Brand new studio Earthship as seen on Off Grid Build! Just search for "Off The Grid Build" to find it. Experience Off Grid living with all the modern amenities in the beautiful high desert mesa just outside Taos, NM.
I recently finished building this house myself over the past 3 years. It is 99% complete. There are a few finishing touches that are not done but the house is 100% comfortable and 100% livable. This house is called an Earthship, a totally off grid house that catches its own rain water, generates its own electricity and stays at a steady 72 degrees all year round without the use of any fuel or electricity what-so-ever! Don't let the term "Off Grid" fool you, this house has all the modern amenities. WiFi, Netflix with a flat screen tv and Bluray player, large refrigerator, large oven/range with a powerful exhaust hood, large bathroom with a luxuriously deep tub and stone all around. There is even a high efficiency washing machine in case you need to do laundry. The sun heats the house passively, but don't worry, you can still sleep in after a late light with black out shades that let you control when the sun illuminates this beautiful space.
The neighborhood is very quiet. My favorite thing to do is take the dog for a walk at sunset.
  • Wow, what a beautiful place! It was so relaxing to stay here. The house was very spacious and aesthetically pleasing. Internet worked well. Wish we could have stayed much longer. It wasn't far from downtown Taos but allowed for us to feel like we were in a cabin somewhere. The stars were so bright. Will definitely visit again if we're in the area and recommend to friends. Sooo much better than a hotel!

  • Dan’s earthship was just the getaway we needed during this crazy coronavirus time we are in. We were completely isolated, cooked at the ship and hiked in the area. It was nice to be in a beautiful area away from it all. And the stars were amazing!!!

  • This place is amazing I would recommend to everyone reading this to check it out. You will love it!

  • Awesome space, great location, beautiful views. I needed a place to recharge my batteries, and this was just what I needed! The silence was extraordinary, too.

    Lindsay2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • SO GREAT! If you’re looking for a remote getaway in a unique setting - this is for you. Super straightforward and while also remarkable ! Pretty close to historic Taos and super easy to find. We had zero problems.

  • Overall: I didn’t spend tons of time inside but the first & lasting impression was exactly the same as when I saw the listing and after viewing the YouTube video. If you’re looking to experience “off-the-grid” this spot was perfect. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family. Cleanliness: I greatly appreciated the cleanliness of the Earthship. Many other unique Airbnbs that allow animals do a horrible job keeping their property clean for all guests, the group kept the Earthship very clean and no animal hair was on the bed or places that I could see. For someone that is unfortunately allergic to animal hair, the cleanliness of the property was my biggest concern going in. Temperature: One thing I was expecting was feeling warm, inside the greenhouse once you open the main door. It was around 40° outside and inside it was very warm I’d say 75°. It felt very nice. Bathroom: As long as you watch the video provided nothing should surprise you. The smell described in the video coming from the toilet isn’t a gross smell. I thought it might smell like fertilizer but it just smelt like some dirt. I wish there was a different shower head with hotter water but that’s jut nitpicking. The water pressure overall was a surprise since being in an Earthship I thought it wouldn’t be that great but it was way better than many hotels. Local Tips: Nothing for this Airbnb but I thought I’d let reviewers know since I assume many will try to travel there, but if you plan to travel to Manby Hot Springs you must have a 4WD vehicle. I used Waze & had a Dodge Ram 4x4 in Feb and it would have been impossible to get there otherwise if you use Waze & a 2WD. Also make sure you have hiking boots in case there is mud and snow/ice since with those conditions, the hike isn’t “easy” as some blogs say. You’re on the side of a cliff the entire time.

Redwood was designed for romantic weekend getaways or extended stays. It offers two covered decks; one over looks the tall ponderosa pines off of the main living area with seating and gas fire table, The second Covered deck offers a private Hot Tub, seating around the gas fire table and a Gas BBQ Grill – two level - 3 steps up to cabin entrance and main level, several steps to upper bedroom level - Wi-Fi in cabin - Roku - DVD/CD player-cabin side parking.
This cabin has all the extras, see through fireplace, whirlpool, hot tub, fire tables on both covered decks. The cabin has custom live edge Redwood counter tops, along with Juniper vanities.
The cabin is located in the Upper Canyon surrounded by tall ponderosa pines. It's adjacent to the Lincoln national forest where bear, deer, elk, turkey and other wildlife roam the neighbor. The area also has an abundant amount of wild birds in the neighborhood.
  • I would highly recommend this beautiful cabin to anyone! It was very clean, cozy and the hot tub was amazing! Alfredo made it so easy to stay there and was so gracious. Can’t wait to go back!

    Kala2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great experience at this cabin! Not only was Alfredo kind and helpful throughout the stay, he had thought through everything you might possibly need from cookware, coffee(and creamer) to leaving a bottle of wine out for us. The grill, fireplaces and hot tub really made a nice touch to this cozy cabin This felt like home away from home. We will definitely be back.

Your immaculate, detached casita awaits just off the famous Turquoise Trail, just 10 minutes from the artsy town of Madrid (famous for its Christmas lights!) and an easy drive to the Santa Fe Plaza, Meow Wolf, Georgia O'Keefe and great restaurants and museums. Private entrance, spacious bedroom, separate living area with daybed, bathroom, kitchenette, and amazing views!
From the large parking area, pass under a charming adobe artist's gate and walk across the quiet, flagstone-paved garden to your own private casita. Comfortable Adirondack chairs invite you to rest on the covered porch. Once inside, you'll be surprised how much space you can enjoy. The bedroom has a comfy queen bed, plenty of storage, and windows with uninterrupted views of the San Marcos plateau. Keep them open! A separate, equally spacious living area offers a daybed that can be made up into a second, twin bed at no extra charge (let us know if you plan to use it for sleeping). The kitchenette offers a convenient fridge, microwave and everything you need to make coffee/tea in the morning. State-of-the-art heating/air conditioning keeps the space comfortable year round, although you will want to open the windows at night to enjoy the cool high desert air. Views from the living room look northeast to the Lone Butte and Eaves Movie Ranch. Be sure to stay up and watch the stars come out!
The Turquoise Trail is a scenic drive between Santa Fe and Albuquerque that runs through historic mining towns nestled in the valleys between hills with 100-mile views. The quaint town of Madrid, just 10 minutes down the road, offers a mile-long walk among charming shops, artist studios and casual restaurants that serve delicious New Mexican cuisine and host live music. The unique beauty and history of Santa Fe is just 23 minutes North, with exceptional dining, shopping, museums and entertainment. Take a walk up Canyon Road on a Friday night when the art galleries host receptions for new exhibits (free refreshments!). Nibble a carnita while people-watching on the shaded Santa Fe Plaza. Explore the museums, the Cathedral, and the shops, while drinking in the almost-constant Southwest sunshine. Expand your adventure with day trips to Bandelier National Monument, the Bradbury Science Museum at Los Alamos, and hiking or horseback riding in the Cerrillos Hills, the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Abiquiu/Ghost Ranch. We can provide suggestions for a variety of activities, particularly local day hikes.
  • Great place to stay! It was nicely tucked away, great to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Very clean and easy to check in!

  • Nice cozy casita with everything you need. Amazing views. Very quite. Just what we needed.

    Kevin2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely room with an awesome view, not far from town and lots to do along the way!

    Marc2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and peaceful place, stunning views- easy access to Madrid and Santa Fe yet the feeling of being away.

    Lyn2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying in the Kachina house! There were fresh flowers and tea in the kitchen. I saw the most beautiful sunrise in the backyard! It is a little further from Santa Fe than I had originally realized, but it made it that much more cozy and quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

    Bethany2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Deb's place is fantastic. It's outside the city so it's a peaceful place to relax. The neighbors and their dog Ricky are wonderful. Ricky led us on a short hike. We can't wait to come back.

    Rachel2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to stay to explore Sante Fe, Madrid and Alberquerque. Just enough off the beaten track to enjoy the peace and quiet and experience the beautiful stars. Deb greeted as when we arrived and gave us lots of recommendations for places to go and to,eat. The little Casita was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Warm and cosy with everything you needed. I can not recommend it highly enough. So comfortable and cosy.

Charming separate living quarters, sharing a vine covered patio with a 90-year-old adobe home situated on scenic Highway 28. Located about 15 minutes south of Las Cruces, this quiet country getaway beckons you to stay awhile. Setting is rural.
This charming casita has exposed rock walls, 110-year-old longleaf wood floors, heating/AC, unlimited Wifi, a large, tiled bathroom, and its own kitchenette with refrigerator, Keurig, and microwave. The room will comfortably fit two adults but a small mattress is available for another adult or child.
Close by the charming colonia of San Miguel with its volcanic rock Catholic Church. Just a short distance from Chopes Mexican Restaurant, a destination for many on its own. To the north (about a 15 min drive) is the historic town of Mesilla and to the east is the pink-tinged Organ Mountain Range, now part of a High Desert National Monument, which abounds with hiking opportunities. Guadalupe NP and Carlsbad Caverns are a further distance, but well worth the day trip. White Sands National Monument and the Sacramento Mountains harbor the Lincoln National Forest with Ruidoso and Cloudcroft a short driving distance away. Petroglyph sites are plentiful, such as Three Rivers and Hueco Tanks, near El Paso. About an hour's drive north, you can visit beautiful Gila National Forest (Silver City, Pinos Altos) or Hillsboro, Chloride, or Kingston (old silver mining/ghost towns) or T or C (Truth or Consequences) a historic hot springs district with wonderful resorts as Riverbend Hot Springs.
  • Beautiful and cozy casita, felt like a luxury stay. Would definitely stay again any time I’m in las cruces.

    Marissa2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really lovely place to stay. Entrance is through a lovely shaded patio full of flowers. A pair of sweet dogs and a really friendly cat were our greeting committee - which we loved. Would happily stay here again.

  • Amazing hosts!!!! Will definitely recommend this cute casita! Felt in love with Mousse!!!

    Sergii2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at this little casita. The courtyard was amazing, the interior was fantastic, and our door greeter, Moose, was prompt and worked for cat treats. The hosts had an abundance of materials available for local outings and other attractions in the southern New Mexico area. The kitchenette had the essentials on hand, and the shower was pretty nice too. Would recommend to my friends...

  • Such a cute stay! Warm & Cozy spot a little far out of the city but worth the drive! Great host!

    Karina2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute little place. We were half way through our cross country trip and the hot tub couldn’t have been more perfect, even in late January. The bathroom is really nice and bed is super comfy. They even have board and card games in the room for you to play. Moose (their cat) and two dogs will come and say hello to you outside as well which is one of our highlights of the trip considering we left 4 cats at home during our two week trip. There is also a chicken. We looked into staying here again during our trip back but it was unsurprisingly booked.

    Alicia2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely clean and well managed, their property is gorgeous with an outstanding view of the stars!

  • This is a beautiful, cozy cabin made for a romantic getaway for two! It's not your typical kitschy cabin. We loved the modern touches and amenities. We had a great time and will definitely be back 😊. Best Airbnb experience we've ever had!

  • Lovely rustic unique woodwork throughout the house. Best thing: sitting in the hot tub, listening to the wind in the trees, drinking a glass of wine.

    Stefanie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cozy cabin in a great location! This is the absolute perfect place to go to relax and enjoy the beautiful Ruidoso. Alfredo is the best host! He was so easy to get in contact with. I can’t recommend this cabin enough!

  • If you want to escape the stresses of "being an adult" for a few days then Sneak Away to Alfredo's place. A sweet little cabin with special touches that made for a perfect getaway. The hot tub on the deck is amazing, the double person jacuzzi that is set up for bluetooth and with LED lights is made to relax in and soak all your stresses away. The pictures do not do this sweet little gem justice. Go see for yourself...you'll not want to leave. We will absolutely be back to either SneakAway or one of Alfredo's other places.

The Acequia Trail will have you to the Railyard in 10 minutes on a bike and 20 minutes on foot. The River Trail will have you on the Plaza in 15 minutes on a bike and 35 minutes on foot.
We love the neighborhood. It is a mix of young families, millennials, artists, Santa Fe transplants and people whose families have called Santa Fe home for generations. Walk to restaurants and cafes. This location makes getting anywhere in Santa Fe easy.
  • I’m an opera singer who just lived here for two weeks while rehearsing and putting on a performance. It was great! I appreciated how quiet the neighborhood was and how close it is to downtown and lots of restaurants and activities. I don’t think I ever drove more than 10 minutes. These are great hosts, friendly and easy to communicate with. If you’re looking for a place with a view, maybe keep looking, but if you’re looking for a quiet place to crash and a launch point to explore Santa Fe, it’s a wonderful little apartment.

Charming, Private, New Eco Friendly cabin on 2 acres. Five minute walk into town where you'll find the Mine Shaft Tavern, and the Hollar restaurants, Java Junction coffee house, galleries, shops, and the Country Store. The cabin welcomes pets as does the town. The Hollar even has a doggie menu. The cabin, is peacefully located, yet close to everything. Surrounded by cedar, pine and juniper trees, orioles, bluebirds, hummingbirds, are daily visitors along with an occasional Roadrunner.
The Cabin is surrounded by the Ortiz Mts on the south and the Sangre de Christo Mts on the North for amazing sunsets and sunrises. The cabin is fully equipped with amenities to make your stay comfortable. Cell phone service may be spotty in the entire town depending on your carrier. WiFi is fine. The cabin has a TV monitor so if you have a HDMI cord you can plug into your compute and stream TV, movies. etc.
Complete privacy with magnificent views of the Ortiz Mountains to the south, and Sangre de Christo Mountains to the north. Lots of land to hike where you'll find old marbles, turquoise, mining tools, a railroad and mining museum at the Tavern, only a 5 minute walk into the center of Madrid.
  • Wow... this place exceed our expectations. Such a beautiful place, where we were able to enjoy ourselves so much! Lana was so helpful and great at communicating with us. Even gave us tips and things to do around the area. Madrid is a beautiful town and the people are so, so, friendly! One of my best stays ever! We will definitely be back!

  • Second time staying here - another great experience!

    Rebekah2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Than you Lana! My dog Finn and I had a great experience at your place! Finn, my new rescue dog, had the time of his life. I’m guessing this is the first time he got to run around a fenced yard. He loved it! He even chased a jack rabbit (thank goodness the rabbit was faster than he was). The snacks you left, the cleanliness of the cabin, all contributed to a perfect weekend getaway. We hiked the Cerrillo National Park - beautiful!

    Patty2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place!!!

  • Lana's place was beautiful, quiet, and clean. We loved its privacy and cleanliness!

    Madeleine2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was nice! Hearing coyotes and owls nearby was really cool, and it’s not too far from Cerrillos state park, which was a pretty hike. The drive up to Santa Fe is beautiful too! The only downsides were that we couldn’t get the WiFi working (which honestly wasn’t a big deal at all for us), and the sulphur smell from the well-water was pretty overwhelming after showering. Aside from that, everything was great though!

    Caitlyn2020-03-05T00:00:00Z

My place is 1.2mi from the plaza in a conveniently located residential neighborhood. With its small, simple, Santa Fe style, you'll feel at home right away! The main room has a kiva fireplace & sleeper sofa as well as a full kitchen & small dining area. There is a separate bedroom with closet & washer/dryer. The enclosed, private courtyard is perfect for kids & pets. This guesthouse is separate from, but next to my home where I live with my partner, our son, and two fuzzy dogs!
As you walk in through the rustic red gate, you enter into an open, shady courtyard/small garden filled with lilac, an apricot tree, and wildflowers in the summer months. The front porch (in New Mexico it's called a portal) spans the length of the guesthouse & is very much a part of the living space. With it's lively rug & simple outdoor seating area, it is always hard to make yourself go inside & miss out on our incredible New Mexico weather! Two sets of french doors are meant to be thrown open to bring the outside in. The first set of doors opens to the main room with it's traditional kiva fireplace, sleeper sofa, and full kitchen. The flat-screen TV is available for streaming & both Netflix & Amazon video services are included. The guesthouse has radiant floor heat and colored concrete floors, although the fireplace is often more than enough. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, & is stocked with pots, pans, & utensils. A small dining area with a handmade table & vintage chairs is perfect for dining, working, or games! A small washer/dryer unit is next to the bathroom which has a tub/shower combination. There is a pocket door hidden in the doorway between the bedroom & main room for privacy (or supervision if necessary!). The bedroom has a queen size bed (built by Scott) along with a closet & hangers. The second set of French doors opens into this bedroom from the portal, so you can let the beautiful weather or just the sunshine in! Please keep in mind that Santa Fe has been living in drought conditions for many years, and as a result we have some of the the lowest water consumption per person in the US, with our per person rates averaging 95 gallons per person per day, compared to the national average of 150! We therefore ask you to be mindful of your water use in our dry city (i.e. turn off the tap while brushing, etc...).
My neighborhood is great! The location is amazing in that it is close to everything, without being in the middle of everything. It is a typical neighborhood in Santa Fe, which means it isn't really typical of anything. It is a residential street, although you won't find any lawns or that sort of thing, most of the residences here are behind adobe walls. It's residential, yet just two blocks away from St. Francis, which is one of the larger thoroughfares in the city. The "Tune Up" cafe, which was featured on the Food Network, is just three blocks away, as well as a laundromat two blocks in the opposite direction. If you like to cook or dine in, there is a Sprouts, Albertson's, and CVS about a mile away at DeVargas Center (there are restaurants & shops as well). During the summer months, the Farmer's Market is a very popular place for local organic produce & other products. The Railyard District has a Violet Crown movie theater, restaurants, shops, galleries & events just 0.5mi down the street. Canyon Road & the Santa Fe plaza are about 1.5mi away and offer endless choices for dining, gallery strolling, and shopping all steeped in 400 years of history. The plaza (or downtown) area is about a mile away and has zillions of shops, galleries, and restaurants as well as one of Santa Fe's specialties - museums! The New Mexico History Museum, Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, Governor's Palace, New Mexico Museum of Art, & famed Institute of American Indian Art are all right there (not including our own Museum Hill, with a handful of other museums there!). If you're taking a day trip up north to Chimayo or thereabouts, simply hop on to St. Francis and you're already on 285 north. If you'd like to head up the mountain for snowboarding or hiking, swing around Paseo de Peralta to Artist Rd & you're on your way.
  • Loved the casita. Was so bright and sunny. Felt so good. Location is really good to shopping and our favorite restaurants. Will be keeping thus one on our list!!

  • We signed up at the last minute and Liz was very accommodating! The place is very comfortable and lots of nice touches. We also enjoyed the Tune Up Cafe just around the corner. I highly recommend liz’s place.

    Karen2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect central location. The convertible couch was so much comfier than a usual pull out. Perfect size and a homey feel. Quiet location. Highly recommend!

  • Perfect spot for a week long stay in Santa Fe. We were close to everything we needed and it was such a comfortable place to return to after long day hikes. Would definitely stay here again.

    Erin2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Liz's casita! Walking distance to most everything we needed, clean, and very cozy.

    Sophia2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Best airbnb ever! It felt like home, even though sadly it is not.

    Annie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, spacious, and cozy space. It was so convenient to have a washer/dryer to use in the middle of a long trip. And the fireplace was a great addition :)

    Marissa2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • A great home base for a trip to Santa Fe — Liz was an amazing host. Highly recommended! Be sure to bring some firewood because the fireplace is fantastic.

Private, cozy, and wonderfully quiet, our Kiva is an inspiring place for meditation and contemplative retreat. The natural Adobe walls and floor, high ceiling, and big windows with plenty of light contribute to the grounding, yet open feel of the space. Close proximity to 2 undeveloped hot-springs, the Rio Grande River National Monument, and lots of great hiking. Just 5 miles from New Mexico's premier Brewery and Live Music venue. 15 Miles to Downtown Taos; 22 Miles to Taos Ski Valley
The Kiva is a single room structure, nestled into its own private hillside. A small round room with a big sunny view. Local clay for the Adobe floors and walls, raw timber from the Taos mountains for the high, airy ceiling. A stay in this hand-made home is truly a unique experience. The Kiva is a short hike to scenic natural hot springs on the edge of the Rio Grande river. The springs are free and open to the public, as such, you may encounter other folks there. Conduct your self with respect for any others and regard for your safety. Great for individuals or couples seeking a grounding space to get away from it all. The Kiva has an electric heater for cold weather. The fireplace is not for guest use, and fires in the fireplace (or outdoors) are not permitted. We are in drought conditions and do take wildfire seriously. This is a RUSTIC and MODEST space with no kitchen, and only minimalist bathroom amenities, please read onward for a full description. We have no running tap water at the Kiva, however several gallons of clean drinking/wash up water are provided in the room. This space is not set up for food prep or cooking (no running water!) However there are some basics like silverware, plates, bowls, and mugs that you can use for your convenience with prepared foods and takeout items. An electric water kettle for instant soup or a cup of tea is provided. The toilet is a clean and regularly maintained composting toilet, located about 100 feet from the dwelling, in a separate private structure. There are no shower or bath available on site. The undeveloped hot springs and also the Rio Grande river are about a mile hike away, and are great if you are craving a water experience. We provide bed linens, but please bring your own towel if you need one for the hot springs. We have hosted many satisfied guests with these admittedly modest amenities... If you need running water, flush toilets, and a shower in order to be happy, please look to stay elsewhere.
A private and quiet neighborhood. Neighbors occasional walk or run, and you can too, but quiet for the most part. Close proximity to 2 different Natural Hot Springs (one walking distance). Close access to Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument.
  • Gorgeous space! We loved touring Taos Pueblo and then staying in this amazing adobe structure surrounded by nature! Getting to the springs was an adventure, and we recommend not going at night!

    Jenny2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had an excellent stay the the Kiva house. Ray was a great host and provided some good recommendations for the hot springs nearby. Super cozy and quiet location. It felt like we were glamping a bit, all the bare necessities were provided. Bring a cooler with some food and drinks, a towel for the hot springs, and prepare to check out and recharge in a beautiful landscape for a scenic escape. Thanks Ray!

    Brett2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location and view. Really out there in nature and nearly off-grid. Don't expect luxuries. And you'd better love getting woken up at 7:30 AM with the sun. Unique style living arrangements. I love how this house was hand built in the local tradition. Very cool experience. The wife was missing a lot of her city comforts. Very much Glamping. Would stay again. Good value option compared to the alternatives.

    Ted2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location and cozy accommodations. The kiva is just as advertised. We were there on a chilly night and the room stayed warm and cozy. The nearby hot springs are well worth the hike.

    Christian2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very beautiful and quiet. Fantastic experience.

    Dorthe2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our night in the Kiva very much. Perfectly serene night with millions of stars. Very magical place. We hiked to the hot springs in the morning and it was a fabulous way to start the day! Can’t beat the scenery! Ray was very quick with communication when I didn’t pay full attention to the directions he sent. We arrive at sundown and it is very dark out there. However, if we had followed his directions to the T we wouldn’t have had a problem. Many thanks!

    Brittany2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • The kiva is a wonderful experience to get off the grid but still be very comfortable. Ray's directions to get there were easy to follow and the place was clean and beautiful, but of course it's the surrounding area that is the most special. When there, don't miss out on the hot springs nearby and the spectacular night sky!

    Mina2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a way to get close to the beauty of N. New Mexico, this is the place! The accommodations are simple (nothing to cook on and no running water) but super quiet and beautiful. The rammed earth floors were warm and soft and the space just feels good. We had the great good fortune to have the hot springs all to ourselves, and the hike down into the Rio Grande gorge was breathtaking! Ray was available by phone and super-accommodating. We’ll be back!

  • The Sister Casita was everything we hoped for on our vacation to Taos. Authentic decor made for the ultimate New Mexico experience and the convenient location made exploring all the shops, restaurants, scenery and Taos Ski Valley very easy. Jessica was not only a phenomenal host, she helped us through our first experience with AirBnB, quickly replied to all messages, and went above and beyond to assist us late at night. I’ve traveled the world and there are very few places like Taos, you’ll love it here.

    Jordan2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at the Casita!! We came to Taos to ski as a last minute trip. We are so delighted that we got to stay here! Check in was a breeze, Jessica was very informative. She was always quick to answer any questions I had, and even checked on us to see how we were enjoying our stay! The casita has everything we needed, I like to cook so I was very happy that she had a well stocked kitchen! The casita was clean and tidy, and also decorated very nicely! The location was great, everything was close! Plenty of great restaurants nearby ( our favorite was Orlando’s) and there was a organic healthy grocery store right across the street. We didn’t get to see any of the Taos local attractions but they were all fairly close. The drive to the ski resort was only about 25-30 min. Would highly recommend staying at Jessica’s casita! Can’t wait to stay here again next ski season! Thank you Jessica for sharing your beautiful home with us!

  • Very charming, super clean, great location, reasonable price, dog friendly, friendly host, couldn't have asked for anything more. Hope to be coming back this summer!

    Hilary2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Sister Casita is a cute, one bedroom located within a duplex. The walls are quite thin, and we could hear the other side of the duplex's conversation early in the morning. However, other than that, the space is perfect, and Jessica is extremely timely with communications. The check-in is simple, and the casita has its own private space. The location is great - near The Love Apple, and we also walked to coffee at The Spot.

    Katie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for our short stay in Taos. It was very clean, cozy, and charming! The bed was very comfortable and the hosts were just amazing with super quick response time and lots of info on things to do and places to see. The Casita is close to everything in town and only 15 miles to the ski area, which was a bonus for us. The kitchen is well equipped with pretty much everything you'd need for a short or long term stay and we loved the beautiful bathroom. We didn't want to leave, but it's time to get back to work :). We will definitely be staying here again!

My adobe casita is a special place – washed in sunlight, quiet and tucked into a half acre with grass, trees, flowers, rabbits and birds. It is 15-20 minutes from downtown Albuquerque and about 50 minutes from Santa Fe. Plenty of outdoor space in which to relax and soak up the sun. Mountain views, too. A perfect place to relax and enjoy New Mexico. Due to the coronavirus, we are taking extra care to disinfect surfaces between reservations.
Quiet, peaceful. A slice of the country in Albuquerque. This little building used to be a meditation hall, and it retains its zen calm, only now with a comfy bed with all-cotton linens, a reading nook and a patio table with mountain views for your coffee and tea in the morning. A kitchenette includes a sink, microwave, coffee maker and two-burner electric hot plate. Dishes, glassware and pots and pans for two. Very cold air conditioning and quiet, efficient and warm heater. Starbucks French roast coffee and an assortment of teas provided.
We are about 15-20 minutes from downtown via I-25 and 50-55 minutes from Santa Fe. The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta park is, literally, behind our house.
  • Leslie was the sweetest host. We told her we’d be checking in later in the evening, and since she was home, she left the gate open and our key in the door so we didn’t have to mess with the lockbox in the dark. Secluded and serene is really the perfect description for this place. It was clean and cozy and quiet with essentials for a great stay. Absolutely recommend!

    Heather2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute, quiet place to spend the weekend! Everything was so clean and tidy and overall a great stay!

    Gabriella2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie’s casita is wonderful for a stay in Albuquerque. Very clean, spacious and quiet. Was there for business and couldn’t be happier to utilize Leslie’s hospitality to relax and recharge at the end of some long days. My second year staying with her and it has been an absolute pleasure. I want to keep her a secret for myself, but she is truly a wonderful host with an excellent location.

    Greg2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Adobe Casita Is a great place to unwind. If you like peace and quiet you can find it here. Great shower with plenty of hot water. Location worked wonderful for us With easy to get to restaurants and activities literally just around the corner. Leslie is a great host!

  • Stylish adobe casita with everything you need. I was attending a conference at Sandia Casino so location was perfect. My husband went skiing at Sandia Ski Resort while I was at conference. Great places to eat close by, but you are tucked away from the hubbub.

  • Leslie is a great hostess, very personable and most pleasant. She made it very easy for us to check in and out. The Adobe Casita is very cut and comfortable. Additionally it is quiet and very private.

  • Beautiful space.

    McKenna2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie's place was AMAZING! Her hospitality alone was outstanding. We were only there for a night but really contemplated sticking around for another day. Our dogs LOVED the run of the whole fenced in yard. Playing frisbee and fetch they were grinning ear to ear. Close to so many great things as well. The place itself was so well put together and you can tell she takes great care and pride in the home. Plus it's right across from the Albuquerque Balloon fest field. Would love to come back for that. If we are ever back in Albuquerque, Leslie's place will be the first place we look to book!!

This sun-lit and charming casita is the perfect place to call home after skiing at Taos Ski Valley or hiking in the mountains (13 miles). Only 15 minutes to restaurants, art galleries and many cultural activities. Fits well a family of 4 or friendly adults. Its like a country vacation or retreat yet close to all the activities.
One large room houses the living/kitchen which has a couch, a rocking chair and coffee table. For dinning, there is a bonco with a table. The kitchen area of the room has a microwave, toaster oven, 2 burner hot plate, small refrigerator, dishes, glassware, silverware, pots and pans. Plus a 5 cup coffee maker and a few basics -- coffee, tea, salt, pepper, sugar, honey, oatmeal, olive oil & balsamic vinegar. No need to bring water! Water from the tap is provided by our well -- tested with a pH factor of 8.5 and is very tasty. The bedroom with a door has a queen bed with down pillows and comforter. Climb the ladder to the loft for 2 twin comfy futons. The bathroom is very small with a shower. The wi-fi is fiber optics. There are walking and viewing areas extending beyond the 5 acre property. Fall asleep to the song of the coyotes. After 2 adults, there is a $10 charge per night per person up to 4 people, 4 years old and up. Children 3 and below are free. Dogs love it here and are allowed if they are well behaved. We request that they don't get on the furniture or sleep in the bed. There is a $15 fee, payable directly to hosts. If this is agreeable, please let us know you are bringing a dog.
Being at the end of road, looking over pastures & surrounded by mountains, gives the feeling of being in the country. Yet the casita is only 15 minutes to the plaza, restaurants, or to the delightful town of Arroyo Seco. 30 minutes to Taos Ski Valley. We're close to Taos Mesa Brewing Mothership, the Mamby Hot Springs, the Gorge Bridge, and the Earthship Village.
  • Donna and Bill are wonderful hosts. Their space is amazing, has great views, and is convenient to Taos and the outdoors. We would love to stay there again!

  • Thank you Donna and Bill!!!

    Jeanette2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This cute casita was a great place to have some quiet time in an inspiring landscape. The night sky and sounds were magical. It was cozy for a solo retreat, with plenty of sunshine, and also some trails around the house that Donna graciously took time to point out. The bed was very comfortable and the space was thoughtfully prepared. I received prompt communication from the hosts and I appreciated staying in a space that people clearly care about, as opposed to an airbnb flip property. The hosts were even graciously patient when I lost track of time being in retreat mode and needed ten extra minutes to vacate the casita-much appreciated! The access to town was helpful, and even though there are plenty of neighbors, it still felt like a getaway. I enjoyed my stay very much!

  • Enjoyed our time at Two Bear Cabin. Appreciated the bottle of wine to get our vacay started. Both elk and deer were seen while enjoying coffee on the deck. Getting in the hot tub was a great way to end the day. Our Blue Heeler enjoyed the deck too as we were able to close off the area. While relevantly small, it was perfect for my husband, pup and I. He would say some of the doors could have been a bit taller as he is 6’3”, but he only had to bump his head once.

    Heidi2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Nice cozy cabin and the deck with table, chairs, a fire, and hot tub was just delightful.

  • The room was located in a great place. You must try Stufy’s this place was the best food I ate there and didn’t discover it till it was time to go. The hosts were wonderful. There were a few things that I would of loved to be different but it wasn’t a big deal for the price. The bed on one side was a little sunk in but wasn’t a big deal because my son loved that side. I’m short the shower head was super high (if you’re a chubby person good luck bending over without knocking yourself out and hitting your butt on the cold wall😂) . Over all it was very nice they even left coffee to drink, noodles to eat, and popcorn I was so appreciative of the thought especially after 16 hours in the car. Overall I’d stay again !

Our 100 year old adobe house is located in the heart of the Santa Fe Baca District. We are 1.8 miles from the plaza-- a 10 minute drive and about a 35-40 minute walk. You will have your own private entrance and private bathroom. There are walking trails close by and great restaurants are in walking distance. We are a 15-20 minute walk to the Santa Fe Farmers Market, and we are two blocks from public transportation. Please be aware this room is for 1 guest per night.
The room has a private entrance and bathroom and has been decorated with Latin American folk art, and is authentic Adobe. The room has a coffee maker, small fridge, tea kettle, towels, a VERY comfy bed (it's a soft mattress), wifi and a porch. Please be aware our adobe does not have AC, but stays pretty cool during the summer and a fan is provided. The room does not have a TV. You will be sharing the rest of the house with me, my husband Luis and Roommate Martin and our cat Sam. Please not this is a very old Adobe home and ceiling height is about 6 feet.
The Baca district is perfect example of old adobe Santa Fe. Families who have been here for generations live here, as well as newly arrived families. • What a sweet little room this is! Perfect for a solo traveler—it’s very private, but Alicia was always available if I had a question and gave excellent suggestions. The bed is literally the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.

  • Such a cute place! Very close to everything. Great extras like lotion, hair products (I had forgotten mine!), tea and a couple different kinds of coffee! Was greeted by the cutest kitty, Sam. Also very nicely decorated and a great selection of reading materials.

  • A classically decorated Santa Fe adobe room with a very comfortable bed in a great section of town that is close to all the great city sites. Alicia put together one the most comprehensive city guides I have ever seen!! Enjoy

  • I only stayed one night as I was passing through Santa Fe on a road trip, but Alicia's place was very comfortable and had everything I might want for a night!

    Emilie2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first AirBnB experience and I could not have chosen a better place than Alicia's. Extremely cleanly and hospitable. If you're looking for a location close to downtown Santa Fe you will not be disappointed staying here.

  • Wonderful stay at this space for a night as our family of four passed through Albuquerque. You can't get much better of a location for walking down to Old Town or to the museums! We loved building a fire to cozy up to at night, and the thoughtful touches around the home -- especially the art. :) Lezle met us for check-in, which made everything go smoothly, and communication was easy.

  • This place is gorgeous! They made check in easy and accommodated a late arrival. The space was adorable, the bed was cozy and there were chairs outback which was nice for stargazing. The hosts had provided a binder full of a bunch of recommendations for what to eat and what to do. There are steel doors that when open give you a beautiful view of the Organ Mountains through a large window and watching the sun rise through the window over the Organ Mountains was amazing. And if you don’t like being waken up by the sun you can always close the steel doors before going to bed. Also, I got to see two jack rabbits and a few quails in the backyard which was AWESOME. And I saw a lil bunny inches from the sliding door by the kitchen. It’s in a very naturey and quiet area. I would absolutely recommend it.

    Samantha2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This places views are TO DIE FOR!! Absolutely would reconsider staying again if ever in the area. The host were awesome nice but also kept distance for privacy! You can literally hike out the back door of this place and even take rides (if in a big suv or truck) up all the way into the desert! Doesn’t get better than that. Thank you guys so much for letting us stay with you!

    Raquel2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful little romantic cabin for a little getaway! The location was fantastic - not far from civilization but just far enough that traffic noise was minimal. A gorgeous view from the porch and our windows, and the hot tub was just everything we needed after a long day of hiking! The cabin was small but comfortable, even for my partner who is 6'2. And it was stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay - pots, pans, dishes, coffee, pancake mix, oatmeal, butter, you name it! Definitely will stay here again if coming to the area <3

  • Everything was great! There was a few spots that needed a little cleaning but nothing really to be upset about. The incline to get to the property is a little steep, and while we were there is was a little icy and then got muddy when the ice melted, but we made it in our two wheel drive. Overall the trip was EXCELLENT and provided much needed rest and relaxation!!

    Rory2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to stay, as said step grade, possible 4 wheel drive needed. But not absolutely necessary. Well planned place for a couple and more.

    Dennis2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Place was great! Perfect for a nice getaway with your significant other. the hot tub was perfect. You could see all the stars and we even saw a shooting star. Definitely recommend if you like getting cozy.

    Caitlin2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended! This little cabin is a great spot to relax and connect with nature. The hot tub at night makes it a great experience and it’s just a short trip away from ski Apache.

  • Ken's place is a feast for the eyes. So much beautiful art and interesting architecture make it unique. This is my second visit, I brought friends to show them how special it is.

  • Adorable little casita, peaceful setting, and great hospitality. Will visit again!

    Angel2020-03-04T00:00:00Z

Sway in an indoor hammock in a wide open, light-filled space. This period adobe was originally the dance studio of renowned flamenco artist, Maria Benitez. Today it's been reimagined as a semi-rustic, romantic getaway in a private park-like setting.
Built in the 1950's as a dance studio, this large (860 square foot) open plan stand studio house still has it's original oak flooring and rough hewn vigas (beams). It has a rustic southwestern feel without the cliche: a mix of antique, mid-century and contemporary features. There are large new windows and skylights which provide an abundance of natural light and a lovely view of the large trees your own private 1/4 acre property. Casita Benitez feels romantic, whimsical, cozy, bohemian, and a retreat like getaway as well as a fabulous place to unwind. It is also an excellent home base for exploring Taos and surrounding areas. The kingsize bed is dressed with premium organic bedding and very comfortable. The living area has a cozy sofa, chairs and hammock for the ultimate relaxing. The kitchen area has a full size refrigerator, gas oven/stove, all the necessary dish-ware, cook-ware, coffeemaker, toaster, blender, and microwave. The dining table seats 4. The bathroom has a brand new clawfoot tub with shower. There is a large covered porch with views of the big silver poplar trees as well as a enclosed porch with bistro. There is high speed WIFI, Cable TV, and Netflix. For those that need to work there is also is a desk and chair. Although the Casita is large and spacious there are no walls so if you are planning on having more then two guests just be aware there is not much privacy for 3. The sofa is not a pull out but comfortable enough to sleep 1 under 6ft tall. I also can provide a single fold out mattress so please indicate in advance if you plan on having a 3rd guest and I will set aside the proper provisions.
Casita Benitez is in the Canon neighborhood, a mile from Taos city limits, in the foothills of Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The area is filled with Spanish and Native history. Great hiking trails at El Nogal in the Carson National Forest are nearby.
  • What a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle. The Casita was beautifully decorated and cozy. Justin made us feel so welcome and cared for. The bed is very comfortable with amazingly soft sheets and cozy bedding. We loved sipping wine on the front patio and swinging in the hammock while listening to the birds in the trees. We enjoyed a lovely and meaningful tea ceremony with Jade, and all the recommended hikes and restaurants were great. We especially loved the Love Apple and Chokola. We were not able to go to the Pueblo because it was closed for religious ceremonies until April, but overall we had a memorable and restful stay and would love to come back.

  • Great space - very much enjoyed it. Host was super nice and always looking for ways to offer advice and make stay a good experience. One of the better Airbnb experiences I’ve had.

    Eric2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Located just 2 miles out of town but felt very secluded. The space itself was beautiful and felt like home. Very relaxing. If you’re on the edge, book it, you won’t regret it.

    Lindsey2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Exceeded my expectations for sure. Open, comfortable and private! I look forward to returning for a longer stay!

    Rob2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re considering booking this place, JUST DO IT! It was exactly what we wanted for our little getaway. The location was excellent & the space couldn’t have been cuter. There were so many thoughtful details that made everything extra special. The communication was easy and they even checked in to make sure we were doing okay. The only downfall was that we couldn’t stay longer and had to get back to real life! 10/10!

    Tana2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • WOW! What a fantastic experience from start to finish. Justin was such a lovely host. He was in communication to make sure we were well taken care of - he provided recommendations around town, easy check-in instructions, and made sure we had everything we needed once we had arrived. The Casita itself is simply beautiful. Better than photos! The decor is special and the space felt private and cozy. We couldn't have had a better stay. Oh - the BED! It's possibly more comfortable than my bed at home, which I take great pride in :) The bamboo sheets are buttery soft and the bed feels like a cloud. Easily the best Airbnb bed experience we've ever had. I 100% recommend staying here and can't wait to return.

    Noelle2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great amenities and serene place

    Diana2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Magical Casita! My husband and I stayed in the casita for our first wedding anniversary and it exceeded all of our expectations. The property itself is cozy, quaint and quiet; the perfect place for a secluded getaway(still just 8-10 minutes away from Main Street). The casita caught our eyes with it’s authentic & beautiful decor and delightful natural light. The kitchenette had everything we needed. The king size bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. We checked the tags to buy our own set of sheets. Justin, the host, provided us with a list to the best restaurants in town & places to visit. He was very thoughtful and available for all of our questions. We highly recommend this Casita for anyone looking for a magical space! We will return very soon!

88/100 Walkscore! This apartment is located downtown and is within walking distance of coffee shops, dining, bars, nightlife, convenience stores, a laundromat, etc. There is also a bicycle rental station located just down the block. Catch a show at Albuquerque’s historic El Rey Theater, only two blocks to the east! Old Town is just a short drive away! There is quick freeway access to easily get around the city. On Saturdays (May-November) the park across the street comes to life. The Downtown Grower's Market is a local gem filled with fresh fruits/vegetables, tasty treats, and local artisan crafts. Just as with the downtown area of most major cities, Albuquerque's Downtown has a large population of eccentric, transient, and homeless people. This is something for you to be aware of but not alarmed by. I live in this neighborhood and feel comfortable walking alone or with my young children, though I do pay careful attention to my surroundings just as I would anywhere.
  • Lacy's place is compact, efficient, and fun. It's the perfect size for a couple for 5 days. We loved being able to walk anywhere in downtown Albuquerque. It's a neighborhood in transition, but with friendly people everywhere! There IS traffic noise, but it's not excessive, and unlike downtown Chicago, where we live, we didn't have to listen to sirens! There's some local color on Sunday nights as the Low-riders strut their stuff, but they stop by 10. The laundromat is clean, large, and only one block away. If you're in Albuquerque, we highly recommend this space.

    Scottie2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lacy's place was a perfect place to stay in the area. The home was so comfortable to stay into and stylish as well. Lacy was easy to communicate with and check-in instructions were clear. Would recommend!

  • I loved my stay 💘. I felt cozy; there were tissues, coffee, a hair dryer, body lotion.... I was tired on road trip and felt like I had everything I needed. The space was clean and Lacy was very hospitable!! The tips for where to order food for delivery helped so much. 🌿

  • Loved our stay here! Was a quick walk from downtown and was very cozy and comfortable.

    Jasmin2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great unit, just as described. The location was excellent, and security of the unit was impressive considering that it's walking distance to several great bars along Central. While it didn't bother me, you will notice quite a bit of road noise. Also, no shampoo/conditioner/cleanser was provided in the shower, so be sure to bring your own. All in all an exceptional stay!

    Andy2020-02-10T00:00:00Z

“Sprucewood” is one of the few original 1940s split-log cabins in the popular and wooded Upper Canyon. Filled with new, modern-rustic design, it’s an historical gem at the top of the hill, with deck overlooking distant mountain peaks, pines, and cabins. Friendly deer walk through the yard. The river is a scenic stroll away. An easy hike through the woods of Perk Canyon is a 2-minute drive; shops & dining are a 5-minute drive. With hot tub, and ski-lodge decor, it screams mountain cabin getaway
Sprucewood is unique in Upper Canyon due to being one of the few original split-log cabins from 1940. While it boasts seniority in the Upper Canyon, it also has the modern amenities. The front, upstairs deck has a dining table for 5, a gas bbq grill, and feels like a treehouse overlooking the neighborhood below. Amidst towering Pines, it’s the perfect place for morning coffee and breakfast. The living room has a modern gas fireplace, tv with cable and DVD player, WiFi, a leather loveseat, and large couch. The open floor plan and enormous kitchen island make the upstairs living area great for socializing while preparing meals. Two private, queen-size bedrooms are upstairs, with a full, updated bathroom between them, equipped with glass vessel sink. The downstairs bedroom has a new king-size bed, its own private bathroom with slate shower (no bath), tv, WiFi, and cable. The downstairs bedroom can only be accessed by the exterior staircase, and has its own exterior door. There is no interior stairwell. Makes a perfect, private Master Suite. Step out the front door of the downstairs bedroom and about 8 steps up, and you are on the upper deck. The back deck features a hot tub large enough to seat 6 (with optional color-changing lights), and extra seating that offers a more hidden, tucked away atmosphere. Sprucewood cabin is fully equipped with all dishes, cooking utensils, mixing bowls, blender, crockpot, pots/pans, coffee pot, etc. Everything you would need for a relaxing escape. Pour a glass of wine, grill some steaks on front deck, and keep your eyes peeled for the occasional black bear that may roam thru the neighborhood! Ruidoso, and especially the Upper Canyon, is truly a magical place!!
Sprucewood Cabin is located in the historic Upper Canyon. Surrounded by tall ponderosa pines and adjacent to the national forest. The Perk Canyon trail head is about 1/4 mile from the cabin. It's a short walk down to the Rio Ruidoso river. The heart of Ruidoso is a short 1.5 mile drive or just 5-7 miles to ski run road. It's the perfect place to escape and relax. It's not uncommon to see wildlife roaming the area. Deer, turkeys, elk, and occasionally black bears.

  • The pictures don’t do this tiny house justice. Very clean and cozy. It was much better than expected. Easy to access, parking was easy, and check out was easy. I felt safe in the area. Great location to activities. Shanti communicated very well and in a timely manner. Will Definitely come back.

  • A wonderful little place in the heart of Albuquerque

    Sigi2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • As described! Shanti knew we were arriving late at night, and helped to make our check-in as smooth as possible. Clean, cute, and the loft bed was so so comfy.

    H.2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay at Shanti’s place. The home was clean, well decorated, quiet and in a great location. This goes without saying (as the photos do it justice) but the bed/loft area has a very low ceiling (so you can’t stand up in the space) and requires a ladder to access. So if you have limited mobility, very tall, or if you don’t want to climb up and down in the middle of the night - it may not be the best sleeping space. Otherwise, the bed is very comfy, there were great touches throughout the house, and the location was wonderful. Walking distance to tons of restaurant, coffee etc. The perfect place to spend a few days in ABQ.

    Tiffany2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Shanti was a great host who had a fabulous spot to explore Albuquerque. We would definitely stay again!

    Suzanne2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish, inspired place in a FANTASTIC location! Host...quick to respond to questions. We were there but for a night. Next time will stay longer to engage with and learn from Shanti the fair city of Albuquerque, NM !

    Denise2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely space, and Shanti is a generous host. The tiny house is really well designed, and all we really needed. Sleeping in the loft is an adventure, but the mattress is good, and the windows up there make it a comfortable sleep. Nice shower, just a really great space. We would stay again if we had the chance.

Gorgeous mountain views and all of the comforts of home greet you in this beautiful 1954 Silver Dome travel trailer located just minutes from town and the area's outdoor and culinary attractions. Enjoy a full bedroom, bathroom (with new plumbing finally!), kitchen and living room with a mid-century aesthetic and inviting fenced yard.
Bright sunshine streams through the many windows of this rare mid century coach and provide stunning views of the mountains in nearly every direction. Sunrise, sunset and the starry nights are unencumbered by city lights, and you can enjoy the show from the coziness of the trailer or from the huge fenced yard. The trailer itself boasts many amazing original features, along with updated plumbing and electrical systems, a stove, microwave and refrigerator and a darling turquoise bathroom with a tub and shower. The bedroom features a full sized bed with a brand new mattress, lots of cozy linens, a built-in vanity, and of course those gorgeous windows to the stars. The sofa in the living rooms pulls out into another full sized bed if you need additional sleeping space. Heat is provided by two radiant heaters and the original crank windows can be opened to let in the fresh mountain air. All outlets work and wireless internet is available 24/7. Step out the door and enjoy a deck and fire pit in a large, fully fenced yard shared with my own home (a pristine 1957 Spartan Imperial Villa mobile home). This is a great place to spend a night or two in the tranquility of the mountain, under the New Mexico stars. We are all about respecting the space and our neighbors on the hill by keeping the noise down and limiting access only to those on the reservation. You'll find this makes for a wonderful evening for all! Whether you've been trailer park dreamin' and want to try the vintage trailer life on for size or are just looking for a unique, comfy home away from home in Taos, you've found it!
The trailer is located off Lower Los Colonias Road in El Prado, just 5 miles from the intersection with Highway 64. From that intersection (known by locals as the blinking light), it's just a few minutes to the Taos Mesa Brewery and the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge to the west and a few minutes to historic Arroyo Seco and the Taos Ski Valley the other direction. The Taos plaza with its abundance of art, culture and culinary delights is just 12 minutes away, and there are plenty of shopping and eating opportunities in between.
  • Amy’s place is adorable, I fell in love with all of the thoughtful details. Would definitely recommend!

  • What a delightful stay we had in the 1954 Silver Dome Travel Trailer! Amy’s warm hospitality, artful touches around the trailer and cozy climes made for a joyous stay. We can’t wait to return and awake to the sweet snorts of Queen Maxine :)

    Camille2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very cool place! Amy has it decorated very chic and it truly is a vintage trailer. The yard has plenty of deck space and fire pits for hanging out. My stop was quick since we had to get on the road the next day, so it would be great to come back with a group and even utilize both trailers on the property. For the night, it was comfy, cozy and warm! Thanks, Amy!

    Jenna2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This boho trailer is brilliant and cozy! Amy left plenty of notes and local recommendations. The bed was comfortable. The outdoor fireplace is the perfect gem along with adorable and cozy chairs. Will be coming back!

  • 100% plan on booking this spot again next year. Such a stellar place to stay.

    Amanda-Jo2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Amy’s trailer was everything we expected and more!! It had everything we needed for our one night stay, plus tons of wonderful tips and recommendations for the area. The view was spectacular. The decor was warm and welcoming with every detail considered. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Taos.

    Christina2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Amy, and this trailer, were the absolute BEST. We feel very lucky to have had the chance to experience Taos with the help of Amy. We were there mainly for skiing, but ended up spending a decent amount of time in the town! Only about 30 minutes from Taos Ski Valley, and 15 or so from town - it was in a lovely location. And her furry friends are wonderful! Between the 5 dogs and her piggy, Maxine, you will have loads of cuddles. 10/10 recommend, we’ll absolutely be back - hopefully soon!

  • There are a few trailers in a group that make it feel like you're not completely alone, but its separate enough from the town that it feels very beautiful and remote. The trailer is very comfortable, check-in was easy. Make sure you say hi to Maxine the pig.

The bed is high off ground and requires a step stool to get in. Additional single floor mattress, small kitchenette, bathroom with standing shower. this is a true tiny house with small hot water heater that last 5 to 6 minutes of hot water and 45 minutes to refill with hot water. My neighborhood represents the heart of Albuquerque once the main rail yard neighborhood, I am a 3 min Uber ride or 10 min bike ride from the main transportation hub, and the rail runner when I feel like taking a train ride up north to Santa Fe. I am a short Uber/biking distance from some of the best breweries in town. I am also 1 mile from downtown/ Convention Center. Small city and advise people to not walk alone in the evening no matter what area.
  • Cute, cozy space, had everything I needed. Very convenient location. Great host.

  • This was our first stay at a tiny house, and it was delightful! The comfortable bed, bathroom and kitchen all made for a cozy experience. It was a real treat!

  • The Tiny Zia is an awesome, unique and cozy experience! Great location and walking or biking distance to all the things I was visiting for. Drew is an excellent host; very responsive and flexible with great instructions and local tips. The bikes, coffee maker and affordable mini bar options were a nice touch. He even worked with me to extend my stay when I fudged up my reservation. Highly recommend.

  • This is the perfect spot for anyone in need of a beautiful place to relax, spread out and recharge. We enjoyed relaxing on the quiet patio with cups of freshly brewed coffee and tea. Melanie is thoughtful, communicative and friendly.

  • If you’re looking for a hospitable host, look no further! Melanie’s place was absolutely charming, cozy, and wonderfully scenic! This Airbnb is definitely an experience, not a place to just crash on your way to and from a location. Stay here to relax and have the most hospitable experience. Also they offered us eggs, which was very kind, and they were delicious.

  • At Humming Grove, expect to feel the warm embrace of a home that’s been thoughtfully put together to make you feel welcome. The decor and even utility pieces are like works of art. Many things are environmentally-friendly without being in your face about it. It’s quiet and spacioussss! And this refers to both the living spaces and grounds. If you are new to the area, Melanie will clue you in on all the best local places. We really enjoyed our time at Humming Grove.

  • Melanie's was a super cute, super clean getaway. It's located south of Santa Fe but very close to amazing restaurants (Fina Cafe and Harry's Roadhouse). Easy access to I-25 and only about 12 minutes to Santa Fe shopping. Lovely place.
