Holiday rentals with a patio in Sanilac County

This is a great place to stay. It's close to everything in town, and the picture represents the property well. Mark was easy to reach and is local. I would use this property again.

The Hen House is the perfect place to host family or friends for a little getaway. When I arrived, the space was even better than the photos and very spacious. The location is right in downtown Lexington with lots to do, including restaurants with live music, the beach, coffee shops, bars, and cute shops selling local goods/crafts. There are a couple things that did bum me out, including a few outlets not working in the bathrooms, and the parkinglot not being cleared from snow— stairs VERY slippery— but those are not simple fixes for some airbnb hosts and I get it!! There was a shovel and ice salt supplied 👌🏻 Everything else was perfect and more than enough for what we were looking for.

This is the favorite AirBnB we've stayed at, extremely comfortable, thoughtfully and carefully organized, and very clean. That's why we've returned for a second time this year!

The apartment was in the absolute best location. We were able to walk to activities, groceries, events, and the lake. It is in a busy part of town, with traffic and pub activity, so it’s not a getaway itself, but the ad was clear about that and earplugs for sleeping solved it. It was worth it to be in such a convenient location! Mark was super responsive and answered any of our questions, was helpful, and serves (and roasts!) awesome coffee right downstairs!

The house was amazing! Had everything we needed and more, location was insanely perfect, beautiful views. I would 100% come back!

Michael’s place was absolutely incredible. The view of the lake from the living room alone made the whole trip feel special — it’s just stunning. I’ve been staying in Airbnbs for over 10 years now, and I can confidently say this place had the best bathrooms I’ve ever seen in any rental. Michael really went above and beyond with the entire setup. The kitchen was stocked with literally everything you could need — and then some. Blender, toaster, s’mores maker, wine/beer/water glasses, every size plate, pots, pans, aprons… you name it, it was there. It made cooking and hanging out feel really easy and fun. The raised porch gave us an even better view of the lake, and the LoveSac sofa was next-level comfortable. Oh — and yes, there’s a TV in the bathroom. That plus the amazing bathtubs made for some pretty relaxing evenings. The king-sized bed was also super comfortable.

This is a great location with lots of space packed into a small cabin. There is room for eight people to sleep at least, and the view out from the front porch is gorgeous - you have lake access and can watch the ships go by. There are some really affordable local restaurants in the area too, and you’re close to Lexington and even Port Huron if you want to go shopping. Loved it!

We booked this place for a summer cottage trip. What an amazing rental this is. Amazing view of the lake from the cottage and it is such a vibe to relax in. The rental was spotless clean when we arrived. Ample sheets, towels, toiletries were provided and Vicki communicated well throughout the trip. This place is even better than the pictures on the listing! Thank you for a great stay Vicki.

We stayed over Christmas for one week. It snowed heavily and the owner was kind enough to remove snow from the driveway before our arrival. Also, there were beautiful Christmas decorations and even a little lit tree which was very thoughtful. The house was nicely decorated even without the holiday decor. I felt I was staying in a home rather than a rental which was nice. We had all that we could need while we visited. There were even two types of coffee makers. BTW- there is a lovely coffee shop about 2 miles down the road in Port Sanilac. One of the best things about the house is the views. We loved watching the Lake from our bed in the morning. BTW- I felt the bed was comfortable. To the right of the house is a roadside pull-off/park which gave us more privacy. We fit two adults and one teen (Our 9-year-old stayed 1-2 and opted for grandmas the other nights) comfortably. Perfect size for a group of 4. We would recommend staying in this beautiful house. Andrew‘s place was exactly what we needed. His check-in process was easy to understand. He was gracious enough to give us his golf cart to use to drive around the small downtown area. I called him before check-in and asked them for some suggestions on some restaurants/local things to do, he was very insightful. The area is great where there are many water based and land based activities. Highly recommend this home, especially with the hot tub as an added amenity.

Jana’s place was perfect for a cozy girls getaway, it’s at the end of a short road where we could walk to the beach. Too bad the weather was cold, we talked about staying in and drinking wine with the fireplace on. We all had trouble figuring it out, but Jana immediately responded with updated instructions and was even ready to send her daughter out to help us within 1/2 hour. We went out in downtown Saturday night and there was so much to do. Great food, live music and so so so many friendly people. It was about a 8-10 minute drive to town so we quickly went back and did more shopping before leaving Lexington on Sunday. We LOVED Jana’s beach house and hope to stay there again.

Cute place with easy access to the water! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, full working kitchen, toasty in the winter, plenty of space.
