Beachfront holiday rentals in Saint Margarets Bay

We were in town with our 11 and 13 year old boys and this was the PERFECT spot for kids! The boys played basketball, went to the beach, did some kayaking, used the bikes & scooters. We also took advantage of the bonfire pit each night. This is a fantastic spot for families with plenty of activities to keep you busy both outdoors and indoors (tons of different games available to play). The only suggestion I have is that there be more pans to use. We had one small pan for the weekend which was challenging when cooking large meals for 4 people (we had to cook bacon, clean the pan, then cook sausages, clean the pan, then cook our eggs for example). Other than that TINY inconvenience this spot is well worth the money! Ethel was extremely responsive, friendly and welcoming. We felt right at home and will likely return!

From the moment we arrived at this charming cottage, we were blown away by the breathtaking view. It made every sunrise and sunset feel magical. The amenities were equally impressive. The cottage was clean, and beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we needed - from a fully stocked kitchen to linens and even games for a rainy day. The location was fantastic, as we were just minutes away from local grocery stores and a mix of eateries - perfect for grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a leisurely dinner. Plus, the area is packed with sightseeing adventures and historic landmarks to hidden gems we discovered along the way. This place felt like home away from home and we can’t wait to go back again!

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming Airbnb! The space was quaint, spotless, and incredibly peaceful - the perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway. The private hot tub overlooking the ocean was a definite highlight, and everything was thoughtfully prepared. It truly felt like our own little slice of paradise. Our Stay at the Fish Shack was pure magic. Loved every minute of it. From the idyllic, beautiful location, charming, authentic folk art that filled the property, comfortable bed, linens, furnishing, well stocked kitchen, lovely deck and setting, we couldn’t ask for a more enjoyable visit and host. Wow. I’ve stayed in loads of Airbnbs, and this is by far the best. It’s absolutely stunning, and the attention to detail is spectacular. Vicky has created a gorgeous, comfortable space that truly highlights the natural beauty of Porters Lake. This is such a special place, and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay here.

this AirBNB is VERY well managed and the details are accurate. I never had to once wonder about any topic, communication was generally started by the hosts and anticipated any need or questions. This is how they should all be run.

Beautiful location and home. We stayed 3 nights. We were in the Hubbards area for a family wedding. It was so great to have the beach house as a little escape retreat from the the rest of the hustle and bustle of the wedding preparations when needed. We were a group of 6 and two from our group both had mobility issues. The 2 bedrooms on the main floor were perfect for them. Beautiful patio and lots of fresh sea air!

Obsessed! Loved the place. Beautiful and quiet location. The beds were so comfortable with sheets that were so soft. Would highly recommend.

I was looking for a last minute booking when I had to abandon my camping plans due to a storm. Dee was super responsive to my last minute request and was extremely accommodating making sure that I had plenty of fire wood and water in case the power went out. She also dropped off extra towels and blankets for my pup and was warm and welcoming to us both. The property is off the main road and was great for playing frisbee with my dog. The old store was wonderfully refurbished, keeping many of the original features while providing all the modern conveniences. I hope to be back!!!

Very enjoyable! Gorgeous views. Beautiful house and property. Close to amenities, beaches, and Halifax. Our children all had their own rooms, and space, which always leads to sleep filled nights. One bedroom did not have curtains which would have been nice, especially with the long days. I would have liked to have an extra hour to check out, as 10am is a little early, especially for the price, and check in is not until 4pm. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this place.

Absolutely stunning place. Extremely responsive and kind host. Lots of dishes, cookware, appliances to use. Extremely comfortable beds. Three pristine bathrooms. Clean fridge. Stellar and stunning ocean views! Perfect all around

The house was amazing. Very remote and quiet. But only 30 minutes to busier locations with shopping, restaurants, etc. Within 10 minutes, RoseBay Bistro & Market and Dear Emma Pizza (incredible!) provide all you need otherwise. The beach is incredible. Sitting in the chairs at the edge of the beach, over the dunes, is the perfect spot for morning coffee or a happy hour cocktail! The house design is like a piece of art - the many levels and nooks make it a very unique experience. It is well furnished with all sorts of things you might want to enjoy your stay. Very thoughtful. We look forward to a return visit.

Raquel’s place, “Vista Del Mar,” is absolutely gorgeous!! The open concept of the main level allows for guests to dine and intermingle while enjoying the picturesque view of St. Margaret’s Bay. Raquel was quick to respond to messages and was a pleasure to talk to! A short scenic drive to Peggy’s Cove and Halifax. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone travelling to Nova Scotia. You will not be disappointed with this gorgeous well appointed home. We had 12 family members with us and we had plenty of space for everyone ! We were very comfortable in every room. The beds are wonderful with lovely bedding. The views from this home are extra special. Particularly the partially covered upper deck. We watched osprey and eagles flying over water from the comfortable outdoor furniture We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace in the evenings. We had a great time at the Point House. The house gave us panoramic views of the cove and pond. Hot tub a plus. Emma was very generous, friendly and welcoming.

Above and Beyond Booked this trip for a group of 7 guys in our early 30s, and it couldn’t have worked out better. Everyone had their own bed, and the space was the perfect size for us with all the facilities we needed. The views were stunning. I knew it was on the ocean, but wow - photos really don’t do it justice. While we were there, some of us spotted seals and even saw a whale — a pretty exciting wildlife moment. Not sure how common that is, but it was a highlight for us, being from out of province . Uber does reach the property, which made a night out in Halifax easy, though we also rented a car to get around — both options worked well. Huge thanks to the hosts. We’d love to come back
