Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Saint Croix River

Great cozy cottage with resort amenities. We used the canoe and kayak and brought out own kayaks at the private lakes. Lots of quiet roads to bike and little destinations to get to - pool, beach, restaurant, golf course. We swam everyday in the lake or at the pool. Great location to explore- so many great little towns from St. Croix Falls to Danbury to Balsalm Lake to Spooner with a lot of food choices. We even caught a ton of panfish ( but threw most back) and had a fresh- caught meal.

This is a place and town I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away from the city and city people. Natalie was a wonderful host and was very proactive in asking if we needed firewood or anything else! We absolutely loved eating at the thirsty badger, talking to friendly locals, going in the hot tub, going to the state park, and canoeing as the short list! There are so many ways to get outside or have a cozy time inside (we chose puzzles). The only thing we did not appreciate were the bugs, so bring some spray, but definitely check this place out!

We enjoyed the experience of the tree house. Very clean, everything we needed to stay was there,kitchen,bathrooms,accessories. Beautiful setting,fun experience.

Joan, John and Tucker were exceptional hosts! Our stay was everything we needed after a long day of traveling. Joan was super responsive. Her and John were so accommodating for us and our pup! The yard was amazing, so private, we had a fire and let our pup explore the yard. The hummingbirds were a bonus to watch. Their place was super clean, had all we needed and more and was so quiet and peaceful. It was a bonus our pups got to play with each other, our pup enjoyed it so much, he hardly wanted to leave! Highly recommend!

A great place to stay. A well kept farm house. The communication with the host was excellent.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay. The weather was a little rainy, but even on the rainy days there was plenty of family fun to be had. And we were able to take advantage of the beautiful moments when the sun did peak out and get out and enjoy the beach and the kayaks and the firepit. It was a perfect getaway!

We had a wonderful time at David's Airbnb. David met us outside, and welcomed us. The cottage was really lovely. It was clean, and nicely furnished, with a beautiful view of the lake. The beds were very comfortable. The weather was perfect, so we spent the evening sitting outside enjoying the view. I would love to stay again.

My family had a wonderful stay at Grey Duck Lodge. The house is beautiful and comfortable, and we appreciated the welcoming touches. I come from California every year to see my dad, but this was the first time staying in a house with my brothers and their wives. Grey Duck was perfect for this, lots of room to stretch out with plenty of spaces to be together and separate. There’s plenty to do in the area so we had the perfect combination of being active and relaxing. Kathy was great with quick responses to my questions. We also loved the selection of games since it rained quite a bit while we were there. We will definitely consider staying again next year.

Very cozy and cute and extremely clean! Everything is helpfully labeled and easy to find. Very comfortable and everything we needed for our night in town before Grandma’s. Would return next time I’m in the Duluth/Superior area!

Enjoyed our stay at Sydney’s place. She was very helpful and it was a cozy home! Lovely town and definitely need to try the smash burgers at Washington Square!

This cozy apartment was just what we were looking for. It was very clean and well decorated. It had a refrigerator which I didn’t notice in the listing. The host provided snacks, essential toiletries, and games. We had a question for the host during our stay and they responded quickly. We had a great stay!

I absolutely have nothing negative to say! This place was exactly as described. It was super cozy, immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, full of amenities, and the owners were beyond quick with their communication. Five stars!!

We loved our stay — we only wish our trip was much longer! Sara’s place was perfect for our quick overnighter to the cities. She was very easy to chat with and get help from, and she really wanted to serve us well! An amazingly cute place that’s just the right size for a couple! Loved it! Hoping to return someday!

This was such a nice place. Very pretty. The snacks and breakfast items were a perfect extra touch!

So great that we came here a second time! This property is a slice of heaven. Gorgeous sunset views. Kayaks and paddle boats were perfect for our young family being able to paddle to the sand bars and enjoy the lake. “Serenity” is such a perfect description. We will be back again next summer, Lord willing!

Anna's apartment was absolutely beautiful. It was so clean. There are cute ice trays in the freezer which I very much enjoyed. The apartment is very bright and beautiful with it's tall ceilings. The apartment is next to a bar, but there is a noise machine and a TV in the bedroom to help with noise, that wasn't even that bad. I will definitely be recommending her place to anyone who plans on going to the Chequamegon Bay area.

Comfortable, clean second floor condo a short drive from Bayfield with wooded view from kitchen window. Working jacuzzi and adequate cooking supplies. Jon was quick to respond to questions.

Karen’s place had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It truly felt like home. The park right in front of the house made evening walks especially enjoyable. I’d recommend it to other guests!

Sarah communicated well and followed up. we had one small problem with water pressure and she responded immediately and had the problem fixed right away.

Kathryn is a top notch, excellent hostess! She always responded quickly to any questions and communicated early check in to us so we could plan accordingly. It was wonderful to have received such warm, personal, inviting hospitality as we did with Kathryn! The Airbnb was BEAUTIFUL, so clean, comfortable, and welcoming. It was so great to have all we needed in the kitchen to make meals with such an organized & well stocked kitchen. We totally felt at home there and would have loved to stay longer! We look forward to returning in the future. This was above 5 star experience for us! We GREATLY APPRECIATE the warm and inviting, awesome hospitality and accommodations! Thank you Kathryn :)

I loved the spaciousness of the unit in this beautiful Victorian house. It is in the beautiful Irvine Park district. It is close to the lively West 7th district and to the shops and pubs along the Mississippi River. I will definitely stay here again.

We loved staying here! This was a very comfortable apartment for two of us and it’s spacious enough to be comfortable for more guests too. I especially appreciated the full working kitchen, high efficiency laundry facilities, and great temperature controls, lots of very soft throw blankets, and ample WiFi. We both worked from the apartment and sometimes both had Zoom meetings at once, and there was never an issue. We hope to be back! This place is a keeper.
