Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Saint John

This place is amazing, the views are to die for. It was clean and quiet. Neighbors quiet as well. Parking spot a little tight but I found that going past and turning around much easier to pull into. Beds were comfy and my husband could not stop talking about the beautiful shower and how much he loved the rain shower facet. Andy is super quick to respond to every message and help out with anything you ask. We will definitely come back to this wonderful paradise cottage. Thanks for a great vacation get away.

This was our second visit to St. John, and Villa Nesta was the perfect spot for us! If you’re looking for a perfectly appointed house, with breathtaking views, peace and quiet, a friendly and helpful host, and easily navigable roads to and from local beaches and restaurants, look no further. We especially loved the gorgeous back deck and the tranquility of the outdoor shower. We had one full day of rain this trip, which we took as an opportunity to stay in, relax, and simply appreciate the seascapes all around us. We will absolutely be back!

Jon is a wonderful host. We have stayed there multiple times and are always pleased and amazed at the house. So much room, and the kitchen and living area are incredible to hang out in. Looking out of the house through the sliding doors to the bay cannot be accurately described. Great location for a direct walk to downtown Cruz Bay and all restaurants. You have to stay here!

As other reviews noted, the drive up was intimidating at first, so a jeep is a must. Kim met us in Coral Bay and we followed her up, but once we went up and down it was easy. The view of the sunrise is incredible, and it's remote enough that we didn't see another person the whole time we were there. Skinny Legs is at the bottom of the hill and we went there multiple times, Lime Out is nearby and is also a must. Most beaches are about a 15-20 minute drive; Kim had several recommendations. We'll very likely be back within the next year or so.

Gorgeous views, clean place, and a short drive from Red Hook Ferry.

I can honestly say this was the cleanest air bnb rental I have ever stayed in AND It has everything you need: an ice chest, beach chairs, and snorkel gear to borrow. The location was AMAZING. It is pretty much a 5-10 minute walk to anything you would want to check out in Cruz Bay. St. John has some pretty extreme hills as you get further from town, so staying here was perfect. There was always parking right in-front of the building. Thanks for a great place to stay!

Patrick and Thecla were waiting for us and gave us step to step instruction to reach the Air B&B. They were very welcoming. They helped us get our bags in the unit and showed us where to find any supplies that may be needed during our stay. Patrick checked in with us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. They were wonderful hosts, and the unit had several "extras" to make our stay enjoyable. We loved the privacy provided and we had a wonderful time discovering some of the birds and animals in the area. (we had a stork visit, deer visited one morning and an iguana I could check on daily!) I would recommend anyone staying to watch the sun set at the top of the complex at least once during their stay. The lawn chairs, cooler and beach bag were used daily, and we appreciated having them available.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at St. John and choosing Ramona and Chris’s place was absolutely perfect. Chris met us when we got our rental car and led us to the Airbnb which was so kind and helpful. He gave us a ton of local recommendations and answered any questions we had throughout the week. The views are absolutely breathtaking and are hard to fully capture on their listing pictures! The AC worked wonderfully and the outdoor shower made things feel extra tropical! The place came with a few cat friends that we thoroughly enjoyed and the stairs were the perfect workout in the morning before the beach. We hope to come back to St. John in the near future and will most definitely be back here if it is just the two of us! Thanks for making our trip so memorable with a wonderful home for the week!!

Our group of 3 found this Airbnb to be perfect for our few nights in town. The space was clean, stocked with towels soap detergent and beach essentials, and the porch area was our favorite part. Checkin was easy and simple. Beware!!!! The hike into town is not for the weak - but we did it multiple times. Decent spot if you aren’t renting a car, taxis are around and 2/3rds of the walk has a sidewalk.

My 10-year-old daughter and I had a great stay! Tricia and Dave were super kind and communicative, giving lots of helpful suggestions and were there whenever an issue arose. A few things to note: — the space is just below their home, and you can definitely hear them upstairs when they’re home — they provide so many helpful things to make your time there wonderful: beach chairs, towels, snorkel gear, Floaties, etc. — the listed address is not correct, so be sure to follow directions listed or maybe ask them privately for the correct address. I had no problems with GPS on the island, and I have Verizon — there’s no AC, but they do a great job of providing fans and ventilated windows — be sure to sleep with all lights off. We left a light on for the comfort of my daughter, the first night, and woke up to a lot of bugs inside. Lesson learned! Overall, a great stay, and we would happily return!

We had a great stay here! The porch is lovely with a view of the bay. It's right across the street from Skinny Legs which was a great place to grab a bite and a drink. There's a lot of wildlife around too which was fun to see. I recommend this place!

We had an excellent stay at Dean and Melissa's. The view is spectacular and just like the photos on the listing! The hosts were very easy to communicate with and provided some great recommendations. Their apartment has everything you might need (and more) for your stay. Feels/sounds like you're in the rainforest at night with sounds of nature. You can hear the few cars that drive by from the road so if you're someone that needs complete quiet at night you may take that into consideration - it did not bother us in the slightest. Would highly recommend Dean and Melissa's place if you're planning a trip to the USVI!

A perfect place to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary! Very clean, well equipped, and the view was so romantic during our candlight dinners! Everything was very comfy. Walking distance to restaurants and markets, yet nicely secluded. Views of the Bay from every window, and not far from the best beaches with a good jeep. James was quick to answer all questions. We would rent this place again!

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the space! GREAT location, awesome food choices, grocery store in the same building. Be sure to check out Giovanni's Coffee shop..what a GEM!! And Sam and Kack's deli was to die for! A short 10 min walk into town, but we did rent a jeep for 1 day to see all the island. Great stay, would definitely choose this location again!

This place was so clean and comfortable. After long days on the beach, I looked forward to coming back to the nest. As a solo traveler who doesn’t drive, the only note I have is that the nest is far from cabs and taxis. I had to walk a bit and hitchhike to get anywhere, which isn’t a big complaint but worth noting!

DO NOT GET ANY OTHER AIRBNB. I know I am some random internet stranger but this is the best airbnb I have ever stayed in. Mryla is the absolute best and the location is amazing. The apartment is perfect with a beautiful view and the beaches nearby are perfect. Do not miss out on this, trust.

My fiancé and I stayed here for our annual trooical getaway. We're from the mountains of Colorado so we're very active and adventerous. This place was perfect! Close to the Red Hook ferries, some great restaurants, and everything was very driveable. We had a rental car and I'd recommend it for this location. It made life very easy. We enjoyed multiple dinners at home because the windows really do look like that and they're SPOTLESS. Enjoy that patio but definitely light a bug candle. We did everything! Hiking, snorkeling off beaches, snorkeling using boat charters... everything. We love this island and Veronica's little condo was exceptional. We did lose power for 1 night. I would recommend blasting the AC the minute you get back to prepare for having to go a night without it and do not open the windows if it happens. Just ride it out. Blame WAPA. I use a CPAP machine and brought a travel battery. I strongly recommend you do the same and bring battery banks for phones at least.

Deb & Darryl's condo is quite possibly the very BEST location at Sapphire Beach! Being on the ground floor made access to and from the beach so simple (especially with a kid) and the view is still fantastic from the porch - but the view is even BETTER just steps away on the shore! D&D are extremely thoughtful about what they provide to their guests: a stash of masks, snorkels, fins (even two pairs that would fit a child), beach bags, pool noodles/floats, and ample bath AND beach towels. From the small and large coolers (w/ some ice packs ready for use in the freezer), to the Shout laundry spray, the condo was well stocked with all the essentials! *Check the fridge before going to the store!* The music from the bar/restaurant area next door was noticeable (background "thumping") when outside, but it was not heard when inside the condo with the doors closed. Other than a dinghy rental on St. John, we spent most days hanging out at Sapphire- so beautiful with great waves to play in!

Love how the place is cozy, and very clean, and came with equipped kitchen ware to cook with. The condo had a beautiful view, and the drive was not as bad as we thought from the airport. Overall this place is lovely we have no complaints.

We had a great time staying at sail away on sapphire beach. Great walkout little condo with easy access to all of St. Thomas. Super close to Red hook, 20 minutes to magens bay and minutes to various other beaches. We took the car ferry a couple times to St. John and that is super close as well. We met lots of nice people in the same complex. The pool is right outside the condo and watching the sunrises every morning was a treat. We stayed with our son who slept on the pullout and we were all comfortable.

Great place to stay! Very convenient if you want to explore St. John too! John was responsive and kind. We really appreciated the recommendations and insights into the area prior to our stay. We would love to stay here again soon!

Mts's was a great accommodation for my daughter and I for her birthday trip. The scenery was breathtakingly beautiful. We enjoyed being awakened by the roosters each morning. There were several restaurants in the vicinity. We ate dinner at the restaurant called Root 42 bar and Grill located on the resort. We had breakfast at the coffee shop on the resort called Northside Grind. We did walk to Magen's Bay which was about a 10-15 minute walk so it wasn't too bad just a little scary (due to the fast drivers and critters roaming around) since there were no sidewalks. We did stop by the a restaurant/ice cream shop for lunch called the Udder Delights and Double Palms Bar and Grill. I must admit that the food was delicious. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. A few words of caution.........MAKE SURE YOU PUT ON BUG REPELLENT!!!!! I had over 100 mosquito bites on me and it was nothing nice.

I’m giving a real review Shannon is absolutely lovely she was far more than accommodating for my trip I had arranged things for my girlfriend prior to arriving and she was very helpful flight got delayed so we got to check out later and was perfectly cool about it she’s truly an angel and made this trip amazing for us I really appreciate her and highly recommend anybody to book her truly phenomenal and I definitely plan on coming back if I can give 10 stars I would
