Garden View Lodge, a fully-equipped house, can sleep 7. Located across the street from the Garden of Eden, a National Historic Site, in Lucas, Grassroots Art Capital of KS, & is 8 miles north of Wilson Lake in central Kansas. Please note: charge per additional guests.
Garden View Lodge is located in Lucas, Kansas, directly across the street from the Garden of Eden art site. Story has it that it was built for a son of the Garden's creator, Samuel Perry Dinsmoor, in the 1920s. It may have been a kit house that was delivered on the railroad. It's a neat, clean, and cozy house that has been well preserved, with a small town feel. While it is in the town, it reminds us of visiting our grandparents' farmhouse. Fully equipped house located in Lucas, Kansas, Grassroots Art Capital of Kansas and one of the 8 Wonders of Kansas. For those of you traveling on I-70, Lucas is 18 miles North of the Wilson exit. Just 8 miles from Wilson Lake, it's a great location for swimming, boating, fishing and hunting trips. You will have full access to the house and plenty of privacy. You can see the Garden of Eden across the street as well as the Miller's Park sculptures, and you can walk downtown in three short blocks. It's a quiet setting. Besides being the Grassroots Art Capital of Kansas, Lucas is also one of the 8 Wonders of Kansas. There is a lot to see in this tiny town. You could spend a full day touring all of the sites. The Lodge is close to the Garden of Eden, Miller's Park sculptures, the World's Largest Collection of the World's Smallest Things, Grassroots Art Center, Deeble House and Rock Garden, Post Office, liquor store, hardware store, library with an internet hotspot, convenience store/gas station with bait shop, restaurants, and a first-run movie theatre. This is a small town and most everything is closed by 10 pm, so please keep this in mind if arriving late (like for meals or gas). A recently added attraction is Bowl Plaza, a very original and highly decorated take on public restrooms! You can walk to all of these locations. For those of you who are general aviation pilots, the Lucas airport, 38K, is 1485 MSL. Its asphalt 17-35 runway is 2940 x 50 feet with constant overnight lighting. You can taxi to the adjacent gas station for unleaded gas. (No av fuel available.) We now have DIRECTV and a DVD player. Feel free to bring your own videos, or the library has videos for checkout. There's a wireless hotspot at the library, just south of the intersection of Second and Main Street, and most smartphones receive good service in the area. Many guests rely on bringing their laptops or tablets for entertainment. We have lawn chairs and a Weber grill available if you'd like to use the yard. Best of all, this is a quiet setting where you can enjoy a night's rest.
The street is wide, providing ample parking space even for those of you towing trailers. You may also park in the driveway. There is a fine view of the Garden of Eden, and shops and stores are nearby.

My place is a historic limestone building with a loft, located on my family farm. One mile away from the interstate and 6 miles north of Ellsworth, you’ll love its convenience as much as its coziness, history, and quaint charm. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers that are looking for a unique experience in the country that isn't too far off the beaten path. This is a private building near the main farmhouse with its own living space, kitchenette, bathroom, and loft bedroom (queen).
My place is a historic limestone building that was once used for farm operations and has recently been converted into living quarters. It is separate from the main farmhouse, so you'll have plenty of privacy. The building has a sitting area, loft bedroom, kitchenette, and bathroom.
My place is out in the country, though it is conveniently only a mile south of I-70 and 6 miles north of Ellsworth, between the two.
  • It's a great cozy cabin.

  • Love the saved building. The contractor did a superb job. Such a great spot to get a way and unwind.

  • Linda’s limestone cabin is a truly wonderful escape. It’s a cozy spot for two. It was the perfect getaway stay for my husband and I. We enjoyed the wood burning stove, the snacks she provided and the peaceful Kansas scenery. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting some rest & relaxation.

    Tara2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's Rock House is the most wonderful place. So many thoughtful touches in this beautifully restored and repurposed building. We spent a weekend away there, and absolutely loved reading and playing games in front of the fire. We hope to come back for a retreat again someday!

  • Erin & Doug & the farm will restore your faith in humanity. No joke. I booked their place as a convenient stop between St. Louis and Denver, and am now trying to figure out how I can make it a destination all its own in the future! From the superb dark night sky (I couldn't see any other lights from the porch) to them showing me how they milk the cows to the curious-and-eager-to-be-scratched goats, I can't tell you what was best...this place and these people are amazing!

    Claire2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Erin's farm location is a gem, nestled in a lovely valley. If desired, there are hills to hike, a secluded farm road to walk along, or just hang around the farm and interact with the cats, dogs and farm animals. The farm fresh breakfast was very good, with toast, coffee and farm fresh eggs from some of the many chickens running free outside. We enjoyed the interactions with our hosts and hope to return next summer.

    Robert2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • An incredible couple, amazing conversation, wonderful farm! If you find yourself in Kansas, do yourself a favor and stop in with these two wonderful human expressions!

    Katie2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Erin provides a lovely, comfortable guestroom and bath. Erin and her husband are great company! The welcome committee (Tika, Princess and Emmy, her precious dogs!) greets you when you arrive! We loved watching Emmy, her border collie, herd the goats! It's a great, quiet country getaway.

We are just outside of the Russell city limits where you have an amazing view of the sunrise and sunset. At night the deck is a perfect spot for star gazing. This rustic cabin used to be a milk barn in the 40's and has been turned into a cozy and quiet little get away. We are about 20 minutes away from Wilson lake, 7 minutes away from Russell, an hour from Salina, and 30 minutes from Hays.
The cabin sits on a 5 acres not too far away from the highway but just far away enough to be peaceful. There is usually wheat, milo, or corn growing out in the field with lots of wild life around. We have phesants, deer, and turkey that frequently pass through the property.
  • This place is fantastic!!! It’s open yet cozy, and warm and inviting. The bed was so comfortable. All the amenities you need. Farmland for miles and beautiful starry skies above. I was warmly greeted by farm cats when I pulled up, which was very cute! Hosts are very responsive and kind. I’ve already recommended to others! I only wish I could have stayed longer!

    Shana2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • If you pass up this cabin, you are missing out. This place is amazing! Cozy and comfortable plus the bed is so comfortable you don’t want to get out of it in the morning. Spacious bathroom with a separate shower and tub, plus a half bath in the loft so you don’t have to navigate the stairs in the middle of the night. Covered parking is a plus especially if it’s raining. There are so many positives I can’t list them all. Communication was phenomenal. The hosts are on top of things from the moment you book. I highly recommend the Cozy Cabin!

Missile Silo Eco-Adventure, sleeping under the stars! We love the outdoors, & what better way to experience life in the Smoky Hills of Kansas than primitive camping at a former Missile Base. Here we are repurposing an abandoned Missile Base into a Eco-Adventure Resort & Spa. Learn about the first rockets that brought us to the Space-Age. You will be sleeping above a decommissioned Atlas F Missile Base, and all profits from your stay will be donated to the Ad Astra STEAM Institute.
We are currently doing construction on the underground Missile Base and spend our weekends working and camping with our dog Buddy. Your stay will help fund this unique project. The property is located in the Smoky Hills of Kansas near Lake Wilson, with everything from fishing, hiking, biking, kite-boarding and more nearby. You will have 24 acres to roam, with walking paths going around the property, and several campsites to choose from for privacy or views. We encourage leave-no-trace hammock camping, though if you prefer to bring your own tent, tipi, yurt, hammock or just a sleeping roll feel free. This is primitive camping so come prepared for an adventure. The Ad Astra S.T.E.A.M. Institute is a nonprofit focused on designing disaster resilience into the home. We are building the nonprofits headquarters inside of a decommissioned underground Atlas F Missile Base. Here you will get to learn about Space-Age technologies which will produce fresh food, clean air, pure water, consistent energy, as well as health/medical systems all designed into the home. The Atlas F Missile Base was built in the late '50's and early '60's, activated in 1961 and, after a short operational period, were decommissioned in 1965. These were the first of the "super hardened" missile silos, built to withstand a nearby Nuclear blast. These are some of the most hardened structures man has ever built. Construction costs (structure only) range from $12-18 million in 1960's dollars; in today's equivalent, that would be over $100 Million dollars! General Layout & Features Launch Control Center (LCC) The LCC is a smaller cylindrical underground chamber with two stories. It housed the launch control center and the barracks. It was connected to the Missile Silo with a 40' tunnel. Today, this is the area that holds promise for development into a home or other usable space. Missile Silo The missile silo is a huge structure with a 52' inside diameter and is approximately 180' deep. The silo has three blast doors leading from the LCC. To launch the missile, two overhead 90-ton doors would be opened hydraulically. Originally, there were seven floors built inside the silo. Today, most of the Atlas F silos have been salvaged leaving only the structural walls. One way the silos are now being developed is to rebuild some or all of the floors. Each level would have approximately 2,000 square feet.
The Wilson community promotes itself as the "Czech Capital of Kansas" due to the role of Czech immigrant settlers in its early history. It also has the largest Czech Egg in the World. We are located in the Wind Belt of America, and are surrounded by a 250 MW windfarm. Lake Wilson is a 9,000 acre Army Corps of Engineers Reservoir. It is listed as one of the largest and cleanest lakes in the State of Kansas. Do to the consistent winds this Lake is a gem for sailing and kite-boarding enthusiast. Next to the lake are Epic rated bike trails, a couple beaches, and over 8,000 acres of wilderness open for hiking and hunting.
  • The biggest attraction is obviously the decommissioned Atlas missile base. The tour of that is worth the money by itself. Besides that, the property offers a fantastic place for camping. There's hiking and biking trails on property. Even more outdoor adventure to be had if you make your way a few minutes north to Lake Wilson. I absolutely loved hearing both the history of the site as well as Matthew's future plans. He's not just trying to improve his business, but all of humanity in the process. I look forward to bringing my family and my Boy Scout troop back to this property.

    Tyler2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • You must stop here to camp. Absolutely incredible. First of all, if you’re traveling, it’s right off I-70 and super convenient. Not only is it a great camping space, but the site is the location of an old underground missile silo and is truly impressive and special. Matthew showed us all around and my mouth dropped at this incredible property. The hosts, Matthew and Leigh Ann were fantastic and made everything easy and relaxed for us. We got there kind of late and they set up a tent in case we wanted to use that one instead of taking the time to set up our own - we happily obliged. Again, incredible space, super easy location, and a memorable experience!

    Kyle2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was the best night of our 5 day road trip along I-70! The property is gorgeous, with winding paths mowed throughout and surrounded by a huge wind farm. Matthew was accommodating with our changing arrival time and helped us set up camp. We chose a spot protected by pine trees from the wind a bit and faced the door east so we could watch the sunrise from our sleeping bags. Matthew gave a fascinating tour of the missal silo and Leigh Ann cooked us an amazing dinner (for a reasonable extra cost) as we watched the sun set. Then we swapped stories at a campfire on top of the missal silo. Would absolutely recommend!!

    Kelly2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Matthew was a great host. This was a unique experience that I highly reccomend.

    Gavin2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • I didn’t camp there but did a tour with Matthew. It was super informative and fun. Hope your plan all works out!

    Bowen2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place to both camp and experience cold war history. Matthew's cooking was top notch if you're looking to be served. Beautiful Wilson Lake is nearby for an extension of activities as is the small Czech community of Wilson.

    John2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved every aspect of this experience! And an experience it was! Matthew was absolutely amazing! We got held up in traffic and were going to be arriving after 10pm. When I told Matthew we were going to be late, he said that was not going to be a problem and he will even help us set up camp. When we arrived, Matthew and his dog Buddy were waiting for us with a big bond fire on top of the silo. He even gave us a tour of the inside the silo that night. This is a once in a lifetime experience and Matthew was a very hospitable host. We will definitely be back and cannot wait to see what Matthew is going to do with his property! Side note- I suggest taking a drive to Lake Wilson and The Garden of Eden in Lucus, KS. I am so glad Matthew suggested we check it out.

    Nicole2019-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Scout Troop 86 loved staying at the Silo. Matthew was a great host for our 29 boys and 13 adults. He provided a history lesson and tour of the silo control center and described his vision for the future of the site. We had a beautiful sunset and an amazing starry night away from light pollution. Several boys are ready to go back.

This is a cozy little private space located in a small Volga German community known for the St. Fidelis Catholic Church, or "The Cathedral of the Plains," built from 1908-1911. The parish was was declared a minor basilica in 2014 and is one of the "Eight Wonders of Kansas." Victoria is located approximately halfway between KC and Denver and just a mile from I-70. It's a great place to stay the night and still be able to ski the slopes of Colorado the next afternoon if that is your destination.
You have full access to this stand-alone apartment. It is an open design with plenty of room for a small family. The zero entry shower is a plus for all ages. Extra pillows, bedding and bath towels are available.
Victoria is a small, quiet community. There is one bar/restaurant in town. There is also one convenience store. However, we are located just 10 minutes from Hays which has a large number of eateries and shopping venues. Victoria is home to the "Cathedral of the Plains" and we highly recommend stopping in to view this beautiful church.
  • Kris’s space is awesome for anyone who need a place to relax and recharge. Quite neighborhood and interior is even better than pictures. Very clean and large TV is a plus. I would definitely stay her place again!

  • Nice, rustic, and comfy cabin in a beautiful location. Good place for a family getaway for weekend in a quiet town. We had a great time taking our dogs for a run around the farm fields and enjoying the outdoors. Joann was responsive and very helpful in getting the AC going and fans set up around the house before we arrived for our stay on a 105 deg summer day, which kept us comfortable during our stay.

  • The Mainstreet Loft is a favorite among my AirBNB stays. It’s so cozy and quite. I’m able to get work emails completed in a fabulous environment. It’s a must stay location!!

    Colin2019-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Second story loft-type accommodations that are comfortable and very roomy. Very clean, with a fully equipped kitchen. You have to climb relatively steep stairs to the entrance, so that should be a consideration for those with mobility issues. Otherwise, we were extremely satisfied with our stay.

  • Mary Ann's loft is very clean and organized. She is so hospitable and even greets you in person.

    Ben2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Mary Ann was absolutely wonderful! She accommodated our timeline which was greatly appreciated. I am a clean freak, and I was super impressed with the cleanliness of the apartment. It was extremely spacious, and being right above a coffee shop for our early mornings was definitely a plus. However, coffee options were provided in the apartment as well. The apartment had everything you would need for an extended stay and the grocery store is just a quick walk away! We were in town on business and we will definitely stay here again! I highly recommend this place!

    Kristin2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Mary Anne was very hospitable and met us with the key when we got to town after a long drive. Situated in Lincoln, Kansas, a very tiny town in close proximity to route 70. Place was much bigger and more luxurious than we thought it would be; great water pressure, kitchen is super spacious, there were even some snacks and drinks in the fridge. Thanks mary ann!

    Amanda2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Downtown Lincoln is very charming. The loft is lovely. There was plenty of room for five of us to spread out. Mary Ann met us at check - in and gave tips for eating as well as things to do around town. We loved our stay in Lincoln and definitely want to come back!

  • The Loft was lovely...sparkling clean, spacious, comfortable, and unique in its historic charm. It had everything one might need. Mary Ann corresponded promptly and welcomed us to the space in person. We enjoyed our stay here and had fun exploring the quaint and friendly towns of Lincoln and Lucas.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Shady Grove! Kip and Mary were great hosts. They were extremely quick to respond, made the check-in and checkout process very simple, and made sure we had what we needed ahead of time. We were busy over the holiday weekend, so their added touch of muffins and orange juice in the refrigerator were a pleasant surprise! It was a cute, cozy cabin with themed decor, toiletries, extra towels and warm bedding. The bed was comfortable and heating unit worked great during those cold winter nights. Very private setting. It's basic but comfortable. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or invite friends/family to lodge here on future trips, as it met our lodging needs. We wish them success on their new endeavor!

Comfortable farm house with what is termed by local interior decorator as early grandma decor. Quiet, away from everything. Brilliant star gazing. Lots of room for hiking, dirt biking. Lots of local agricultural activity to observe.
  • Great escape from the stresses of life, this farm was perfect for the restful time we needed. We were attending a local funeral and Douglas’ hospitality was a gift. Delicious homemade cookies and a warm house greeted us. The place was spotless and had plenty of sleeping and play space. There were even some toys for our toddler! The whole family came to visit and enjoyed exploring the land and playing in the front yard. Everyone commented how nice the house was. Would definitely stay again though maybe next time for a happier occasion like some bird hunting!

    Jeff2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • With my young nephews and niece (14, 12 and 6), I was looking for something that could satisfy each of their interests while bringing us all to be together without the trappings of regular hotel life. There is much to admire and explore on this historic property; and the owners have packed the house with classic games, books and movies (the collection of VHS tapes, in particular, made me oh-so-happy). We enjoyed ourselves immensely. We unplugged, played on the swing, spotted constellations, cooked a family dinner and ate outside. It is a hike to get there, to be sure, but we met Doug at the Alton post office and drove out together. The resulting quietude, sunflowers and rolling hills made my morning coffee a memory to cherish.

    Ryan2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a cute place. It's very far off the highway, but if you have time to wander, it's very worth it. Just a simple farmhouse on some beautiful Kansas farmland. Doug, the owner, will meet you in town to personally escort you to your home away from home. When we arrived we found fresh cookies and iced tea. Soooo yummy! The house was perfectly clean and felt like going to Grandma's. It felt very nostalgic. I loved day dreaming about all the meals cooked in the kitchen where my husband made us dinner. I could almost hear the echo of all the little feet that passed over the hardwood floor to fly out the backdoor to play in the yard!

    Amber2019-07-16T00:00:00Z

  • I can't imagine better hosts than Dustin and Raef. Their attention to detail is amazing. The Mahoney house is beautifully decorated and so cozy and comfortable that we didn't want to leave.

    Dan2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Mahoney House was amazing as always! Dustin and Raef go above and beyond to make their house clean and homey! We always love staying here and this was no exception! Thank you again!

    Erin2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • We hosted a family Christmas here. It was one of the best holidays in a long time! Dustin and Raef are quick to respond and easy to communicate with. Our family is already talking about future stays. I would highly recommended!!

    Nathan2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fellow travelers you can set your expectations high when you make Mahoney House your Airbnb pick and you are likely still underestimating your stay in this home. I looked for a second pillow for my comfortable King bed and found, in the closet, a labeled “pillow menu” to choose from. Who does that other than a host who hopes your stay is everything you could want it to be. Too much good stuff going on to put it to words. Just book it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

    Karin2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Always a lovely stay!! The Mahoney House is “like home”. We love getting together to quilt & make memories. Ladies in our family from 47 yrs old - 89 yrs old. Thank you for always exceeding amazing with hospitality & special blessings! We will be back for Round #4! ❤️

    Kendra2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! Exceeded expectations!

    Sasha2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • I can't imagine another place that has all the beauty and welcoming touches that this home incorporates. Truly a wonderful place to relax and enjoy!!!

  • This house is darling and perfect for our family of five staying the weekend in the area. The house is as cute as its pictures, full of personal touches and great character. we listened to records and enjoyed the space thoroughly. Access to the well-kept walking trails made our stay even better. Joe is a great host and made us feel so well taken care of. We can’t wait to go back.

    Sarah2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Joe is a great host and was quick to respond to questions via text. The home was clean, well stocked with breakfast goodies, and in a good location for what we wanted to see in Victoria and Hays Kansas.

14x76 single wide trailer house complete with two bedrooms, one bath, full kitchen and living room. Washer/Dryer, dishwasher and many other appliances available.
Located just blocks away from beautiful Waconda Lake and Glen Elder State Park and just one block from the local general store and gun shop, "Outdoor Memories".
My residence is located one block off the town square and city park. Walking distance to about anywhere in town, including the boat shop, general store, etc.
  • Jeff's place is comfortable, easy to locate and feels like a family home compared to an impersonal hotel room. The bedrooms were well appointed and mattresses were such a comfort after 12 hours traveling. Would 100% recommend and revisit in the future.

  • We really enjoyed our stay here! The hosts were super friendly, accommodating with our dog, able to process our request last minute, made great recommendations for local businesses, and exceeded all expectations with the cabin itself. Both hosts greeted us as we arrived and walked us through the space. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who needs a place to stay for a night (or more) in the area.

This is your chance to spend the time you've wanted hunting or birding near the Internationally Significant Cheyenne Bottoms in Central Kansas. After 10 years of hosting hunters and birders from around the country (and Europe), we did not renew our lodging license for the Lodge Micro Motel -- the property is currently For Sale. As owner I've decided to allow +3 week / monthly leases (and require the purchaser to honor such) through Winter 2019. If you are a serious hunter or birder jump on this!
The old power and light building was converted in 2008 to 4 suites. Lots of beds, ranges, refrigerators, microwaves through-out. Live edge slab tables and leather chairs appoint the suites. A full size washer and dryer is available for you to launder linens and towels that are provided. WiFi, Cable TV, and other amenities can be switched on.

  • A beautiful, quite get away that is cozy and spotless! The hostesses work hard to make this farm home the perfect experience!

    Jeanne2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The lodge is a lovely home convenient to Ellsworth and other small towns in the area where my extended family was able to stretch out and enjoy some time together over the holidays. Three families fit here comfortably. Rita was a great host for us in that she was a quick communicator and very welcoming. Though it was rainy while we were in town the outdoor space offers a chance to run around (adults and kids alike) and get some fresh air. An added festive bonus for us was that the inside of the house was decorated for the holidays. Thank you, Rita, for a great place to call home for a few nights! We'd love to return someday.

    Liz2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This home right outside of Ellsworth was perfect for our family to stay under the same roof while visiting extended family. The home itself if incredibly clean and very comfortable. Rita was also a fabulous host with quick and easy communication. We'll definitely be back!

This cabin is in a group of cabins that are the last roadside tourist cabins from the 1930’s. In Kansas. They have been completely renovated all with different themes. We are located in North Central Kansas six miles from Waconda Lake 12,500 acres of water and 13,000 acres of surrounding wildlife habitat. Miles of county gravel roads for riding bikes, horses, and hiking. We have parking for boats, horse trailers, and motorhomes on our adjacent 1.5 acre “Shady Grove”.
We have BBQ grills for guest use. We are pet friendly with prior notice. Our 2.1 acres are open for our guests to enjoy.
Small midwest quiet town near lakes, wildlife areas, flint hills.
  • WONDERFUL quiet little cabin and absolutely spotless.

  • Lovely little cabins! Host accommodated our late check in.

    Mary2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Kip's place is everything you hope it's going to be. We stayed in the Biker cabin, which was adorably retro. The AC worked great, and the whole place was spotless. I have a feeling we'll be stopping here plenty of times in the future on our trips between Denver and KC - it's pretty much right in the middle.

    Jamie2019-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Kip and his wife were great hosts. We came in town for a wedding nearby and they are one of the few B&B’s in the region. Kip was always extremely quick to reply and was very flexible with our check in and check out, which is exactly what we needed. Stay in their cabins and you will be spared from the overpriced flea-bag motels around the area!

    Jacob2019-04-21T00:00:00Z

The LaSada Lodge is the PERFECT place to relax and unwind. Are you looking for a romantic getaway? Then LaSada Lodge is what you are looking for. Each room is uniquely decorated and appointed. The upper floor reflects a country colonial style, with textured hardboard siding, corrugated tin and exposed beams. The main floor has a modern contemporary feel, yet still reflects the rich history of the former working dairy barn, which was built in 1898 from native limestone.
  • Very nice room with a comfortable bed. Shared a bathroom, but no one else was there. Entire place was very clean. There was an awesome hot tub we were able to take advantage of too. We would definitely stay again.

We do accept pets as well. If you do have a pet, please let us know when you book a room with us. There is a $25 nonrefundable pet deposit you do have to pay. • I love staying at the historic Midland railroad hotel. The town is so quaint and peaceful. And this time I had time to check out Wilson lake. We really enjoyed ourselves.

    Denise2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here overnight on a road trip through Kansas. The hotel is convenient from I-70 and has a lot of charm. Our room was cozy and clean, and we were right at the top of the stairs. If you are a light sleeper, I recommend bringing along earplugs and something to cover your eyes. It is an old hotel by a railroad track (part of the charm), so don't expect it to be quiet. My husband and I were both awakened by the 4:30am train which sounded like it was about to run us over. Despite the surprise awakening, we enjoyed watching it through our window. There is also a town-wide alarm that sounds at 7am. Breakfast had both hot and cold options and was ready early. It was a fun and comfortable stay!

    Brittany2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay. Clean, comfortable, and rich in history.

    Janice2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • A different experience, rooms was small but was very clean. The restaurant was swesome, best cheeseburger ever.

    Tina2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to break up the drudgery of Highway 70! The hotel is comfortable, clean, and unique!

    Julianne2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a great place to crash on the wide expanse that is I-70, set your sights on this little gem! Charming historic hotel nestled in a quaint KS farm community. We had driven from Leadville, CO and we’re pretty tired and hungry when got in to Wilson. We happy the tavern downstairs was still serving dinner, and we were elated when we were enjoying it. Delicious! And they serve some of my favorite local beers from KC (my hometown) and Lawrence. Overall, excellent place to stay for those who get weirded out by gross hotel chains off I-70. This place is squeaky clean. Highly recommend!

    Christin2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at this cool historic railroad hotel that has been beautifully restored. It's fun to walk around the sleepy downtown and look at the Czech egg sculptures and convenient for a visit to the outsider art in Lucas, Kansas.

    Lisa2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Surprising place to stay. We needed a place between CO and MO. So, a stop in Wilson was convenient. Building was built in the 1890's and they've added plumbing and electricity along with an elevator but the decor looks like original that has been kept up. If you are passing along I-70 and like unique little towns, this is a great place. Quaint little town to walk around and see the Czech eggs that decorate this village. Enjoy.

  • Ethan was very friendly and was available as soon as I arrived with short notice. The lodge was very clean and looked brand new. The couches were very comfy and it was fun to watch TV on the big screen in the lounge area. There's also a nice area in the back to walk around in.

    David2019-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic place to stay, I am so glad we found this hidden gem. The owners are very nice and friendly. The breakfast was amazing, home cooked and plenty! We came with two teenage boys and they were not hungry again for hours, which is always nice! Our family would definitely stay again. If you get up early you can watch the deer as they walk thru the yard, I think we saw at least a dozen over the two day stay.
