House holiday rentals in Sámara

We booked this casita last minute at the end of our trip and it was so much more than we were expecting. The space is beautiful, clean, spacious. We didn't get to use the pool because of rain, but the pool area and view were stunning! We spent a lot of time bird(and monkey) watching and taking in the view in the mornings. Hiking trails around were really nice too! Krista and Guido were soo helpful, generous, and kind! We wished we had more time at Sal Vida to enjoy the area more and if in the area again - will definitely be booking here again!

Casa Morpho exceeded our expectations. With a spacious kitchen and great room overlooking the back patio, pool, and backyard, as well as three comfortable bedrooms with air conditioning, the accommodations were excellent for our five-night stay in Samara. (A fourth bedroom / office adjoins the great room and does not currently have air conditioning or window blinds.) Seeing and hearing howler monkeys was awesome; they enjoyed visiting the mango tree on a couple of occasions during our stay. When we requested that a couple of light bulbs be replaced, the hosts quickly responded and took care of the issue. Our only minor gripe was that water pressure was low in the shower in the upstairs bathroom. Also, listen to the hosts when they say you should have an all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicle to get up the steep driveway! Our vehicle did not have four-wheel drive and we had to park at the top of the driveway. All in all, it was a great stay, and we would stay at Casa Morpho again.

We had the most incredible time at this gorgeous spot. Daniella was wonderful to deal with, so easy to get a hold of, attentive and great to chat with. Always had excellent suggestions and recommendations, she made our stay feel so easy and she was so accommodating. The house is very well thought out, spacious beyond what the photos show and the most amazing backyard filled with howler monkeys throughout the trees that greet you in the mornings and afternoons. Had absolutely everything you could think of needing for a relaxing adults trip. A 5 minute drive to the beach town of Samara, which was wonderful to adventure around, so many great beach bars and open market style restaurants with fantastic food! Heritage Bar was a favourite with some of the best burgers and Indian food I’ve ever had! Only 10 minutes to playa carillo. I wish we had booked this spot for longer!

Our best stay in Costa Rica and we wish we could stay longer! Federica and Roberto have created a great space to relax on in such an exciting town. The yoga is good for all levels and is every morning. It’s a close walk to the beach and right next to plenty of restaurants all while being nicely secluded. The pools is very refreshing and private with only 4 total units on the property. Can’t wait to go back

We felt very comfortable in the beautiful casita of cally and scott. On the terrace with the pool opposite the rainforest and yet central in Samara and not far from the beach, you could relax wonderfully. And listen to the howler monkeys and birds. Even a hummingbird came to the property. Cally and Scott were super accessible. Your explanations regarding the locks, etc. were simple and good. Overall, we found a few too many rules for our taste, but that also made everything clear. The decor of the house is tasteful, which we loved.

Federico’s homes are a beautiful jungle like retreat in beautiful Nosara. He delivers a best in class Airbnb experience. We can’t wait for visit again.

This place was amazing, the pool is the perfect temperature, the house is stunning surrounded by nature. Secure and safe when locking up for the night, you need 4x4 getting up the hill but it was a the perfect mini staycation

We have spent a lot of time in Samara (6 months total) and this was the 4th place we have stayed there… it was absolutely perfect for our family of 4! Pictures/ descriptions were totally accurate and Casa Lily is a great value for the cost!! Caretakers were completely responsive and available if needed for questions or anything!! We will be back to Samara soon and we will definitely be staying there again!! Highly recommend!

2 adults and 3 kids, we were comfortable in the well laid out treehouse. Beach towels were provided and the outdoor shower for rinsing off sand were nice touches. Very friendly host. Location was ideal - few minute walk to the beach and center of town but out of range from music at various outdoor bars and restaurants. Was hard to leave such a beautiful place!

If you are looking for secluded, peaceful, serenity, with clean air, and private breathtaking views—- this is it. However- the reviews do not accurately describe the experience of finding this place- 4x4 is an understated recommendation, it’s also a VERY good idea to arrive before dark. The roads are not marked, google maps will take you the shortest route which you will regret - but it’s 100 percent worth it! The hosts are amazing and kind and were truly sad to see us go. The food is fresh and homemade. Excellent experience

We had a lovely stay at Atras del Sol. The whole place was beautiful, so many hummingbirds and beautiful greenery, and it was the perfect spot to spend the hot afternoons by the pool and we felt right at home. Walkable to restaurants, super's and the beach, but if you're not up for walking there . Very friendly community. Ed was quick and friendly to communicate with.

The location is excellent, it’s right in Samara Center. You can walk to the beach in about 2 minutes. Only thing to note is it’s not exactly a house, it’s a hotel. It’s three separate rooms, the one in the center has the kitchen and living room. If your a big group with couples, it’s great. All in all the place is clean, in a great location, and very friendly staff.

My wife and I had an amazing stay at this home. Super clean and quick responses when I had questions. The howler monkey family that would sometimes visit were an added bonus. Would highly recommended this home.

This beach cottage experience in Samara was one of the best we've ever had. The cottage is located about 350 ft from the beach and a 5 minute walk from town. You can hear the waves at high tide. Yard is mostly private, secure, and quiet with a grove of mango trees which bring the wildlife to your doorstep. We saw wild horses daily, iguanas, and howler monkeys. Short walk into town along the beach was so convenient and fun. Hotel Bahia nearby is great for drinks and dining. The home itself seems consistent with other beach properties in area in terms of construction and functionality, ie not luxurious but mostly functional and fine for anyone who jives with simple living. The only minor inconvenience is the lack of adequate refrigeration as the refrigerator couldn't hold temperature (host said this was a new problem and should be addressed soon). Electricity/plumbing fine and my small children (ages 2 and 6) appreciated the air conditioned bedroom and loved the wildlife and beach.

We enjoyed our stay at Skawak Sanctuary in Nosara. It was very peaceful sitting on the porch hearing all the sounds of nature including the ocean. We waited anxiously to see the monkeys who didn’t come over by us until the last day but we saw the whole troop of 15+. We enjoyed walking Playa Guiones and there were many great places to eat. We very much appreciated the tea kettle, coffee and a French press. Sunrise coffee shop was a personal favorite with amazing bowls. We did yoga at the Bodhi Tree 5 minutes away almost everyday. We are big yogis and the selection of classes and quality of teachers was amazing The place was hard for us to find when we arrived in the dark in pouring rain, but we made it with the directions provided. As noted in other reviews there is no laundry onsite and the bed was a bit too hard for my wife although fine for me. We came during the rainy season and the rain on the metal roof at night became quite loud all part of the jungle experience.

Chelsea was super easy to communicate with and she had wonderful suggestions/ responses to my many questions. The house is magical! Felt like we were in a castle! The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and the towels and bed linens were soft and fluffy. We had howler monkeys around every morning and some friendly neighborhood dogs stopped by for attention. All in all it was an amazing stay at Chelsea's place!

What a beautiful spot! We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our Costa Rica trip and what a beautiful way to end it. The house is great. The AC in the rooms cooled it off nicely and the pool was perfect. We loved how accessible everything was from this place including the beach and restaurants. Samara is a beautiful little laid back town and this place fits right in. The host was so sweet and very responsive with any questions we had. Easy 5 star and would recommend CasaBea’s to everyone! This is literally staying ON the beach in a casual, tranquil, local Tico neighborhood. If you love the beach and can imagine the convenience of having your house along with you as you enjoy the beach, then you’re likely to love this stay. You know what the tide is doing because you hear it and see it from the house 24/7. The peaceful sounds of the surf, rain and wildlife were our favorite part! Thanks!

Very nice place with everything we needed! The backyard/pool area was awesome. The road in front was a bit rough but on our second to last day, crews were working on it. Highly recommend the pizza place nearby and the French bakery on the way into town. Downtown Samara and beach are about a half mile away. There was a planned power outage one of the days we were there and Juliane was awesome at keeping us in the know!

My family of 5 loved everything about our stay at Villa Mar. The property is beautiful, the location perfect and the Villa itself was above our expectations with its comfort and amenities. The hospitality and communication from the host was fantastic and we appreciated the guidebook with so many recommendations on how to explore Samara and the surrounding beaches. This is the real pura vida of Costa Rica. I hope we can make it back to this special place.

We had a great time, everything was perfect.We loved the pool and the casita was perfect for my 25 years old daughter. The view was incredible. There was construction near by but it wasn’t loud. It didn’t affect our vacation. I loved the kitchen, it was really well equipped! We highly recommend La Caza de Paz and we would come back for sure!

There were five of us staying at German and Francisco's house for a week and we had a great time. The beach is right in front of the garden! We did a dolphin tour there and ended up in the middle of a dolphin swarm! German and Francisco were very helpful and responded to us within a very short time with questions.
