Family-friendly holiday rentals in Sky Valley

The Mojave Moon could not have been a better find! This place was the PERFECT location for JTNP, a visit to Palm Springs, and a peaceful retreat. In our quick stay we were able to access it all! A lot of homes on Airbnb can look good in photos, but feel cheap when you arrive. Every single aspect of this home was thoughtfully crafted and well constructed. The hosts truly thought of every single aspect of a traveler’s experience. From welcome drinks and coffee to high quality linens, soaps, and even a hairdryer/curling iron/steamer onsite (nice ones too!!). Every single thoughtful touch was greatly appreciated and noted. My husband and I were delighted by the hospitality and the serene oasis and prime location this home provided! Not to mention the hosts guidebook was filled with stellar recommendations. If ever in the area again, we will absolutely be back!

Kai's home is beautiful and very comfortable. The backyard is incredible, with the pool, hot tub, and multiple seating options. I loved the fenced-in back yard for my two dogs, they had a great time roaming around, and I didn't have to worry about them wandering off. I was most appreciative of the peace and quiet I enjoyed for the whole week. Downtown activities are a short 10-15 minute drive, and the awesome Palm Springs Air Museum is also close-by and well worth a visit. Beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and up-to-date. All the appliances worked very well. I hope to return again soon.

Tim’s place is the perfect spot to relax, unplug and enjoy your company. The living room and kitchen are spacious and comfortable to be in. The game room is the perfect place to relax, enjoy drinks and play pool. Overall, a great place to get away and spend time with those you love.

This has to be one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed in. The house was beautifully designed, had everything you need to cook meals, and gorgeous scenery. I highly recommend staying here - the studio outside was an absolute highlight.

Mid-century beauty! Centrally located in a historic neighborhood with beautiful architecture and walkable streets. The location is ideal for hiking, shopping and fine dining. The home is exactly as pictured, beautifully decorated, a private & peaceful retreat. Reliable network and fast WiFi. Excellent host is responsive and accommodating. This is a home away from home and provides for the traveler’s every need

My friends and I had so much fun here it’s a beautiful property and I think it healed me haha it has everything you could want in a little get away :) would just say the only issue we had was one of the rooms doesn’t have black out curtains so bring sleep eye masks luckily I had one but we will definitely be back loved it !

Great house inside and out, a little hard to get to since we have a two wheel drive. Appliances could use an update, otherwise the interiors are beautiful and modern. Would love to stay again!

This is the 4th time we have stayed here. We love it!! There is a hill of boulders that leaves me breathless every time I look at it. To see this hill with the rare Big Horned Sheep, takes me over the top emotionally. We also love the landscaping with the natural desert in mind. The house is decorated to fit the desert and the most well equipped Airbnb we,’ve ever stayed at. We spent a lot of time out in the patio watching the Chuckwallas, Roadrunners, Quail and Big Horned Sheep. There’s a ton of birds also. When it got warm, we went in the pool. The temperature of the water was perfect. Super refreshing on a hot day.

Great place for our stay while in Desert Hot Springs/Palm Springs for a short vacation! Very clean and had everything we needed.

WOW!!! Book it. You won’t regret it. Words do this place justice. The view from Zeus was absolutely stunning! Diane and her staff went above and beyond our entire stay. I’ll just say it’s few and far between to find people who genuinely care - and they do!!! The property was serene and peaceful - soul refreshing. Make sure to bring closed toe shoes. Even if you typically don’t do nature walks or hikes, bring them bc it is so beautiful there - you’ll be dying go look around. Also, visit the community center before you head out - they’ve got hiking sticks you can use on your journey. We had plans to go to Newport Beach, Joshua tree, several other places - we ended up only leaving twice - mainly to go to the grocery store and back. We couldn’t talk ourselves into missing this stunning place for even a second more than we had to. From watching the sun come up over one mountain to watching it set across another - more than anything I miss the night sky. Absolutely incredible.

House was great, clean and easy to find everything. Pool was the perfect temperature. Host Jason was very responsive and helpful. Answered all questions in a timely manner. Definitely want to stay here again.

Coreys dome house is the best styled Airbnb I have rented- its gorgeous with tasteful and interesting art & curiosities. It feels more like staying in a cool friends' home than a rental home. We took great use of the hot tub and well equipped kitchen and the very convenient entrance to Joshua Tree Park.

This Airbnb was absolutely beautiful! Decor amazing! Lots to do for a family between pool, pool table, ping pong etc. Plentyof room for everyone. TV super easy to use. AC worked so well, we were very cool in the hot Palm Springs weather. The casita room…unreal gorgeous! We would recommend to anyone to stay here, well worth it and very well located to everything! We would go again no question :-) pool/hot tub was also amazing!

My sister and I were looking to relax around the pool for a few days to celebrate her birthday and we found exactly what we needed. The restaurants that we sampled from Billy & Jeff’s recommendations were fabulous . Everything we needed was at the house including pool floats. As a former zookeeper I absolutely loved the flamingo themed decor! The flamingo house’s convenient location allowed us to check Joshua Tree National Park off our bucket lists! The weather was perfect and we just really enjoyed being outside around the pool. Listening to the waterfalls was especially relaxing and the nighttime lights allowed us to spend time outside after dark. We would absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Palm Springs. Billy also gave us a great recommendation for lunch in nearby Idyllwild. I used to live in Mountain Center and appreciated the nostalgic trip through downtown past the old movie theater and the supermarket that I used to frequent!

We were looking for a nice peaceful, fun, and private pool weekend getaway and that’s exactly what Heike and George’s provided with their home. Highly recommended this place to anyone looking for a private pool experience! 10/10

We absolutely loved staying in this beautiful home. Quiet and serene and very close to downtown Palm Springs and all the other activities. Definitely loved working with Nana, and would rent with her again.

Absolutely stunning place. Can’t wait to stay there again. Beautiful, peaceful and has it all. Oh and the swimming pool is perfect. Bigger than in the photos.

Esther and Tuan were very detailed with communication and instructions for checking and checkout. They were fast to respond with anwsers and were easy to communicate with. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and very conveniently located . everything was exactly as described. Kitchen was spacious and had all the essentials if you needed to cook and grill. Bed and linens were so soft and comfortable and the whole house as well as the yard was very clean and tidy. The pool was relaxing to hang out in and there were plenty of pool floats to use along with a convenient pump. We felt very relaxed in the house and would definitely come back when we visit Palm Desert.

Let me just start by saying that this home and host deserves a 10 out of 10. What a wonderful experience my family and I had at Heliana's home. She went above and beyond to welcome us and we felt right at home. She greeted us with the most beautiful charcuterie board and champagne set up which we enjoyed after a long drive in traffic. The home itself is beautiful and very clean to be honest the photos don't do it justice. We had zero complaints and we had such a great time celebrating my father's birthday. Thank you Heliana for being such a lovely host we definitely will be back soon.

We absolutely loved this place so Homie and clean the pool was so much fun. My Kids enjoyed it very much. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. Honestly this has to be one of my favorite Airbnb’s in the La Quinta area. Definitely will stay here again thank you so much to our host they were so friendly and lovely! 🥰🙏💕

My girlfriend and I stayed at Tamara’s place and absolutely loved it. Everything was super clean, and the space was thoughtfully designed. Be sure to make time to enjoy the amenities—we especially loved the cowboy pool, the spa, and the beautiful outdoor area. You can tell that Tamara put a lot of care into the decoration and layout. Outside, we appreciated the shade provided by the plants and trees, which made the space feel peaceful and private. The pond was a beautiful touch, and we enjoyed watching birds stop by for a drink.The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to cook meals. There’s AC in both the master bedroom and the living room, which kept the house cool and comfortable. Our favorite spot was the sunroom, along with all the charming vintage details throughout the home. Tamara was a fantastic host—very accommodating and even let us check in early. We definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Joshua Tree!
