This light and airy cottage is within walking distance to all the town facilities. It's a comfortable place for the whole family. You'll love the walks you can take after dinner and the rumpus room is the perfect place to sit by the Pot Belly Fire and watch a movie. If you're into mountain bikes, Melrose is one of the best attractions in South Australia. If you don't have a bike, you can hire them in town. We really enjoyed our overnight stay at Renae's Ruby Cottage....only sorry it wasn't longer. We appreciated the handwritten welcome note from Renae and Paul and the complimentary dried fruit that they had put out for us to enjoy. The story of how Ruby Cottage came into being and the photo albums detailing what the property and family have been through gave a very personal perspective to the farmstay. The Cottage was very homely and had everything we needed. It was great to be able to purchase some of the produce from the orchard, which we've subsequently enjoyed during our onward travel. And we loved waking up to a crisp sunrise with lots of early morning birdcalls across the property. We'd definitely stay again.

great amenities and apartment was super comfortable and prestine. loved the space and how its all set up. possible the only thing I struggled with was the bathroom mirrors as I am on the smaller side and they were more fit for someone over 175cm tall. but nonetheless it was an amazing apartment. super clean, loved it.

Bunk on brewery was the perfect location for our friends catch up in Melrose. We had the kids and it was an easy bike ride or walk to the brewery & the main street for the cafe and bike tracks. Super quiet location. Amazing view of mount remarkable. A great weekend even in the rain 🙌🏼

The cottage was in a delightful setting and inside was cosy & charming. Loved the rustic garden. The owners have made sure everything is there that guests need & everything works as it should unlike some b & b ‘s we have stayed in. Breakfast supplies were excellent. Lovely character filled, private outdoor alfresco area. Great to have carport for car at the front door. The bathroom is spacious with great shower. There is a small step from bedroom to bathroom & small step over in to shower. Tastic heater in bathroom very effective. The host was very friendly, helpful & informative. We had a meal delivered from Fantastic Fresh - Vietnamese food in High street which was delicious with friendly service. We loved Port Germein for our 2 night stay. Thanks Tony & Marie - Claire for sharing your lovely little haven.
