Cottage holiday rentals in Setubal

Maura is an excellent host and ambassador for the region. Nothing was too much trouble, even delivered breakfast to our room that evening, as we had to leave before breakfast was commenced in the dining room. The accommodation was exceptional and spacious..quiet and peaceful. Would be a nice getaway if we had longer!

It's been a wonderful vacation - the place is perfect for rest, and the photos don't do it justice. The property consists of four houses, one common (with pool, treadmill, etc.) and several lounging areas around the pool, clean and good size, as well as a pond full of fish. In the area there are several villages with supermarkets and good restaurants; Évora is 40 minutes away. It is a perfect place to get to know the Alentejo and spend the day for example in Lisbon or Évora. The owners, Mathieu and Martha, are absolutely lovely, attentive, polite and respectful. They have been attentive to our needs without being invasive. We are sure that we will repeat it, and we highly recommend it to everyone.

We had a super magic time in Eleonore’s and «Miguel’s eco-house in the middle of cork chains and eucalyptus trees. We felt immediatly at home. It is a peacefull and charming place where you listen to the sound of the birds and the wind in the trees, look the stars, feel the nature around. Leonor and Miguel are incredible hosts: very friendly and helpfull, ready to give you the best places to go to eat and go to the beaches. And we have ending our stay with a marvelous diner all together. We strongly recommand their place for a restfull, lovely and magic holiday !

A group of friends who gathered at José Pedro's house, we loved the whole experience. The exterior area of the house is exceptional, barbecue, swimming pool, living area in front of the pool, provided us with what we were looking for. My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay in Robs cottage. Rob was outstanding—his communication was prompt, clear, and genuinely thoughtful. He went above and beyond with local recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing, which really enhanced our trip. The home is older, as noted in the listing, so we knew what to expect. It has a lot of character and felt welcoming, especially since pets are allowed—a huge plus for us. There is small café just steps away, to enjoy an evening beverage with the locals. All in all, a comfortable stay with a fantastic host and great authentic Portuguese charm.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities you could need. There are a bunch of fun bars and restaurants to explore in the area. There’s public transport available nearby, but all the main attractions are also in walking distance. We felt comfortable and safe walking around at night as the streets are well lit and there are always people out. Karen and her co-hosts were very helpful and responsive. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay there again!

We stayed at Daniel's place for a little more than a week. It was a very restful experience for us in a beautiful rural setting. There are services like restaurants and grocery stores within a close distance at Montemor-o-Novo. It is easy to make meals at the house if you want, the kitchen is well equipped. The house is nicely renovated in a way that blends new and old. It feels very spacious even though it is a modest size. There is an outdoor eating area shaded by a trellis and a large tree that provides a great space for outdoor dining and relaxing. The house interior stays at a comfortable temperature even when it is quite warm outside. Daniel was very helpful with suggestions about things to do in the area and where to eat. We would definitely return again if possible.

We had the most unforgettable stay at this beautiful place. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by peace and breathtaking views in every direction. It truly felt like a hidden place, the kind of house that slows you down. The private pool was a dream. One of our favorite parts was the outdoor kitchen bbq, where we spent most evenings preparing simple homemade dinners and enjoying sundowner drinks while the sky lit up with color. Patricia was incredibly responsive and helpful, making sure everything was just right and offering great local tips…beaches, restaurants etc. This place is a great place for families looking to escape the rush of everyday life. Thank you for such a lovely experience, we already miss it and hope to return soon.

Typical Portuguese house with all the necessary amenities. Very nice terrace with a barbecue available. Possibility of parking 1 car inside the enclosure of the house. The neighborhood around the house is quiet because it is mainly residential. José was a particularly attentive host throughout our stay. Very responsive to all our requests, he was present every time we had a question. It was a real pleasure to meet José. We loved our stay in Sesimbra. There is no doubt that we will return to Sesimbra!

The house is fantastic, very spacious, with a nice garden, it has all the amenities, very quiet area and very comfortable being able to get the car inside. Paulo was very kind and attentive, there was an incident with the lock that he solved immediately. To repeat, no doubt

Perfectly restful and cozy place! Leonor is an incredible host, warm and responsive, yet we had totally privacy in the guest cottage. We would book again in a heartbeat.

Maria's villa was a tranquil paradise in the Alentejo countryside. Her hospitality was impeccable, always helpful and responsive. The house was fantastic and just like the photos. Aircon is a fantastic addition. Wifi signal is strong throughout most of the house and the pool was refreshing and good for young children and adults alike

Monte Sobralmar is a very beautiful place! It’s located a bit outside Melides and it’s the ideal spot for having a relaxing vacation. The pool area is great - but there are also beautiful beaches approximately 10 mins drive away - and the possibility to combine them both makes this place super. The house looks exactly as described and was very well cleaned when we arrived. Communication with the hosts was also good and efficient. We would definitely come back again :)
