Carl's Frozen Custard is a must for travelers visiting Virginia and locals alike. The secret? The secret is in the machines, and they own all that's left of the Electo-Freeze machines, enough for spare parts and molds. These machines, unlike newer models, don't pump air into the cream.

A favorite local brewery ! The menu is constantly evolving with rotational options like house risottos, soups of the day, fish of the day, and gourmet burger night to name a few. Also, the chef likes to edit and update the menu based on seasonal availability of produce every few months to keep things fresh and interesting.

Located 5 minutes/ 2 miles from a local swimming pool and golf course. Curtis Memorial Park sits just north of US 17 in the quiet countryside of Stafford County. In addition to hardwood forest and open fields, the park holds the Gauntlet Golf Course and Curtis Lake. The lake acts as a magnet for waterfowl in the area and can often be productive, with great blue herons fishing its shores and belted kingfishers and the occasional osprey or bald eagle perching on the many dead trees.
