Three bedroom, 1.5 bath ranch style home with full kitchen, living room and dining room. Attached garage, fenced backyard. A little over an hour from Rapid City and just 20 minutes from Badlands National Park. This is our extra house that we use when our kids are in high school in Kadoka, we have a ranch 35 miles outside of town. This home has a vintage farmhouse feel to it. It is very functional, very safe and super clean. Warm in the winter with baseboard radiant heating. Window air conditioning units in the summer. Perfect for a large family. Visit this website to view the Badlands National Park activity calendar. https://www.nps.gov/badl/planyourvisit/calendar.htm
This home has a casual, welcoming atmosphere. Curl up on the sofa or recliner in front of the electric fireplace to read a book or watch a movie. This home has a simplistic, vintage feel to it. Very functional, very cozy. Feels like home ❤
Very quiet, very safe small town neighborhood.
  • The place was perfect for the 2 of us and our furs kids.

  • What a great home away from home, especially while on a cross country road trip. The house is quiet, beds are comfortable, the kitchen was perfect for preparing breakfast, and the location so close to I-90 can’t be beat. We would definitely stay here again!

  • Our 2nd visit, a great place to call home as you travel through South Dakota. Everything you need, comfortable, clean and cute!

  • This place is a gem. Danielle responded promptly and gave detailed instructions. It's very cozy inside the house. We absolutely loved this place. It's also easy to find. If you are in the area, it's a solid find.

    Jacob2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was extended due to weather, but Danielle and her home were more than welcoming. We kept in communication as the storm approached and Danielle was patient as our plans became tumultuous. We had to stay another night for the snow to stop and we enjoyed staying in the warm cozy home, we had everything we needed and were able to grab a bite in town. My dog loved the snow and fenced in back yard. If I’m ever passing through again, I would stay here.

    Sam2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a nice and warm place with awesome view!

    Fujia2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • We are repeat customers of Danielle’s and we plan on coming back. The house was spotless, there was plenty of coffee to fuel our badlands hike, and my kids loved having their own beds! Comfortable, safe, reliable accommodations!! We will be back—hopefully next time with even more family.

    Santha2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a comfortable place to stay. The host was very quick to respond to any of our questions and the entire house was super clean. It felt like home during our 4 night stay.

Imagine viewing a land where sharply eroded buttes, pinnacles and spires are blended with the largest, protected mixed grass prairie in the United States. This extraordinary region is the Badlands, located in southwestern South Dakota, just 70 miles east of Rapid City. The best of these savagely beautiful badlands comprise the Badlands National Park, a unique region so ruthlessly ravaged by wind and water that has become a scenic wonderland.
The western prairie comes alive with the indigenous prairie dogs, bald eagles, antelope and bison roaming throughout the badlands region. You may even see a black-footed ferret, the most endangered land mammal in North America that is being reintroduced in the 64,000 acres of Badlands Wilderness Area. THE UNIT This 300sf unit features: - 1 Queen bed; - Daily housekeeping; - Coffee maker, Mini-fridge, microwave; - All linens, towels, bathroom essentials are provided. You don’t need to bring a thing!! THE PROPERTY Our family-friendly property provides the following on-site amenities: - Check in between 4 and 6pm; - On-site restaurant and bar; - Pet fee: $20/night; - Free parking for 1 car per unit.
Located 114 miles or 1.5 - 2 hours from Mount Rushmore National Memorial and only an hour from Rapid City. - Ben Reifel Visitor Center - 1.4 miles; - Cliff Shelf Nature Trailhead - 1.9 miles; - Saddle Pass Trailhead - 2.7 miles; - Rapid City, SD (RAP-Rapid City Regional) - 66.8 miles.

Our 1880 homestead cabin is a dry cabin with no electricity, bedding or running water. Please bring your own bedding, water and basic camping supplies along with firewood if you'd like a fire. Check in by 8pm mountain time.
This is the real deal folks. Just like the homesteaders slept during the westward movement in the 1880's, you too can experience what it's like to be a homesteader out on the prairie. Be like Laura Ingalls and let the song of the coyotes lull you to sleep. Our cabin sits miles away from any other building out on the edge of the White River in the South Dakota Badlands on our family run Circle View Guest Ranch. It's a genuine experience you'll never forget! Just a 6 mile drive to the main headquarters of Badlands National Park. Please reserve the cabin ONLY if you can arrive by our strictly enforced check-in time 4-8pm Mountain Time. It’s very important that you arrive at the ranch before dark in order to locate the cabin and get unpacked and settled before dark. The place can be tricky to find in the dark and can seem a bit daunting if you’re not able to see the area during daylight. If you have any concerns about not being able to arrive before dark, please consider other lodging options.
You'll be on the edge of the White River and can see the Badlands National Park! The best part? Not another human to be seen from the cabin!!
  • this place is so magical! simple amenities but a truly unique experience. cooking food over the fireplace/stove inside the cabin was so cool. and the stars!! also super close to the badlands. would highly recommend to anyone looking for something out of the ordinary.

  • Incredible property, incredible hosts, incredible breakfast... in a word... INCREDIBLE!!!

    Chelsea2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • it was so nice to stay in the homestead cabin and boy is it cozy with that wood burning stove! definitely bring a camping lantern, i forgot mine and only having a flashlight made it a lot harder to do things!!

  • Great experience! Fabulous breakfast in the morning. I’d recommend

    Matthew2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amy and Phil were terrific hosts for my two nights in The Badlands. I really enjoyed my evenings at The Homestead. In the quiet of the night under the stars or cooking over the open flame of the fire out our back... it was a rustic and unique experience that I will never forget. The rest of the property is also spectacular. Sitting on a plateau above the fields below with incredible sunrises and sunsets, chickens and a baby cow running about... it truly gives you an appreciation for the care they take of the land, and for the generations of family before them who’ve been caretakers to this beautiful property.

    Timothy2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The place was really just so beautiful. We very much enjoyed our time there. Make sure you find your way to the water at White Creek. It's a bit mucky and the current is quite strong, but it is also pretty shallow and very refreshing. My kids loved it. Also, the mosquitos didn't seem to like the water... so if you want to escape them, head to the creek. We are already making plans to return when it gets a bit cooler.

    Matthew2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Private, rustic, and beautiful views - it’s definitely a “homesteading” experience. Make sure you sign up to stay for the breakfast in the morning - it was amazing!

Near Badlands National Park and Minute Man Missile Historic Site this beautiful cabin was built by our family on our historic ranch. This is a stand alone property with open great room including living room area, dining area, fully furnished kitchen/laundry. There are three bedrooms, 2 baths, AC, TV, outdoor grill, firepit, and large open front porch for relaxing. It is surrounded by a generous fenced yard. Breakfast/dinners ($$) are available a mile down the road at the B & B.
Along the 8 mile county road from the highway to our ranch your will drive through vast portions of National Grasslands teeming with wildlife and enjoy open vistas boasting 360 degrees of blue sky. After the second Triangle Ranch sign the road curves down a gentle hill to find this gem of a cabin, tucked in your own private spot under the hill along a winding river where you may hike anywhere you wish.
20 minutes away, Badlands National Park offers scenic opportunities for hiking and wildlife photography. Rangers offer amazing night walks and Jr. Ranger programs. Cowboy Corner in Interior, SD serves yummy midday specials. 15 minutes south of the Badlands you may cross the White River to experience Native American culture on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. At the west end of the Badlands one should not miss the World-Famous Wall Drug Store, a colorful all-American experience. With rustic western history and art adorning every wall, you may find yourself leaving fitted in a pair of handmade western boots or at least eating a waffle cone piled high with homemade ice cream.
  • Awesome location! Right in the heart of where we wanted to be with plenty of space to stretch out at the end of each day!

    Jordan2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is a hidden gem in beautiful country. The amenities make living easy and the isolation provides precious time TO BE with your friends and family. Interested in your surroundings? Explore the Badlands and Wall nearby. Ask Lyndey, who continues to live and work on the ranch her family pioneered, and Kenny, her husband who continues in the cattle business and growing alfalfa, about their country life and places to visit.

    Rebecca2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful home in the middle of no where - but still fairly close to the sights! It was comfortable and had the space and amenities we wanted for our stay.

    Gina2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This ranch home is a true gem—tucked away yet close enough to the Badlands. My family loved it, and we will recommend to anyone planning a trip to the area.

    Jen2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This special cabin will transport you - nothing but natural beauty, fields, wildlife all around. Our family of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our visit and proximity to Wall and Badlands could not have been better. If you want to get away from your particular rat race- this is about as tranquil as you’ll get. The hosts are amazing and full of stories, too.

    lisa2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin and ranch exceeded our expectations and made for one of the most memorable vacations. We were in town to visit the Badlands and are so glad we found Triangle Ranch. Lynden and her daughter were incredibly accommodating hosts. We got a tour of the main house and property and learned a lot about their family history and history of the land. The cabin was beyond cozy, clean, and had all that you need for a great trip. We enjoyed cooking meals and eating them on the porch. The tranquility was like nothing we’d experienced. We enjoyed watching the cattle, and saw tons of wildlife.

Just 15 miles south of interstate 90 come stay with locals who've lived in the Badlands since the old days. Our ranch borders Badlands National Park just 6 miles to the main visitors center. The Bunkhouse sits high atop our butte overlooking the park where it's peaceful, quiet and has spectacular views in all directions. Rooms have a queen bed and are designed for the light traveler looking for clean, homey, no-fuss lodging in the Badlands. While this listing is for a queen room with a shared bath (no breakfast) we have several other lodging options here as well including rooms next door at the B&B sleeping up to 6 people, 2 pet-friendly modern cabins sleeping up to 6 people and an original 1880 homestead camping cabin. Please, no children under the age of 8 allowed at this listing. We do have family-friendly lodging elsewhere on the ranch, please just ask us!
Our ranch sits on the prairie of South Dakota with the Badlands as a backdrop. Come by and see why guests have fallen in love with the Circle View Guest Ranch since we opened in 2000.
  • Amy and Phil’s place was a gem in the midst of the Badlands. Sparkling clean, all the comforts of home, in a beautiful setting. We were provided fresh eggs for breakfast and visits with the farm animals. Amy is a wealth of information on the area attractions. Very convenient location to the Black Hills and Custer State Park. This is by far one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed at. Highly recommend!!!

    Carolyn2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect at Amy & Phil’s! Exactly as depicted in the description, but the views and experience exceeded all expectations. We weren’t able to try the famous breakfast as spoken about in other reviews, but Amy & Phil made up for it by leaving freshly laid eggs from the chicken coop that were absolutely delicious. We would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area. Amy & Phil were super clear with directions, great communicators before getting there, and gave good recommendations on where to get a quick dinner in the area. Truly a great place to stay that was so central to the badlands- highly recommend to anyone in the area that wants the full badlands experience!

    Kealy2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying here. The views from the patio ar sunset were amazing! I think the view was alot better than if you stay in the actual park. The ranch is only 6 miles from the visitor center so it was easy to get to the park. I'm glad I added the $13 breakfast as it was delicious. The Bunkhouse has a full kitchen with a stove and oven, which is good because there aren't many restaurant options nearby. I'd defiantely stay again.

    Katrina2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • This space was pet friendly and overlooking beautiful landscape. We also enjoyed getting to see the burros, chicken and calf at the ranch. Amy and Phil were very friendly and nice. It was a great experience, as it was our first time at the Badlands National Park and our accommodations put us right in the park. We will definitely come back in the future.

    Kelby2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing views and you can’t beat the location, practically in the park! Be sure and add the ranch breakfast, it was amazing. Definitely hope to come back again.

  • This place was spectacular! The view was a 360° dream! So beautiful! We spent a truly relaxing evening out on the porch just enjoying the glory of the white river. The animals were charming and lovely to observe milling about! The guesthouse was beautiful! A spacious place to be cozy and chill! Thanks guys for the stay!

    Rhiana2019-08-15T00:00:00Z

  • Phil and Amy’s ranch was just wonderful! The Badlands surrounding it made for the most spectacular sunset I have ever seen. So peaceful and quiet. Everything was spotlessly clean and neat. Breakfast was a home cooked feast with special touches like local honey and homemade granola. Highly recommend.

  • If you would like to experience the Badlands to the fullest, you will want to stay at B&B Circle View Ranch. Amy is an amazing host! She will go out of her way to make your stay the best it can be. The Ranch has amazing views of the Badlands which I don’t think you can beat anywhere else! I only wish we had more time to stay longer!

    Judy2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • A quaint, idyllic place at the top of a large plateau, overlooking the mountains and river. Perfect location, just a quick 10 minute drive to the Badlands. Amy & Phil and their kids where amazing hosts and the homemade, family style breakfast each morning was to die for. Would recommend in a heartbeat!

    Emma2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Amy and Phil were amazing hosts! I was originally booked for the homestead but Amy let me know the mosquitoes were awful out there due to the wet summer. She offered to rebook me in the bnb. So glad I did! The view was breathtaking and breakfast is a must if you stay with them. If you are staying in the badlands, their place is a must!

  • Amy and Phil's place is the perfect spot to stay if you're visiting Badlands National Park. Not only are they very close to (just down the road from) the park entrance, the views from their property are just stunning. We very much enjoyed our stay--Amy's homemade breakfast was an added bonus!

    Shelby2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • The ranch is stunning. We stayed just one night after visiting the Badlands and would have happily stayed a whole week to just take in the landscape and unwind. When we booked the Tree House Cabin we missed that the ranch was also a BNB so were pleasantly surprised with a delicious spread to enjoy before our long drive back to Minneapolis. As a lesbian couple we felt safe and welcome, and got lots of love from an orange cat who kept guard all night at our cabin.

  • We really enjoyed it! The property is beautiful and close to the Badlands. The farm-fresh eggs provided by Amy and Phil for breakfast didn't hurt either. Definitely would recommend this stay.

  • The Bunkhouse is perfect - clean, comfortable, and well-decorated on a beautiful ranch just outside the Badlands. The hosts are lovely and communicative, and the views from the window can't be beat. My room had a private bath, which was a welcome surprise. I'm looking forward to staying here again the next time I'm passing through.

  • Fantastic location overlooking hills and the river with Badlands in the distance. The ranch is idyllic. Worth getting the $13/pp breakfast as it’s a lovely experience eating and chatting with other guests and the food is great (we are vegetarian and were full and happy!).

  • We had a wonderful stay at the Circle View Ranch. It was very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. Amy, Phil and their family are wonderful hosts. The views were incredible in all directions - one evening, we brought back our chicken fried steak from Cowboy Corner and watched a lightening show from the porch. A great location with respect to the national park. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Badlands.

  • Circle View Ranch is the most amazing place! From gorgeous views, to amazing critters wandering around the farm- it was such a wonderful time. A perfect place close to the Badlands. I would stay here again for sure!

  • Absolutely a stunning place to stay with incredible views of both the Badlands and a lovely valley with a river. The place is located a few miles from Badlands National Park, a terrific place to explore which is absolutely worth a visit. GPS navigation was not at all helpful but Amy gave terrific instructions! The lodging was extremely clean, well-decorated, and comfortable. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to meet Amy and Phil, but Amy was super helpful and communicative. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area, and I would plan to spend more time exploring the farm!

  • Incredible place. Beautiful view from the top of the hill. Super short drive to Badlands National Park and the local animals are fun to watch and super nice. I highly suggest the breakfast. Best scones and pancakes I've ever had in my life. I would say if you are a mosquito magnet (like me) then come prepared but if you aren't (like my fiancee) you'll be fine.

  • Amy and Phil’s place is a great place to decompress, meet wonderful people, experience delicious breakfast and see the badlands. We wandered down to the river, viewed stars, listened to owls and coyotes, and occupied the balcony overlooking the white river. We thought we might be there too long but it was just perfect. We stayed 3 nights and it was the best thing we did!

    Maria2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a great stay here! We booked last minute instead of camping due to the weather and Amy contacted us right away. Very cute property close to Badlands with a great view. As mentioned in other reviews, the breakfast was great as well. Would stay here again.

    Amanda2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Circle View Ranch lived up to the hype! We had a lovely time and really enjoyed meeting the other guests, cuddling with the resident animals, and staring with the stars. We also appreciated Amy’s cooking skills, Phil’s stories (funny that we hadn’t inferred why Saddle Pass is called Saddle Pass until he told us about his dad bringing horses up that way!), and Katie’s friendly check-in. I especially enjoyed a sunset walk out to the monuments to Phil’s parents and would recommend this to all visitors. We would definitely recommend the bunkhouse to other AirBnB’ers. The one thing is that you should be friendly sorts and introduce yourself to the other guests. There are wonderful common spaces in the bunkhouse, including a big kitchen, cozy living room, and fabulous screened porch, so you can socialize or find your own nook. The only time the shared spaces were awkward was when some people we were sharing the bathroom with one night didn’t bother to say hello (in the hallway or parking area, not the bath, of course) and we were left feeling like we’d invaded their space. But that’s on them, not on the ranch. We’d love to come again!

  • If you are staying near the badlands this is the spot! Just a beautiful property, cute animals and an awesome family running this B&B. Do NOT miss the breakfast!!

    Jackie2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, beautiful views, and close to the Badlands NP entrance. We also liked the locks on the bedroom doors.

    Micah2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot recommend this ranch enough! Absolutely amazing views, wonderful rooms and the perfect location for spending time in the Badlands. Amy makes an incredible breakfast. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

  • I loved staying at the Circle View Ranch. It was so close to Badlands and other National Parks nearby. Check in was simple and the bunkhouse exceeded my expectations. The view from any direction was worth it alone. The animals were friendly and the breakfast was superb. This was a great treat for a solo traveler and I hope to be back.

    Mike2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a neat place to stay! Being able to walk the farm, and experience an incredible sunset was wonderful after a long drive! We also enjoyed chatting with fellow travelers that we shared the common spaces with. Only wish we were able to stay longer to enjoy the breakfast.

Come stay with friends high atop our butte on our working cattle ranch bordering Badlands National Park. The drive from the ranch to the main park headquarters is only 6 miles. We offer clean, casual lodging w/ private bathrooms, AC, game room, free WIFI and a full guest kitchen. The guesthouse has an amazing view of the Badlands and the White River Valley on our 3,000 acre ranch. Our family has been in the Badlands since the 1920's so come on out and meet the locals, you'll be glad you did!
We are on a working cattle ranch with oppertunities for guests to help with barn chores, feed the chickens, gather eggs and feed a bottle to a baby calf during the summer. Great place for families and children and anyone looking for an authentic experience while in South Dakota.
