Holiday rentals with a fireplace in São Martinho

My partner and I stayed at Villa Limoeira with another couple. It was perfect for our group! Breathtaking views, a clean and comfortable home, and excellent local recommendations. Also, there’s a heated swimming pool where you can watch the sun set over the ocean, so that’s pretty awesome. Calheta is a quiet and picturesque area with easy access to many of the best hikes and nature on the island! Would recommend renting a car, but there is a great local restaurant within a 5 minute walk from the villa. Wish we could have stayed there forever. 10/10 would recommend!

One of my absolute favorite stays, the house is stunning!!

The house is in a fantastic location – just a 2-minute walk to a lovely bakery, restaurants, takeaways, and coffee shops. It’s a great size, spotlessly clean, and very well organised, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The shower was especially impressive, great water pressure and always hot! The swimming pool is a good size and the garden is beautifully maintained, making the outdoor area really pleasant to relax in. Mrs Rosario was incredibly welcoming and kind, and Nelson was very informative, making sure we had everything we needed prior to checking in and for the whole stay. I’ll definitely be booking this house again whenever I return, highly recommended!

Beautiful house. The driveway is easy to miss if you're not paying close attention the first time. Well equipped kitchen. Next to a walking trail by the sea. Well situated to drive to other attractions around the island. Fanal forest, P Moniz, Santana, PR16, were not far away.

This was a delightful place to stay. Very private and so many facilities for a small place. Beautiful views, swimming pool and honesty bar. A total hidden gem.

The house is beautiful, clean and spacious. We really felt at home there. Highly recommend the terrace for breakfasts or dinners. The house is in a quiet area, which we enjoyed.

The house was exactly as described — clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Everything was well prepared for our arrival, and the check-in process was smooth and easy. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and the whole place had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The location was perfect — quiet and peaceful, yet close to local shops, restaurants, and everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the outdoor space (great for morning coffee or relaxing in the evening). The host was extremely friendly and responsive, always ready to help or answer any questions. You can really tell they care about their guests and put a lot of thought into making the stay enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area

I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay! The view, pool, and outdoor areas made it feel like you were at your own private resort. We were also blown away by how spotless the entire home was and with the amount of kitchen supplies provided it was as though you were cooking from your own kitchen! While the location was about 15 minutes away from town, there were several local restaurants nearby that had really great food. We did a lot of driving around the island during our stay and found it to be a very central, yet private, location. Olga and Alexander were also amazing hosts. Always very communicative and helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a home during their trip to Madeira :)

Great location in the city center, in max 5 minutes everything is within walking distance. The kitchen and fridge were good in case you didn't want to eat out. Everything perfect !!!

We had a pleasant stay at Ivone and Garry's. The apartment has an amazing view of the sea and everything you need. We will definitely come back for a future stay in Madeira!

Quiet, comfortable Airbnb with everything we needed for our stay - located in the most surreal surroundings. Will struggle to find better in this part of Madeira. The terrace is an absolute gem - highly recommend

Really nice place in a great location. It was clean, had all the necessary amenities, and the hosts were super friendly and supportive throughout our stay. The only minor downsides were that it was a bit tricky to find at first, and the shower temperature fluctuated a bit. Nothing major though—overall, a very pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend!

The hosts were super responsive and amazingly offered us an earlier check-in time as their cleaning had finished earlier that day. The place was spotless and well stocked with everything you'd need to feel at home and having a dishwasher & washing/drying facilities made things feel so relaxed and the BBQ & hot tube was great to have for the evenings. The view was beautiful, and the house was a perfect size and location for a little romantic getaway. It isn't a long journey to get to areas like Funchal or Porto Monis, and there's a large number of PR walks nearby, too.

Wonderful stay in a nice location We had a very pleasant stay in this apartment. The location is excellent: by car you are in the center in about 7 to 8 minutes, but there are also plenty of shops, restaurants and basic amenities within walking distance. The apartment itself was very clean and well maintained. The photos on the advertisement correspond well with reality. All basic amenities were present, including a separate shower room, a bathroom and two toilets, which was very comfortable. A small improvement would be to add some practical things, such as a coat rack at the entrance or a shelf in the shower for toiletries. A big plus is the private parking. However, it is useful to take into account the size of your car, as the parking spaces are a bit on the tight side. Also be careful with waste, because we noticed that this can attract ants if it is not disposed of properly. All in all, a recommendation

lovely place with great views and proximity to funchal centre. private balcony with plenty space and access from both bedrooms and living area with some great late afternoon sun. whole place is air-conditioned and all the entrances and gates are key card operated so very secure

If you are going to stay in Madeira , this is one of the nicest places you can stay in. The setting of this home is beautiful, and is located in a very pretty town with some great choices of restaurants and bars. The terrace has a stunning view and the kitchen space has everything you need for cooking should you want to do that. Bed is really comfy after days of exploring. We managed to park in the car park in the town every day - feels a hire car is a great asset in Madeira. Alessio is extremely friendly and makes you feel right at home when you arrive.

A great place for 6 of us to stay for a few days. We fit with lots of space to spare. The house was clean and airconditioned. We rented a car but calling bolts/ubers to town was easy too. We had an amazing stay here!

We enjoyed our stay at one bedroom villa. Garden with herbs, pool, view and the house were spectacular. It is incredibly quiet and peaceful here, we would definitely come back. Check in and all communications with Fabrice Ana and Shelom were responsive and helpful, definitely recommend.

Great location for exploring Madeira. Very handy for the airport and going in to Funchal for dinner. Villa clean and well equipped with good pool area and fantastic views.

Mário's accommodation was exactly as described and fully matched the photos - in reality it was even more beautiful! The apartment is spacious, with two comfortable bedrooms and two modern, very clean bathrooms – ideal for two couples or a family. We were warmly welcomed on arrival with small delicious surprises, everything was perfectly prepared and sparkling clean. We were particularly impressed by the fantastic view that you can enjoy from the terrace and the living area - a real highlight! The furnishings leave nothing to be desired: a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a quiet location. We enjoyed every moment and would come back without hesitation. Very clear recommendation!

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful house in Madeira—far beyond my expectations! The view was absolutely breathtaking, even better than the pictures. The house itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and felt very homely. Check-in was seamless, and the hosts were incredibly responsive both before and during my stay. The location is perfect—close to the airport and offering a stunning view over the city. I highly recommend this place and would love to come back!

The Chateau was exactly as described on AirBnb. With top end appliances, Miele and SMEG and more. The gardens were lush, extensive and private with much birdsong. It’s a 5 Star from us both and we highly recommended it especially for hiking. We did many long walks from home. Richard and Martine were perfect host, very attentive and helpful.
