**2.4 Miles Away - Approximately 5 Minutes** Always fun no matter what age! At the time that America was entering into the second World War, there were barely 100 drive-ins across the United States. And within 10 years, Tennessee by itself would have that many. The peak years for drive-ins in Tennessee were in the late 1950's when the state had just over 100. After that, they declined as they did elsewhere. Currently, the state has 13 operating drive-ins in the state.
