Apartment holiday rentals in Shaka's Rock

This was one of the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed at in Durban! The home is absolutely beautiful, stylish, spacious, and impeccably clean, with breathtaking views that made the stay even more special. You can really tell that care and attention to detail went into creating a welcoming space. A couple of small suggestions for improvement: the couch could use a deep clean or reupholstering, as it had a bit of a worn look and lacked that fresh, clean scent. The cushion inners were also quite flat, so replacing them would really bring the lounge area back to life. I stayed in the bedroom facing the passageway, and I’d recommend adding block-out curtains or blinds , the hallway light filters into the room at night, which made it difficult to sleep. That said, everything else was outstanding, and I’d absolutely stay here again. With just a few tweaks, this place would be perfection!

I have been in the event planning industry in the USA for over thirty years. I honestly could not think of a single negative to say about Jean and Brett’s rental home. Location, value for money, ocean views, amenities and location were perfect. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us. I would be back in a heartbeat! We just live a tad far away! Jean was hostess extraordinaire!

Super host also available for tips and tips on the area. Very spacious environment, you can feel and enjoy the sea and this is very nice. Comfortable parking and beautiful garden. The house smelled of humidity but the large spaces were truly appreciable in addition to the centrality of the location! We had a great time!!

The views and sounds of the Indian Ocean were spectacular. The master bedroom and a secondary bedroom both had sliding door access to the large balcony. We were close to shopping and restaurants on Ballito. We went on a couple of excursions but the meeting point was about 45 min to an hour away, depending on time and traffic. The meeting point was down at south beach, close to the magnificent soccer stadium. This unit is on the third floor; there is no elevator, just in case you have problem with stairs. The property attendants were helpful and friendly as they assisted me with getting my luggage up to the third floor. All in all it was a wonderful vacation and would definitely stay at Melanie’s place again.

What a clean and comfortable stay I had in this very special Cottage! It was immaculate, and was equipped with everything I would need for a comfortable stay. The decor was charming, and the ambiance…so very ‘good for the soul’. Marné was a perfect host with a real gift of conveying info in a timely, clear, and creative way. Beautiful, modern and spacious inside with amazing views. Direct access to the main beach and close walking distance to restaurants and supermarket. Loved our stay and will definitely be back.

The small touches around the place really stood out. Everything was well thought out and beautifully presented. A beautiful well decorated apartment within walking distance to main swimming beach in Ballito. Also close walking distance to shops so once you park you car you won’t need to drive it all weekend. The pool is amazing in the complex and all the photos don’t even do the apartment justice! A real little gem in Ballito

We had the pleasure of staying at Tennille’s Airbnb and it was incredible. Heather (host)is an absolute gem,so caring, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. The apartment was well-equipped and perfect for our nearly 3-week stay. The washing machine and dishwasher were especially useful. The master bedroom and bathroom were just the right size. One note: the garage is a very tight fit for medium to larger vehicles. My BMW X1 just made it, and I found reversing in worked better than driving straight in. The aircon came in handy on warmer days. But the highlight? The view and patio...OMG! We spent almost 80% of our time out there. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Heather truly went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommended! We'll be back for sure!

Stacey's place is airy and quite pleasant, with the wide-open view of the ocean! The kitchen was also particularly well equipped, both in terms of hard equipment and usable items (paper towels, coffee and washing soap). The braai stand was also special - allowed us to enjoy a good braai facing the ocean!

Worth every single cent. Beautiful unit. So much more then just a place to sleep. From beach chairs and umbrellas to swimming towels. We were extremely impressed with this unit. Yes lots or stairs I have MS and I am pregnant so was a little challenging but so so worth it. Amazing spot so well thought out. Definitely seeing us again.

Leslie's home was great. It was in a great location and Leslie was easy to get hold of when we had question. There were a couple of minor issues that were easily sorted out, like the location of the stove switch and the keys to one of the sliding doors. The only downside, had to do with the parking - there was something that dripped from the parking ceiling onto my windscreen and bonnet and I'm struggling to remove it.

The penthouse is beautiful and comfortable. Robyn is such an amazing host - she’s friendly, responsive and accommodating. We had such a lovely stay and will definitely visit again.

We had a lovely stay. The view is spectacular and having our breakfast and dinner on the veranda overlooking the sea and watching the sun rise and set was so special. The unit is very large and we comfortably stayed there with 4 adults and 2 children. The kids loved the pool!! And we walked straight onto the beach every day. We’ll definitely book this unit again. 😊

Yusuf’s apartment was in a great location close to everything. Short walk to beachfront, restaurants and was a well maintained place to stay. The security at the gate was friendly and welcoming, creating peace of mind.

We had a lovely stay over the festive season. Great location and all necessary amenities. The jacuzzi and outside area were a massive plus and lovely to be able to walk into the village and to the beach.
