This is an amazing host. They went out of their way to make our anniversary special by cooking special delicacies. By giving us breakfast in bed. And a whole lot of extra snacks for our hike the next day.

It was great staying at Emmas place. Her parents actually live there and she helps them to do the booking. Tricia her mum was do great and caring that I was fine after my long day. Very nice people! It felt like staying home. Thanks a lot to a great - unfortunately only short stay - and will come again.

Great place. Clean, spacious, quite and super value for money

Very nice accommodation in a quiet side street in Wilderness. We were there for paragliding and the Flyer's Lodge but also the center is within walking distance. The accommodation was clean, equipped with all necessary utensils and we felt very comfortable. Thanks again

The Stable is a delightfuly tasteful cottage with all that you need for a relaxing and comfortable get away the rooms are large and airy the quietness uncompared a large living space and a sizeable kitchen Phil is an amazing host nothing was too much trouble the cottage is clean and linen of a high standard . Phil told us of lovely things to do in the area ,waterfalls ,bush walks picnic spots fabulous sunsets very special Thankyou Phil

Sparkling clean cottage on a farm 3km outside of Porterville. We caught a thermal directly above the farm that took us to 1500m during the paragliding competition. Lovely cottage with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Thanks Wilna

Peaceful and private location. Beautiful views with sounds of nature. Great for stargazing. The cottage is cosy with charming features and is well equipped with necessities. Very clean and tidy. Would happily visit again.

The cottage is really stunning, set on a farm just out of town. Beautiful and private. For us as two couples it was great, clean and nicely appointed. Just may be a bit isolated if travelling alone or with some small kids.( which may not be communicated in the listing) But stunning otherwise!!!

Our room at Rendezvous was gorgeous and so comfortable. We enjoyed the large room, TV, air conditioning, and big soft bed. Their breakfast was amazing. We wish we could have stayed longer. The toilet does not have a door, but a wardrobe that blocks it's view to the rest of the room.

The Koejawel huis is a cute little cottage set in a peaceful guava orchard. Very private and quiet and offers great views. The hot tub and large pit fire were fantastic amenities. Kathy and her husband were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed and were excellent with communication. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back.

Kathy’s Koejawelhuisie was an absolute treat! Porterville gets quite hot in summer so would recommend to go in winter to enjoy the kolkol tub under the stars. Ideal for a weekend city escape.

For those who want absolute tranquility this is the perfect spot. The tub was great. Sadly for us the moon was far to bright for stargazing.

Beautiful cottage in a remote location. We loved walking between the flowers, crops and guava trees. The fire pit and hot tub were also lovely.

We had an absolutely magical stay here. The house is perfectly designed and equipped to get the most out of its stunning location in the mountains. Nearby dam to swim in, rock pools to explore and plenty of spots to just laze around and enjoy the tranquility. Renshaw was also lovely and helpful during our stay.

Amazing hikes to waterfalls, wonderful views from a breezy hammock and a spectacular night sky. Our stay at Rooibos Cottage was wonderful and we'll certainly be back!

Rooibos cottage is amazing if you want peace and quiet and also great for activities. We did all the walks to the waterfalls and up into the valley towards Dwars River. Take a picnic and spend a few hours exploring the waterfalls, it's beautiful. A true paradise for nature lovers, with all the convenience of staying in a well equipped cottage with great views.

We had a wonderful relaxing stay. Very quiet and peaceful. We were able to braai and cook all weekend. Bedding and towels were clean and everything was of great standard. We were very comfortable and the shower pressure was good. There were paths to go on hikes and explore. We spotted a few animals. There are quite a lot of moths & flies at night time but sleeping with the mosquito net down allowed us to sleep fine. Keeping an outside light on also kept most bugs outside. We would definitely go back!

Great breakaway from the city life. Great farm with lovely cottage overlooking the mountains. Everything you need to just take time out and relax. Kids enjoyed the farm dam. I would highly recommend this lovely cottage for breakaway and great time to connect with nature.

What a great cottage!!!! Beautiful surroundings and in the middle of nowhere but with all the luxuries you can wish for. Would recommend traveling with a 4x4 or similar car as the gravel road is very uneven.

An amazing place, would highly recommend staying here. Make sure you bring all your supplies as the closet shop is a 45min drive. Talk about views.. wow.!!! So peaceful and so much to do. This place is perfect for cold weather and hot weather. Such a gem and Reneshaw the farms keeper was so helpful and friendly.

We had a fantastic stay, this house in the middle of nowhere offers an incredible view ! The place is spacious and conveniently equipped, we will plan a trip there again.

My friends and I booked the place for the weekend. The location is remote, rugged and stunning! The house itself is perfect for a family getaway. The kitchen is kitted out and good for preparing meals. The “stoep” out back has a stunning view of the valley below. The location is remote, and the last bit of dirt road can be slightly tricky. But doable so long as your car is not very low off the ground. Once there, the nature is stunning and very relaxing. There is a dam, and plenty of places to explore in the mountains. Renshaw, the property caretaker, is very friendly and has plenty of advice for how to make the most of your time there. I will definitely be back soon.

We absolutely loved our stay at Excelsior Cottages! We had a big group with a mix of families with kids, marrieds without kids and singles and we all had the BEST time. The views are incredible with the cottage located at the top of a hill with bright yellow canola and wheat fields as well as the mountain ranges in front of you (which had some snow) made for a picturesque setting. There is a large lawn which gets sun for most of the day and in late afternoon the second lounge get lovely afternoon sun. There is a great braai area with lots of seating and even wind covers which can be pulled down if windy. It is very family friendly with little touches that make the kids have so much fun. There is space for kids to ride bikes right in front of the lawn so you can keep an eye on little less experienced riders. Lizce is a very hospitable host who answered all our questions before our arrival. She made arrangements for us to get key from combo lock safe outside the front door and this made for easy arrival. Would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back.

Farmhouse is perched on a hill top with stunning views over the surrounding landscape. The house easily accommodated a large family of 16. We were comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed joyed our stay.

Huge house in the middle of fields. Only 7 km from Porterville. Perfect for a large group. Espace Braii very nice.

The perfect self-sustaining, middle-of-nowhere get away. Beautiful views across the fields out to the mountains, amazing sunsets and sunrises, and the mountain spring-fed swimming dam was the best place to take it all in. Comfy beds, great outdoor braai facilities, and it accommodated our 14 person New Years' celebrations absolutely perfectly.
