From the second half of August to September, after the bustle of summer, you can enjoy the slightly calmer atmosphere of Shinshu. During the day, head to the mountains and highlands, and at night, enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. This is a private cottage where you can enjoy a sauna, BBQ, and the starry sky. It is recommended not only for those who want to spend a relaxing time in Azumino, but also as a base for sightseeing in Kamikochi and Hakuba, for stays of one night or more. Convenient access to Hakuba, Kamikochi, and Tateyama-Kurobe. We also accommodate group trips, family trips, and long-term stays. There is a washing machine and a dryer in the bathroom, so you can stay comfortably for multiple nights. You can get here by public transportation, but it is more convenient to have a car in this area. Free pick-up and drop-off are available from Shinano-Matsukawa Station and Akashina Station. Other pick-up and drop-off services and sightseeing pick-up and drop-off services are available for 2,000-8,000 yen (round-trip fare) depending on the distance, within a 2-hour one-way range. For groups of 5 or more, we can arrange a rental car, so please contact us in advance. There are only a few vacancies left in July and August. Yatsugatake at an altitude of 1150 m, it is a place where people who seek the nature and climate of the highlands live, rather than a tourist destination. Spring brings new greenery and buds, cool summers, colorful autumn leaves, and the warmth of a wood stove. There are also plenty of seasonal activities, such as skiing, hiking, river play, hot springs, and Hokuto City, which is surrounded by famous peaks, has many viewpoints where you can enjoy views of Mt. Yatsugatake, the Southern Alps, and Mt. Fuji. There is also an abundance of spring water. Please try to find them. The building was designed and constructed by the Tokei team, and the team operates it as an inn for many people to use. The distinctive architecture is a redesign of an old townhouse using modern construction methods and traditional materials. Located in the town next to Narai-juku, Nakasendo's post town, a historic town that has flourished as a region for lacquerware from the Edo period.It was built in 1931 in this town, which was designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings and still has many lacquerware shops. Our house is available for rent as an entire house, limited to one group per day, without meals.It takes a little while to get here, and there are no supermarkets or convenience stores in the area, but that's why I think this place has a quietness and a casual, simple beauty to everyday life.It would be nice if you could stay like living in this old town, such as reading, walking, local sake (sake, wine), and sleeping slowly. There are no screen doors in the old houses nestled between the mountains and valleys, so in the warmer seasons, wildlife may enter.The 95-year-old building is not polished to a high shine down to the last detail.We are preparing to welcome you as clean as possible, but we would appreciate it if you could come with a big heart. We use the accommodation fees we receive from you to repair the building. First, I would like to take care of this wonderful house for about 20 years so that it can be passed on to the next generation.

This is a small, renovated, 100-year-old earthen storehouse in a town in Ina Valley, Nagano Prefecture, where you can see the two Alps. The inn is run by a married couple who run a design office. It is a space where we designed it ourselves, created the parts we could with our own hands, and explored the possibilities of renovating the warehouse while cultivating the power to create our own lives. This is an old house built 221 years ago, located in the center of Tsumago-juku. The 20-tatami living room has a sunken hearth (currently unavailable) and you can enjoy the old Japanese private house. There are 3 bedrooms, so you can stay with a large number of people, such as family and friends. No meals are provided. You are welcome to use the full kitchen freely. There is a backyard at the end of the dirt floor that continues from the entrance, and you can walk around freely.
