Birch Bay State Park is 5 miles or a 15 minute drive from the house for clamming, playground, and day camping.

Guests have their private garden patio with fire pit, kids' treehouse, hammock, and access stairs leading down to the creek in the woods. Street has easement to the beach on the bay.
