Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Saint Merryn

Before we had checked out, we had reserved for next year. A superb property, in a beautiful, quiet location, but is just 10 minutes walk away from bars and restaurants. 1 minute walk from a beach, next door to an historic ancient church and absolutely idyllic. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay in a great location. The beaches at Constantine Bay and Harlyn Bay were stunning—and both less than a 10-minute drive away. We enjoyed it so much we didn’t even feel the need to visit Newquay as we had originally planned. The house is just a 3-minute walk from St Merryn’s shops, cafes, bakery, and pub, making everything really convenient. There’s also a small park nearby, perfect for children. Padstow Harbour is only a short drive away, and MacDonald Farm—with its excellent playground, farm animals, and open space for kids—is also under 10 minutes away. The house itself was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed to cook dinner each evening. Helen was friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with. We’d happily return and would definitely recommend it to others.

Have stayed here 3 times now & we just love St Merryn! The location is perfect for all the beautiful beaches & Padstow! The house has everything you could need & is modern & spacious. We will definitely return next year & would recommend to anyone who loves Cornwall.

A nice place to stay in St Agnes and was walking distance to the beach

Such a lovely house and location, Jonathan is a great host, responsive and helpful. We have stayed here a few times now and we definitely hope to return again!

We had the most wonderful stay in St Agnes — such a quaint and friendly village with some amazing places to eat (don’t miss The Cornish Pizza Company!). St Agnes Head at sunset was truly stunning, and the whole village was incredibly dog friendly — our elderly companion was warmly welcomed everywhere we went. There are gorgeous short walks perfect for a gentle potter, and it’s clear there are longer routes for the more adventurous too. As for The Bower Barn — it was an absolute dream! The place had everything we needed and more. The vibes were spot-on: cozy, stylish, and completely relaxing. The enclosed garden was huge and felt so private and safe — especially appreciated coming from London. We were lucky with the weather and loved being able to open all the skylights upstairs to let the breeze in. We stayed for three nights and genuinely didn’t want to leave. I already wish we’d booked for longer — and we’re already planning our return. Can’t recommend it enough!

What a wonderful find. We met at Tygwella for a family holiday, some of us coming from Australia and some from Manchester. The house was ideal. It was spacious so we could occupy different “wings” with our own bathrooms and come together for meals, chat and play. The house was very generously supplied with basic provisions, kitchen and laundry equipment. We wanted for nothing. Having two ovens was great for cooking adult and children’s meals. The location was so peaceful with great views and easy access to the coast path and beach.

We had a long drive to get to the property and so what a wonderful relief it was to get inside. The place was as described, exceptionally clean & the layout was really suited to our needs. The garden was a great size & perfectly secure for our dog and she very much enjoyed a good sniff around. The kitchen had everything we needed and the fantastic addition of bean to cup coffee machine which was much appreciated. The beds were very comfy and the linen provided was great quality. Homely touches throughout were also greatly appreciated. Lots of places to go nearby and walks to take the dog on from the doorstep. It felt very safe in the local neighbourhood. Richard and Danielle were quick to respond to any messages. Thank you so much for all of the effort you put in to maintain a lovely air b&b.

The Lodge is absolutely lovely. It had everything I needed in it. Mark is friendly and approachable. He left breakfast bits, shower gel and shampoo in The Lodge. Would happily stay again.

Had an amazing weekend in st Ives thanks to Paul who sent instructions beforehand and upon arrival the place was immaculate. Beds were super comfy my 5 year old even slept in which is VERY unlike him🤣 Great location restaurants are 5⭐️ And the views from the apartment you could watch all day and the beaches are beautiful Would definitely recommend if your looking to book :)

Just got home after a 4 day stay at The Wheatstore and am jumping on the 5 star review bandwagon. Just the loveliest of stays, beautiful accommodation that felt just like home. A 2 minute drive or a 20 minute walk to Polzeath beach. Clare & Mike are lovely people and happy to help if you need anything. Will definitely be back. Our new home from home 🥰

As soon as we walked through that door we could see the beautiful sea and we were just in awe of the place. The location is 10/10, the apartment is stunning and so quiet and we didn’t really notice that we had neighbours which was lovely and made it feel private which is what we look for in a place. Cornwall as whole as well is just stunning and we HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking at it. We have found a special place and we will hopefully come back again and again. This is our happy place. We were so sad to leave as we had such a beautiful holiday. A lot of special memories made. The parking was very good, covered and easy to use, self check in is favourable, the checking in and out time is reasonable and the communication was very good. The train is so useful and we actually enjoyed watching that go by, the walking is amazing, the beach is beautiful, the views from the window and patio are amazing. The sofas and bed are very comfortable which is rare. Thank you so much.

Lovely spot just a walk from the beach. The outdoor balcony space was welcomed when the sun was shining after a long day walking. We had everything we needed! Rachel was great with recommendations and quick to respond if we had any questions or needed anything

From start to finish our stay was absolutely amazing. The view is every bit as good as the pictures. We were there in June and the sun didn’t set until 9.30pm, drinks on the patio were a nightly thing while we watched the tide come in as the sun went down. The apartment is pretty much at the top of a reasonably steep hill, but even with my knee problems I managed to go up 2 or 3 times a day. As you walk up the hill past the Seiners Arms (great pub, good food with beautiful patio). you can see Perranporth Beach in its entirety. Absolutely stunning. The town has everything you need like a Co-Op, Launderette, pubs, restaurant, beach / surf wear shops. Things do shut down earlier than we expected (around 9pm) but it was June so not peak season yet. The apartment is spacious, you come in through the back door into a large kitchen with all the appliances etc that you’d need. 2 bedrooms, a large lounge with TV. I thoroughly recommend this place. Hannah was an exceptional host too.

We had a wonderful weeks stay for our honeymoon in this lovely and peaceful place that felt just like being at home. Cara was fantastic and really helpful and communicative - completely understanding and accommodating when we found out we’d be bringing our newborn along with us too! Location is beautiful and just as described with lots of lovely places to visit whilst staying. Just the perfect stay. Thank you!

We had a lovely week in Emily & Matt's flat. We liked that you can walk into town but also to Fistral beach & quieter areas. Great views - I enjoyed relaxing, reading in the bay window. I treated myself to swim & breakfast at Headland hotel (special offer).

Lovely clean and welcoming apartment in a peaceful place. Only a short walk to the beach. Great hosts, good communication and top quality facilities. Nice restaurants nearby and great walks too. Really enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend and hope to return.

My daughter and I stayed for a few days and the apartment was perfect. Great location, very close to shops, restaurants and the beach. Apartment was clean, tidy and looked exactly like the photos. View was beautiful! Has everything you would need. Paul was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions I had. We had an amazing few days in St Ives and will definitely be staying at the apartment again in the future.

A beautiful, well appointed flat. Everything was clean and tidy and lovely to have a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits (especially after a long drive). The flat is about 30min walk/10min cycle to Rock beach, pubs, restaurants and shops. We were able to store our bikes in a locked shed. It was great to put our bikes on the ferry to Padstow and then cycle the Camel trail. We also cycled to Polzeath beach which was lovely but hilly! Stephen let us use his EV charger for our hybrid and we paid for the time we used. We had a great time and would love to visit again.

We were lucky enough to spend seven days in Beth's beautiful apartment. Now we say goodbye with a smile and a tear in our eye. The tear in our eye says "time to say goodbye," even though we don't want to leave just yet. The smile in our eye expresses our enthusiasm for our stay. We received a warm welcome; we lacked nothing. Beth has thought of everything. The apartment is a dream. And so is the view from the terrace. You could spend hours there, unwinding and watching the hustle and bustle on the beach. If you don't know Perranporth, you should definitely visit this little town. But even if you want to come back again, you should let this accommodation convince you. We had a lovely one night stay here. The kitchen was well stocked with tea/coffee and the doughnuts were a delicious extra! The bed is super comfy with soft bedding which makes for the perfect spot to watch tv! Jon was also quick to reply and extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here!

This is a fabulous and comfortable apartment from which to explore Newquay and Cornwall. With water views, a great open plan living, dining and kitchen space and a generous bedroom, it had everything we needed for a 7 night stay. The hosts were welcoming and generous. This is one of the best bnbs we have stayed in.
