First mentioned in 1311, it is one of the oldest properties in the village The guest suite (Müllerstube) is a self-contained apartment on the first floor of the house and can be locked separately. The house offers a small garden with seating and a grill. Bed linen is provided. The apartment has a kitchen, stove, oven is there. The apartment is centrally located, short walks to markets and beer gardens. Quiet and cozy, and clean. Not suitable for allergy sufferers.

We are located in the Südeichsfeld, a gentle low-mountain landscape. Nature and surroundings invite you to hike or cycle. Draisine riding, visiting castles, climbing forest, visiting the Worbis Bear Park or excursions to nearby half-timbered towns are popular excursion destinations.

Family Waldkauz's guest house in the middle of the forest

Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love it because of the heavenly tranquility, the gateway to the forest and yet only 20 km away from Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. Unless they are uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome to us and regularly feel very comfortable.
