This place is perfect! The room was beautiful - everything clean and welcoming! Lovely shower and cosy bed, it was just what I needed! A wonderfully relaxing two days.. Eirwen was a most gracious hostess - she even stood out and waited for us to arrive when we inadvertently missed the property on our first attempt! The accommodation is beautifully appointed to a high standard and extremely well equipped - we wanted for nothing. Breakfast was all-encompassing and again, Eirwen had thought of everything. We loved staying here, all be it too briefly and would love to return.

Eirwen and Mike were wonderful hosts. We received a warm welcome and shared some nice conversation. Mike even brought us a drink as we sat in the garden enjoying the afternoon sun. The barn conversion was beautifully restored with a quality finish and spotlessly clean. A breakfast feast was conveniently all prepared and waiting in the fridge. Set within lovely gardens the Chase with great walks was only a few minutes walk away. Thanks for a lovely stay!

What a little gem this place has it all. Friendliest hosts beautiful gardens and spotless clean accommodation! They have thought of everything the cottage is so well equipped and in a perfect quiet location near the Chase. The bed was so comfortable best nights sleep I had in ages. The breakfast left for us was plentiful and fresh. Eggs, orange juice, yogurt, fruit, marmalade, pastries, bread, coffee, tea and butter which set us up nicely for the day. What to say well beyond our expectation Fantastic will recommend to all our friends. The converted barn had everything required furnishings were to a very high standard, the bed extremely comfortable spotless inside. Breakfast continental style meats cheese milk fruit juice cereal bread egg's all you could think of. Outside own drive secluded garden seating lovely large gardens. Our hosts Mike & Erwin very hospitable kind thoughtful felt like old friends by the time we were ready to leave full of useful area information made us very welcome on arrival. The area near to Cannock Chase lovely area great range of Pubs places to eat. Near to Ironbridge a great day out also visit Shugborough House and estate well worth a visit. Waterways barges we needed to unwind this was the place to do it we will be back again.

Eirwen and Mike were amazing hosts, very accommodating even with our late check in. The flat was perfect, very well laid out, organised and immaculate. My only issue was that were only staying for one night not a week!

A small but perfectly formed home from home. Lovingly and tastefully decorated. Beautiful country walks from the doorstep and a surprising back garden! It was perfect for us as a base to explore the Peak District with old friends. We did find the cottage a little tight for four adults but entirely doable. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at 25 Riverside for 2 nights in April, with the idea of using the place as a base from which to go to Alton Towers. Communication from Olivia, the owner, beforehand was great. The house was lovely and decorated / kitted out to a really high standard. Easy to park outside and amazing views out of the windows. Check in and check out were pain-free and we had a really enjoyable and comfortable couple of days. I'd happily stay at Riverside again, and could see myself staying here for a full week happily. A real gem of a place and a lucky find. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely house set in quiet village in beautiful surroundings but only a stone throw from Alton towers. Olivia was a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Well equipped and furnished although the inclusion of a toaster (we couldn't find one) would have been useful. Great value for money and close to some lovely restaurants.

A gorgeous secluded lodge on a beautiful farm with scenic views. We stayed for a family break for Alton Towers which is a 15 mins drive. Definitely returning.

I would just like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the hosts on my recent stay. The lodge is a fantastic idea and is set in a great rural environment which is just the location to get away from the chaos of life and unwind. Very clean, well decorated and full of character, personality and love. Great facilitates from the electric blankets on the bed, to the showers, comfy furniture, very large patio and not to forget the tree swing. It has all that you need to either get away from the pace of life or use as a base for exploring. The 2 days there was enough to reset my clock and re-energize, I loved the fact that it was next to so much nature such as the sheep and the very lovable dogs. Great communication throughout which led to an easy and very informative check in where I was made to feel like one of the family. I am looking forward to a return visit very soon.

We had a lovely weekend at Sally and Andy's retreat, such a cute log cabin with everything you need for a quiet weekend away! Will definitely be returning!

This was my first time using AirBnB and I jumped in with both feet for a 13 day stay in the Stoke area. Patrick is an excellent host and from the moment that I arrived I was made to feel welcome and at home. He showed me around his home and gave me as much information as I needed about the local area. I am fairly self sufficient & as happy with my own company as I am with others which Patrick respected. In the evenings I would spend time in my room, which was clean and well presented, keeping up to date with work & then would join Patrick for an hour or 2's TV before going to sleep. In the mornings, due to the time I wanted to leave I asked where things were kept so that I could get my own breakfast, not wanting Patrick to have to get up just on my behalf, but he invariably still woke & saw to my breakfast. In the evening when I returned there was normally a cup of tea ready for me within minutes of walking through the door. Pat has a lovely home & is a fantastic host. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful welcome at this really amazing B&B. The windmill is absolutely beautiful: full of character and really fascinating. Our room was very comfortable and our hosts were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were delicious. We could not fault our stay at all...even the weather was good! What a lovely place! Easy to find, parking was simple, really quiet and peaceful yet only a few steps from everything you could need (pub/little shops/tea room etc). Photos don't do Hidden Cottage justice - its beautiful inside and out - the private little garden had lovely herbs and flower pots.. could imagine wasting an afternoon sat out there with a book and a glass of wine! TV, internet, big shower, lovely fresh bed and a kitchen with everything you would need.. couldn't have asked for more after a long day walking in the peaks and the night before a day in the potteries. Just wished we had longer to stay!!! 5* Joanne :-)

Lovely quiet & secluded cottage one minutes walk to pubs & shops.The cottage is very homely and nicely decorated with all of the amenities that you will need. A perfect place for a couple with Alton Towers a 15 minite drive away. Joanne was always punctual in replying to messages when needed. Check in / Check out was smooth and the directions sent to us were perfect making it very easy to find even though it is the 'hidden cottage. Thank you for a great stay, we will be back.

Working farm, quiet location, pub walking distance. Comfortable and clean, this is a working farm, open fire, good breakfast, bed comfortable, room dark and quiet for a good nights sleep. Host busy in lambing season up all night and still cooked a great breakfast. Stayed whilst working in area, made to feel very welcome.

If you want peaceful rural location and a real farm feel this place is great. Cosy and comfortable. I will be going back.

The annex was exactly as described. We had a really pleasant stay. We required an iron during our stay and Cavelle's son was happy to provide one. I text Cavelle as she was working away one of the nights with a problem we had and she responded straightaway.

Lovely house tucked away at the end of the garden. Host was friendly and the local pubs had some fantastic food and drink. A short taxi journey to Nantwich train station made it easy to get around. Would stay again :)

The Annex, tucked away at the end of the garden with it's own living room, bedroom, kitchenette etc was great. Cavelle made me welcome leaving fresh Milk and Bread (and a bottle of beer) in the fridge plus tea and coffee etc. I was on a business trip and it made a refreshing change to the usual dreary hotels. I will definitely stay again!

The Annex was perfect for us as a stop off on the way to the Lake District. It's nicely decorated, had everything we needed and the comfiest bed ever!

Ruth's home was a perfect stop on our way to the Peak District! It was easy to find, and even though we mistakenly parked a street away, Ruth was so kind as to offer us her parking spot next to the house. The bed was comfortable and Ruth provides bathrobes, bottled water, little snacks and tea in the room. There's also a TV and lots of DVDs to choose from if you have time to watch something. The view outside of the window is also beautiful! We really enjoyed talking to Ruth and her husband and getting to know them a little bit. Breakfast was delicious - yogurt, muesli, tea, juice, hot chocolate and Ruth made a local treat called Staffordshire oatcakes - kind of an oat crepe with melted cheese and bacon and rolled up - it was delicious! Ruth definitely does her best to make you comfortable and think of everything you might need. Thank you so much for everything Ruth!

An ideal stay! My wife and I had a brilliant stay with Ruth and Nick, they were exactly the kind of hosts you would wish for, really easy to be around, chat with and they couldn't have done more for us. They have a great setup for their guests, the room is in a secluded part of the house with a great view, the bed was really comfy, the room had wifi, water, tea, coffee, snacks, a tv and huge dvd library. They have a private bathroom for their guests and everything was spotlessly clean. Ruth responded to my messages almost immediately, and she let me know where to park and gave me some suggestions for places to eat. We walked to the Railway Inn (20 mins) which was an awesome call, Luke served a pork belly that I'll be dreaming about for a while! If I return to the area, I'd make a point of staying here again. Thanks Ruth! :)

Such a peaceful location, 10 minutes drive from the beautiful Manifold Valley but with walks from the door. This first floor barn conversion is light, beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds and lovely surrounding views.

We loved Sarah's converted barn and it was full of lovely finishing touches and quirks, especially the hamper which was a godsend after a long journey! An excellent place to stay if you want a secluded get away. Beautiful little renovation, with a cosy fireplace, super comfy beds and lovely views. Sarah was an incredibly accommodating guest, aiding our party with both a late check in and a late check out time, and we were very kindly provided with breakfast items... including prosecco!! Would totally recommend.

We had a wonderful time in the converted barn. The approach to the house is amazing, driving through fields with a winding brook running through. It was totally quiet at night with no light pollution at all. The barn is comfortable and cosy with really comfy beds. The trampoline was a great success with the youngest member of our party; as was the toy cupboard. We loved playing Touring England and bought our own copy to play at home. Thank you for the suggestions book: very helpful! One day was quite wet so we spent a lovely morning at Sticky Fingers in Ashbourne. Cycling along the Manifold Trail was a great hit, too, as was Chatsworth. It's such a beautiful part of the country and there's so much to do. We didn't want to leave at all, and would certainly like to come back. One of the nicest AirBnBs we've stayed in.

A perfect place to stay before my course at Harper Adams Uni, just 20 minutes drive away. Quiet and secluded so I could study too. Sheila was a great host and the room was spotless, cosy and bed very comfortable. I hope to stay again if I am Eccleshall way!

Sheila was wonderful start to finish. We arrived a little later than planned, so if this is the case for anyone advice would be to call Sheila on the number provided as our message didn't get there in time. Luckily Sheila was home that day anyway so we didn't cause any inconvenience! When we arrived we sat down and had a good old cup of tea and biscuits with and had an interesting chat. Sheila then showed us to our room which was lovely. Low windows which on looked the beautiful countryside, a toilet/shower room with sink and lovely Body wash! A TV, tea, coffee, biscuits and a few hangers to hand. The Bedroom and house burst with character and the location was superb! Close to Eccleshall (2.5 miles). Sadly in the morning we didn't have time to eat breakfast as we had to leave early, Sheila had left a beautiful fresh breakfast out with cereal, fruit, yogurt and bread so we could make toast on the AGA if we wished! (gutted didn't have time). To summarise, Sheila was lovely, kind, friendly, interesting, non intrusive and accommodating. We hope to see her again in the near future! A beautiful location with stunning views across open farmland. Secluded location, yet within easy reach of major roads. Comfortable room with ensuite. French style room is beautiful and offers everything you'd want. Tea and coffee available both in the room and in the lounge area. A lovely hostess who couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Thoroughly recommend.

This is the best Airbnb I have stayed in. A really comfortable bed in a beautifully decorated room but what makes it perfect is the situation. The Cottage is in the middle of the countryside with a stunning garden, absolutely quiet and yet within easy reach of many towns – and the local pub (good home cooking)! Sheila is the perfect host – very knowledgeable about the area and nothing is too much trouble. I really look forward to returning.

My partner and I had a stunning stay at Nether Farm Barns. Pam's barn exceeded our expectations in it's attention to detail. She left us a little basket with bread, home made cookies and eggs, and even popped a bottle of wine for us in the fridge! We stayed for a weekend and spent our Saturday walking through the peaks at Dovedale (only a 20 minute drive away max), and came back to a lovely fire. We visited a couple of pubs in nearby Ashbourne, but our favourite was The Old Dog in Thorpe. In the barn, Pam had put together an information box, with leaflets for all surrounding attractions and beauty points, and various walks. This included a list of local restaurants, pubs etc and her recommendations. I could babble on for ages about our 2 night stay, but overall we felt very welcome and very content. We'd certainly return to Nether Farm Barns, where we know we'd feel looked after, and where there is still plenty left for us to see in the lovely surrounding towns/villages.

Just back from a wonderful weekend at this gem of a barn! It can't be faulted and was everything we were after; compact but spacious, clean and really well styled. We were welcomed with some delicious homemade soda bread, eggs, milk, cookies etc. A lovely touch. We will definitely be recommending this property to friends and hope to return.

The barn was in a brilliant and picturesque location. Really close to Ashbourne but felt we were in the middle of the countryside. The accommodation was really tastefully finished with a very well equipped kitchen. Pam was really helpful in sourcing and setting up baby equipment for our 2 year old daughter. The bath in the bedroom is a great feature. The living space is very generous. Being greeted by fresh eggs, home made bread and cookies was something else! Thanks so much. We shall return!

We loved our stay at Nether Farm Barns! The farmhouse was so cute and actually much bigger than it appears in the pictures. The decor was lovely - especially the bath in the bedroom which felt quite boutique-like and everything was great quality. We were greater promptly on arrival and there were also fresh eggs and cookies waiting for us which was really sweet, along with bread, butter and milk for our stay. The area was lovely, just a short drive into town and lovely locations to visit nearby- with 'dovedale' and 'carsington water' about 10 minutes away which were beautiful. We're even thinking now about when we can come back! Thanks for a great stay!

This house is well equipped, immaculate and comfortable. Plenty of bedding and towels provided, along with a welcome package of food (bread, milk, juice, tea coffee, etc) which is extremely helpful after a long journey. The grounds are lovely. My girls enjoyed playing outside and feeding the horses. The area itself is nice and quiet. There's a few pubs a short walk and more a short drive away. Nearest supermarket is just a few minutes in the car. If you have a car then getting about is not an issue. This was a fab base for us when visiting family in Stoke. Phil and Lynn were excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble! Thanks again. We would definitely return!

Great place, quiet but easy drive to anywhere, 5min walk to local pub, great walks nearby and Peak District only 10mins away.

Lovely house and hosts. Clean and comfortable with lots of little extras to make you feel at home and help you find your way around. We stayed here to go to Alton towers as it's only a 30 min drive away. Would definitely stay again.

Lynn's place was perfect for us. It was a sad occasion going to a friend's funeral but having this space to retreat to before and after was just what we needed. The place is immaculate and extremely well kitted out. We had everything we needed and Lynn was a great host with just the right amount of contact and availability. It's just off the main road so easy access to local places but the rear of the property is very rural and has amazing views across fields offering the best of both worlds. I would highly recommend Lynn's place.

Our stay at peak rise was really comfy and we had everything we needed. There was a lovely welcome pack with essentials which was a great addition to the stay. The photos don't do the house justice, the rooms are spacious and spotless. I would highly recommended the house and the area was beautiful.

Dave & Sue are wonderful hosts and made us feel really welcome in their home. We had a lovely breakfast of cereal, toast & croissant. Sue & Dave were very helpful in recommending a place to eat & how to get around Burton. If you are looking for a low cost friendly place to stay in this area you will be very welcome here.

If you are after a clean and safe place around Burton-on-Trent, where hosts are warm and welcoming then look no further. Dave and Sue's abode is perfect in every way. I was there for 8 nights and the bed was comfortable, bathroom was spotless and breakfast was on the dining table from day one at the time specified. Lovely people with a sense of humour to have a conversation with, if that's what you are into
