Excellent customer service at the front desk, and coffee bar! We had a nice, clean room so we were able to get really restful sleep. We really enjoyed the breakfast options which were free with accommodations. Thank you! We will likely stay here the next time we come to visit!

Casino hotel is very upscale but it is a hotel so you have to pay taxes. It's also pretty smoky when you enter. Very nice room though and the price difference was astounding from what it is on their own website! Staff was extremely helpful!

The house was awesome, Juanita left fans throughout the house which I put to full use during the heat! The neighborhood and surrounding area is extremely peaceful. Everything is conveniently close, from stores to gas stations and the reason for my visit; Lake Almanor. Having never used AirBnB before i was nervous about what to expect and I would be lying if i didnt comment on how Juanita and her home blew my expectations away. Im compelled to return some time in the near future!

The house is lovely, well lit, and for a long term rental for business it was a perfect work environment. The kitchen was well equipped with cookware and dinnerware as well as cooking incidentals like oil and spices. Mid-stay we said we couldn't find any coasters to use on the wood tables. Juanita delivered some the next day. She went out of her way to accommodate signing expense forms for us and is just a very lovely person...we were welcomed like old friends. Couldn't have been more perfect.

Warm & cozy. Accent blankets in bedrooms, special coffees to make & enjoy. Our host asked if we could think of anything else we needed. Two blocks from town made wandering around easy. It was fun to see deer in residential areas We had a family gathering this gave us room to spread out! The house had a warm and friendly feel. I'd like to be there in summer so we could go hiking. We had an amazing stay. This home is exactly as described. It's clean, warm and comfortable. While I didn't personally meet Juanita she was an amazing hostess. She communicates clearly and made us feel so welcome. There were many times my sister and I said "that Juanita, she sure thinks of everything!"

Juanita made sure we had everything we needed for our stay, even offering inflatable mattresses. She made sure we felt welcome and right at home. This is a lovely home with a great historic charm. Great hot shower, comfy couch, and everything you might need in the kitchen. The house is clean and quiet, and the backyard area is a nice place to hangout. The only downside was no air conditioning, which would be uncomfortable in the summer months. However, there is a fan that pulls cool air from the basement throughout the house, so that helped. There are lots of windows to provide air flow/cooling at night too. It's an easy walk to explore the shops of downtown, we visited a quaint bookstore. We had a great time, and would definitely recommend staying here!

Juanita has provided almost everything you could possibly need to have a wonderful stay.

What stood out for me was the beautiful view of the mountains from the bedroom window truly Majestic. Doria was very pleasant.

My friend and I were in town for Coastal Trail's Bizz Johnson marathon and Doria's home was the perfect place to stay. Her home is located just a short drive from the finish line. We cooked a simple dinner in her kitchen the night before and had a quiet night's sleep before race day. Doria was gracious enough to let us come back and shower after the race, post-check out. Having a convenient, clean and quiet place to stay for the race weekend made our lives easier.

The neighborhood was very quiet which was very nice. The host was very easy and sweet. We cross paths conversed and so sweet. and the household was very clean and neat. She was super lovely. Great place to stay.

Dora's place was cozy and clean. She even had a cute small welcome baskets with treats and water. Although we arrived late (she did not deny nor was uoset) and left early, Doria had a great conversation with us prior to our departure. She is very warm and welcoming.

I just stayed one night there and arrived late in the evening. The room is nice and Doria is very friendly. I recommend to go there.

Doris is the consummate hostess. Her home is on a very peaceful cul-de-sac. We had tea in the morning on her patio and saw a deer. Doris was very responsive and made our booking super easy. It was the. Airbnb stay of our trip.

My girlfriend and I were on the way home from a climbing trip and got stuck in Susanville due to dangerous road conditions. Despite the power being out in town and our last minute reservation, Doria got back to us immediately and worked it out with us! The place is really nice, it was the perfect spot to stop.

Doria is an amazing host! She also has an incredibly beautiful home. Doria always replied quickly to all the questions we had regarding the neighborhood and her home. It was great talking with her about traveling, work and family. We had a great time with Doria and highly recommend anyone who's planning on passing through the Susanville area to stay at her place!

This property was comfortable, quiet, clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine and beer in the fridge. We felt safe and secure in that the property is located in a gated area behind a lovely garden shop. We would definitely stay here again!

Steve was an absolutely fantastic host and I had the privilege of being his first Air BnB patron and seeing the property! From the first moment of contact, he made sure I had everything I needed to find the beautiful location and for a comfortable stay. he went so far as to clear out a great spot to the side of the property for me to pitch my tent, and has many amenities to offer. Definitely a great time staying at Eagle Lake, with many stories shared and heard! Looking forward to coming back during a peak of fishing season!

Steve's Private campground is so perfect off the beaten trail quiet and beautiful. We drove 5hours for 3 days at this beautiful location and it was so worth it. Steve was a great host and stayed up to accommodate our late arrival after 9pm and came by to check on us and was available for anything we needed. So much better than your standard campground where other people are right on top of you. A short walk to the lake, plenty of off road trails for walking and day hikes. We will be back.

David is a very gracious and welcoming host. His historic quaint house was charming and interestingly designed and constructed. The room was clean in cheerful colors with house plants. The bed was comfortable and dressed with a beautiful quilt. The neighborhood was quiet. David is very knowledgeable of the area. His love and appreciation for the outdoors and environment is very evident. When I arrived late in the afternoon and wanted to go for run-hike, David suggested a very close by trail head. I will stay there again when I return to the area to explore the multitude of trails in the vicinity.

Upon arrival at David's charming Westwood home, we were greeted immediately with kindness and an eagerness to share the history of both the house and the town. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and cozy. David was a wonderful host who made myself and my travel companion feel incredibly welcomed. The town of Westwood itself is quite small, but has a wonderful remoteness to it. The biscuits and gravey at the Old Mill cafe were outstanding, as was the pizza at Buffalo Chips. Overall, we had a wonderful time and David was instrumental in that being the case. Would stay again!

Great place near lake almanor and lassen park. David was very friendly and knowledgable of the area. We were on a road trip and headed out early in the morning so wish we could have spent more time in the area but was still a great trip. Thanks!

Just the facts: Inconvenient: an hour to Lassen S entrance, another 30 min to popular hiking trailheads, plus another 30 min to museum/main N entrance. I should have checked my maps more closely. Noisy: the home is at a stop sign on a fairly busy street in an economically diverse area. At night there were shouting pedestrians and neighbors, traffic, barking dogs, loud diesel pickups, etc. Female solo travelers note: the host put his arm around my shoulders to welcome me, had his hand on my back while showing me rooms, at 1030 PM came upstairs to invite me to “come down and enjoy the living room” at which point I looked and saw there is no way to lock the bedroom door. Uncomfortable: it was 70 outside the evening I arrived and 92 in the room. Host said “it will cool off eventually”. I later learned he has an attic fan that he could easily have used to quickly cool the room down. He chose not to do this, knowing well in advance my approximate arrival time. There were flannel sheets on the futon in the 92 degree room. Host said “it was cool in here a few nights ago.” i was expecting clean sheets. Flannel sheets had coarse 2 inch curly white beard/pubic hairs in them, probably from the guest who was there when it was cool. Either that or host's washing machine doesn’t work. The next night after hiking in the heat all day, I choose to sleep in my tent in the National Forest (out of cell range) rather than face another miserable night. Day 3 I went back to return the house key and have a shower, because the host said in a text he would not be there that night. Towels had that musty smell they get from sitting too long before going in the dryer. Be sure to smell the towels before using them on your clean self. Hard to find at night: Airbnb directions took me past the house. Use (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps instead. House number not visible at night from my car. Host said “I left the porch light on”. So did every other house on the street :) Money: Claiming he could not accept my request for 3 nights, host said to book 4 nights and he would “work it out later.” Then later he actually argued about whether he was responsible to refund all or just part of the fourth night. Much later I got a refund check for what he called "one and a half days" which was in fact one day plus 22 bucks. The 22 is compensation for the miserable stay? Hardly. Unusual experience: I have often used (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), B&B places, small motels, in US and abroad … all with great or acceptable accommodations. This is the only truly awful and just plain creepy stay i have ever had.

Dave was very responsive to our emails once we booked and before we arrived. He was there to greet us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the house. The bedroom was spacious and clean. He was generous with his advice and his space. The listing said his home had wifi but he doesn't. He did offer us use of his computer, however. We stayed in Westwood because it was in close proximity to Lassen Volcanic National Park so the location was convenient. The neighborhood was quiet and seemed safe. We stayed one night. We left before Dave woke up the next morning and did not have hot water to shower so we're not sure what the issue was with the lack of hot water.

I arrived at Davids home about 6pm and David was there to welcome me. He immediately helped me to carry my luggage into the housing showed me my room and the bathroom. 'after getting settled in David offered me a cup of tea and explained the places of local interest David is a welcoming host and I enjoyed visiting with him

Dave has a clean and comfortable home in a friendly small town. The room for rent is at the other side of the house, away from Dave's room, so there was a lot of privacy. I felt safe and comfortable, and would definitely come back again.

David was a gracious and hospitable host, and I enjoyed my night in his homey old house. The room in which I stayed was clean and tidy. I was only prevented from sleeping like a rock until morning by the other guests (a lovely couple in the next room) getting up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night; the floors are hardwood and quite creaky—par for the course in an older home. The neighborhood is fairly rundown, but David's house and the immediate area are fine. I would be happy stay at David's place again, which is really all that needs to be said.

The home was everything we needed, and the neighborhood was quiet and calm. We liked that it felt like a real home with all the decorations and furnishings rather than a sterile hotel. The place was easy to find, but be careful that in 2016 (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps incorrectly says the home is in Susanville. Follow signs for Westwood.

The location is close to Lassen National Park. The house has everything we were looking for, accommodate 6 people very comfortable.

The cabin was just as described. Good location for us to walk and have a great pizza and beer. The beds were comfortable and everything we needed was handy. It made for a restful night after an all day motorcycle ride. We were able to rise fresh and ready for the next day's full ride. Would definitely stay again when visiting the area

This cabin is the perfect place for a weekend getaway! My boyfriend and I celebrated our two year anniversary here and it was cozy and relaxing with beautiful views. I fell in love with Franklin the cat, who lives on the porch. The Meyer's were great and welcomed us to explore anywhere on the farm. We wish we could have stayed longer!

I was looking for a snow getaway for my wife's birthday, and I couldn't have found a better place. We have a 3-year-old, so we weren't looking for the standard Tahoe-type ski vacation. Our daughter loves animals, so the Meyers Ranch Retreat was perfect. We arrived at night, and we were greeted and helped into the cabin by Christine and Chris's 23-year-old son Will. He was super friendly, and as the trip went on, he let us help him feed the cows, took us on an all-terrain-vehicle ride into the mountains behind the houses, and made us a fire in a big fire pit next to a creek running through the property. We got to play with their extremely friendly and well-trained dogs, and my daughter loved feeding Tiger, the cat who lives outside the front door of the cabin. The cabin was very cozy and perfectly equipped and well-appointed, and its main bed was very comfortable. The ranch has cows, a horse, the dogs and cat, chickens meandering, and even a beaver (that we weren't quite patient enough to see) that lives in the creek near the cabin. Our stay came between storms, but there was plenty of snow up in the mountains, about 15-20 minutes away from the ranch. All in all, it was a tremendous stay, and the Meyers family is wonderful, as is their massive ranch, their animals, and their cabin. We can't recommend it enough, and we can't wait to return. P.S. If you've never ridden in one, you can't beat a Gator ride.

I have never been to a more charming place. With all the animals running around the cows the horses and of course the two family dogs and Franklin the cat the lives on the porch I felt like I was in Little House on the Prairie and life was simple and peaceful and I miss it so very much being back home in Minnesota I will try everything I can to get back there one day to experience that magic again.

Staying at the Meyers Ranch was a unique, relaxing, and extremely enjoyable experience. We were there with our 23mo son who enjoyed playing with the cat, dogs and chickens, as well as all the toys in the old barn. We even got to witness a calf's birth which was an amazing experience for us. Aside from the many attractions of the region (Lassen Volcano, Lake Almanor, Feather River, and lots of hikes), the Meyers Ranch is one in its own right. The view is scenic and the night sky is as good as it gets. The Meyers family is welcoming, they went out of there way to make sure we had everything we needed. The cabin is well equipped and very homey.

Great place to stay. Probably the best place in this area! Beautiful scenery surrounding this ranch. Christine the host makes sure you have what you need but respects your privacy. The cabin was great and the two family cow dogs and the kitty that lives on the porch add a wonderful touch.

This was an amazing cottage! The family is very welcoming. My hubby and I had a wonderful time. It was the perfect weekend getaway. The views of the mountains are very relaxing. The interiors of the cottage are just gorgeous and it is a very cozy place. There is also a lovely cat that comes to the porch. Would highly recommend if you are looking to explore this area and country getaway. :)

We stayed at David's beautiful home for 3 days while visiting nearby Lassen Nat'l Forest. David is a very considerate host and allround great person to hang out with. We really enjoyed learning about Westwood's history and the conversations we had with David. We had a wonderful time and would recommend staying with David to anyone, especially if you are visiting Lassen. PS David is also an amazing cook! ;-)

On a trip to Lassen Volcanic Park I chose to stay with a relative at David's house although it was not that close to the park. But it relevealed to be a superb decision. David managed to set everything to get us into the house in a fuss-free way, although we were late. The house was funky, cosy and full of books and magazines. Everything was well prepared. When finally meeting him the next day, we recognized meeting him before would have been more fun - he was nice, keen on discussion and hospitable. Definitely again, when I should manage it once to be back in town!

David provided us with great information about where to go and what to do in Westwood. He was a gracious host , his house is within walking distance to restaurants , bars , and grocery store. We enjoyed our stay with David as we were passing through the area.

We stayed for the night at David's house on our way to visit Lassen National Parc. The place is cozy and we had a very nice time there. David is a great host and a nice person to talk with.

Dave is awesome! He is very hospitable and knowledgeable about the area in regards to outdoor activities. He made a couple of excellent restaurant recommendations in town. His home fits in with the old town country charm of the area. He is also very flexible on check in time. We were in the area mainly to explore Lassen and hike Bumpass Hell and Devil's Kitchen. We enjoyed our stay with Dave and definitely would visit again.

David was a great host, we were very last minute with our request. He was quick on response and making our room ready for us. The house is a classic older home, very comfortable. David gave us ideas for meals in the area. We enjoyed our stay.

Three of us cozily stayed in one bedroom. Everything was mindfully set up for us. We also had our own bathroom. It was fascinating to learn about the history of the house and to get a grand tour and information about the quirky aspects of the place. Overall, we highly recommend staying with David. Getting to know him and sleeping at his lovely home, although brief, was a treat.

We had a wonderful stay at Kevin's place this week. The place is charming ,clean and comfortable. It is less than 30 min from Alamnor lake.The house is spacious and can easily accommodate 7 people. Kevin is super responsive. He answered all my queries within a day. Check-in and check-out was convenient. I would definitely recommend it to anybody who wants to explore lassen national park.

This is my second time booking Kevin's cabin. My parents and I had a really good time staying in his cabin. Kevin responded fast and really helpful. Hope we can come back next time :)

Kevin was amazing throughout the entire process. He was very flexible with our arrival schedule and had everything setup for us so we could arrive and relax immediately! The cabin is a wonderful retreat with amazing grounds and very warm feel. The cabin is set back from the road so the only noise you'll hear is mother nature herself! We loved our stay and would be back again next year if they'll have us.

Clean, quiet and comfortable were important for us this time. Kelvin’s cabin were exactly what we were looking for! well-maintained, equipped and dust free…, was absolute gem in the woods! The self-check in was easy. 2 bedrooms included a master suite and a loft could be easily to fit 6 people and/or up. Although the cabin is just little bit outside of lake Almanor, there are short drive to another lakes such as Butt Valley and Round Valley Reservoir. However, we appreciated quiet neighborhood. Our cellphone signal (Verizon) was no problem plus wifi inside cabin as well. Kelvin is very responsive and helped us with all of our kayaking and fishing questions promptly. We had a very relaxing stay and hope to visit again in the future. We definitely recommend it to anyone.

Kevin was a great host! The location was WELL BEYOND our expectations! The home was lovely and the location was fantastic. The home was cleaner than most hotels I've stayed in. The piece of land that the home is on was huge and very relaxing. Really hope to return soon. Big kitchen. The living room was very spacious. The deck was a nice big wrap around style that was covered. Bedrooms were spacious. Bathrooms were nice and roomy as well. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, full fridge and freezer, and oven and stove top. Backyard had a lot to offer. Wish we had more time to enjoy it. All in all we were very very very pleased!
