The memorial that marks the site of the 1963 Plane Crash that claimed the lives of Country Music Star Patsy Cline, Hawkshaw Hawkins and Cowboy Copas along with Patsy's Manager and Pilot Randy Hughes is located in a very rural area just outside of Camden, Tennessee. There is a small parking area along with a historical marker at the top of the hill overlooking the actual crash site. From the parking area there is a well maintained path that leads to the crash site about a 1/4 miles away. The crash site is marked by a memorial boulder that is inscribed with the name of those who died here along with the date of the crash. The site is very well maintained and visitors should honor those who died here with silence and respect. If you should visit during the summer month be sure to wear insect repellent as the site is in a heavily wood area and mosquitos are everywhere.
