roast marshmallows and make smore's. Unfortunately, we didn't have the time to make the fire... but we wanted too, Just needed one more day. 8( During our stay, we also had access to a sitting room and the back patio to admire the beautiful view. Our room and the bathroom was sparkingly clean and we had absolutely no issues. Everything we needed was provided, however, if we did need anything Gretchen was very responsive and willing to make sure our stay was comfortable. My husband and I were very pleased with our visit and would highly recommend Gretchen's place. We will be back!

  • Gretchen was a wonderful host who goes the extra distance to make sure your stay is everything and more. Her place has the most beautiful views. It’s a quick drive from downtown Juneau so you can go into town during the day and enjoy the beauty of Gretchen’s place in the evenings. I definitely recommend staying here!!!

  • We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was nice, she provide delicious scones and cinnamon chocolate croissants for breakfast. She had provided some good information on where we should go around and what to expect to see, and it was very accurate. She was very quick at getting back to us when we had some queries which was really nice.

  • Gretchen is the most responsive host I have had on AirBnB, VRBO or other rentals. The only major concern I had was getting to the space. It is downhill and covered with rocks. It was difficult for me while carrying bags. The patio is a visitors dream and Gretchen makes wonderful accommodations for it. (The patio is the only living area other than the bedrooms. ) .

  • Cannot beat the view of this beautiful house! A 10 minute drive from the airport and 20 mins. from downtown. The house is in a quiet neighborhood right on the water and both bedrooms have a view of the ocean. The host Gretchen responses very quickly to my messages and tries her best to make sure our stay is comfortable. Highly recommend staying with her if you are visiting Juneau!

This space is about basic functionality - not sparkly clean hospitality. Imagine "one step above camping" due to rustic amenities and no running water in the cabin itself. Nextdoor are two private toilets with only cold water in the sink, one hot shower, washer/ dryer, and utility sink with hot water.
  • The cabin is a lot more spacious than it appears to be. I didn't expect to have as many amenities that were provided. Fantastic Hosts and and a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

  • The cabins are nicely located close to the ferry pier. We could go around by the bikes provided, what was very convenient. The cabin was super clean as well as the bathroom & toilet. Incredible sunset views and privacy were a great plus. The cosy cabins corresponded exactly to what we were expecting. We will definitely stay again here.

  • The cabin is very spacious and cozy, a kettle and a coffee maker, a place for a fire, a free one is great, huge windows! Erin even allowed me to stay until the evening plane, because no one stopped by after me! Very noble! It’s a pity that I never met bears or elks, but it’s so quiet and healthy in the area that there’s no room for chagrin! But the trip to Glacier Bay was not very impressed.

  • The owners are super nice. This place is definitely worth staying.

  • What a great deal to explore a fun town! A group of us came up for a long weekend and the cabins made it that much better. Travis & Erin were incredibly responsive to all of my questions beforehand, had bikes available, and made the place great. I would recommend booking both cabins, if available, as it was great to have the extra space and not have to worry about bothering any neighbors. The cabins were a short walk from the ferry terminal but I would recommend having a car in Gustavus to get out to Glacier Bay as it is quite a long bike ride. Beaches and trails are very convenient and we found the locals to be exceptionally nice! We would definitely return again.

  • Just a short walk from the ferry terminal...super easy directions...even my dumb ass figured it out. Gracious hosts. Bicycles for your use...no need to lock them up...Chuckle...I’m from Los Angeles and this was a breath of fresh air. Coffee shop down the road at 4 corners within walking or bike distance. $15 cab ride (9ish miles) to the National Park Service Lodge where you can get the day boat to Glacier National Park. Ask the driver to stop at Toshco so you can get some groceries on the way back from the boat...be aware stuff is expensive out in the hinter lands so you may want to bring grub from Juneau with you. Budget rentals is way perfect and gives one a wee sense of Alaska. Separate bath/shower...not in rooms. I can’t say enough really great things about this place and these gracious hosts. STAY HERE instead of staying at the rather spendy lodge. 8-). I had 3g cell service on Verizon.

  • The place was as described. Simple yet had all the basics. We caught a beautiful sunset from the property and our hosts are definitely "superhosts" because they indeed made sure our stay was great!

Enjoy the peace and quiet of Eagle's Lair with a private view of Lena Cove, Lynn Canal, and Shelter Island. Engage in the splendor watching the passing eagles and whales. The hidden fortress overlooks the beach and offers hours of meditation and peace. Nearby are trails for biking and hiking. If you are looking for a quiet exploration of Southeast, this is your hideaway.
This hideaway is only reachable by staircase. You must be able to manage two flights of stairs. The kitchen is minimal: small oven, two-burner stove, and microwave. An outdoor grill can be made available. This kitchen is not practical for preparing a huge family-style meal.
The neighborhood is very quiet; major events are not permitted. However, we are happy to host wedding guests or create a bridal suite. Ten minutes away is Auke Bay Harbor with local restaurants and bar.
