Our home is our castle. A spacious house nestled in an acre of quiet, secluded and stunning Scottish countryside. The perfect venue for a family Christmas celebration, a gathering of friends ... PLEASE BE AWARE THAT INTERNET ACCESS IS NOT AVAILABLE AT OUR HOUSE DUE TO ITS RURAL SETTING.
If you desire a peaceful retreat in the beautiful Scottish countryside, you've found it. Woodcorner was built in the Scottish baronial style and sits nestled into the corner of a wood, close to the River Don. The house is bright, spacious and modern - designed for ultimate comfort. Our house has its own private water supply from a natural spring. During your stay, as an added bonus, you will enjoy sweet and pure Scottish water.
Donside is a truly beautiful example of Scottish countryside. Must be seen to be appreciated. Within a 30 minute drive you can also explore Royal Deeside with all its history and beauty.
  • Fantastic venue for a relaxing break with family and plenty to do in nearby Alford. A real hidden gem in the north east .

  • The house is just as stunning as the photos suggest. It is very light and airy but really cosy too. We had a fantastic time. I withdrew highly recommend it.

  • Brilliant weekend! Would definitely stay again, highly recommend

    Arianna2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here over one weekend (8 adults and 3 kids) and had a great time. The house was spotless and extremely well equipped. We spent most of the weekend actually in the house and gardens, the games and pool table keeping the adults occupied, the kids were happy running around and playing hide and seek. We were delayed in getting there but that was no problem and communication was great throughout. It's a beautiful house and my wife loved the master bedroom with the four-poster bed and stunning windows overlooking the garden and woods behind the house. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here and we've already been talking about staying here as a family again.

Modern, bright, self-contained, fully equipped studio located in annexe to main building with private entrance. Kitchen, en suite shower room, Tv. Wi-Fi. 15m from Airport not on flight path, 6.5 m to Aberdeen City. Quiet at night. Forest on your foorstep. Parking for 2 cars. A "Gateway to the Highlands; " on the whisky & castle trails. Beaches nearby, eateries near. Private Family Hot tub with integral music facility / in a log cabin hire at 8.50 per hour with small bar area.
A spacious and bright studio, in annexe attached to main house with double patio doors leading out to the garden and adjacent Forest. We're easily accessed of the main A96 arterial road. Hot tub chalet nestling under the trees for separate hire. Easy access by car to all local amenities and road links to the highlands and a wealth of tourist attractions locally and beyond. We hope you will not be disappointed.
The Gateway to the Highlands. The neighbourhood is rural. The apartment is on the outer edge of a small hamlet of 4 steadings none of which look onto us. We share a drive for access purposes only. The apartment is surrounded by trees and we often see red squirrel and deer. Sometimes a fox might saunter by looking for the rabbits! The private hot tub which is used solely for guests who hire it and us separately nestles under the trees. On our doorstep are some beautiful forest walks. The beaches start at Aberdeen and extend northwards to Balmedie which has family BBQ pits for use free of charge then on to Newburgh and the nature reserve with seal colony having literally hundreds of seals basking on the edges of the Ythan. Southwards is Stonehaven with its fabulous harbour and local pubs. Further afield is Royal Deeside, Ballater and Balmoral. Whiskey distilleries, the highlands and Inverness. It's a beautiful area. We have an abundance of Castles including Dunnotter where MacBeth was filmed, the Whiskey trail, beautiful buildings in Aberdeen including Aberdeen University and much more. So many pubs, restaurants and shopping facilities in the City of Aberdeen you wont get bored. There is the harbour too with its heavy emphasis on the oil industry and large ships as a result. Inverness less than 100 miles away with on route Johnstones of Elgin for cashmere and Baxters foods with famous freshly cooked pancakes. Glasgow and Edinburgh a couple of hours on the train, a bit longer by road. So much to do and see. So many variations of terrain around this area which in turn attract dolphins which are often seen around and about. If you like golfing apart from the numerous courses there is Trump International Golf Links just outside Aberdeen City which for golfers is a must. Endless opportunity to enjoy your stay.
  • Unreal place, stunnin scenery and lovely walks and drives nearby, near Aberdeen centre too!

The property is conveniently located to the city centre, train station, retail park, pubs and restaurants. The property is within a four flat tenement block where residents can make use of a communal garden. The street is very quiet and is at the opposite end of the Main Street.
The property boasts a large modern integrated kitchen with plenty room for up to 4 guests to comfortably move around. Both bedrooms have double door wardrobes with extra bedding and towels. The lounge has a wall mounted TV with NowTv so guests can login to their netflix, sky or Amazon prime (etc) accounts and pick up from where they last left off. The bathroom is all fully aqua panelled for ease of hygiene, complimentary soaps provided to covert the first few days of guests stay. Superfast Wifi is complementary.
The street is one of Inverurie’s oldest streets, situated next to the historic former Inverurie Loco Works where the locomotives of a number of Steam Engines were made including the Gordon Highlander which our local Wetherspoons is named after. The train station is only a 10 minute walk away to access both North and South Journeys to Inverness or Aberdeen and afar.
  • This is a great value for money location. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Very convenient for North East tourism.

A cute, cosy little flat in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. It is perfect for couples, solo travelers and I especially welcome your four legged friends.
A small, neatly preaented space with an open plan living room/kitchen and bedroom. There is a double bed in bedroom and a pull-out sofa bed in living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for preparing meals.
Inverurie is a small market town, 16 miles from Aberdeen. It has lots of local shops, restaurants and other activities nearby. It is a beautiful area with Bennachie hill overlooking. I live in a quiet, residential area which has a supermarket, pharmacy, play area, sport centre and chip shop all in walking distance.
  • Another great stay at Jenna’s place. Will definitely return.

  • Jenna's place was clean and as described. Self check-in and out was easy and convenient. The flat is small but comfortable enough for a few days' stay.

    Hege2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great value, good location, comfortable stay with nice decor and furnishings.

    Derek2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely clean flat, just make sure to let the host know that you are going to use the sofa bed so that a second quilt is there for you. Also be aware that the living room and kitchen are open plan. I had not realized until I got there, it is only an issue if you are a light sleeper and are on the sofa bed as the fridge can be annoying.

    Pamela2019-10-16T00:00:00Z

Located in the heart of Scotland, close to a host of Castles and traditional culture. Close to the road that starts the journey to Balmoral, and Speyside whisky distilleries. A great local village with a host of amenities, but small enough to maintain a quality village life. There is a large car park adjacent to the property, with free 24/7 parking. Host happy to provide information on whats local, and information on routes to attractions close by.
Guests can have minimal access to family kitchen to prepare light snack, use of microwave, toaster and access to small fridge specific for guest use. Dining/sitting room for guests to have access too eat breakfast.
Hotels, Indian/chinese/fish & chips, variety of shops/baker/butcher/library and local gym. Walks at fetternear estate and along the lovely River Don. There is local golf course and bowling green. 5 minute journey from Castle Fraser, where there is walks, gardens, tea room and shop with local crafts.
  • We had a great stay. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed. Quiet house in a good location. We had a late night due to a birthday party and Xena held back from doing her weekend cleaning chores until we had surfaced which was very thoughtful. She also has a lovely little doggie.

We are a happy, easy going couple who arrived at Andrewsford ten years ago when it was undoubtedly a large traditional farmhouse which are renowned for being cold, draughty and expensive to run. Not any more! We have stripped the property internally to re-plumb, re-wire, insulate and upgrade the heating system to Underfloor Heating in most rooms downstairs. The result is a warm, cosy and characterful home. Since the kids have flown the nest it is a very large house for two people to rattle around in so we welcome you with open arms. The house retains a lot of its original character, with open fireplaces in the lounge and entertainment room and we enjoy amazing sunrise and sunsets. The house is surrounded by wild Rabbits, Pheasant, Partridge, Ducks, Deer and Wild Geese in autumn to winter. A joy to watch from a distance. There is a wee dinghy also available on the pond with oars for the more adventurous to get into the nature side. We keep Chickens and Pigs for pets. The Chickens provide us with free-range eggs and the pigs, namely "Salt & Pepper" are the best ground clearance machines known to mankind. NONE of the pets are edible!! Bedrooms - The bedrooms vary from large to sufficient and are all equipped with a comfortable double bed and pillows, new carpets, bedside tables and lamps. Wardrobe and Chest of drawer complete the room. The largest room has views of the main garden where the other three have views of the morning sunrise. We have a TV licence so if you wish to log onto Netflix or TV by Wi-Fi while cuddled up in bed, feel free! Note - Double bed rooms can be re-arranged for single beds if required by prior request. Bathroom - (John and Alison have a separate bathroom facility so to cut down the traffic the 1st floor bathroom is solely for the use of our guests) The Bathroom is equipped with heating radiator, Fan Heater for the cold blooded, sink, loo and cast iron bath with hi-flow power shower above. Downstairs conceals another lavatory under the stairs to save running up and down the stairs in cases of emergency! Car parking - This is no problem with more than sufficient spaces near the front door. Laundry & Drying - All Linen and towels are provided and you can use the Washing Machine and Tumble Drier for stays more than 5 days. Note - we do not request a "Cleaning Charge" for bedsheet change each Friday and replacement towels every 3rd day unless requested otherwise. If you should require more than this please advise prior to booking as there would be an additional charge. Wet clothes can be placed in the laundry overnight to dry out and wet boots can be left in the warm back porch to dry overnight BBQ's - Should you wish to have a BBQ in the evening or at weekends we can provide you with the BBQ or Smoker units and simply request that you provide the charcoal, tidy up and clean out the units on completion. Early Check-in can be accommodated by prior arrangement but otherwise must be after 3pm. Nearest Towns and Cities; In order of proximity we have access to the following - Fyvie (1.8m) - paste this link into your browser (URL HIDDEN) Oldmeldrum (7m) -paste this path into your browser (fyi - locals call it Meldrum!) (URL HIDDEN) Turriff (8m) - paste this path into your browser (URL HIDDEN) -Inverurie - Paste this path into your browser (URL HIDDEN) The town of Inverurie is 12 miles by road and is a market town with a monthly Farmer's Market, many small shops and a choice of eating establishments including a French Cheese shop ran by a Frenchman surprise surprise which is called the Kilted Frog! There is a variety of shopping outlets, DIY, Hardware, Furniture Craft etc. If you don't find what you are after there you could hop on the train which will take you to the City of Aberdeen, The Grey City. - City of Aberdeen - (25m) - Paste this path into your browser (URL HIDDEN) Contains Theatres, Cinema's, Surfing Beach, Museums, Music Halls, Seafront Amusement Park, Bowling and the list goes on. Peterhead, Fraserburgh, Gardenstown, McDuff, Banff, Portsoy: I would estimate all within a 25m radius from Andrewsford. All on the seafront along the East to North coast of Aberdeenshire and adjacent counties. They all have sights well worth a view and worth a (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) in your spare time or while travelling. - Inverness (2.5hrs drive)- Paste this path into your browser (URL HIDDEN) In 2014, a survey by a property website described Inverness as the happiest place in Scotland and the second happiest in the UK. Inverness was again found to be the happiest place in Scotland by a new study conducted in 2015. Nearby Attractions and Visitor Trails: Andrewsford is well positioned for easy access to: - The Castle Trail - with several impressive castles within a 30 minute drive. - Archeological Sites - Turrif once housed the Knights Templar, whilst at other locations you will find several ancient stone circles, a Castle from the 12th Century, historical bridges and buildings. Distillery Trails - Apart from the nearest distillery in Meldrum, (visitor centre open by prior booking several times a week) which also claims to be the oldest, Glen Garioch you could join a "Whisky Trail" coach tour so you can sample the delights at each distillery unless you have a driver with you in which case you are not far from Andrewsford to several fine distilleries and highland towns?
The Neighbourhood is a good natured farming community intermixed with Equestrians and small businesses. The local dialect is Doric but they will revert to sentences which even the English will understand. The community is interspersed with inhabitants of other parts of Scotland, The Islands, Shetlands, Orkney as well as the occasional Kiwi, Irishman, French and Aberdonians.
  • The place is a haven for peace and serenity! So loved the birds, chickens, baby chicks, lots of wild rabbits and the pigs! Alison is an amazing hostess and made us feel very welcome! If you want a peaceful place to stay just go and turn your cell phone and electronic equipment off and enjoy! Oh yes, the breakfast was deliciously prepared!! Idea stay at this place anytime!!

  • Best place to stay in the area. Modern, very clean & cosy 2 bedroom cottage with fast wireless internet & three smart TVs. All mod cons. The beds were super comfortable, and rooms were much larger than expected, especially the lounge area, which wasn't pictured. The host was great and had even arranged a cot and high chair for our baby which was much appreciated.

  • Xena’s place was really clean, bed and pillows were very comfortable. She was helpful and also had tea and cereal to offer. Would definitely recommend!

    Diane2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The advert for this stay is pretty accurate and deserves the praise given. It was clean, tidy, comfortable and quiet. The house is only 8 years old and looks new. Just squeaky floor boards in the bedroom, but seriously, this is being picky. Hopefully the misunderstanding that it is not a B&B will change in the advert but Xena was prepared to offer cereal, tea and coffee was available. There is a convenient farm shop across the road which provides a breakfast. At the cost it certainly represents good value. You are restricted to booking in after 6pm to 10pm but this suited our plans fine.

  • Xena's place is great, clean, comfortable, great location & superb value for money would stay again!

    Robbie2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Xena is a fabulous host and the room is absolutely gorgeous. The whole house is amazing and sparkling clean and nothing seemed to be a problem for Xena. She was particularly considerate towards my 90 years old mum, which was very much appreciated. I cannot recommend it enough... fantastic place, I will return.

If you love living in the countryside yet a short drive to the city, Springbank Cabin is for you... a unique design cosy cabin at the Back o' Bennachie. It is an ideal base for many types of breaks: Castle, Whisky Trail Walking Local History Wild Life Galleries Wedding guests Working Across the road is Li'l C's, the award-winning American Diner. I look forward to meeting you and ensuring you are enjoying your stay. I will be available to advise and answer any questions.
Springbank is in a peaceful small hamlet off the B9002. As my guests you will have plenty space to relax in and make yourselves at home. When the weather turns warm, there is a quaint cottage garden with picnic table for al fresco dining.
Bogandy is a small hamlet of 8 properties tucked into the countryside at the Back o' Bennachie. The Gadie Burn runs through here as described in the old Folk Song. Recently, historical research points to the fact that the Battle of Mons Graupius was fought within a stone's throw of the cottage in A.D. 83. If you are interested in Scottish History, this is for you! I have many books and booklets to help my guests get the most out the culture, arts and folklore of this fascinating and often overlooked corner of Scotland. At the back of Springbank is a small hill called Parnassus. Here you will find deer, badger sets, red squirrels, a cunning fox and many species of wild flower, some rare. At the front sits Bennachie with its 5 main peaks which can be conquered in a day (medium grade) or you can follow the entire Gordon Way (tougher in places).
  • A quirky accommodation with a loft bed that helps promote a “chilled environment”. The hostess was attentive, the property was clean and I would highly recommend it.

  • We stayed one night at D's place and loved it. D is a wonderul host, very informative and helpful. The Chalet is really quirky with some wonderful little touches. Absolutely every eventuality is catered for and you could literally turn up with just a toothbrush and get by for the night, with plenty to eat or drink if you should wish. It was a cold crisp night and the Chalet was suitably warm, with extra blankets and throws should you need them. The view across the hills which were snow topped was really pretty. We will certainly be back some time.

    Patricia2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Really clean and comfortable, very warm and comfy. Tea, coffee, milk & bread etc.. &a minibar, really thoughtful. We will definitely return

    Graeme2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice house inside and out. The woman of the house, D, is very kind and endearing. He has a very gentle and affectionate cat and the house is an environmentalist, that is, he recycles and has the option of spending less water in the shower. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. Highly recommended if you want to disconnect and be in the middle of nature sitting in the garden of the house.

  • Susan's place is very high standard and offers a lot of thoughtful things. Like alsorts of toiletries incase you've forgot and tea, coffee and treats. Place was so comfortable and so clean. Then there's her little dog Maisie who is so friend and just loves company. She is very quiet and not noisy at all. I would highly recommend Susan's place.

Built in 1865, the House of Daviot is a beautiful period house set in 9 acres of land adjacent to the village of Daviot. With stunning views and spacious rooms we are 6 miles from Inverurie and only 20 mins drive from Aberdeen Airport. We are ideally situated for exploring a huge range of castles, distilleries and coastline. We have no minimum stay but people who stay only one night often regret not staying for longer, so come stay for at least 2 nights and give yourself time to explore
No. 2 House of Daviot is the central-most part of the former manse which is now divided into 5 properties. The house was recently renovated and has been refurbished to enhance its baronial character and provide a comfortable home for modern living. The nearby village of Daviot hosts a church and friendly local pub which is only 10 minutes walk. The town of Inverurie is 6 miles from the house and has all the day-to-day facilities one needs. No need to go to Aberdeen! There are some fantastic local walks and more serious hiking, and cycling in the highlands is only a 30-minute drive away.
The Daviot estate is a very family oriented place, the local community maintain paths around the local woodlands and there is an abundance of wildlife, particularly birds and occasionally deer can be seen running through the garden. The village of Daviot has a very friendly pub (frequently with live music), a church and a school. Inverurie (6 miles away) has a wealth of shops, restaurants and pubs, public parks and leisure centres.
  • Matt and Lucy's home is stunning, with a fascinating history and an unrivalled peaceful setting. Our room was enormous, well appointed and very comfortable, with views over the grounds to the hills beyond. Sadly we didn't meet Lucy, but Matt was most friendly and welcoming with excellent communication and always on hand to answer any queries. They definitely deserve their status as Superhosts. We look forward to returning later in the year for a longer stay . We enthusiastically recommend! Chris and Karen

Holiday cottage in Aberdeenshire adjacent to Bennachie range of hills and a 10 minute drive from Inverurie. Superb access into the entire Bennachie Forest with walking and biking tracks immediately across road. Fantastic views of Mither Tap. Bring your dog and enjoy the walks and hills from the cottage door. Close to a number of Aberdeenshire's wedding venues.
Our crofting cottage has a kitchen, lounge, shower room, king size double bedroom and twin bedroom located on the ground floor. Upstairs there are two attic rooms each with a single bed. The kitchen has an incredible view of Mither Tap and is equipped with fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and hob and a microwave. The cottage will sleep 6 plus an infant in the travel cot. In our opinion, the cottage is spacious for two, comfortable for 4 and cosy for 6.
Chapel of Garioch village is 2 miles away with an excellent tea room (Old Post Office Tea Room). Pittodrie House Hotel, Logie House and Monymusk House are all close by and very well known as superb wedding venues. We are in the middle of the northeast250 road trip and close to castles, whisky distilleries and golf clubs too numerous to mention. The market town of Inverurie is approximately 4 miles away. There you can find a number of supermarkets (M&S, Morrisons & Tesco Extra), a public swimming pool and many shops. We can highly recommend the butcher (Davidsons).
  • Fantastic house with stunning views. Photos don’t do it justice. Well equipped, especially for children. Very hospitable hosts who accommodated our request for baby cot and high chair. Great location for exploring local walks around Bennachie.

A wee cottage 27 miles from Aberdeen City. Surrounded by trees and fresh air, it is a perfect hideaway for a couple wanting time-out, romance and open fires and/or to explore Scotland. It is also perfect for a single person needing a break, to explore job opportunities in Aberdeen or for wedding guest overspill from nearby venues. It will sleep two adults with a child and while pals can stay on the sofabed, they will have no storage or personal space so it's not great for groups. Think 'cosy'.
Location: Please note that the Airbnb page won't show the exact location correctly (a common problem apparently) but I can provide detailed directions after booking. Amenities: Also, the amenities page is playing up and won't let me tick the boxes, so, here are the amenities: Private parking, Private Entrance, Good Wifi, Heating, Towels/Soap/Looroll, Bedding, Hairdryer, Small straighteners, Iron, Closet/Drawers, 2 TV's (with Netflix/Prime (with controls) and large DVD collection), Fireplaces inside and out, Desk/workspace, Dining Table for 6, Smoke Detector, Fire Extinguisher, Little firepit and hammocks on 'homemade' beach. The 'Beach Hut' is my office and will not be available unless specifically requested with notice and an additional fee to be agreed. Pets are welcome but will incur an extra cleaning fee as I am sadly allergic to Dogs. My house: If you love high-tech modern this is not for you. If you like romance, relaxing and snuggling infront of open fires, inside and out, in a country setting...and if you would like to see Scotland my wee house is for you. My garden is a natural, wild and pretty place with a 'homemade' beach with firepit and hammock at the bottom (built during my mid-life crisis a few years ago). The house is small and comprises an open plan living room and kitchen with an open fire, a small second bedroom with a small built-in single bed and the main bedroom is upstairs in the loft space. The bathroom is very small but has all that is needed…bath, shower etc. but it would be a squeeze bathing kids, for example. My house is gorgeous but please don't get carried away, it is not a place for groups or parties...
Aberdeenshire is a lovely part of Scotland which has a great balance of city life (The Granite City) with proximity to the Cairngorms National Park, castles, ancient ruins, the Highlands of Scotland, Royal Deeside, some of the most esteemed fishing rivers in the world, great kayaking (sea and river), surfing (with a wetsuit), mountain biking, SCUBA diving, historic sites, lighthouses, Balmoral, Whisky Trails, Highland games (complete with caber tossing, kilts and bagpipes), deer stalking, theatre, music, windswept beaches and beautiful wild scenery. And if you time it right (first w/e in September), and are interested, you can see Her Majesty the Queen and family at the Braemar Highland Games which are held about an hour away. Also, with a car you can visit Glasgow (City of Culture), Edinburgh (Capital City), Inverness (Gateway to the Highlands, and 'Nessie'), The Black Isle (dolphin watching etc.), the etc. all within a 3hr drive. The exquisite and rugged West Coast of Scotland (Skye, Mull, Staffa, Iona, Harry Potters Hogwarts Express etc.) is within about a 4-5hr drive of my home through very beautiful scenery - although the islands will obviously require ferry crossings. Depending upon the time of year, and the skies, you might even be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights of old Aberdeen (Aurora Borealis) which I have often watched through the skylight in my bedroom while snuggled up in bed!
  • Fantastic Cosy cottage. Close to Bennachie and inverurie but feels like another world away. Would definitely recommend for a wee getaway. Bathroom is as stated very small, but every square inch of space has been used and maximised- loved it.

    Siùsan2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay, once we warmed up the house it was very cosy! Fantastic hot shower and water especially travelling in winter so that was a bonus. I loved the extra touches like the tealights, towels and also everything was really quirky. Plenty books to read, not far from Spey Bey in the car and our dog Finn settled really well. A very clean, quirky cottage and an enjoyable stay!

There are many restaurants catering for all tastes (Indian, Chinese, Italian, traditional fish & chips etc) with ‘Fennel’ being particularly popular for lunch and evening fine dining. Inverurie is at the heart of The Garioch (pronounced Geery) and surrounded by spectacular countryside including the Bennachie range which is very popular for forest walks, mountain biking and climbing to the 5 peaks via a number of different trails. Speyside is easily reachable by car to visit the many distilleries and chauffeured tours of the region can be booked from The Whisky Shop in Inverurie town centre. Also within an easy drive (or via train) is Aberdeen. • Absolutely amazing! We stayed at Arlene’s place for two nights to go to our friends wedding nearby. First of all, communication is very good. When we arrived, Arlene warmly greeted us and offered us a cup of tea and some lovely chat. The house is sparkling clean, with many wonderful and unique touches. The room has all amenities imaginable; towels, hair dryer, toiletries a tv with Netflix. Although the owners are in the house, we were given full privacy. Arlene was always there if we needed something. She even gave us a lift to the wedding! The bathroom is also private. Every morning we woke up to breakfast already on the table with lovely chats. Location wise, it’s around 10 mins by taxi to Inverurie (around £10) and 10 mins to Logie Country house (the wedding venue we were at). Definitely the best air bnb that I’ve ever stayed in. Strongly recommend!

  • Arlene and Andy's house is stunning, a house is full of love, spotless clean and a lots of amazing thoughtful touch. Fresh flowers at the bed side, the most comfy bed we have even slept on. The best thing is their hospitality. Good location, beautiful surrounding, it's just want you need at home. Arlene and Andy does give you a lots of space and privacy, however they are always there if we need them. Lovely breakfast is also provided. We have been using airbnb for 7+ years. It's a top quality, very value for money, one of the best experience. High recommended and you will have a lovely stay. xxx

  • Wonderful apartment, just 10 minutes from the town - comfortable beds, 2 bathrooms, clean, and spacious enough for us to be able to invite extra guests over in the evenings. Most importantly (in Aberdeenshire in January) there was a very effective central heating system in place!! Highly recommend.

  • Great wee place to stay in Inverurie, very clean, spacious and good value compared to a lot of the local Hotels. Lorraine was very responsive whenever we needed any help or advice, and we had no problems at all throughout our stay. We will be recommending this listing to our friends and family for accommodation during our wedding in January 2021!

  • Absolutely amazing place with friendly host. The house itself was very clean, equipped with everything you need and a great location. Very bright with the windows yet still very private and no one can see in. Lorraine, the host, is very quick and responsive to messages and very friendly. Nothing was too much of an ask. Will be returning again very soon. Thank you!

  • Off the beaten track about a mile or so from Turriff town centre; ideal for those seeking rest and relaxation. The property was very clean, very well equipped and our host was first class in communicating with us - my wife & I stayed on a coldish November weekend and were greeted by a roaring log-fire as we entered which set the tone perfectly. The milk, biscuits and preserves left for us were a great touch. Highly recommended and we'll visit again when next in the area.

  • Judy is a welcoming and helpful host and her home is beautiful, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our time here very much. The bedroom is quite large and the use of the guest lounge was much appreciated, with fast WiFi. Breakfast every morning was an additional treat! We highly recommend a stay here!

    Annalisa2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great host, we had a great time at Judy. We loved the British charm of the interior of the house and will keep a tasty memory of the breakfast!

    Roselyne2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • I would wholeheartedly recommend staying at Judy’s beautiful home. Judy was welcoming, caring, thoughtful & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble & she went above & beyond to assist me, in many ways. The decor of the whole house was beautiful & had a lovely ambience. Thoughtful touches were many, e.g a fresh flower, chocolates, bottled water & tissues by the bedside. The breakfast spread in the gorgeous dining room was mouthwatering. Judy was easy to talk to & genuine & it felt like she was a friend, I’d known a long time. Next time I’m in the area I’ll be booking to stay in, Judy’s historic home. Who needs hotels! Thank you, Judy.💐🌞👏😎🌈

121 Year old granite town house, situated in centre of town with in easy reach of all amenity's. 5min walk to train station to Dyce airport, Aberdeen or Inverness. All the shops are on your doorstep, local swimming is just behind the property, trampoline park, 10 pin bowling, pubs and restaurants are all just a short walk away. Also perfectly positioned for anyone wanting to explore Cairngorms National Park , historic Aberdeenshire Castles trail and local stone circles.
The Loft property with 3 spacious bedrooms ( 2 guest rooms ) over the top two floors of the property is very clean and well decorated and very deceptive in size from the outside. Due to location on Inverurie high street I have triple glassing at the front of the property and double glassing everywhere else. Well equipped kitchen with gas hob, electric fan assisted oven, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine with iron and ironing board stored down the side of fridge. Bathroom is not the largest of spaces but your still have bath with stand up shower, sink, mirror and heated towel rail.
Inverurie, a prosperous Aberdeenshire town situated in the valley of River Don, is a good base for touring castles of the area. Founded by David of Huntingdon, Earl of Garioch and great-great-grandfather of Robert the Bruce, it is locally known as the Capital of the Garioch. Ruins of the medieval Kinkell Church can be found to the south of the town and five miles to the west is the probable site of Mons Grampius where the Romans defeated the Picts in 84 AD - the first ever battle on Scottish oil. At Easter Aquhorthies, two miles west of Inverurie, visitors can admire the excellent recumbent stone circle, and a remarkable Pictish symbol stone, the Brandesbutt Stone, can be visited near the northern edge of the town. Thainstone Mart, located to the south of the town, is one of Europe's biggest livestock sales.

  • David is the Host with the Most! The home was clean and inviting. Each room was set up beautifully with thoughtful touches such as little chocolates ! The apartment was very convenient to everything we needed, and David was always available with tips and recommendations. There were darkening shades in the bedrooms, so we were able to sleep in even though the sun was up at four. The shower was particularly fantastic. David’s warm personality and great sense of humor made the stay extra special. I felt like we were spending the weekend with an old friend. I highly recommend this listing!

  • We really enjoyed staying at Jade’s apartment, it was well equipped for a long stay. Nice location in the middle of Kintore, though we’d recommend having a car to get around. It was nice and clean, and the photos are accurate!

    Keith2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing house, one of the best we have stayed in.

    Mark2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Jade's apartment is gorgeous, located within easy reach of Aberdeen but with a quiet life area. As it's a 3rd floor apartment, both larger bedrooms and the kitchen have hills in the distance behind the houses so that was lovely to wake up to and look at. Lovely natural light throughout the apartment. We really loved staying here and used it as our base for road trips to the highlands to see Loch ness, Culloden Moor among other places. It has a good sized fridge freezer and a good selection of kitchen utensils. The options for eating out in Kintore itself are a bit limited, there is a hotel/pub next door which the staff were lovely and helpful, but for what they were serving we felt it was a bit pricey. Also I'd like to add that there was no noise from the bar when we were in the apt, so please don't let it put you off. There are takeaways in Kintore, we tried the Italian across the street which the kids liked and also the Chinese takeaway which served lovely food. Google says there is a Chinese restaurant in Kintore but it has closed since. Anyway, I would highly recommend this apartment and would definitely book again if I were to return to the Aberdeen area.

Very friendly owners who communicate accurately and quickly. We would stay again. Restaurant in the square also very good.

  • A perfect little retreat in the middle of the North East of Scotland, it has all of the facilities, and more that one requires to spend a week or so away from home, the bonus to us was the use of their own private washing machine and dryer, which made our stay a lot more bearable, as were were on a week and a half trip over from Germany. The dog`s were very friendy and very approachable(just keep throwing them the ball), and the views of the surrounding countryside are priceless for someone whose not from this area of Scotland.

  • Stonefolds Bothy is a great place to relax at the end of a busy touring day. It is peaceful and quiet with all the amenities a traveller would require. And a couple of ball fetching dogs to entertain you!

  • We really enjoyed our stay; the Bothy had everything we needed and more; a good selection of books and dvds; local information and helpful recommendations. We really appreciated the availability of a high chair, baby bath etc. The location was great, very peaceful and relaxing.

  • Shirley and family are friendly and efficient hosts, practical and responsive. The Bothy is situated on a working farm well outside the village (so easier to find if travelling before dusk!), in a quiet, peaceful location, surrounded by fields and the farm animals. The Bothy is comfortable, thoughtfully and well equipped and pleasantly furnished.

  • Immaculate, well-equipped and comfortable accommodation in a tranquil spot. We could not have asked for more.

  • On a working farm, the surrounding countryside is beautiful and peaceful and the house has everything you need. We were entertained by the swallows that came to the door. Nice quiet country roads and within half an hours drive from Ellon parkrun (recommenced). Several interesting castles and National Trust houses nearby as well. Thanks to Shirley and Neil, our hosts for their warm welcome!

  • Nice, modern apartment constructed on the top of Sarah's garage on her large property. Check in and check out were easy and Sarah even drove down to guide us when we had issues finding the apartment. Great friendly host. Small issue with the window in the bedroom not having a blind resulting in quite a bit of light getting in at morning time. Other than that it was all great, photos probably don't do the apartment justice.

  • Excellent stay at Sarah’s immaculate apartment, made a work trip peaceful and relaxing at the end of a long day. Fabulous shower too! Beautiful setting with excellent views to enjoy.

  • Apartment was immaculately presented, really modern and very clean. A great home from home if you are looking for somewhere self-contained, quiet and remote - whilst still being close enough to amenities and the City. Thoroughly recommend.
