My sunny, comfortable guest apartment is located on the 2nd floor of a Victorian house in the Cady Hill Historic District, one of the oldest neighborhoods in North Adams. It has a private entrance. Off-street parking is available for one vehicle. Free, wifi/wireless access is included. The apartment is quiet and modern. There is a small sitting room off of the entry hall that that is perfect for two. The full kitchen has new appliances (range/oven; refrigerator; microwave), a tea kettle and coffee maker, a table and chairs, and cupboards stocked with essentials for light cooking (dishes, flatware, etc.). The bedroom has a queen bed, a bookcase and easy chair. There is a full bath with a tub and shower next to the bedroom. I provide sheets, blankets, bath towels and kitchen towels. The house is close to MASS MoCA (ten minute walk), MCLA (five minute walk), and just a few blocks away from downtown coffee shops and restaurants. Natural Bridge State Park and Windsor Lake are a five minute drive away. Williams College, Clark Art Institute, WCMA and the Williamstown Theatre Festival are accessible by car (fifteen minutes).
“We had a really wonderful stay at Diane’s. The apartment is a lot larger than it looks in photos, plenty of space for 2 people! Everything was very clean, communication was easy and prompt, and the apartment was conveniently located. Diane was a lovely host that left us some guides for hiking in the area and some local tips on where to eat. I would definitely stay here again! Diana was very thoughtful and left us hand sanitizer, face masks, and wipes for us to use, great touches during covid.”
Drift off to the sound a a babbling brook outside the bay window in this cozy country cottage. Take a hike in a protected forest right outside your door or head to downtown Williamstown and North Adams for amazing museums, theaters, dance, music, and restaurants.
“Great little guest house/ cottage. There’s fairly private hike right outside with beautiful views of the woods and footbridge from the cottage window. You can hear the stream running and overall it’s a very lovely place. Side note: I had the best Thai food I’ve had in my life (and I lived in NYC for 6 years) getting takeout from Blue Mango in town. We ordered the melon curry (melon meaning squash, super flavorful) and avocado curry (spicy), which were similar to red and green curry, respectively. I highly suggest eating there if you’re in town!”
A wonderful welcoming house in a beautiful residential neighborhood with no occupancy taxes! We are 15-25 minutes from Tanglewood, Kripalu, Mt Greylock, the Rockwell Museum, MassMoCA, skiing and hiking. Our home is centrally located to all of the fun things to do in the Berkshires. We've lived here for over 20 years and are happy to provide helpful insights for your stay. One of the reasons we love the Berkshires is that each season offers wonderfully unique experiences for any visitor.
“I stayed at Josie's place for 2 nights during our trip to the Berkshires. Pittsfield was a great homebase to explore nearby attractions and towns such as Stockbridge and Lenox. We dined at nearby restaurants such as District and Trattoria Rustica and both were great! Thoughtful touches could be found at the place such as welcoming banana bread, snacks, teas, and coffee and bottled water in the mini fridge. We also enjoyed relaxing time in the backyard and spotted a rabbit and mysterious red bird! Overall very relaxing stay and it was great value. We would definitely like to stay here again during our future Berkshire trips!”
