By the sea and scrapyard of Seyðisfjörður we offer our newly renovated studio space with a great view over the fjord, but still just a 8 min walk to the town center. It offers a king size bed and a single lounge bed with a pure icelandic wool mattress in the living area for a third person if needed. It is simple, lovely and unique. Note that we live in the other part of the house so even though the studio is private with private entrance a family lives in the other part of it.
“Benedikta's place is a little dream tucked away on the ocean front - the views from the kitchen are magical, even if the weather is not great! The place is stylish and bed is very comfy (although it's quite high up with no access on the sides so might not work for everyone). With all the snow we didn't manage to make the most of the terrace but I suspect you can have some amazing evenings there in the summer. Great night's stay and the host is super helpful!”
You would love to stay longer at this place. Personal, arty, and you will feel at home.
“It’s easy to find the cottage, you just have to look for the prettiest one in the town :) We stayed in Dóra Kristín’s place for two weeks and we loved every minute. Check-in and communication with the host was easy, the apartment was clean and had everything we needed, and the surrounding area is beautiful. I recommend doing the Vestdalsfossar trail, it is easy and really nice, and it is very close to the cottage.”
Beautiful & bright studio apartment in the charming Old Hospital hostel in the centre of Seydisfjordur. Offers a private kitchenette and private bathroom with shower as well as all amenities of the hostel, Sauna, laundry facilities, service etc. One queen size bed and sleeping sofa for 1-2 people. Ideal for families and friends.
“The apartment in the hostel is an extremely comfortable and convenient place to stay in Seydisfjordur. We could only stay for 2 nights, but wish it could have been longer. The space is very clean and comfortable. The entire hostel is a shoes-off space, so the cleanliness isn't a surprise. Having our own kitchen was very helpful and access to the shared kitchen also came in handy. We did not get a chance to use the sauna, but it is a fantastic bonus that comes with this rental. Everyone working at the hostel was super nice, including the black and white cat that guards the front door. The hostel is close enough to the center of town to walk to the few restaurants, the river, the docks, the grocery store, and Blue Church. Very convenient. Every window has a view of the mountains as well. We would definitely consider staying again if we visit East Iceland again.”
