Poppy's Place

Inspired by a swatch of wallpaper found in the attic, 'Poppy's Place' is decorated to bring you back in time to the 1930's. Bright, bold and cheerful colors were introduced into homes at that time to help keep people inspired during the dust bowl of the Great Depression. The 1930’s was the decade that fell directly in between WWI and WWII and Poppy Flowers were, and still are, a symbol of hope and remembrance for fallen soldiers. Office offers a day bed.

Sunrise Cabin is the showstopper of our three Southwind Lake Cabins, with a huge screened porch featuring a gas fire pit, grill, and unobstructed views of Bourbon State Lake, plus a second fire pit and raised garden beds out back. Two bedrooms each open to their own private porch, and with zero light pollution, the night sky here is part of the stay. Fishing is available at the lake.
