Places to stay in Scappoose
This wonderful, private little gem is just a few easy walking blocks from plentiful drinking, dining, dispensing, yoga & coffee spots. You will be one block from Woodlawn Park, 2 blocks from a bus and a 5 minute drive from the Alberta Shopping and Arts District. It's all so comfortably close by, but not close enough to disturb your relaxing, sweet retreat. Come have it all while living small in this tiny, artsy home away from home!
This space was built as a Model T Garage in 1926 behind a 1915 bungalow but it has had a face lift and has taken on a new life as a cozy, warm freestanding studio made mostly from reclaimed materials. A "tiny house" if you will, sweetly positioned between fruit trees and a garden sitting area. The sleeping loft comfortably sleeps two and there is a futon below the loft where one can enjoy a book while the other naps above. Occasionally you will hear the trains in the distance which adds a touch of nostalgia and you get to wake to the relaxing clucking and cooing of the neighborhood hens as this area has a nice spattering of urban farms and lots of mature trees. The table pictured here has been replaced with a "garden shed" counter that houses a small, removable basin sink. There is also a rustic, rough hewn armoire to hang clothes and tuck away your backpacks. The little kitchenette corner is stocked with utensils, a two burner cooktop, a mini fridge, a microwave, coffee and a coffee press. The studio's setup is more akin to a cabin, and as many cabins go, there is no bathroom. You will be given a key to the main house so please feel comfortable enough to come in and use the facilities. By the way, it is insulated, well heated, and stocked with plenty of blankets so it is a wonderful, warm hideaway in the fall and winter months as well. Yep, snuggly wifi too. The yard is plentiful with flowers and fruit bearing trees (figs and delicious yellow plums) in the summertime, as well as an array of veggies in the gardens where you can sit amongst the trees and regroup after a hard day at Powells Books. If you intend to bring a pet (or two) please message me BEFORE booking to confirm details and the pet fee. It's within a 5 minute walk from the heart of Woodlawn which has some fantastic spots to shop, drink, dance, and dine: -Firehouse Restaurant, somewhat romantic with good service -Woodlawn Coffee House, for plenty of people watching -Breakside Brewery, to grab a bite and catch up on the game -Grand Army Tavern, have some pork with your...pork : ) -Good Neighbor Pizza, laid back & late night too -P's & Q's Market serves yummy meals and a few grocery items -The Village Ballroom, for Square Dance and Special events -Uptown Cycles, sales and repairs -Portland Girl, spa day anyone? -Greener Grasses, well-rated dispensary -Koken Market, for almost any beer you want, snacks -Café Eleven, art, coffee, lunch & some pastries -Oregon Public House, the nation's 1st nonprofit pub -The Highwater Mark, rock pub with pool & hip hop on last Fridays -Tamale Boy, authentic & delicious with lots of outside seating -Bassato Gelato, 12 rotating flavors+bagels in the morning -HighWheel Mead, open Thurs-Sunday -(Seasonally) Woodlawn Farmer's Market at Woodlawn Triangle, Sat. 10-2 Downtown is a 15 minute drive. The Alberta Arts District is also just minutes away so you can hop on a bike and be right in the middle of the jam-packed Last Thursday Art Walk or make a day of it with shopping, dinner and some delicious ice cream from the infamous Salt & Straw. Then come "home" to your quieter retreat where you can just relax and lay in the hammock.....ahhhh. And as the area is well surrounded by beautiful, mature trees, you may decide to enjoy dinner in the love seat swing under the pergola and watch the evening sky. It is a wonderful theatre for watching small bats do their sky routine in the distance. Flying in? This spot is only 10 minutes from the airport. And while in Portland, you may want some wheels! Well, this location is very close to Zipcars and you can sign up with them or Car2go on their sites in advance of your stay. Check out Turo or Getaround to grab a vehicle to tool But if you want to explore the city on two wheels, Everybody Bike Rentals or Ebikes ( electric bike rentals) are the spots to hit first (10 min. by bus). They provide helmets and locks too! ***If you don't see the dates available on the calendar that you had hoped for or if you are traveling with more than two people, please check out my other listing (#95313) which is also a private studio at the same location. It is larger and complete with a private entry and bathroom. Just ask me! Parking is close and the livin' is pretty easy. So please get that profile completed, then contact me and come kick up your heels and stay a while! Oh! P.S. Please read the description, house rules and post a pic of you in your profile beforehand just so that everyone is on the same page. Much appreciated. Cheers!
  • This space is lovely and was great for our short stay, as we were mostly out and about and spent very little time at the house. Just a heads up, it is literally a renovated shed, so the experience is slightly rustic. Nonetheless, great for a shorty trip and has all the basic necessities.

With just the right amount of space for two, this studio has everything that makes a house feel like a home: a fireplace, a full kitchen, King Memory foam Bed, oak floors, handmade furniture, cable tv with HBO, and a private entrance.
This studio is a welcoming space in the center of an historic neighborhood that offers a unique perspective on the city of Portland. Ask me for in-depth info on where to go and what to see in the Irvington neighborhood, the Alberta Arts District, and other parts of Northeast Portland! Over the years, I’ve gotten to know quite a few incredible places to eat, drink, shop, and explore here. Located at the hub of some of Portland’s most interesting neighborhoods, this studio places the whole city at your fingertips. But adventure can be tiring, and the studio offers ample opportunity to put your feet up. Portland can get nippy at night, and a real wood fireplace, stocked with firewood from locally harvested and dried urban hardwood trees, is the perfect way to warm up and feel at home. The apartment has high ceilings and a great fireplace; it’s minimally decorated but has all the important things: a king bed, a couch with a coffee table, a small desk, a dresser and extra shelves, and a kitchen table. The kitchen comes fully stocked with the essentials for cooking a real meal, and the bathroom always has towels, soap and shampoo. The space is located on the first floor of a large 1910 home, which was converted to an eight-plex in the 1940s to adapt to the demands of WWII. I have lived in Irvington for 14 years and Portland for 25, and this house is one of the most unique that I’ve seen.
The Irvington neighborhood, now only a ten minute bike ride from downtown, was once a trolley-car suburb to the just-fully-developed West side. Designated a historic district by the National Register of Historic Places in 2010, Irvington is filled with early 20th century homes that have been preserved in their original states. Irvington has become a livable hub of Northeast Portland as a whole, with shops and restaurants of all kinds, within walking distance, surrounding the neighborhood. Irvington proper boasts more than a few community and culinary destinations of its own.
  • Really awesome space with everything you’d need to cook your own food (plates, knives, pots and pans, oven, microwave, wine and bottle openers, etc). One of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on as well. Would definitely recommend!

  • Great place to stay, very clean and comfortable. Amazing allocation and great response from Jason. Definitively recommended.

  • This is a nice clean studio apartment on a quiet street in Northeast Portland. Downtown is easily accessible by public transport. Uber was only 11 dollars. Whole Foods is a 10 minute walk from here. The amenities in the home were stocked so that cooking a hot breakfast was easy. Again everything was clean and we definitely would stay again.

    Natalie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This stylish, clean space is located in a very walkable and historic neighborhood. It’s close to shops and cafes. Easy parking. I appreciated the easy checkin. The space is very classy with a simple and open design plan. Loved the kitchen and tv space. Only stayed one night but it would be great for a longer stay. I would definitely stay again.

    Heather2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very nice and clean. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was in a great location in a very desirable neighborhood. I do want want to make a comment that I am sure that the host is already aware of. Just be prepared if you are a taller individual you may have some difficulty using the bathroom since the shower is very tiny along with the bathroom itself. Other than that, this was a very comfortable stay. Thank you again.

    Amy2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible place! Great location, phenomenal value, and whomever designed it has incredible taste. I hope I’ll get the chance to stay here the next time I’m in town and in the meantime, I’ll recommend friends there during their Portland trips. Don’t hesitate on this place, it is pure magic.

  • Hannah and Jason's place is such a cozy spot in Portland. It's in a great location, in a quiet neighborhood.

    Dro2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a must if you are staying in Portland. It is located very close to downtown and quite near public transport. The check in was simple and easy. The studio itself is very cute, large, and has all that you can need. I will be back next time I am in town, and recommend this place to everyone. Thank you Hannah and Jason!

  • Very clean! Easy check in & check out! Would recommend.

  • Great host and nice accommodations. The bed was extremely comfortable with nice linen and the room had a desk for getting work done. Place was clean, quiet, and was within walking distance to cool stuff. Very thoughtful host too. I can't sleep without a fan and they were nice enough to leave one in the room for me when I asked about this. There was also a fridge and microwave in the room. Very much like a hotel. TV as well. I accidentally took the keys with me when I left and they were so nice about it! Many people will charge you, but the host was super cool and told me I could mail the keys back to him. The room also has its own temperature control, and it was quiet. I will definitely book with them again!

    Jennifer2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great little escape. Cool neighborhood. Located on busy MLK road. Single pane windows. Place itself was spotless and cozy. Restroom and shower shared with other residents. Felt super clean. Check in process smooth. Safe(ish) to walk around neighborhood at night.

5 miles from Airport. Approx. $15 Uber or Lyft ride! Virus cleaning precautions: read description to see what measures we are taking to create a healthy stay. Cozy bedroom with warm, lively colors. This house was featured in Portlandia's 2014 season in the hilarious "Rent-It-Out," sketch! Perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Portland. We have a 5 y.o. and are in and out of the house from 8am-8pm. Quiet hours are 10pm-7am and are truly quiet.
Virus cleaning precautions: staying healthy is important to us and you are included in that! We are taking extra measures to sanitize all surfaces: doorknobs, light switches, faucet handles, anything hands would touch many times/day. Additionally and always, sanitized and fresh linens are stocked including a new duvet cover for every guest. Please take advantage of Airbnb’s more lenient cancellation policy if you are sick and need to cancel. Likewise, we promise to cancel reservations if we fall ill. Thank you for your attention and care while we all work to create a clean and healthy environment for all of us. I am pleased and excited to announce that this house has been graced by none other than Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein of Portlandia for a sketch entitled "Rent-It-Out!" More Portlandia photos coming soon... Private room with Queen size bed in my home near Alberta Arts district. Surrounded by gardens and artistic works, this home is a gallery and gathering space for special events such as concerts, yoga classes, art openings and other happenings. This is the Cully neighborhood with large, sprawling lots full of gardens and mature trees and walking distance to all of the art, food and music you desire on Portland's famous Alberta Street. Near major bus lines and MAX, this town is known for it's simple and efficient public transportation. Our neighborhood has it all though: art galleries, wine bars, sake house, sushi, Thai Food, African food, Ale houses, a plethora of restaurants, music venues, parks, shopping, art and food carts, tea houses, dessert spots, bike rental, bike paths, walking paths, unique local-made clothing/jewelry, vintage second-hand store, theatre, New Season's grocery store offering conscious, organic choices, and a couple of pizza pubs and food carts. The bedroom is spacious with about 180 sq. ft, a queen size bed, other sitting options, good light, bamboo floor, and a shared restroom just a few feet away. During your stay, you may encounter private vocal or guitar lessons (you are invited to book a private session!), concerts open to the public (and you!) or an occasional facilitated public event. We’ll make sure you get a heads-up and an invite. The house has many common spaces to enjoy such as the living room, front porch and garden in the front yard. Here you can expect a peaceful, relaxing stay or getaway. The house is clean, tidy, bright and welcoming. Currently I am showing ceramics, photographs and paintings. More to come! I am a ceramic artist and have works on display. The pictured baby grand piano is used by Portland vocalist Jonathan Brinkley to teach voice lessons from time to time. His sessions are playful, inspiring, refreshing, and benefit more than just singing. He is available should you decide you'd like an impromptu lesson!
We’re close to Alberta St., NE 42nd Ave, NE Fremont and NE Killingsworth and only a few miles from Mississippi St.. Tons to do/see/eat/play and explore in our hood!

  • Jennifer and her family were great hosts! I found her place to be super charming. The room was accommodating with just about everything I needed, and the bed was a treat. Super soft and the sheets felt like butter:) I forgot that I'd booked this room with a shared bathroom, but I honestly never had to wait to get in, so if felt more private even if it wasn't. Her home was close to everything I needed to see, and overall, I'd definitely book again if I ever return:)

Almost everything in this space is new. The tiled bathroom has a nice shower with a modern sink. The kitchen has everything you need, from pots and pans to a coffee maker. Modern new heating units keep things toasty in the winter and extra windows keep the space nice and bright. Overlook is named for the nearby bluffs that look down onto the city center and the Willamette River, offering great sunsets and activity areas (lots of dogs, running and biking). There's a strong core of restaurants, bars, grocery stores and coffee.
  • This was a great basement apartment, very close to the city but in a quiet suburb. You do hear some foot traffic from the floor above, but that’s to be expected when someone is living above you. It was clean, comfortable, and convenient, and we had a great time!

    Laura2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little place with everything you need at a charming location near Coffeeshops and restaurants. Plenty of street parking near the house. Bedroom is tucked in the back, very quiet and comfy. Complimentary tea, which is nice for rainy mornings. Stephani is quick to respond and made my check in easy with the human touch knowing my flight gets in late. I also love that they are environmental conscious in terms of energy usage.

    Sophia Jiaqi2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Stephani’s place was great! It was very clean and had everything we needed + more. I would stay here again!

    Amber2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! The basement apartment was very clean and spacious. It was a quick walk the Max Rail, and easy to drive anywhere as well. The hosts were very helpful with instructions on how to check in, and they were so quiet it felt like we were in our own separate building.

    Noel2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • we stayed at Stephanie's place for around 10 days. It was easy to find, super clean and just an enjoyable space. The area is fantastic with lots of local eateries close by. A supermarket and local transport are also only a few minutes away. Would definitely stay again when I make it back to Portland

    Mirko2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Stephani's while getting one of our boys moved to college in the Pearl District. The space was sparkling clean, comfortable, spacious and well appointed. We had fun drawing on the chalkboard wall, cooked meals in the bright and open kitchen and enjoyed walks in the neighborhood. We will be back!

    Monica2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Stefani’s beautiful place with super short notice. I needed fast responses and I don’t think it ever took more than 3 minutes for her replies. Also, she was very flexible and helpful. The place is absolutely great! So fresh and clean with ample space. Thank you so much.

Stay in this famous movie house! For the first time ever, you are now able to experience the inside of the home, so loving referred to as the Twilight Swan House. This house was featured as the home of Charlie and Bella Swan in the movie Twilight. This charming 1930's home is located in a quiet neighborhood in downtown Saint Helens, within walking distance to the historic riverfront. Short drive to Portland.
This house was used for filming in the movie Twilight! Take photos recreating all of your favorite Twilight scenes! Dine at Charlie's actual dining table that was used in filming. Sleep in Bella's bedroom! Team Edward?--Sleep in the "lookout" room, overlooking the front yard, which is where Bella looks out the window to see Edward parked. Team Jacob?--Sleep in the "Jacob Black guest room", located off the main entry downstairs.
Walking distance from shopping and the historic riverfront district (0.6 miles)
  • We absolutely loved our stay at the Twilight Swan House! There were 5 adults staying at the house and there was plenty of space for all of us and more! The house was so clean and cozy and Amber was very easy to communicate with. We loved that all the Twilight movies were there for viewing along with popcorn. It was an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend!

From the first step inside, we were greeted with a sweet surprise welcome gift for our Anniversary & Valentine’s Day.... this was just the beginning of so many special touches & loving detail found in this AMAZING world Amber & Dean have created for the Twilight fandom! Each part of the house holds secret surprises & easter eggs fans are sure to love. We felt completely at home in the Twilight Swan House & can’t recommend it enough. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you Amber & Dean for such a special place!!

  • The Twilight Swan House was so comfortable and spacious. The house itself is gorgeous and the grounds are so well kept. Being within walking distance to downtown was fun, and we enjoyed seeing the wildlife- deer, birds and squirrels! Staying in the actual house used in "Twilight" was a dream come true. I can't wait to return - I've already booked it for a future stay! It's also a great location to stay when you want to see the filming locations of the movie.

  • The space is so cute and in such a great location! I loved the simplicity and modern look to the studio and also it was sparkling clean. Bed was comfortable and the mini kitchen was a nice touch, although we didn’t up using it. Definitely recommend this airbnb!

  • Anastasia’s place was exactly what we needed for a weekend in Portland! It was very clean and in the best location.

  • This is a small but squeaky clean apartment conveniently located near multiple transportation options in a quiet neighborhood on Portland's northwest side. The unit is very functional with all the essentials, comfortable bed under a sky light, kitchen, spacious bath and a remotely controlled heating unit. The apartment is in a leafy residential area but close to cafes, bars and restaurants; there's even a walk-in clinic in nearby. Needless to say we enjoyed our stay.

    Ovid2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay! We had no issues with the apartment or it’s location. It was a perfect stay. Also- the apartment is well decorated and simple. I felt like I was in an IKEA showroom 😊

My place is close to family-friendly activities. Its good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. We are located 20 mile from Down Town Portland and 30 minutes to the Portland Airport.
This is a studio apartment attached to our home. It has its own private keyless entry. Its own kitchen and bathroom as well. You will have little or no interaction with us. Up to you. Come and go as you please. Fully stocked kitchen with full fridge, range and microwave. We supply a variety of hot and cold cereals as well as coffee and tea. There are coffee shops and a grocery story within a 5 minute walk
We are located in Scappoose which is 30 minutes from downtown Portland. Easy 30 minutes to the Portland Airport. We are 10 minutes from the Scappoose Bay were kayaking and boating is a big deal. Rentals available as well. We are in a quiet residential neighborhood just off the Main highway. Grocery store 2 blocks away as well as restaurants and coffee shops.
  • I just love everything about this little home. Tim and Nadine are very accommodating. Everything is very clean, great linens and towels. 🌺🌺

  • A cozy little place perfect for one or two guests. Close to town and not a far drive to Portland. Everything you need for a comfortable stay including a warm heater for the chilly nights. Tim was also a pleasure to speak with and very hospitable.

  • Everything you need in one efficient layout. Love the home away from home vibe. Nice places to walk about. Quiet, cozy, comfortable.

    Aurelio2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at this little apartment! Everything was super clean, they had extra towels and blankets, and we really appreciated the reserved parking spot along the fence. The drive to and from Portland wasn’t bad - about 30 minutes but the view on the road that takes you in and out was gorgeous. The location is great, there’s a bunch of places to eat (try out Scappoose Bagels) and two grocery stores right down the road. This place had everything we wanted!

    Gabrielle2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is quiet, clean, lots of well-planned extras. Just a nice place to stay!

  • very stylish & Hollywood decor. lovely space & area. there was a bit of banging on the walls in the mornings but we were to worn out for it to bother. But overall great experience.

    Joanna2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a nice place. It's aptly described as tiny, but think cozy, not cramped. The apartment is full of little things that make your stay more comfortable. And speaking of comfortable, the bed is wonderful. Highly recommended.

  • Has everything you need. The whole place was super clean and really really cute inside. I loved the added touches of books for around the area with suggestions of what to do. Check in and out was simple and easy. Great place to stay!

FEATURED IN DWELL and SCHOOLHOUSE ELECTRIC. A gorgeous farm-setting just 15-minutes from downtown Portland; located on stunning Sauvie Island - a large river island and wildlife refuge - we are an organically-minded small farm and creative space. We love all the wild flora and fauna, and take great joy in wild spaces. A biking, birding, and aesthetic retreat from everyday life, we hope that each guest leaves feeling relaxed and inspired. The guest suite is modern, bright, and comfortable.
We have a gorgeous 300 square-foot guest suite (adjacent to our main house where we live) called "Tu Casa". It is located on our 7-acre+ farm on Sauvie Island - 10 miles from Downtown Portland, Oregon. Tu Casa is modern and bright and private, bursting with clean lines, lots of natural light, and a serene setting. You will have your own private bathroom, queen bed, small kitchenette for making cups of tea/coffee and light food prep, and lounge area with table workstation. There is also a covered patio with table and chairs just outside your french doors for your use alone. You can expect gorgeous views from every window and space on the property: an unreal view of St. Helens and the whole Cascade Range on a clear day and the surrounding orchards, vineyards, migrating birds, and farm animals everyday (we operate a sheep and alpaca fiber farm and both herds are right outside your windows). The sheep are known to linger right outside Tu Casa, making for a wonderfully sweet experience. Please do keep in mind that we have a hound dog and two full-of-joy toddlers, so some noise is common off and on between 8am-7pm, especially. There is also a rooster you can hear in the distance in the early mornings. If you are seeking true silence, our space is likely not a great fit.
In July and August, we have our upick blueberry season. You can pick to your heart's delight. We also usually have a load of farm fresh veggies and fruit for sale from our farm stand (onsite) from June 15-October 1. There is also a fabulous (packed on the weekends) sandy river beach about 15 minutes drive on island. So amazing. In Fall, three farms on the island have pumpkins, apple cider, and other Fall related stuff. Winter brings migratory birds, rain, and a real hunkering down feeling. Fog, fog horns, and the farmers sleeping in make it our second favorite season here. Whiskey by the fire and books. Spring is abound with bird watching, planting, and gorgeous sunrises. Biking happens year round.

  • We enjoyed this beautiful and unique space so much. The bathtub is amazing, along with relaxing in a spacious room with beautiful views of nature. We saw elk several times too! As mentioned in the description, keep in mind that the dogs do bark and it woke us up a few times during the night. This was the only drawback to a wonderful night away.

    Abby2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great place for people who enjoy the outdoors and secluded quite areas. My boyfriend and I needed a small getaway to relax and we did just that. We enjoyed a game of chess, music, and the bathtub was a great touch.

  • Emilia and Chris were wonderful hosts. The place was amazing, clean, cozy and it made you feel right at home. The provided everything you could need and more. We ended the day with a warm soak in the huge tub with jets and then off to bed in one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in. We woke up to an unexpected yet amazing gift of snow! It was a wonderful weekend and we will definitely be back for longer!

    Sunny2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolutely beautiful secluded getaway with an amazing bathtub — perfect for a night or two away from our busy lives. Super cozy bed, super stylish space, and such a restful feeling overall. Thank you!

  • I went to this lovely forest retreat to have some quiet alone time; as a working mom it feels like o literally need to drive away somewhere to find this peace! Their place is so comfortable, cozy, and relaxing. I loved the luxurious bathroom, the bed is just perfect and the fresh air and solitude was what I needed! When i told Emilia and Chris I was coming as a “mom day off” they got some really cool bath bombs that I definitely used to help me relax even more! They are kind and thoughtful and I highly recommend them as hosts and their lovely place as a perfect getaway. It’s only a 49 minute drive from the airport!

    Randali2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We’ve really enjoyed staying here. Emilia is a great host, always ready to help. The place is beautiful. The thing we loved the most was Emilia’s property where we’ve allowed to take walks - it’s an incredible piece of forest land and I wish I could spend more time there. Thank you!

    Sofiya2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was the second time we’ve stayed here and it’s always a mini vacation. The space is amazing! Its spacious with a large table, small eatery, a large sitting area and open floor plan. So many personal touches that make you feel right at home. The bathroom is where it’s at with this BNB. It features a spacious walk in shower and a two person garden tub that encourages a glass of wine and a good book. It’s the main reason we keep coming back. After you’ve spent enough time relaxing the perfect ending to the night is the bed. That mattress in this space is made with the hopes and dreams of small children. I had the best night of sleep in this bed! Can’t wait to stay again. The next time it will be longer!!!

    Sarah2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • 10/10 hands down the best air bnb I’ve come across. The hosts are great, friendly and suuuuuuuper accommodating. This was my second time staying here and I’m definitely going back for more getaways. The place is cute, open and has an awesome decor. The bed is extremely comfortable and the tub is AMAZING. You will definitely not leave disappointed, this place is the best! Will definitely recommend to all family and friends!

Private, upstairs space on beautiful Helvetia property! The home is fresh and clean and the beds are super comfortable. One bedroom is included with bookings of 1 or 2 guests, while both upstairs bedrooms are included with bookings of 3 or 4 guests. No cleaning fee and lower tax than in the city. All backgrounds are welcome.
There is a mini refrigerator, a microwave oven, an electric kettle, coffee and tea, and picnic ware in the guest space to take the place of kitchen access. When three or more guests are booked, the second upstairs bedroom is included. Fall asleep to the sound of silence, and wake up happy. The bathroom is a step away and exclusively for guests during their stay. The place is only 10 minutes from Hillsboro shopping, restaurants and Intel, 35 minutes from downtown Portland, and less than 5 minutes from the historic Rock Creek Tavern, a McMennamins restaurant with live music nightly).
This country neighborhood has gorgeous views! Great for walking or riding a bike and has one of the largest train trestles in the west a short walk away on Dick Rd. Most of the homes in the area are on 5 acres or more.
  • Hands down our favorite aspect of this space was the gorgeous views of rolling hills and farmland, vineyards, an incredible sunset and hearing springtime frogs in the distance. The location is just beautiful! And it was a delight to meet Heidi, warm up at the blazing wood stove and chat about wine making. I wish we had more time there!

    Hillary2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a relaxing, beautiful place to stay! The private area was so clean, calm, and refreshing that I would definitely stay here again. The house is in farm country - just a couple of miles off the main freeway - but you feel a thousand miles from anything. Heidi communicated exceptionally well and the "Welcome" message on the blackboard was really nice. Lots of restaurants and other amenities within a 10-15 minute drive. Come and relax here - you won't regret it.

  • Amazing house! Perfect getaway location. Great host! Thank You, Heidi!

    Marius2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what a cozy home in the country! We loved it here and Heidi really goes above and beyond with her hospitality. The private room and bathroom upstairs were both clean. The downstairs room where we entered with the wood burning fireplace, couch, and pretty rugs were so inviting. We also really enjoyed talking with Heidi, she is a very sweet person with many talents. We loved our one night stay and the peacefulness of this stylish home in the country. We just wish we had been able to spend more time here taking in the views from the expansive outdoor deck. Thank you again for everything Heidi, we hope to be back in the future!

  • Great accommodation. If we had not found a nice accommodation in Portland, we would have liked to stay longer. Everything was very nice. A bit of aircraft noise from the small airport you have to accept. Did and did not bother as rest seekers. The air conditioning was a bit too cool for us, as common for the European in the US. And a little noise from the AC (?) On the roof next to the bathroom are striking for the country atmosphere, annoying and personally not very. It is a pity that it is not quite quiet in the country. Overall, really great !!

  • Sam was very welcoming and patiently waited for me to check in. He gave me useful tips regarding where to catch the train and places to visit. He is very down to earth and enjoys sharing his knowledge with guests. The house is in a nice suburb and the nearest train station is in a cute commercial area with lots or restaurants and cafes. It is a very safe location and not too far from downtown. The room looked exactly like the one shown on the picture. Overall, I had a great time and I recommend this airbnb to others planning a trip to Portland.

Welcome to our home! We're settled in the country where it's nice and quiet, but close to all of the action! No more than 20 mins to fishing, sports, concerts, casino, PDX, downtown Portland AND Vancouver. We’re 3 miles to the Clark County Event Center and Sunlight Supply Amphitheater. Dogs are welcome but they must be friendly with other dogs and there’s a $10/nt/dog fee. See notes on booking your pets. Check out our Quiet Room in the Country room if this listing isn't available!
Our home is truly nestled in the country so it's very quiet out here. However, we are 3 miles from I-5 which gets you everywhere quickly. This is a home for people who love dogs. Gabby and Ollie are our sweet dogs that just want all of your attention, but they will bark at you when you walk through the front door. Your well behaved dog/s are welcome, but our little guys will bark at them until they've gotten their smelling in. We have 2 guest rooms available, so you may be sharing the bathroom with another guest.
We are close to everything you need, although you will need a car to get there. We have wineries, breweries, cities, rivers, mountains... anything and everything you need, all close by. This is an excellent central point for wherever you want to go!
  • Barbara was warm & welcoming. She made me feel comfortable in her own home, which I greatly appreciate. She made sure to show me how to work the non-standard TV remote & recommended a local restaurant. All in all, a great stay.

  • Barbara and her husband are very open hearted and i enjoyed big hospitality! highly recommended:)

  • This was a perfect airbnb experience. It was the first time I've rented a room in a house as I was traveling alone. It worked out very well. The room is very spacious and comfortable and there is a bathroom right down the hall. It felt like a private space, although you are in the host's house. I had a friendly interaction with the hosts and made some tea in their kitchen. I felt welcomed but not imposed upon in any way. I would recommend this airbnb to others.

    Shandin2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Well any travelers rent in the house of Mrs Barbara have a great time.

    Karla2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • After a super hard day of travel I was so grateful how welcomed and comfy I felt! The house is absolutely gorgeous and the bed is crazy comfy. Thoughtful touches abounded including seeing my name on the door to my room. The dogs are so darn cute and sweet. I wish I’d had more time to enjoy it. The location is out in the country so it’s quiet with a picturesque view in the morning.

Private farm house on 5 acre family farmstead with vineyard, valley views and farm animals in the Tualatin Mountains near Portland, Scappoose, Beaverton and Hillsboro, Oregon. Two bedroom house with King bedroom and queen bedroom with a futon in the living room. Our farm's name "Nos Sueños" means "our dreams" in an old Spanish dialect. We've put in years of hard work to make our dreams come true. We hope you enjoy the fruits of this labor of love during your stay.
Guests have exclusive access to the main level of the house, and patio and yard. The main level of the house has 2 bedrooms a bathroom, living/dining room and full kitchen (1200 sq ft.). We are using the lower level for private storage. You are welcome to hike the gravel road on the farm property and the adjacent forest property where we now live. There's 3/4 mile of road available to hike across the farm and through the adjacent woods - please leave the gate in-between properties the way you found it (open or closed). You may see us taking our morning walk along the road. We ask that you respect any latched gates and doors (letting pigs out or mixing goats with a vineyard is really bad news!). Try out the gazebo / picnic area up above the vineyard near the greenhouse for fantastic views of the McCarthy Creek valley we're nestled in. Transport convenience has a downside... We are off a fairly busy road connecting three counties. Truck and traffic noise is part of life here - worse at weekday rush hours. There is a railway spur across the valley that is in infrequent use. Thankfully there are no crossings requiring train horns / whistles, but the rumbling of the rail cars (mostly loaded with fir logs) is audible. We have a small Rat Terrier named Piper who barks at folks she doesn't know, but is friendly. There may be chickens, turkeys, goats and pigs fenced in on the property (some electric fencing is in use) - only our dog is "free range". There is a honeybee apiary located along the road on the adjacent forest property. The hives are far away from the house, but there are honeybees visiting just about anything that blooms here.
The Tualatin Mountains are home to diverse wildlife of many sorts. We have seen deer, elk, bobcat, coyote and even a bald eagle on the property (amongst other critters). Located just outside the urban growth boundary we are in a forested enclave of rural living that's close-in to both the tech industry in Hillsboro and the sights and tastes of Portland. It's easy to make a day-trip to the coast from here. Seaside on the Oregon coast is only 72 miles away. Many Oregon wineries are also located within about an hours drive.
  • Gorgeous home with a hot tub, farm animals and complimentary wine from the vineyard. It can’t get much better than this place. The pictures don’t do it justice - gorgeous craftsmanship on the interior. We actually want to just move in and pay them rent now (Ray/Mark, if you read this we are open to rental agreement negotiations! 😂 ...but seriously.) We will certainly be back. Thank you! ❤️

Just-remodeled, cozy basement apartment with custom woodwork and west-facing windows for warm afternoon light. House is located in a quiet residential neighborhood 11 miles from downtown Portland. Your space includes full private kitchen with gas range, private bath, and private bedroom with ample closet space.
The back door entrance is shared, but you have your own locking door at the bottom of the stairs. We live upstairs and you may hear occasional baby crying, piano playing, or power tools out in the garage. But there is special sound (and fire)-proof drywall between us and previous tenants have said it wasn't a bother. The whole unit is about 400 square feet. There is a couch where a third person might be able to sleep, but it's fairly short.
Our neighborhood consists of mostly single family homes, many of them attractive Craftsman style buildings with nice landscaping. There is a locally beloved coffee shop within walking distance and a vibrant downtown with bars, restaurants, yoga, and shopping about 2 miles away. There's a mall with big box stores (JCPenny, etc) 5 miles away. We have very friendly neighbors including several children under the age of 10.
  • Cute place!! Definitely can hear that family that resides upstairs but if you are like me, traveling alone and find it comforting, there is no issue.

  • This rental was so clean, comfortable, and chic, it made it very hard to want to go home. It was above and beyond our expectations. Kind and adorable hosts, amazing place that shows the love and effort put into it, and a great location just minutes from fun and exciting venues.

Our home is in a quiet neighborhood, less than 2 miles away from many restaurants and shopping. - Newly remodeled - Private bathroom and bedroom with a queen size bed - 43" flat screen smart TV and free WiFi. - Near Hwy 26, only a 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop. And about 3 miles from Nike headquarters.
It’s a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath. The guests have access to one bedroom and one full bathroom. There’s a half bath downstairs available for anyone to use as well. I occupy the master bedroom with my girlfriend. She stays with me a few nights and week and helps me take care of the AirBnB. And the other room is for my Son who is there Tuesday and Friday nights. The guests are welcome to use the living room downstairs and kitchen.
Lots of trials and parks. There are pubs and restaurants near by as well as grocery stores and cafes.
  • Jason's place is spectacularly placed, outfitted, and ready for your next adventure to the Pacific Northwest and Oregon abroad. I loved how quiet bit was here, how private and comfortably furnished my space was, and how kind and uplifting my hosts were. I highly recommend you stay here wherever you may go in Oregon/Washington, whether to visit Portland, to go on a waterfall hike, or to see the Pacific ocean. It was that good :-)

  • I've stayed at quite a few airbnb's; Kyle's place is far and away the most impressive. His place hits all the marks--clean, true to description, safe, value, etcetera. For the price, I am sure there is nothing better in the area. It seems as though Kyle honestly enjoys having this space for people to enjoy, the amenities are thoughtful and calculated. A high-brow experience!

Nestled in the private backyard of our family home, a neighborhood hub. The round, rustic, romantic MudHut hides in a secret garden overlooking the St. Johns bridge and sparkling river, near Cathedral Park, Forest Park, downtown St. Johns, canoe and hiking trails... Firepit, permaculture gardens, loaner bikes, community life, view!
Our hut was handbuilt by family, friends, and community with great love and serves as a guesthouse, homeschool hut, sauna and sanctuary. Wood-heated and candle-lit, it's a tranquil, rustic sleeping space. I recommend staying two nights for an immersive experience in the relaxing atmosphere. We are makers, artists and parents, and our land is a lively reflection of our creative life, often with projects brewing and children playing. A humming hive in a hidden wood on a bluff above the river.
We're in St. Johns, Portland's northern-most neighborhood and a small town of its own with a strong community identity here. Many families here trace their roots back to James John, the pioneer founder of St. Johns who is memorialized all over the neighborhood. Downtown St. Johns is a few blocks away, with plenty of restaurants (Thai, vegan, soulfood, chinese, pub grub, pizza, deli, breakfast, coffee & gelato), an old movie theater and shopping (lots of vintage). Cathedral Park, three blocks away, is gorgeous and photogenic with access to the Willamette River and the awesome overhead presence of the gothic St. Johns Bridge that you can see from the hut. We're also close to a lot of natural areas for urban hiking and paddling. Forest Park, full of trails and old growth forest, is right across the bridge. Just north of here is Kelley Point Park, the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia Rivers; Smith and Bybee Lakes, a wetlands for birding and paddling; and Sauvie Island, with beaches, farms, nurseries, hiking, fishing, & birding. We're on the Pacific migratory fly-way, so lots of raptor action around here. Bald eagles, peregrine falcons and hawks swoop by regularly.
  • A wonderful stay! There were too many cute touches to count, and it didn’t take long for it to feel like coming home when I opened the door of that cute little hut. Hospitality was phenomenal, ivy is an interesting and very kind person. Very worth the long drive !

    Angelia2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • the mud hut was more than a dream.. it was such an amazing experience and perfect stay for me and my boyfriends first time in oregon!! the views were an extra plus!!! before arriving i was very clueless on how to start a fire so if you’re new to that as well, ivy is more than willing to complete your coziness with a tutorial on how to start and keep a fire going all night. truly, i am sad to leave but i know a piece of me has stayed there forever!! thank you so much for this beautiful stay, and we hope to stay with you in the future!!

    Alyzabeth2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • This places is wonderful!!! The bathroom is not right in the hut but close. You do have to step outside to get to it but it was totally fine. The hut is so sweet, romantic, intimate and along with the hot tub we had such a relaxing stay here. The candle lights are beautiful and all the personal touches in the hut are just so incredible. 10/10 would stay again.

    Samantha2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Magical. This is more than a place to stay, it's an experience. Ivy was a great host. The place warmed up very quickly with the little wood stove. The bed is not sprung, which I really like. Good veiw of the bridge from the hot tub. The sound of the trains going by adds a lovely ambience to a special experience.

    Alistair2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • The space is amazing! I wasn’t expecting to feel so relaxed at an Airbnb! I will definitely be back and thanks for the travel tips Ivy.

Secluded sanctuary in the woods on 5 acres with mountain views. Near Sauvie Island and only 15 mins to DT Portland. Great hiking trails and right next to Wildwood Golf course. Separate entrance, includes a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, living area and private outdoor patio with hot tub!! Several rescue animals reside on our property and although we have not taken the leap to become a true non-profit staying here helps provide for them.
The location is the best part. You'll feel the relaxation of the country and the woods but you are still close to the city. Our property is 5 acres with a beautiful view of Mount Saint Helens, Mount Adams and Mount Hood. It's also peaceful and fun to share the space with several rescue animals that have been given the chance to share our little slice of paradise. Activities close by: - Wildwood Golf Resort - right next door: www.golfingwildwood.com - Forest Park - Hiking http://www.forestparkconservancy.org/forest-park/ - Trail of Shrines Hike is amazing only 6 miles away in Scappoose, OR - Sauvie's Island - only 4 miles away, beaches, farmers markets and lots of fun. http://sauvieisland.org/ - Scappoose Bay Paddling Center - 6 miles away https://nextadventure.net/scappoose-bay-paddling-center.html - St Johns - restaurants, shopping and fun https://www.travelportland.com/article/st-johns/
  • The perfect place to stay if you want to be in Portland, with all the benefits of the country! This place was absolutely fantastic. Our hosts were helpful, and quick to communicate. The space is beyond cozy! We enjoyed a little bit of snow (in March?!) and it was lovely to curl up by the fire. From fuzzy robes to the hot tub, there were so many thoughtful touches that made this space above and beyond.

  • This is by far the BEST B&B we have stayed at! It was so beautiful, clean, had everything you needed and so much more! Ally was so amazing, accommodating, helpful, kind, generous! Honestly I can’t put it into words! If you are looking for an amazing stay, with beautiful host, beautiful attention to details in the home all around, clean, everything you need, even animals on site, then THIS IS THE PLACE! Thank you again Ally your are such a beautiful person!!! ❤️❤️❤️

  • We stayed at 2 actual Bed and Breakfasts before this and this was actually pretty comparable to that experience. It is a fantastic place, close to portland, but more secluded and relaxing! Would 100% Recommend, and stay again! Everything was clean and wonderful! Great movie selection, the fireplace was super cozy, the hot tub was perfect, and the snacks were such a thoughtful touch!!

  • Ally is an incredibly thoughtful hostess and kind person. She helped with suggestions for local entertainment, shopping, food, and hiking. All communication was very thorough and prompt. The space was quiet, beautifully decorated with a modern and relaxing feel, and sparkling clean. The location was perfect as it was just a few minutes from the edge of the city nestled in a beautiful forest area. We had a great time learning a bit about the rescue animals and getting to pet a few of them! We would love to stay again when we visit the Portland area!

    Shad2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Clean. Cute. Very sweet people, everything was super easy and smooth. Looooove their hot tub so much, definitely one of the highlights. One things I will say that I completely forgot to think about is that they do live on a farm with animals, so of course it smells like that. The smell surprised me at first but then I was like-duh. But I was raised on a farm so the smell was actually very familiar and warm to me :)

    Andrea2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Ally’s was fantastic. They have a great spot nestled in the woods not far from Portland and main highways. They have great amenities including a hot tub, lovely fireplace, diffusers and snacks for guests. Thanks so much for the great stay!

Welcome to our cozy, tranquil and tiny hexagon hut! It is a detached unit with private entrance and shared bathroom (in our family home). Simple, inspiring and cheerful space with clay walls, lots of plants, a full size sofa bed that sleeps 1-2, lovely natural light from big windows, sun roof and french doors. Located in the Arbor Lodge neighborhood of North Portland with a two minute walk to coffee, restaurants and bus lines. Three blocks from local grocery store, cafe and the Max station.
The bathroom is shared and in the main house but you do not have to go through any rooms or the main part of the house to access it. It's just right inside from the back door. While access to kitchen is not available, there are many inexpensive food options very close by. For a quick AM coffee, you can stay in your PJs, walk one minute to the nearby GrindHouse coffee cart and come back to enjoy your morning...we do that a lot! We have a friendly cat who wanders but not into the hut.
The Arbor Lodge/Kenton area is a charming and accessible neighborhood with just the right balance of buzz and quiet. There are multiple parks within walking distance including our favorite Peninsula Park with its dreamy rose garden and beautiful fountain. So many choices for food and drinks all within walking distance but we have a soft spot for Thai Ginger, Blackbird Pizza, Burritos Azteca and Arbor Lodge Coffee Shop. Firelight Yoga is less than a mile away and so are some of the sweetest neighborhood pubs such as The Old Gold and Backyard Social. We love it here!
  • Great value for a quick stop in Portland!

  • Beautiful, clean, comfy, and thoughtfully outfitted. A great place to stay. And her cat is adorable.

    Tristan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely space made all the better by the nearby coffee bodega and Chilton the cat!

    Michael2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great little spot, Heidi is an awesome host. Blocks from the max line (Tram) that takes you right downtown, way cheaper than a cab or uber and it runs very late. Great price, the bathroom is steps away in their house but is in no way awkward or uncomfortable to use. I would stay here again when I go back.

    Matt2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute and clean, very private and quiet. Loved the hanging plants and the very friendly greeter Chilton the cat

    Kolby2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Many things to do nearby. Keep in mind that you do have to walk outside for about 15 feet or so to use the toilet/shower while its sunny, raining, or snowing. I didn't mind it at all. The system in place worked out perfect. Definitely recommend!

    Rene2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amazingly warm, and welcoming space which is incredibly easy to access from the train. Would stay again, and recommend to anyone coming down solo/with significant other.

  • Very clean! Everything about the stay was comfortable and helped us feel right at home! It was such a close distance to everything we wanted to do which made exploring so easy. The couch and beds were so comfortable. The house was the perfect size for 6 people to sleep as well as to lounge and hang out together during the day.

I would love to welcome you to my home, and your small dog stays free! Let me know if you have a larger dog. Our neighborhood is quiet and friendly, a good place to walk dogs. At home can relax on the deck or in the backyard by the tiny pond. The fenced yard offers a safe area for your furry friend to explore. In our St. Johns community you'll discover a wide variety of sfores, coffee shops, and restaurants. We're close to downtown, Sauvie Island, and Washington with good public transportation.
You are welcome to bring one small dog, less than 20 pounds to join you in the room, with no additional fee. Let me know if you have a larger dog and we can talk about options. Tell me if you are bringing him or her and I'll set up a feeding station and doggy bed in your room. The backyard is fenced so it is a nice play area for your dog. Please pick up your doggie poop and dispose of it in the grey bin (I provide poop bags). All my guests receive a 10% discount for their first time visit purchase at Tre Bone, our local family owned pet store. If you bring your dog, or want to bring a treat home with you, you'll find a wonderful selection of everything from sweaters, to toys, food, treats, and medicinals. Ask me about it when you are here. The security deposit is not charged to your account when you register for the room. It is only charged if there is damage to the property, and the charge must be verified through Airbnb. The cleaning fee is $15 for a stay of up to one week, per week. There is a brand new mini-fridge with freezer space. Inside the closet you will find towels, hangers, a laundry bin, iron, and ironing board. The bookshelf is stocked with interesting travel and visitor's books. The dimmer arm wall lamps provide full reading light as well as nice ambiance. Both windows have screens so you can enjoy our lovely fresh air. Be sure to close them when the air conditioning or heat go on. Quests who stay a week or longer are welcome to use the kitchen for cooking.
St. Johns is a neighborhood that is friendly and welcoming and feels like a small town. Be sure to walk down the main street and stop in the shops to find hand-crafted and unique items. There are lots of coffee shops (of course), a wine store that has tastings most Friday evenings, a two story theatre that serves fabulous pizza, and so much more. Whether you have a dog with you or not, this is a great walking neighborhood. You'll see lots of people walking their dogs and enjoying the tree-lined streets. Westcoast Fitness is on Lombard and Buchanan and they have three floors of exercise equipment and classes. There is a sauna, sun lamp, and massage bed. They do have special rates for visitors and are Silver Sneakers members. Head over to the St. Johns bridge and walk across it to get a fabulous view of the Willamette River and the city. Park under the bridge and walk around Cathedral Park. You may want to stop by the restaurants adjacent to the park or go to Moonstruck Chocolate to get a free sample, buy a selections of handmade special chocolates, and watch the unique chocolates being made.
  • I stayed with Karen for 10 weeks and I just love her. She is the nicest, coolest lady. The house is full of art and has a wonderful, relaxing vibe. She was always thinking of ways to make my room more comfortable for me (the bed even has a heating pad you can adjust.) Her two dogs are so cute and friendly too. The house is about 15 min from the city which is just perfect. The town of St. John's has everything you need and is full of kind people.

    Liz2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

  • A wonderful place to stay in NW Portland. Karen has small touches that make the space very welcoming. The St Johns area is cool and the recommended restaurant, Piku, near Karen’s house had an amazing breakfast. I will definitely recommend Karen’s place and visit again.

    Jen2018-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Karen's place in July, and re-booked for November - another great stay! I especially appreciated having a dedicated driveway to park my car in...As before, Karen was a great host, the house was very well-kept and the dogs were adorable. Highly recommend!

Private newly-remodeled basement apartment with off-street parking and WiFi in funky St. Johns neighborhood. Guests have private entrance and can check themselves in with the keypad. Close to the University of Portland and downtown St. Johns, and across the street from a food cart pod with lots of dining options, as well as beer, wine, and cider. We're also across the street from a Fred Meyer grocery store and a block from New Seasons, a grocery/deli specializing in local and organic options.
We have spent the last year finishing our basement and everything is brand new! Kitchen accessories include a full-size fridge and freezer with ice maker and water dispenser (our tap water is some of the best in the country, so feel free to use that, too!), microwave, toaster oven, electric induction cooktop, electric frying pan, coffee maker, and tea kettle. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates, bowls, utensils, and some basic condiments. We also have coffee, creamer, and tea available. The bedroom contains a queen-size pillow top mattress with a down comforter. There are also a closet and a dresser for guests' use. Living room features two plush couches, one of which has a fold-out queen-size memory foam bed, a recliner, and a 55-inch smart TV with Amazon prime, Hulu, and Netflix. We can also provide an air mattress if you need another sleeping area. The bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, soap, first aid supplies, and other bathroom basics, as well as lots of big, fluffy towels! We only have one laundry area, but we can make it available to guests if needed. There is also a dining room with seating for 4 and a computer workstation. Guests will have access to high-speed WiFi. The home has central heating and AC, plus a gas fireplace with a remote control to keep you toasty warm without leaving the comfort of the couch. St. Johns is a quirky little pocket of Portland, on the peninsula where the Willamette River meets the Columbia River. Our home is close to the University of Portland and Roosevelt High School. We are located about a mile from downtown St. Johns, with lots of options for shopping, coffee, dining, drinking, and entertainment, including a farmer's market every Saturday during the summer. We have bikes available for guests' use, and Portland has an e-scooter rental program with e-scooters frequently on hand nearby. We're also minutes away from 5,100+ acre Forest Park, with its 70 miles of recreational trails suitable for any level of hiker or biker. Less than 10 minutes' drive will take you to Kelley Point Park and its Willamette and Columbia River beaches. It's a 20-minute drive to downtown Portland and everything it has to offer. We are about 25 minutes from the airport by car. Lyft rides to and from the airport are usually $20-$30. We are located about 500 feet from a bus stop for one of the main bus lines through the city, which can also connect you to the light rail train system that can take you all over Portland, including the airport. If you need to get somewhere quickly there are always plenty of Ubers and Lyfts near by. We're also about an hour from the beautiful Oregon coast and 1.5 hours from Mt. Hood, and there are endless opportunities in every direction for enjoying the outdoors. For the wine lovers, we are about an hour from Newberg and McMinnville with endless opportunities for wine tasting. It is a basement apartment, and we have old hardwood floors upstairs, so as much as we try to be quiet, you will hear noises from upstairs. We also have several dogs and cats. They won't have access to the basement when we have guests, but they do go down there when we have family in town, so if you are severely allergic to pets, this may not be the place for you, as no amount of cleaning can remove every pet hair. Our newly remodeled basement is fully up to code and permitted by the city.
St. Johns has its own downtown area about a mile from our home, with lots of options for coffee, dining, drinking, shopping, and entertainment. We have a farmer's market every Saturday during the summer. There are many parks within walking or biking distance. We're also only a 20-minute drive from downtown Portland and its endless options for eating, drinking, and entertainment. We're about an hour from the coast and 1.5 hours from Mt. Hood, with unlimited options in every direction for enjoying the outdoors.
  • Good sized space for two of us. Very clean and comfortable. Gwen was very responsive and there were snacks provided which was appreciated. She provided helpful information about their cleaning practices ahead of our arrival which helped allay any traveling concerns due to Coronavirus.

  • Very comfortable and clean. The hosts deliver with the amenities. If you forgot to pack any toiletries, you will mostly likely be covered by all the amenities this place has. I loved the location and how conveniently close it was to grocery stores, gas stations and the food trucks. If you rent a car the hosts provide a prime parking space next to the bnb entrance. Really great spot overall, easy access, very clean, and the bathroom is awesome. LOVE the bathroom. I recommend this place.

Check out our King Bed in the Country room if this listing isn't available!
Our home is truly nestled in the country so it's very quiet out here. However, we are 3 miles from I-5 which gets you everywhere quickly. This is a home for people who love dogs. Gabby and Ollie are the sweetest dogs that just want all of your attention, but they will bark at you when you walk through the front door.

The host and their dogs were very welcoming to both of us and our furry friend. Very flexible. Room and shared bathroom spotless. Would certainly return.

  • Barbara's space is a beautiful home surrounded by nature and open spaces. The room was clean and comfortable. Very warm and cozy. Bathroom clean and spacious. The family was sweet and welcoming, they really made it feel like we were a good friend. Their dogs are super sweet and excited and worked so well with my two dogs. Absolutely loved the place. It is very quiet and just far enough from the city to be relaxing, but still within a quick drive to get to Vancouver and Portland. Would highly recommend!

  • These are probably my favorite Airbnb hosts ever (and I've stayed at 30+ different Airbnbs over the years, for what it's worth). Super friendly, excellent communication, dog friendly (I came up here for a dog show), clean home in a super quiet area, and would recommend 10/10 to anyone looking for accommodations in the area.

    Kelly2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing couple who not only instantly made us feel like close friends and right at home, but, being new to the area, and it being close to Thanksgiving, even gave us little doggie treats and baked cookies when we left. Could never say enough nice things about these two, and their home is absolutely beautiful and their puppies are the sweetest couple of little fur things who even put up well with our big dumb Pyrenees puppy.

  • This studio was perfect for a weekend stay! Loved how close Lombard was, and Forest park was a short drive across the bridge. The apartment was super clean and cute, and the hosts left us a bottle of rose and coffee to make our stay feel special. Seamless check-in experience. There were even laundry machines we would’ve used if we were staying longer. The price is right. Would definitely book again next time!
