Places to stay in Junction City
Rustic yet contemporary, "Cabin in the Woods" in the iconic Poker Bar neighborhood is a 1920's remodeled Trinity Lumber Company cabin sure to provide guests with memorable stays. A great value, the cabin has everything--tranquility, pet-friendly, close to fishing, golfing, hiking & outdoor recreation. The Trinity River is a walk away on the same property and is also ideally located near 3 towns, 3 lakes, the Trinity River & access to public recreational areas.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CABIN HAS BEEN DISINFECTED ACCORDING TO AIRBNB'S COVID-19 GUIDELINES. The cabin nicely sleeps 4; a couple and 2 additional people. If you have more than 4 people in your group there is a also very comfortable queen sized self-inflatable mattress with bedding. (contact me if you have a group larger than 5 people--I also have a separate RV/camping site in the meadow below). The master bedroom has a lush queen bed, double closet, dresser, office space, Internet, lots of natural light and blackout curtains with views of the wooded areas. The room right outside the bedroom is a shared bedroom with a soft comfy double bed and a twin bed, a small cafe bar w/stools and a full size washer/dryer. No need to mess with starting a wood stove, as the cabin is heated and cooled with an efficient mini-split heating/AC system. There is also a ceiling fan in the master bedroom and two floor fans that can be moved anywhere in the cabin. Located in a very safe and private area in Poker Bar and secluded in the trees, the cabin is a perfect place to get away and 'unplug' and enjoy the beauty and many recreation opportunities of the Trinity Alp's. The kitchen has a nice variety of spices, condiments, culinary knives, an assortments of teas and coffee, and all cooking essentials. There are convenient stores/gas stations in Lewiston and Douglas City, as well as a full service (Holiday) market and CVS store in Weaverville. As far as fishing, there is first-class salmon and steelhead runs nearby. A few guides from Trinity Fly Shop on Lewiston Rd. live right in the neighborhood! Additionally, there is a large salmon hole within a 5 minute walk from the cabin. Drift boat and raft access is available within the neighborhood or about 1 mile at Bucktail public access. The River typically rises starting late April/early May and goes up and down, and then completely down to about 350 towards the end of August. Lewiston Lake is about 10 miles away. Blue ribbon rainbow trout 5lb+ pound trout are common in this lake. Boats are available at Pine Cove Marina for rent. The Trinity River Hatchery is the largest salmon and steelhead hatchery in CA and is located at the end of Trinity Dam Boulevard. For more information on river levels and fishing conditions, contact Trinity River Restoration or visit The Trinity Fly Shop in Lewiston or Pine Cove Marina for boat rentals. The property and surrounding areas support an abundance of wildlife. Deer, fox, bobcats, rabbits, bears, bald eagles, hawks, osprey, blue heron and other critters can be seen often. For those wishing to hike, the Trinity Alps trail heads are a 30 minute drive. See maps inside the cabin for information on hiking and backpacking trails. There are also day hikes around Lewiston and Trinity Lakes, as well. The friendly staff at the Forest Service office in Weaverville also has additional maps and information on the area.
The Poker Bar neighborhood is a mix of locals and retirees who live here or visit their second homes. Some residents live on the river and some along the main roads and up in the hills. It's fun to bike/walk up and down Reo Lane, Bridge Road, and Poker Bar West and/or get wet in the river on my property, or swim at area lakes.
  • Roads are a but windy.. but just take your time. This is a great place to unwind and unplug. Although there was wi-fi at Lisa's, reception is minimal in the valley. The cabin is wonderfully accommodating. Centralized location, no crowds, great privacy, and safe. Just bring your own food and drinks, and a grateful heart, and Lisa takes care of everything else. Would highly recommend.

  • We recently stayed at Lisa’s place this week and it was such a cozy place! She was very nice and accommodating. Very clean and stylish. I loved she had toys and games for our kids helped to keep them busy. She also had some sweets for us which was kind of her. Would definitely stay here again in future!

  • For my Christmas/New Years Trip I decided to plan a mother daughter trip and this was the best location. Lisa was able to allow us to stay with our dogs which we are so thankful for. One of our highlights would have to be waking up to see all the deer run by from the window or just opening the back door. Lisa had some delicious treats when we arrived, as well a binder with all the information you may need to near by locations and answers to how we could utilize in the cabin. It’s an amazing place to disconnect and enjoy the magic of nature. We drove up a couple miles to enjoy some snow and the river is absolutely magical. This is definitely a place I would love to return to. Lisa was very great at responding and making sure we were well taken care of. Thank you Lisa! Definitely coming back!

  • Great place!

    Sorren2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great space 15 mins outside of Weaverville and about 5 mins off a small road from 299. The directions to get there aren't too difficult once you've done it once and it's fairly easy to figure out from google maps. We stayed here for 3 nights while we fished elsewhere during the day and it was a very relaxing place to return to after being out on the water all day. The cabin is fully outfitted and Lisa has everything you need to have a comfortable stay without worrying about not having something, it's all there and she's thought of everything.

    Christopher2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa's place has everything a cottage getaway would need. This location keeps you only one hour away from larger city limits and provides peace and comfort in the woods. For those cooks, Lisa provides the perfect pantry amenties in the Kitchen. She definitely gets all stars on all the touches she provided, even delicious farmers market brownies at our check in! We had the pleasure to meet her and we will definitely keep it on the list for a return stay. Thank You Lisa for your great hospitality, you surpassed our expectations!

    Veronica2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Cannot say enough positive things. We spent our 30th wedding anniversary here, and it was absolutely amazing! More than we could ask for. Lisa is a awesome host and the cabin was immaculate w many accomodations, peace and quiet, privacy and beautiful surroundings. We can't wait to visit again and enjoy it all over. ❤️ Thank you so much, Lisa and for this Gem in the Woods! ~Tanja n Mike

  • This was a very nice place to come back to each evening after a day out hiking in the woods. Clean, comfortable, quiet with a nice river view.

    Jason2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • I travel with my work crew very often in their area and they were so accommodating to us. Made sure we had everything we needed and personally worked with our schedules. We appreciate them very much and cant wait to stay again!

    Rich2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • We take an annual winter fishing trip to Lewiston, and this is our new go-to place - Undoubtedly we will be staying here every year going forward. It was absolutely perfect for 2 of us for a several day trip. Everything in the cabin was organized and clearly labeled, there was surprisingly a wide variety of kitchen gadgets (ie a manual masher for us to make mashed potatoes), and the space was comfortable to relax in. The back porch was a nice touch where we spent a lot of time as well. I wouldn't change anything about the place. 5*, and an amazing value!

    Bryan2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great place if you are planning to fish the Trinity River. Very warm and cozy with the fireplace and the pantry items came in handy! Would definitely stay here again.

    Malinda2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot for a weekend getaway of fishing. The house sits right on the river and just down stream of bucktail access point. Mary is a great host and makes sure the house is fully stocked!

    K. Stan2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place. Superb location for two fisherman. Hosts are very responsive. Kitchen is well stocked. There are Steelhead fishing spots above and below this location. Guides frequently float this section. Loved the wood burning fireplace and had plenty of wood and kindling. In winter this place is toasty warm. Had deer greet us almost daily in both the morning and evening. The bedrooms are small but adequate and the combo kitchen and living room areas are spacious and comfortable. Clearly the hosts keep this place clean, well stocked and have done everything to insure you have a great trip to earn repeat customers. Best compliment is to simply say I have found my fishing cabin in the river and I will definitely be back. Thanks Larry and Mary!!

    Mark2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • This place is outstanding! The location is perfect for a nice quiet getaway and some days full of fishing and hiking! Mary made our entire stay easy and enjoyable!

    Sulaiman2020-01-04T00:00:00Z

Mary keeps everything very well stocked in case there is anything you may need. Overall great time and great host. Will be back!!!

  • Debbie’s place was an amazing retreat for our family! She provided wonderful toys and books for our 1.5 year old who loved playing with the toys and exploring the grounds. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit every night. The place was cozy and clean. Debbie was an amazing host and so accommodating and easy to contact! Would highly recommend Bliss Acres for a relaxing getaway.

    Ann2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Debbies place is truly Bliss Acres. The location is just fabulous, in the woods in the mountains, the hot tub is a fantastic bonus, and the accommodation is so comforting and cozy! Thank you!

    Liliana2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • A romantic mountain get away! I will say, it’s quite an adventure to actually get to the space so be prepared! Bring extra food and drinks! But once you settle, you’ll love the cute little kitchen, the meditation spaces, the comfortable bed, the HOT TUB, and all the dogs that live in the mountain community! I hope some day I am able to return for another week of me time!

    Jenny2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Quant bungalow with comfortable, clean accommodations at a great value. Definitely recommend visiting Debbies Bliss acres as I know I will be returning.

    Jason2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Bliss Acres is so charming! Perfect place for a getaway in the mountains. Debbie has the place well-stocked and brought us some extra kitchen supplies quickly on request. It had snowed before our trip so the area was beautiful. Luckily the roads were clear - the last stretch is on a narrow road winding up the hill. It was silent at night, no animal issues, and could see the stars. Hot tub was nice, no issues with utilities, WiFi is as described. We only went out once per day - it’s much nicer as a spot to unplug and settle in.

    Kyle2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay, and every bit as great as the first. The inside was clean, smelled nice, and warm. Everything you need is there to cook, and plenty of space to enjoy a nice evening walk. I am looking forward to the coming fire pit! She puts great care into her Bungalow, and it is seen in every touch. A very nice vacation for us.

    Miles2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time back at Bliss Acres and we are so grateful for Debbie because she is such a gracious host! The bed is incredibly comfortable, the entire bungalow smells great thanks to the Doterra essential oil diffuser. We took advantage of the hot tub again and Debbie treated us to some of her wine. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. Whenever we had a question for Debbie she always communicated back within minutes! Bliss Acres has become our favorite weekend getaway and we can’t wait to be back!

  • My husband and I had a great time staying in Lori’s cabin. It’s close to lots of great hikes and fishing. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you would need - all sorts of pans, seasonings, and even pancake mix with butter and maple syrup. There were snacks on our arrival, which my husband enjoyed very much. That was a nice touch since a market is a little bit down the road. If you are a fishing enthusiast, this place is for you. Super close to lots of great fishing spots and adorable fish decor all around the cabin. Beautiful view of the hillside, which was covered in fog in the morning - very lovely with our morning coffee. Also, there’s a Keurig with lots of coffee options and tea in the kitchen. We ended up not doing any fishing this time and instead enjoyed nearby hikes and scenic drives. Definitely check out the town of Shasta nearby, which is a very neat historical preservation site. A great way to learn about the area’s history. This would be a great retreat for a family or group of friends. Lots of beds! I hope we will be back.

  • Nice spacious cabin with great kitchen.

    Barry2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lori's cabin was a very nice place to stay during our steelhead trip. There is a nice area in the entry for changing for a day of fishing or hiking. The front room has a very warm gas fireplace that was a lifesaver after cold days on the river! Lori was very prompt with any help we needed as she and her husband live close by. It was a nice surprise to see snacks on the table and a nice note when we first arrived. It was also much more spacious than we had thought. There are multiple little rooms with a total of 5 beds each with fishing decorations in them as an added touch. We plan on staying here again in the future if possible and look forward to it!

RiverView at Trinity is a family friendly fishing cabin located steps from the Trinity River. Located on 3 acres, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath cabin will undergo a major remodel in 2019, but is "rustic ready" now for your family or fishing buddies to take advantage of the prime location on the Trinity River. Per night rate includes Trinity County Transient Occupancy Tax
RiverView is closer to the river than any home located on the Trinity. The 2-story cabin has 3-bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs and a large living room and kitchen upstairs. Each bedroom has a Queen bed and there's room upstairs in the living room for a couple of kids to sleep on the couch or floor. What do we mean by "rustic ready"? We recently purchased RiverView and are planning some major upgrades and a remodel. You can see by the photos that the home is pretty awesome as it is, but we know the kitchen and bathrooms need some updating and the outside of the home needs a paint job. We are holding off on these to do them during the remodel. We have kept the rates low, with this in mind.
  • This quaint cabin was beautiful! Located right on the river, where fishing was easily accessible and had breathtaking views! Shannon and Renee were quick to respond and a pleasure to communicate with. The cabin was also kept very clean. My family and I had a great few days staying here and will definitely be back!

  • Great place to relax, listen to the river, BBQ, float around in the river, and hang out in the living area. The spice rack was great and helpful and there were a lot of cooking supplies to use. Bed rooms were clean, neat, and comfortable. Great place to relax and get away.

    David2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Situated on the pristine Trinity River, this location offers travelers direct access to the sparkling waters and lush landscape of Junction City. Only a short drive to Weaverville, this country home is the perfect balance between majestic topography and the comforts of civilization. The house itself evokes thoughts of simpler times when a cabinet of board games could be an oasis of wholesome diversion. Fully equipped with all the modern conveniences, guests will find all their material needs met. River View is the ideal place for a family get away or solitary reflection. If you like birds, rushing water, river rocks drenched in suns, rustling leaves and cozy accommodations----this is the place for you! And the final jewel in the crown-----your canine companions are welcome!!!

  • A real getaway! Veronica is an amazing host with lots of local tips to help explore the area from a local viewpoint. Our 3 year old loved playing with Luna (Veronica ‘s dog) and the cats. Will love to visit the place again sometime in the future.

Our place is close to downtown Weaverville, art and culture, family-friendly activities, restaurants and dining, Trinity Lake and river, and the Historic Joss House. Our home is quiet and peaceful. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is roomy, and the yard is huge. Weaver Creek runs through the back of the property. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families. Please note that the outdoor furniture & bbq are only out between Memorial & Labor day weekends. We have WiFi.
The house is about 1400 sf. It has a living room and a family room. There is a shaded front porch with *Adirondack chairs for lounging, and there is a patio with electric bbq and an umbrella table with chairs for eating al fresco, as well as a bench overlooking the back of the property for lazy afternoons reading or snoozing. *please note bbq and outdoor furniture is only out between Memorial&Labor day weekends
Quiet and peaceful. You can hear the sound of the creek year round. We are in a "neighborhood", but the lots are an acre or more and there's plenty of space and privacy. The neighbors are friendly but not nosey.
  • Enjoyed our stay stay, close to town

    Dave2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely place to stay for my husband and me and our two teenage boys-- everything is really well maintained and super comfortable, clean. We especially liked how well the living room was arranged (big comfy L shaped couch) for the four of us to be together as a family! This was a great place, very thoughtfully prepared for guests. I would totally stay here again if I'm ever in the area. Perfect!

Fishella Motela is named after an avid hunter and fisherman Phil Fishella. The space is a cute sleeping cabin RV site right on the Trinity river. It has wonderful outdoor space for guests who either want to camp, sleep in the cabin or hook up their self-contained RVs. There is a second RV site on the opposite side of the property which has all RV hookups (water, electricity and sewer) in a woodsy, flat meadow site with views of the Trinity forest. The pictures will recognize the differences.
Fishella Motela is a 120 square foot cabin and has electricity for a self-contained RV and lots of space for camping. The alternate RV site is in a woodsy meadow which has hookups for electricity, water, and sewer, two large fire pit areas with wood stump seats and hammocks with views of the Trinity forest.
The neighborhood is very safe and composed of a mix of full-time residents as well as those visiting their second homes. There is a lot of active wildlife in the area, beautiful stars at night and simple rustic charm. Trinity has many recreational, entertainment, farmers' markets, and traditional events throughout the year in Lewiston, Weaverville and Douglas City. Please always respect neighbors, no noise after 9PM, speed limit signs, the land and animals and rental rules.

The Pine Cone Cottage is one of three separate cottage rooms at River Rock Gardens. It features a queen bed with a wonderful view of the gardens through French doors. It has a small bathroom w/shower. The kitchen area has a microwave, Keurig coffee maker, toaster and small refrigerator. The kitchen is NOT set up for any kind of major cooking - Please plan accordingly. We do have wildlife/security cameras on the property. None that violate your privacy.
The pool is heated from mid-May to mid-September. We are sorry, but we do not accept pets. The Lewiston Animal Clinic does board dogs and cats. It is about 2 miles from our home. We do not rent to pot smokers as the odor remains on clothing and then lingers in the rooms after they leave, which is not fair to the next guests.
  • Katie was a great hostess. The cabin was very nice and clean. Hope to be returning in the near future.

  • My boyfriend and I came here for a couple days. It was such a relaxing time. The grounds are beautiful, the cottage was clean, it came with just the right amenities, and was perfect for what we wanted. We met Katie at check in, she was so friendly, but we were definitely in need of some quiet down time and felt that our space was respected as well. I loved being able to use the seating right by the river to read a book and disconnect from life. Thank you Katie!

  • Pine Cone Cottage definitely exceeded our expectations in every way! I was looking for a place near Trinity Alps Resort, where we were to meet up with some family we hadn’t seen in years. I found this and was thankful it wasn’t booked, since it was a holiday weekend. Pine Cone Cottage was perfect, cozy and peaceful. The pictures of the inside and property didn’t do it justice. It was clean and beautiful and the property is amazing! The bed is comfy, and we loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the beautiful scenery. My brother-in-law and his wife were able to get the Bears Den Cottage which was also beautiful. Katie was away for the weekend, but Mel came and introduced himself. They are such wonderful hosts with a wonderful property. We will definitely be coming back!

    Sue2019-09-02T00:00:00Z

This is a real but restored and enhanced miner's cabin that offers a dog-friendly, wonderful setting with 2 beds mere feet from the scenic Trinity River. The river rock landing with fire pit/BBQ is a nature lover's dream come true. Fish right there, or wade to the riffles. Sharp-eyed guests spot the resident bald eagles and river otters. Midsummer-late fall, watch huge salmon spawn just a few feet from the landing. Ask about 3+ night discounts.
The cutest little cabin on the river! Relax inside and enjoy the natural light that all the windows let in or hang out on the back deck that overlooks the Trinity River. Below the back deck is the river landing, which has chairs and a table, is finished with river rock, and has a fire pit. This cabin is surrounded by trees with an unobstructed view of the river. Blackberries and plum trees are flush with fruit for you to pick and enjoy in the summer and fall. A birdwatchers delight, as well. Bald eagles, osprey, heron, and migratory waterfowl and songbirds frequent this location. Exceptional fishing right in the backyard.
This property is right on the Trinity River. Weaverville is only 10 minutes away for shopping, gas, fishing tackle, etc. Guides can be suggested by host for fishing or rafting/ kayaking.
  • The place is just as its described! The river behind the cabin is beautiful. Plenty of things to do. We went to weaverville which is the next city west of Douglas City and went hiking. The cabin supplies everything you'd need.. a small fridge, outdoor firepit to cook and grill, cooking utensils, and plenty of firewood nearby. It was perfect for a weekend trip to get away from the city. Highly recommended.

    Mike2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cabin along the trinity river. It has everything you need to feel comfortable and to enjoy the outdoors. This was my second time staying at the miners cabin (for a fishing trip) and it did not disappoint. I’ve always had a blast at this place. Justin takes good care of the cabin and is responsive if you have any questions.

    Josh2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute, cozy cabin. River is right outside the back door! Great spot if you’re looking to unplug and get away from it all. This cabin is a little distance from the other and is much more private. We came in the winter and found the heating worked very well, there was plenty of hot water for showers, and it was a great spot to cuddle up out of the cold. Wifi was spotty and no cell service (and no TV) means “roughing it,” without electronics (haha) — but I highly recommend doing so, it was GREAT for the soul. FYI kitchen has all the necessities with a toaster oven & microwave, but no stove; we just put our Colman gas grill on the porch and it did the trick. Perfect spot to unwind in a rustic setting, and comfortable if you’re looking for something a bit easier than camping. We found it to be a very romantic spot to spend our anniversary. :) Hosts were very accommodating and are nice people all around. Thanks to Justin & co., we loved it! Cheers! - Michelle & Nghia

    Michelle2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing cabin. It is right on the river and extremely peaceful. Inside, the cabin is very cozy with lots of thoughtful personal touches. The kitchen has the basics of what you need — electric skillet, toaster oven, microwave, utensils, etc. I did have a hard time with the WiFi, so that’s something to keep in mind, but overall I loved staying here and will probably try to stay again. Justin was also responsive and helpful throughout the stay.

    Grace2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a lovely place to retreat! It is utterly surrounded by trees and completely secluded and private – and the river is right there, sparkling and beautiful and teaming with wildlife. The cabin was very clean, warm, cozy, and exactly what we expected. The loft bed was incredibly comfortable! What an utterly charming spot - I wish we could have stayed longer!! Be aware that there is no cell reception and we were unable to get any usable wifi either. However they do provide a landline, so you're not utterly stranded. They also have a binder full of information that is so helpful and thoughtful. We didn't see another soul while we were there and that's just how we like it!!

    Mani2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location on the river! Nice cabin that was the perfect size for our little family. I was nice to unplug, relax and enjoy the scenery.

    Samantha2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great little cabin by the river. Very pretty view of the river, lovely trees, peaceful. We went to fancy dinner at the Indian River (Indian Creek??) resort just down the road. Be aware that the path to the river involves a ladder if you have mobility issues! Wifi was touch and go, which was fine for us. Bed was comfortable. Justin was very helpful getting us checked in.

  • This cabin is beautiful inside and out. The photos don't do it justice. You have to see the great detail put into all the building of this wonderful home. Lots of space. Clean inside and out. The kitchen is wonderful for preparing any meal and the commercial stove and double oven work amazing. There is even a heat lamp in the Viking Hood over the Viking Stovetop. Outdoor propane grill also works great. The location is great! In between Trinity and Lewiston Lake and also not far from Whiskeytown Lake. The home is in a very quiet area and the surrounding nature is a wonderful site. The hosts were very communicative during our whole stay and even gave great tips on fishing as well as family fun activities in nearby towns. Our family absolutely loved this vacation and would definitely look forward to coming back in the future! Thanks Lisa and Michael for being great hosts!

  • This home in the woods is absolutely beautiful! What a great place to hangout with family and cook and enjoy meals. This house is so welcoming and comfortable. We enjoyed just hanging at home and being in nature. Michael, Lois and Lisa were excellent hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. We did have everything we needed in this well furnished house and loved every minute of it. This is a great location being close to shopping in Weaverville and close to Lewiston and Trinity lakes. We may need to come back next year!

    Matt2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing, especially compared to the other places I have stayed in and around Lewiston. The house was spacious and clean and the owner would answer any questions within minutes. The location is good and fairly easy to get too. The only issue I had was trying to access the river from poker bar road, there were a bunch of no trespassing signs and I was unsure where I could fish from. This was inconsequential when you consider how many other spots there are to access the river and obviously has nothing to do with the house. The kitchen was unbelievable and had everything you could need. The best thing I can say is that this house was clearly well maintained, there were no bugs or other peats common with cabins in this area. I will definitely be renting this place in the future!

Venture out on a hike or head up to the lake to test out your paddleboarding skills. Once you’ve worked up an appetite from a long day outdoors, drive into downtown to dine at a local cafe or prepare your family’s favorite in the fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen is beautifully designed with custom wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances and a sizable standalone island with cushioned, bar seating for 2. Take a seat at the counter for a quick bite or share a meal with the whole group in the dining nook set inside a window-framed alcove with built-in bench seating. French doors separate the main living space from the master bedroom, housing a queen bed, spa-like en-suite bathroom and double doors to access the porch. The second bedroom also offers a queen bed and porch access, while 2 can sleep soundly in the open loft offering a queen-sized bed. Although the resort is closed during September and October, don't let that stop you from visiting, as the fall colors are sure to inspire. Try hiking and backpacking in the Trinity Alps Wilderness or head up to Trinity Lake with the provided kayaks and paddleboard to get out on the water. For a change of scenery, check out Lewiston Lake only 15 miles from the property, or Trinity Alps Resort. When the snow begins to fall, the area transforms into a winter wonderland, offering opportunities for snowshoeing and cross country skiing! Spend an afternoon wandering downtown Weaverville, a quaint historic town with an Old West heritage. Browse the local boutiques, tour the old saloons and snack on your favorite comfort foods at the Nugget Restaurant. Trinity Alps Resort is only 5 miles from the home and don’t forget your clubs as the Trinity Alps Golf Course & Country Club is only 9 minutes away! Spend an afternoon on the fairways and an evening at the on-site restaurant for a mouthwatering steak or wood-fired pizza.
  • Sheri’s place was perfect for us to stay at while visiting family in Weaverville. It’s clean, quiet, nicely decorated and had everything we needed to eat, sleep and relax. It was very comfortable. She was a nice host and very responsive. It was in a beautiful location. Really nice Weaverville Airbnb. Keep in mind: the dirt road getting to the house is rough and steep - not appropriate for a sedan - may frighten some drivers. It’s a 10 minute drive from town and very dark at night. There’s only one walk in shower in the house, the other is a claw foot bathtub shower. The loft is small - better for kids than adults, and it’s hot up there too. The host came by at 8am on our first day with her dog. She lives on the property.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Daniel's place! lots of great hiking and fishing nearby-- and having the pool and hot tub made it extra special!

    Christie2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • All around great place for a peaceful time with friends and family

    James2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic house with a great location. The pool house was amazing and the jacuzzi was also great.

    Jeff2019-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel's place is a low-key gem. Beautiful location that was remote, but not too far from stores for necessities. Loved relaxing in the pool & hot tub and playing lawn games outside by the river. The nearby Pine Cove Marina was also a great spot to rent a boat and spend a day on the water! Highly recommend and look forward to revisiting soon!

    Katie2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place was magical. Deer just come around and hang out if they like you. I leapt and bounded over to the weeping willow. The pool/jacuzzi area is bigger, cleaner, and more fun than I expected. Dan recommended the hotel as a place to dine/hangout close by. We did a lot of road tripping around there, we went to Redding for groceries before driving in. Because of the fire, some places are closed down in Whiskeytown so be aware of that but I got to swim with geese and I’m so happy! They’re so friendly out here. Dan is super receptive, nurturing, and clean. Best Host award!

    Amber2019-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay in a quiet area. Would stay here again without hesitation. Daniel is a great host and very accommodating.

    Greg2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Dan's place was AMAZING! It had everything we were looking for. Peace and quiet away from everything, yet still close to markets /trails/ and lakes/rivers. What really drew us in were the indoor heated pool and hot tub. Daniel was very quick to respond to the few questions we had before arrival, and was prompt on meeting us at the house to show us around and explain how everything worked, and was close by if needed throughout our stay . A wood stove in the kitchen heated our home for the weekend (with endless firewood) along with space heaters if necessary. A very spacious kitchen for cooking and eating, living room for televion and games, and huge pool room and solarium comfortably fit our group of 10. There are 4 good sized bedrooms and plenty of room to set up air mattresses if needed. Not to mention plenty of bathrooms which are so appreciated having a larger group. There are also Alpacas that live across the street and our yard was full of deer a lot of the time! We definitely hope to stay in Dan's home again in the future!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Wendy’s place. The home has a wonderful layout with beautiful views of the mountains in the front of the house. Everything was as described or better, the kitchen was fully stocked, even those who love cooking will find enough pots and pans and supplies. The home was tastefully updated over the years and has a charming late mid century feel. It’s blocks from downtown and very convenient and Wendy was very responsive to any issues or questions we had.

    Andrew2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy's place in Weaverville was great. We were there for a fly fishing trip and found the house to be perfect for my dad and I to stay for two nights. The place was warm and comfortable, and really spacious. Wendy came and greeted us at the house and she was really thoughtful with setting up our visit and keeping the place sparkling clean :)

    James2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy’s place was fantastic. Exceeded my expectations in every way. Wendy was very helpful and accommodating. Thanks again!!

    Chloe2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy was such a gracious host. My family and I were in town for my nieces’ theater performances and needed a last minute accommodation. Wendy was willing to host us and was such a pleasure to meet in person. This home is phenomenal! Such a gem in Weaverville. Beautiful serene setting with panoramic views. Cozy and spacious inside. We fell in love with the space and you can see some original bones in the home. Beautiful history and property. Thank you Wendy for such a lovely stay!

    Gabriela2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful and gracious hostess Wendy is, so friendly and accommodating. She did everything possible as a hostess to make me feel at home. Her timely responses to my many messages was not only extremely helpful, but very ingratiating. The entire house was impeccably clean and neat. The house is cozy and comfortable and is appointed with all of the standard domestic amenities, plus it has a beautiful view towards the Trinity Alps. I highly recommend this location.

    Craig2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Ohde house was great! Wendy was great with the communication — check-in and check-out were ultra-smooth. The house was so clean and comfortable— loved the lazyboy chairs in the living room. When I needed to get some work done while the spouse took time off, it allowed me to have a serene and beautiful workspace next to the living room picture window, while the spouse went hiking nearby. Ohde house is about a 10 -15 minute walk to downtown Weaverville, to a small cafe and eatery called Mama Llamas, where we went for breakfast on occasion. The kitchen was well-stocked...we made meals with ease —- Wendy provided all the essentials and more... (thanks for the mustard, which we needed for sandwiches!)

    Rebecca2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We were looking for a place to stay in town, but close enough to go to Trinity Lake. This house fit the bill. It was centrally located in town, clean, tidy, safe, secure, cozy, and comfortable. Our family will definitely be returning to this lovely home.

    Betsy2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was superb! Wendy accommodated my family of 5 (including a 3 and 5 year old), in any way she could. From having a side rail for the bed my kids and I slept in, the toys, and lounge chairs on the deck, our stay was splendid. I would come back in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Weaverville, this is it.

Sow's Ear is a dog-friendly, comfortable home base with 3 bedrooms and two baths, a great covered front porch, full use of our river frontage & hot tub. You can be fishing within a minute from your door and the deer will greet you every day. You're going to love it.
Sow's Ear is a wonderful, dog-friendly, easy-access cabin at the end of the road, less than a minute's walk to the Trinity, with full use of our 600+ feet of shoreline, the hot tub overlooking the river and the hammered copper fire pit overlooking the river. It is easy to get to (just 3 miles from 299) and incredibly quiet. All you hear is the river along with crickets, frogs and birds. There is great hiking and biking right outside your door. This cabin has 3 full bedrooms and two baths. One bedroom has bunk beds as well as a queen bed and kids can choose between a raccoon or a dinosaur sleeping bag if traditional bedding seems kind of dull. (See the animal bags in Photos; they are a hoot!) The master bedroom has a handcrafted queen log bed, private bath with shower and a sliding door out to the honeysuckle porch. The second bedroom has a handmade queen log bed. The third bedroom is completely paneled in marvelous tongue and groove cedar; it has a queen bed, plus substantially made stacked bunk beds with extra headroom below to accommodate an adult. The full second bath has a tub with shower. There is a very pretty oak dining table with 1 leaf to accommodate 6-8 guests; a really good wood stove (wood provided); a Monitor heater; central A\C and heat, too. It has a delightful, covered front porch with wicker furniture and plants. Year-round, guests sit out there and they go nuts over it because the deer wander through, ravens and osprey and hummingbirds fly around and there is a pleasant bit of river view. Newly-added adult-sized cots also can be set up as bunk beds. And we have two great sleeping bags for kids! One is a racoon and the other is a dinosaur. Let us know if your kids are interested in them. We supply the deluxe pads and you bring the sleeping bags so 2 of you can sleep out on the porch or even alongside the river! You hear the river from the two front bedrooms, living room and porch. There is lots of room for fishing gear, including boats and trailers. There is a large gas BBQ and a Weber BBQ as well as a lovely teak outdoor table with chairs. Plus, just down the drive a short distance, Sow's Ear guests have full use of OUR patio over the river with dining set and fire pit (there are just two of us here and you won't feel overwhelmed). There's a hammock next to the river and comfy chairs and benches are sprinkled around on the river patio which we encourage guests to treat as theirs. Fish, swim and play with your dogs. Summer guests often tie large floatie toys to the trees and leave them on the water so they can sunbathe and swim from them. We have superb hiking on trails as close as right outside the door as well as a hard dirt road with almost zero traffic that's great for serious bikers who are looking for good offroad trails; many are accessed from this road. We welcome well-behaved dogs and have a pet fee of $15 per dog, per stay but they must be pre-approved. The pet fee can be paid when you're here. Let your dogs roam free but bring your bikes so you can keep up. All bedding, linens, towels, soaps and laundry needs are included. 1 roll of paper towels is provided so if you use a lot, bring a lot. There is a washer and dryer in Sow's Ear and the full kitchen has everything you could need. If not, we will loan it to you! The Smart TV has Netflix and Amazon Prime. Both offer an astounding array of movies and TV shows and make binge-watching a series very easy. There is no landline phone but fairly recent models of cell phones may be enabled to take and send calls and texts over the internet. Our internet service is great but do remember this isn't the city and it can't accommodate numerous streaming devices at once. (For 2019 we upgraded the internet service and removed some branches on the big pine tree out front that apparently were causing intermittent signal disturbances. Yippee!) We offer kayak, raft, cataraft and stand up paddleboard (SUP) rentals, lessons and guided trips. Our guided kayak trips include a thorough lesson before departure. We are very good at teaching and supply everything you need. The river has gentle meanders with some mild but still fun rapids; or you can paddle on Lewiston Lake, which is also stunning (wonderful birding: great blue herons, bald eagles, golden eagles, osprey & more; we often see them on our river trips, too). We prefer Lewiston Lake to Trinity Lake because it has a 10 MPH speed limit, resulting in a peaceful place to SUP, kayak with kids and dogs, and fish. All raft trips on the river are guided by us, but we can set you up with a good local guy for raft and inflatable kayak rentals if you prefer. We rent wonderful inflatable SUPs that you can carry in their backpack in a very small vehicle, then pump up at the lake. Our hard boards offer even more options for you! Pristine, stream-fed ponds just a few miles away provide warmer water than the river for swimming and are a nice option for families with small kids. All of our lessons are tailored to the individual and we are very good at this, never pushing you beyond your comfort zone, yet showing you how to expand it with our help. Michael Caranci of The Fly Shop in Redding says of our cabins: 'For sheer seclusion, access, and cozy, comfortable accommodations, the cabins at the Trinity River Adventure Cabins/Inn are certainly among the best.'
Bucktail is a delightful little community and kids and dogs can roam around safely. Deer wander through the yard daily. Hike right outside your door! Choose one of the easy hikes through Bucktail and over to the other side of the river, or for a more strenuous hike, guests can follow deer trails next to Sow's Ear, or follow very lightly-traveled Browns Mountain Road, which is hard-packed dirt, up into the mountains for miles.
  • We had a great stay at Heidi's place. Wonderful location close to the boat launches and across the river from Bucktail boat ramp. 2min drive to and from that launch. We will be back.

  • Terrific location! We saw river otters but no fish were biting. Still a terrific place to watch the sun set from the hot tub and listen to the river. LOVED having a robe to walk down to the tub in. Thank you!

    Catherine2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • I want to second what another guest mentioned about the kitchen - it is really equipped to be used! Thanks to Heidi and Steph for including spices and all the small things that are so often forgotten! This home has many small amenities that make a stay so much more enjoyable.

    Wendy2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this cabin exceeded our expectations for a family getaway! Heidi and Steph were the most helpful and accommodating hosts we've every met. When we asked if there would be a Christmas tree they went out and got us one! The kitchen had everything we needed including a variety of spices and condiments. The hot tub by the river was magical as was sitting by the fire pit! Lastly, Heidi and Steph are great to get to know. They are passionate about nature & the ocean and have some great stories! Thank you Heidi & Steph! We hope we'll be able to visit again I'm the summer but in the meantime, let us know if you want to visit us in Virginia! From Bob, Caroline, Justin, Kyle & Michelle Kuhfahl

  • Great place. Verrrry comfortable. Lots of extras. I love it when you don’t have to bring EVERYTHING for the kitchen. I have used Airbnb many times and was delighted by the simple pleasures of a SPICE RACK! This was only the beginning. I felt like I was at home with the EXTRAS. Thank you Heidi. It made for such a pleasurable stay.

    Chris2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect place to go and get away from the city. Its so quite you can hear the river running downstream all day long, beautiful scenery, lots of deer right in your front yard, chipmunks, and birds. Fully furnished home, the kitchen has everything you need to cook, bbq outside, hot tub wood burning stove, tv, and the owners are very friendly and down to earth people. It was so pleasant we stayed two extra days and didn’t want to leave. We definitely will be back. Thank you Steph and Heidi! ❤️

    Shannon2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Fish all day and then soak in the hot tub down by the river! Great hosts! seemed like super cool people

  • My family and I had an absolute blast. Steph and Heidi has the best hospitality in all the years we’ve been doing AirBnb. We are so happy we are with our experience with Sow’s Ear and our trip up to Lewiston. It is definitely one for the memory books. Hope to be back soon!

So quiet and peaceful at night, almost a dozen deer in the back yard daily and not too far from spots of interest and shopping should you forget anything. We will definitely be back! Great host, all the must-haves are provided. Big deck to relax on, and a nice calm spot in the river to enjoy. A+ property :)

  • Henrik’s place was perfect for my husband, me and our dog! THe dog run was a great place to let the dog roam. The deck was nice for coffee in the morning and sun bathing. We relaxed on the edge of the river with a couple chairs and also fished right out the back of the property. We floated on a couple of tubes and tied them to the bank to keep from floating away. The house had everything you need besides your food! We headed up to Lewiston lake and hiked around a little over 3 miles on the powerhouse hike. We grabbed lunch at the mountain valley grill, it was really good, I recommend their blackberry shake. One of the best trips we have had! Thanks again we will be back for sure!

This kitchen is suitable for large parties as the open floor plan flows into the dining and living rooms, and there is a wrap-around deck that overlooks Pearl Lake. There are three stories: On the first level there are two bedrooms, both with Queen beds, and a shared Jack and Jill bathroom with doors to close off shower/bath area. The second level has a fantastic master bedroom with a California King-sized bed and French doors leading to a deck with pristine lake views. The master bath has a wonderful jacuzzi tub and walk-in closet. The kitchen, dining and living rooms are located on this level. The living room features a three-sided, extra-comfy sectional couch that folds out into an additional Queen-sized bed. There is a rustic wood-burning stove that can easily heat the entire second level. A half-bath is on this level as well as a separate, private deck overlooking the front yard from the living room. The sunlit loft is located at the top of a spiral staircase. It has two single beds with room for sleeping bags and cots. This home is a dog haven! There are large, fenced dog areas off the back deck and a wooden dog house (although mine would never dream of sleeping outside). You can have your canines fenced with access into the house, or you can have them enclosed in the dog yard. From the wrap-around deck you'll have a full view of the lake. As you gaze down on the water while swaying firs and pines canopy above you, you will experience solitude and serenity. Walk straight down the stairs and onto a carpet of lush grass that ends at your own private lake inlet. Perfect for you, kids, and dogs. Swim out to the lake's island, or grab the canoe or rowboat and go fishing or exploring. The gazebo nestled at the lake's edge offers a most ideal setting for weddings and ceremonies, with a red bridge over the lake inlet as a walkway for picturesque moments! Also lakeside is an outdoor kitchen, fully equipped for large feasts with a stove and BBQ grill, commercial sink, fish cleaning station and fire pit for night time marshmallow roasts. Under the outdoor kitchen's covered pavilion you'll find ceiling fans, a sound system, and multiple picnic tables and chairs. Alongside the pavilion is an outdoor bathroom. This is a YEAR-ROUND fishing destination, beginner - advanced! It's also a great base-camp for hikes into the Trinity Alps Wilderness. Our caretaker is also a fisherman so if you have any questions, please ask! • FALL: Some of the best salmon fishing in California can be found on the Trinity River. • Amazing place, mini resort, the private lake is full of fish, Very serene and quiet. We all had a great time relaxing, and fishing

  • Monkey House is absolutely incredible! Sarah was very responsive and helpful. The house itself is very nice, with plenty of space for a group, and a great kitchen for big dinners. The highlight of Monkey House is the rest of the property: the lake is beautiful, there are large lawns for games, and the lower kitchen means you can stay and enjoy the outdoors all day. I can't recommend Monkey House highly enough.

    Zach2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • The home is beautiful. The photos don't even do it justice. There's a ton of open space both inside and outside, the view from the house is unreal and it's a fantastic place to get away. There's a small store 5 min away for emergency supplies and a city about 20 min away if you need more then basic essentials. The whole stay was wonderful and honestly we hope to rent this again some time in the future.

  • Incredible piece of land. Great for a large group. Cozy living room with an amazing wood stove. Super functional kitchen. Beautiful views. Would love to come again!

  • The monkey house visit was incredibly peaceful and serene. It's very secluded on a private lake with crystal clear water, eagles and deer. The cabin is perfectly appointed with all the plenty of room and all comforts of home. I can't say enough about how beautiful the grounds are. There's wide open spaces for family football games or for dogs to romp. I will absolutely visit again!

  • Awesome house in the woods and the mountains. If you love serenity and nature then the monkey house will be a great fit for you. And Linda was super easy to work with. Thanks Linda!

  • Robert was a great host. He kept us informed on weather conditions since we were going for Thanksgiving and it was snowing at the time, so it was very helpful. He met us at the cabin so he can get the place warm and toasty before we got there! I highly recommend Robert and his cabin and the beauty you'll find there! Thanks again! Cant wait to come back.

    Tanya2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved everything about our stay. Robert was super friendly and responsive, and the property was awesome — even nicer than suggested by the listing photos. Perfect for anyone who enjoys nature and outdoor activities or is just looking to hang out and relax.

    Dan2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a phenomenal vacation at Robert's cabin on the river. I almost hesitate to give it too much praise because I want it to be available for myself again. The location is everything; in the woods, on the river, off the highway, quiet, peaceful, private. The view out the kitchen, living room, and master bedroom windows, and off the back deck looking at the river, was captivating and a highlight. We were there for fishing season, and well past summer and early fall. Still we had fabulous weather during the day and were very cozy at night with the wood burning stove (all the wood we needed was chopped and ready for us). There are also some electric space heaters, but we didn't use them. Robert was an exceptional host and took the time to go through all the aspects of using his home when we arrived. He has done an amazing job bringing an old home up to date. Good appliances, nice shower, comfortably furnished and a super comfortable bed. He even has a weather station with a nice display inside. We were aware ahead of time, but it does help to know that the bathroom is not attached to the bedrooms. It is a walk across the house. It isn't a large house, so it isn't a long walk, but it isn't right next to you, and we had no issue with it. We were very happy to have WiFi in such a remote area, it wasn't even as slow as we had expected. Even in towns cell coverage was sparse, so the WiFi was important. This is a remote area, and we were there for hiking and fishing and were not disappointed. We were so grateful that Robert allowed us to bring our dog. She had the time of her life hiking and swimming. There are 3 nice dogs next door that came and visited every day. They seem to like Robert's river entry better than their own, and would go down for a swim and a roll in the grass. I would also add a special recommendation for the local restaurant The Cafe at Indian Creek. Very close to the home and we had a great dinner there.

This spacious and elegant riverfront cabin with 30' ceilings is ideal for fishing groups, families and everyone else who is looking for a wonderful spot in nature where they can explore & unwind. It features 2 unique sleeping lofts and one traditional bedroom, 2 baths, a large and well-appointed kitchen, big living room and a laundry/mud room. Fast, UNLIMITED Wi-Fi added Fall 2017.
Alpen Glow is a wonderful, pet-friendly cabin that has an extraordinary deck overlooking the river. The railings are see-through with stainless steel cable horizontals to optimize the view. The huge kitchen is fully appointed. Pretty much, if it doesn't have it, you don't need it. There is a large pantry with many basics. There is dining for 8-10 (if approved; Alpen Glow is priced for up to 7 guests). The large living room has 30-foot ceilings, an electric fireplace that provides pleasant heat and is stunning to watch, an extensive library, flat panel TV with Dish TV and DVD player with a large library of movies. The very large leather sectional features a recliner and a comfortable hide-a-bed, so extra guests can sleep there and not on the futon in the master loft, which gives everyone more privacy. Alpen Glow has Wi-Fi, cable TV and a (shared) land line phone with free long distance. Wi-Fi has been a stumbling block for us here because we've had limited suppliers and options but Fall 2017 we finally got access to unlimited fast streaming and we jumped immediately. The cabin has all kinds of sleeping areas, including two lofts (one is an enormous master loft with a CalKing bed and in-room Jacuzzi tub. Its closets are so large, we even put a twin bed in one of them). There is one traditional bedroom with a queen bed and a twin bed and the leather sectional in the living room has a queen hide-a-bed in it as well as room for another sleeper on the other side of the couch. Yes, it is THAT big! More details below: The lofts are open, but do not look on each other. The spacious Master Loft has a California King log bed with an organic memory foam topper, wood stove, Jacuzzi tub in room (not an outdoor hot tub; a bathing tub), queen futon and a private bath (toilet & shower; double vanity). The River Loft log bed looks out over the river, mountains and sky. The traditional bedroom on the main floor has a handsome wrought iron queen bed with pillowtop mattress and a twin bed. There's a mud room that's great for drying gear. The mud room has an additional pantry, washer and dryer, plus a deep sink. Alpen Glow has an enormous deck overlooking the Trinity River, mountains and trees. Year-round, this is a favored spot for guests. There is a shared BBQ patio on the upriver side of Alpen Glow, but the majority of the cabin focuses on the river and guests rarely see other cabins' guests unless they go out of their way. Birdsong is so abundant, it boggles the mind. There is salmon and trout fishing at the cabin, plus a swimming hole. Wonderful ponds nearby are warmer than the river in summer, and fun for calm water swimming and playing with your dogs. A log swing and comfy chairs are all around the 1.15 acre lot that is shared by 2 other cabins, each unique in its own right and private from each other, but close enough you can rent all for a large group, as many family reunions in summer and fishing groups in winter do. There are no other properties on the Trinity River that equal this location. It really does have everything.
Nothing beats staying right on the river, whether you fish, swim, play in it with your dogs, or just want to sit and look at it burbling past.
  • We stayed in the Alpen Cabin on the property. It is a nice two story structure with one private bedroom and an open loft upstairs. There is more than adequate sleeping space. The river view is serene. We stayed one night while in town for a basketball tournament. Our kids had an amazing time making memories to last a lifetime. If you are there to enjoy your surroundings in a peaceful and comfortable setting then book with Justin. He was very accommodating and responds quickly. We had the pleasure of meeting with the housekeeper as we arrived early to clean up before the first game. She is very pleasant and accommodating as well.

    Sherry2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Totally awesome and quick communication, which was super important because we booked Justin’s space last minute. Accommodating and beautiful, quiet and the perfect weekend getaway. Thank you!!

    Shahada2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely a great place to stay if you’re looking to be close to the river. The property is very nice and the cabin is perfect for medium-sized groups. Justin was extremely helpful and informative. We had everything we needed and more. Highly recommend!

  • Everything was just as described and was a great spot on the river for a relaxing weekend. Justin was a fantastic host and made our experience stress free and a lot of fun. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to get away.

  • Great place, would strongly recommend

    Robin2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is just amazing! Justin is so nice and accommodating. We would have loved to stay longer but, on this trip of ours, we scheduled to stay at every Airbnb we booked for two nights at a time. The pictures, especially of the backyard, doesn’t do it justice. We will definitely come back.

    Pamela2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Nice Vacation home Justin has. Spent relaxed vacation with friends and family. would recommend this house.

    Suresh2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • A true rustic cabin feel. The view is unbelievable with the rushing trinity river in the backyard. Justin was very accommodating and this place was perfect for our team retreat. I definitely will rebook in the future!

  • Our stay here was so comfortable! Set it a charming neighborhood of Lewiston, and a convenient jumping off point to explore the trinity alps. Beautiful apartment, extremely clean and cozy. We wished we had more time here to try pickle ball and pet the adorable llamas and horses! Highly recommend! I would absolutely choose Colleen’s place if ever in the area again.

    Hayley2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay during our hiking trip in the Trinity Alps. Very cute, cleanly, welcoming space with all the amenities we needed. Loved the pickleball. Loved meeting the llamas and horses. Hope to stay again in the future!

    Sarah2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I had a great time at Colleen’s place. My children had a blast running around the property playing with their cat. The horses were friendly and perhaps, the highlight of our stay. The studio with the addition of a extra bed...fit our family of four perfectly. Loved the details throughout and would love to visit again.

    Megan2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Colleen's place. We stayed in the studio over the garage which has a separate access. Her place had all the amenities that made our stay comfortable and fun. The location is quiet and surrounded by nature. Colleen gave us carrots that we gave as treats to her horses and llamas. We played pickleball with Colleen and her friend. It was our first time and we had a lot of fun! Colleen is a warm and friendly host. Super communicative. We are hoping to go back again, real soon.

    Radhika2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • The studio was sparkling clean, everything is new. Air conditioner worked well and kept us cool at night despite it being pretty warm outside. The host was very responsive and friendly. I’d stay here again if it’s available for my next trip to the area.

Cross a single lane bridge, down an unpaved private road to Rivergold Cottage. A cozy cottage for two on the Trinity River.
There are seven homes on our road, three are full time residents, the remainder are vacation homes. This is riverfront property, with a private beach for Rivergold guests.
We are 15 minutes from the historical town of Weaverville.
  • Our stay at Rivergold was great. The cottage was cozy and comfortable, and Claudia was very responsive and easy to coordinate with. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we extended our visit by a day, and wished we could have stayed even longer.
