Very cozy place to stay, quiet cul-de-sac neighborhood, walk to downtown Menlo Park, stroll across the bridge to Stanford Mall or Stanford hospital, bike to Palo Alto, or jog the dish at Stanford University. Separate entrance, attached bathroom, kitchenette, queen sized bed, desk and private patio. Dedicated off street parking close to studio front door. Nicely lite at night for a very safe feeling.
“Sherwood and Marcy’s ‘Castle BnB’ was amazing! The place was very clean and organized when we arrived. Everything was intuitive and easy to find the day we arrived. They also provided an endless number of thoughtful amenities in such as extra toiletries and drinks in the mini fridge which was deeply appreciated. The location was also incredible, within walking distance from downtown Menlo Park. They also had bicycles that we could use to explore the area. I highly recommend their Airbnb to anyone looking to visit the Bay Area! Thank you Sherwood and Marcy!”
Our guest house is located close to La Honda and Woodside in the North Santa Cruz Mountains. Located in the Redwood forest and looks down onto a beautiful creek from a lovely deck. There are many open space hiking and biking trails within a short drive, and the beach. 5 miles from Alice's Resturant. San Francisco and Santa Cruz are easily accessible. The house has vaulted ceilings and a full kitchen, and laundry.
“Lovely! Immaculate, just as pictured, the view from the sliders is amazing with the trees and creek. Lea was there to greet us and check in couldn't have been easier. We were there for the thunder and lightening show (kinda cool to watch the lightening through the skylight). The lightening, of course, brought concern about the fires, and Lea checked in on us. It was unseasonably warm so the small fan was very appreciated. Kitchen was great; made cooking a breeze. Bed was firm and comfortable. I would stay again...when cooler!”
Studio cottage located on 16 acres just 5 miles from some of the nicest beaches in NorCal. Wild roses and lavender greet you at the front door and a sunny patio off the back is perfect for morning coffee. At night you will be charmed to sleep by the songs of frogs and the occasional barn owl. From here it is a short drive to; hike in the redwoods, picnic on the beach, strolling in the town of Half Moon Bay or make the drive to SF, San Jose or Santa Cruz. There is no WiFi and we call it perfect!
“This has been a wonderful experience staying at Joanne’s. From the time she warmly greeted us to the farewell, it felt like we were staying with friends. The cottage is as described. Quaint with many personal touches. From the bottle of wine to the local pastries, we were delighted by our stay. Their home is located central to very beautiful and accessible coastline. There are ranches and farms nearby. The family dogs greeted our dog with friendliness and curiosity. The cottage sits on a horse ranch and is landscaped beautifully. It is very quiet there and we were able to catch up on some much needed rest. 15 minutes any direction gets you to a town with fantastic seafood and character. The cottage sits at the edge of the redwood forest. The beach cottage interior feels cozy. We highly recommend Joanne as a host. We felt fortunate to have had the opportunity to share their home.”
