Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Santa Cruz Island

Great 1st floor apartment, very clean, great host and service. Air conditioner is only in bedroom but it works great for both rooms. Kitchen is good, I was able to cook the whole week. Location is relatively quiet, it's 2 blocks from the main street and the market, but you can't hear the cars. Close to the trail to Tortuga Bay. 10-15 minutes walk to the port. There are a two more apartments in the same building, sharing the yard. Carlos was great, he offered towels and bedsheets change often, took care of the garbage too.

Un lugar muy agradable equipado cerca de un parque para los niños nos agradó mucho la estancia ahí no tuve el gusto de conocer mucho a Ana pero me pareció una excelente anfitriona cosas a considerar el internet ya que en en si no es tan bueno y la TV se paraba x momentos pero es algo manejable ya que a la isla vas a disfrutar de sus lugares

I had a wonderful trip with this house. The host was really kind and tried her best to help us. The location was really convenient to get anywhere in Island.

Our family of 5 stayed here for 6 days and used this great little home as a base to explore the island by foot and by taxi. It was perfect. The lovely host ensured we had water and tended to anything needed. A great little place to stay, with a perfect balance of being a decent walk to town each day (incidental exercise, we love it!) and not being too far away from anything. Of course, you can also hail a cab for a couple of bucks if you don't feel like walking. The house had everything we needed. Great the hot water worked (we have accepted it either way due to being such a goo size and such good value - but it was great). It was big enough to use as a comfortable base to explore the island, and even has an outdoor patio area to watch the world go by and let the kids play. Perfect for couples or families wanting some space on a modest budget. Stop here, enjoy, and wander to the restaurants when you feel it to enjoy some humble, spacious, quality island time. Disfruten!

Super acceuil, hôte très agréable et prévenant. La maison est extrêmement propre, la literie très confortable et tout est présent pour permettre de passer un très bon séjour. Nous n’y avons séjourné qu'une seule nuit mais nous recommandons à tous de rester plus longtemps. La maison est à 5 min a pieds de la rue principale dans un environnement très calme.

¡Este Airbnb es realmente otra cosa! El alojamiento de Michaell es muy especial y perfecto para una escapada tranquila en la naturaleza. Pude apreciar unas vistas espectaculares, un cielo estrellado por la noche, y ver muchos animales incluyendo lechuzas! Además de la cabaña, que es muy acogedora, hay un terreno grande que lo rodea donde pude pasearme e incluso cosechar unos limones. Hay que tomar en cuenta que el alojamiento se encuentra lejos del población principal, así que tuve que hacer unas compras de comida previamente ya que no hay comercios cercanos. Pero esto no fue ningún problema ya que Michaell me lo comentó con tiempo y me aconsejó sobre donde podía hacerlo. El internet funciona perfecto, junto con todas las otras comodidades, así que pude gestionar todo mi viaje desde ahí mismo. Recomiendo mucho alojarse aquí, fue una estadía que no olvidaré, y que me permitió ver otro lado de las islas.

After a long week of diving, I decided to book a night away in the highlands. Harry was extremely accommodating of the last minute booking and the casita was completely ready upon my arrival. The house is beautiful and appears to be new, with a fresh cedar smell throughout from all the natural wood. Everything was perfectly clean and the bed was really comfortable. The shower took a little while to warm up, but I’ve found that to be pretty normal in Galapagos. Wifi was much better than I expected it to be. It’s definitely a small place, but perfect for a solo traveler or a couple, and I’m not sure how much indoor space you really need anyway with such a breathtaking exterior. Having coffee readily available to prepare in the morning was a huge plus, and it ended up being one of the best cups of coffee I’ve had during my last couple weeks in Galapagos.

Buen lugar para desconectar de todo. Un poco lejano para acceder a cualquier otro punto de la isla, siempre se necesita taxi. Excelente atención al cliente y buenas instalaciones. Mejorar las mallas de mosquiteros en la ventana del baño. Fuera de todo esto, la expertiz de nuestro anfitrión y sus contactos nos ayudaron a tener la mejor experiencia en la isla.

Took Maria’s advice to hire a taxi from the airport. Bring a lot of cash and small bills for the taxi. $1 per person. Or take the bus- 50 cents per person. The house itself is clean. There’s no AC so it was quite hot and humid in February. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The water pressure in the showers was good. You have to let it run a while to get hot water but once you do, it’s great. The beds were very comfortable. The pool was perfect in the hot afternoons. The yard has a zip line and treehouse. Bikes were provided but we didn’t use them. The house is less than 10 minutes from town by taxi. To get the taxi we walked a block on a dirt road to the main road and put our arm out. Even at 5:45am we were able to hail a cab within 5 minutes. The taxis are Toyota trucks! We really liked that we were out of the hustle and bustle of the town. The roosters are loud in the morning so if you’re not used to that, bring earplugs. Don’t leave food out or you’ll have ants.

Puerto Ayora puede resultar ruidoso a la noche al ser una ciudad pequeña pero bastante turistico. El alojamiento en Gecko House ha sido una excelente elección porque la casa se encuentra en un lugar mas tranquilo, a solo 15 minutos andando hasta el centro, y muy cercano al inicio del camino que lleva a Tortuga bay, una playa paraisiaca. Los anfitriones son una pareja de galapagueños que conocen perfectamente la isla y ofrecen servicio de taxi para llevar al rancho El Chato donde se pueden ver tortugas terrestres, tipicas de la isla Santa Cruz. Realmente satisfechos tambien con el confort de la casa y su terraza para relajarse despues de un dia de excursiones, muy recomendable!

Excelente alojamiento, la anfitriona estuvo siempre pendiente de los huéspedes, presta a ayudar. Excelente comunicación, toda la información referente al alojamiento, regulaciones del lugar, movilidad y cuidado fueron claras. Alojamiento y anfitriona totalmente recomendados.

Una muy bonita experiencia, el sr Wilson siempre estuvo pendiente de nosotras desde antes de llegar a Galápagos, nos dió muchas recomendaciones para poder aprovechar al máximo nuestro tiempo e incluso nos ayudó a conseguir una persona que nos hiciera el tour de parte alta y servicio de taxi. La casita es muy linda, muy limpia y acogedora, ubicada en un lugar muy tranquilo, a unos 20 min en taxi de Pto Ayora. Lo recomendamos muchisimo, quedamos muy agradecidas!😄
