Holiday rentals with a fireplace in São Francisco da Serra

Excellent stay! The house is very nice, even better than the photographs show. Pedro and his father, Mr. Manuel, are very friendly and attentive hosts. Mr. Manuel, who welcomed us and even left us a wonderful bread for breakfast the next morning. The house is in a very calm and very quiet place, fully equipped with everything we need. Comfortable beds. All windows have mosquito nets and shutters. extreme heat weekend was always fresh. During the day, the outdoor space by the pool with sun loungers, a hat and a pergola area for dining is perfect. In the morning and at night (with a citronella candle and some repellent) the floral pergola area in front of the house was all we needed to enjoy the weekend. It is 40 minutes from the beaches of Melides, Aberta Nova, Pego and Carvalhal, and 10 minutes from Alcácer do Sal where there is everything we need, restaurants and supermarkets.

We had a gorgeous stay here with our toddler. The house had everything we needed for traveling with a child and was complete with toys, beach going needs like towels, umbrellas, and beach toys, as well as a crib and high chair. We borrowed their bikes and explored town and loved visiting the gelato place that’s around the corner. At night, we listened to the frogs in the rice paddies behind the house and loved watching the bird life during the day. Getting to the beach was quick and easy and we spent two days there. We stayed for a week with our baby and had a wonderful time. It‘s a super peaceful, beautiful place - especially the surrounding grounds are magical. The house itself is simple but cozy and very charming, the terrace overlooking the property‘s nature is a wonderful place to hang out and chill, and we made good use of the BBQ and outside shower. At some point we had a power outage, but Ana dealt with it promptly and professionally. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a retreat in nature.

Absolutely gorgeous and very well equipped house with a lovely pool in a nice quarter not far from Comporta. Beautiful surroundings (trees/forest right behind the house) and close to the beach. Duarte was a communicative, responsive and helpful host - we really appreciated this as there's only so much you can research online. The location of Casa da Encosta is magical, the fact you can't park outside makes it all the more special with no immediate road noise. The small terraced garden which surrounds the house is totally charming, offering plenty of little places to separate yourself from others should you wish and read a book or enjoy the view. Fixtures and fittings are of a high standard and the renovation executed thoughtfully. The feeling of being inside a jewelled box comes to mind. Yet it feels like someone's home and you feel welcome in it. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a remarkable region of Portugal. Thank you.

It was one of the best stays I've had, we plan to return. We were a group of 8 couples and two children, we had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. Susana's house has everything you need, and we didn't even know we needed, for a spectacular stay. One of the details we valued a lot was the availability of glasses/wine glasses for the pool/outdoor area. The property was super clean and has shaded parking. The house has pool towels and the kitchen is fully equipped. Susana has prepared a list of recommendations for restaurants, beaches, chefs who come to the house... Spectacular attention, thank you! The one who received us was Mrs. Sónia, who is a sweetheart, to whom I thank very much for her sympathy and attention. We plan to return and I highly recommend Susana's house! The apartment is surrounded by nature, but not far from the beautiful village of Odiceixe. It is very tastefully decorated and we felt very comfortable there!

Thank you for the nice stay in Lisbon in a very nice apartment with comfortable master bed, great view from the balcony with wonderful view. Great kitchen, exciting furniture with history. In the windowless, small bathroom, it quickly becomes very stuffy, but still well equipped for the size.

Beautiful property, scenic views of the sea and sunset, fast wifi and Netflix. Sara was quick to respond to my questions and was very helpful. I recommend this place for those who love peaceful, quiet and relaxing surroundings.

Artur was an incredible host and we loved our stay at his beautiful home! He went above and beyond to provide recommendations, flexible check in and luggage storage options, and a thoughtful welcome gift for our group. Him and his family were proactive and responsive in communicating, which made our stay a breeze. The apartment is comfortable, clean, bright, large, and great for a group (especially with its beautiful patio). The location was convenient and walkable to many of the tourist sites, and accessible via metro and tram as well. I highly recommend Artur’s home for anyone hoping to explore Lisbon!

beautiful, spacious apartment in great location. added bonus of an outside terrace to relax after a busy day. very close to train station where hop on/off buses and tuk tuks will take you to all the sights. trains make it a little noisy, but worth it for the location. plenty cafes and restaurants around

My partner and I started at Ricky and Diana’s for four nights and we had a lovely stay. They were very responsive and always available to answer any questions and queries. Check in was smooth and well described. The area itself of the place was well located and in close proximity to a number of restaurants and bars, as well as popular attractions such as the National Pantheon and Feira de Ladra. Our hosts did let us know beforehand of the festivities that took place each night so of course whilst it was noisy, we appreciated the heads up. We also really appreciated the port left to us and a bottle of wine which was a really nice touch. Thank you Ricky & Diana!

Gorgeous villa with stunning views! We had a multigenerational family vacation here and everyone loved the place. All the rooms are larger that they look in photos. If you go in the spring, expect a mix of mostly stormy and some sunny days. In rainy days we focused on museums in Lisbon. Sunny days were stunning in the villa. So glad this beautiful home is preserved and enjoyed by many people!

We enjoyed our stay at Eduardo's place very much. The house was just as described in the AirBnb ad. The house is spacious for 10 persons, a well equipped kitchen. One can see that it is also used by the family wich we found very nice and personal, cosy. As it was so early in the season, the house was a bit humid after the winter, but there were radiators to take care of that. Not too far from the village Azetao but the surroundings were fantastic! The national park is so beautiful. The house was also very private and clean.

Very welcoming place, surrounded by nature, which provides a relaxing stay! From the reception to the room, everything was very organized and sanitized. Dinner was well served with the disposition of a fantastic team. We cannot fail to mention the employee Erika for the helpful service she provided throughout the stay. Without a doubt, an experience to be repeated, as we left the place with immense nostalgia.

We had such a wonderful time at Julia’s charming property. It’s the perfect antidote to boring hotels or bulk standard villas. The house has such character, with thick stone walls and beautiful antique furniture. The outdoor kitchen is perfect to prepare long leisurely lunches by the pool, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. If you want to unwind and relax almost immediately it’s the perfect hideaway from the modern world. Julia is a wonderful host; highly communicative and helpful, but very discreet and respectful of her guests’ privacy. Her docile, friendly dog, Liefje, is just gorgeous, but won’t bother you if you prefer that. We wanted to see her as much as possible! It was so hard to leave such a magical place.

We had a wonderful week-long stay at this beautiful house. The house is in the middle of a cork tree forest, quiet, green and relaxing. There was plenty for us to do at the house, with the pool, bikes and several spots to relax and for the kids to play indoors and out. The kitchen was large enough and well-equipped for our large group, and the BBQ space really well designed. The sleeping spaces were flexible, with several rooms that could be used as play rooms or bedrooms depending on the size of your group. The host was friendly, communicative and responsive, for instance a flickering light in one of the rooms (which wasn't a big inconvenience) was fixed almost instantly. Highly recommend this home, and look forward to returning in the future!

Maria’s house was perfect for our holiday. 15 mins into Grândola in one direction, 15 minutes to the beautiful beaches of the Atentejo coast in the other, surrounded by the forest of cork oaks and stone pines it was idyllic. Maria is a wonderful host, super-friendly and helpful. The house and pool offer an idyllic retreat!

We had a fantastic stay- a great house in a great location. Paula, the housekeeper, was super nice and helpful and the house had everything we wanted for our holiday (the outdoor kitchen area was particularly lovely). Easy access to some fantastic local restaurants and bars in town and a nice walk to the beach along the boardwalk. Comporta is great and would love to return again.

This house is something else, absolutely amazing. The Alentejo's regional decoration, the little details, the immaculate outside space, ping pong table, well maintained swimming pool and the fire pit, this place has it all. Hats off to the work that took to make this place so welcoming. Also a note to Edite's communication with us, helping us choosing the best route to get to the property, and suggesting local places to visit. She's been ace. The only downside is that we've only booked 2 days 😂. I'll definitely keep this one in my favourites 👌
