Holiday rentals with lake access in Saimaa

Cozy tidy house in a nice location, perfect for our group's weekend stay. The host responded to messages very quickly, and we thought the price/quality ratio was excellent.

Incredible lakeside lodge just an hour's drive from Helsinki is a dream. Had a hire car and the place was easy to find — stunning views, top-notch facilities, and so peaceful. It tempted four slightly mad Brits to dive into the lake and hit the sauna — pure Finnish therapy! Markus is a fantastic host, offering not just a beautiful place to stay but also helped with local info.

This is one of the best places we have stayed. It is a very quiet, peaceful location, surrounded by nature and beauty. If that's what you are looking for then this is the place for you. The house is stunning and modern with great views, the sauna is wonderful and encourages relaxation. We also loved using the boat and swam in the lake about 6 times each day! It's worth stocking up on food in one of the big supermarkets like the one in Lahti, but there are some amazing restaurants within a 35-40 minute drive. We are looking forward to staying here again soon.

Great cottage in a great location. Great scenery, clean water, peaceful surroundings, and the lakeside sauna got the best steam you can imagine. The perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Very nice place to stay! We stayed 3 nights and we loved it! Perfect for some relax with a lot of walkable routes, the sauna in the house and right on the lake. The only problem we had was with the wifi, who wasn’t really working. We can definitely recommend this place :)

Lovely place right by the lake. Great sauna and easy to swim in the lake. Kitchen has everything needed for cooking. Bed is super comfortable and the views from inside area amazing. Very beautiful, peaceful and quiet location, would definitely stay again!

This property is peaceful, clean and cozy. It corresponded to the information provided about the property: The glazed balcony and the spacious river landscape visible from all windows crown the ensemble. For those traveling by car, a parking space is available at the same price. Life is made easier by S-market across the street. It is open Mon-Sat from 7 am to 10 pm, Sun from 9 am to 10 pm. The distance between the accommodation and the city center is short. Just cross the river along the Suvantos bridge and you are already at the market. If you wish, you can leave your car in the parking lot and move around carefree on foot without parking problems. Communication with the hosts went smoothly without any problems. Great place to stay: beautiful, tidy, stunning scenery, and most importantly, everything ready for traveling with small children. Up to two closet toys! The time passed comfortably and we all enjoyed it.

Very cozy, clean and well-equipped two-room apartment right in the city center. Maritta and Timo were also both very friendly and responded to messages quickly. Perfect for a weekend getaway, but I would have enjoyed staying in the apartment for longer! 5/5

Nice, fairly new apartment in a very good location and with a great lake view. Three adults can be comfortably accommodated, and more can fit. Breakfast supplies were available and slow charging was also provided for the electric car. Comfortable, helpful and professional host Jussi. You can safely spend more than one day in this apartment, recommended!

We ollu stayed one night but it was really nice place with a perfektionisti sunset vire over the lake.

Perfect listing! It was better than the photos suggested. Even though it was a Venetian weekend, we were left alone for the entire long weekend. On the pier, we were able to admire the Isokoskelo family and the swan couple with their child. The water was clean and clear, the steam in the lakeside sauna was great!

Our stay at Emmy's cottage was perfect. A wonderful place in a truly beautiful part of the world. The cottage had everything that you would want of a Finnish mökki holiday, and was the perfect base to explore Savonlinna and the whole Saimaa region. It made for a memorable experience. A great place to relax, enjoy sauna, fishing and paddling. Niko responds very quickly, is very responsive to spontaneous enquiries and provides lots of tips.

Nice cottage with all that you need for a holiday stay.

We spent a lovely cottage weekend enjoying the outdoors, swimming, and sauna. The stay was a short drive from services like a grocery store. There was a storm over the weekend and we were at the cottage for almost a day without electricity, but Markus handled it in the best way and without asking.

Simply fantastic. The house, the lake, the sauna, just everything. You get what is on the pictures and super nice hosts. We were also super lucky with the weather and were therefore able to use the terrace around the house a lot.

Japitos Cottage provided an excellent setting for our weekend holiday! The cottage was in a very peaceful location, and the rainy days did not interfere with the stay. Jarno provided comprehensive instructions for using the cottage well in advance of our arrival and, if necessary, he also responds quickly to messages. We highly recommend this place!
