The headboard and the side tables were made from the old port wine barrels, therefore, when you enter the room, you still can sense the magic of the spices that only an old port has! It's very special! There are 2 complete bathrooms in the house that are shared.
“Amazing. Absolutely Amazing! My girlfriend and I stayed with Elisabete as a last-minute booking and this was my first experience booking a private room instead of a private home. We were travelling around Portugal from Lisbon to the Douro Valley to Porto and booked an AirBnB every stop of the way... this place was BY FAR THE BEST!!! Elisabete is so kind and shared so many of her local favorite spots in the little town of Regua. Even going so far as to calling in the reservations and dropping us off in her car to make things easier on us since we would be drinking a lot of the good local wine. You couldn't ask for a better location with great views but even then she gave us great miradouros to visit around the area. Major bonus was the beautiful breakfast, coffee, and tea she puts out each morning! When we come back to Portugal, this will most certainly be the first place we revisit.”

“A great place to stay while visiting the Douro Valley. The husband and wife owners were most gracious and accommodating, and were extra patient and kind in communicating with us, despite our barebones Portuguese language skills. The panoramic valley views, the modern, yet cozy rooms, the atmosphere of an authentic working Quinta, not to mention the amazing home-cooked meal we enjoyed, made our all-too brief stay a very memorable one. HIGHLY recommended.”
“This spacious apartment provided a great base from which to explore the Douro valley. The daily delivery of fresh bread buns was greatly appreciated and Catarina always responded to email questions in a quick and efficient manner. The fireplace - and plentiful wood - was wonderful during the colder evenings. One thing to bear in mind is that the house is on a cobbled street and up a flight of 20 steps - definitely not for wheelchairs and difficult for the infirm. The inside is big and bright and a good place to stay. The big problem, however, is the parking. Access to the garage is located on a blind bend on a steep hill so it’s best to approach from up the street, driving down. There is a very high double curb that crunched our small hire car every time we went in or out. There is street parking up the hill a bit but you have to be lucky to find a space, especially after about 4pm. With that caveat, this is a lovely apartment and is conveniently located for access to all parts of the Douro.”
