Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Skye

We enjoyed a delightful long weekend at Croft 41. The house was perfect for our needs (two families with kids), the location absolutely stunning, and the wood-fired hot tub was also real highlight! Rachel is a very friendly and communicative host. Would definitely return in the future if we were looking to stay in this beautiful corner of Skye.

I cannot recommend Sally’s AirBnB highly enough. The location is superb, so peaceful with views out to the harbour from the private garden and the private parking was a god send. The house is spacious and has everything you need and Portree is a great base for exploring Skye and the Highlands and Islands. We stayed for 2 weeks and it was worth every penny! Sally is a great host, easy to get a hold of and sorts things out quickly.

Our first trip to the Island of Skye and what a stunning place! The view from Rhundunan was spectacular and the accommodation was clean, beautifully furnished and equipped with everything we needed - including binoculars to view the local wildlife. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was crisp and clean. Juliet was so helpful and warned us before we arrived that the island relied heavily on Co-op supplies and due to their cyber breach we might need to visit a supermarket on our way through the mainland, rather than rely on supplies being available when we reached Skye. I was very grateful that she had alerted me because even the independent shops were being impacted at the time of our visit. Our time flew by and I really didn't want to leave. I would certainly love to go back again and would love to stay at Rhundunan again too. Thank you Juliet.

Beautiful setting! Just what we wanted for exploring and relaxing on Skye. Peaceful and quiet. Much to do nearby and epic scenery all around. No food stores except co-op in Portree, guests be sure to stock up in larger town before heading out. Farm fresh eggs available to buy from neighbors. Excellent Stein Inn Pub is close by and has exceptional food. Overall the location exceeded our expectations by far. We are hikers and truly enjoyed the trail to Waternish Lighthouse featuring local sheep, cows and a treat to view the selkies in the cove under the lighthouse. The property itself was lovely, clean and well-maintained inside and out. We highly recommend this property. Especially if your first time to Isle of Skye. Hosts made everything SO easy, too!

57 Degrees North is absolutely stunning! It is situated on the Isle of Skye perfectly. It’s a perfect distance from town to feel like you’re in the country but close enough to grab something from the store. The home was truly spotless and cozy. The views are worth every penny. Truly a special place to holiday. Instructions for the home were thorough and well thought out. The home had everything we needed for our trip.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property on the Isle of Skye. The property is not only visually appealing but also incredibly comfortable, making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The location is simply amazing. Nestled on the Isle of Skye, we had easy access to breathtaking landscapes, local attractions, and charming restaurants, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the unique beauty of the area. Property was clean. Hostess provided detailed information prior to our arrival that helped us check in. One of the bathrooms featured a bath instead of a shower. I would definitely visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at Nicholas’s studio. It’s an incredibly peaceful area and a great place to explore the rest of Skye from. Nicholas was also particularly kind and accommodating which we were so grateful for. Highly recommend a stay there.

Not just a place to stay, but a truly memorable experience. Staying at this beautiful home right over the water was a lovely experience. The owner’s thoughtful touches — fresh flowers, coffee, and cookies — made us feel welcome and comfortable. Upon arrival, we were impressed by the peaceful and scenic setting, even better than the photos suggested. Perhaps the best part was how personal and warm the entire stay felt, something every guest should have the chance to experience and will when the owner will add the coffee, flowers I appreciated the quiet atmosphere that made it easy to relax. During our stay, we found everything we needed close at hand.

Plockton is a fantastic little village surrounded by beauty. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Guillaume’s flat. Well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, and very clean. Highly recommend!

It’s a very nice place, extremely well cleaned and in great condition. The kitchen is well equipped and also very clean! Unfortunately there are pictures in the listing that don’t belong to the rented house. Thus some false expectations. The host responded quickly to our notice about easily finding please and selfchecking in, afterwards for questions concerning the house we didn’t receive any reply at all.

Great accommodation , very clean and homely . Location spot on for walking into town and the views spectacular. Instructions were very detailed and easy to use . Had a wonderful stay and would return at any time . Thanks

Great stay! We LOVED our stay at the Old Post Office. It was an extremely cozy space that we wish we could have stayed at forever. Thank you so much! I very highly recommend it to anyone!

We spent three nights in the apartment and had a very good time overall. The apartment is spacious and right next to the train station. The central location is perfect for hiking, taking the train to the Harry Potter Viaduct or walking to the small town center. You can see and hear the trains from the window in the living room. The kitchen is well equipped and you can cater for yourself.

Eilidh's space was so lovely and cozy, it had a beautiful view overlooking the port! It was quiet while also being extremely central. Just a street away from the main strip with a grocery store, restaurants and boutiques. The space had many amenities for a family, including everything you would need to cook meals at home. What made our stay extremely enjoyable is the fact that Eilidh was incredibly responsive, very kind and made sure we were comfortable by checking in with us. A perfect homebase to explore the Isle of Skye!

Well what can i say, its was absolutely perfect. We had just got off the ferry early and they were still preparing the accommodation from the previous guests and they let us put our luggage in 4 hours eary. When we came back we were pleasantly surprised at how clean it was. Everything in its place and a vase of flresh flowers which was a nice surprise. I would highly recommend this accommodation as it stands out from others ive been too.

We spent 3 comfortable nights at Rupert and Lin’s Station Master’s flat at the end of our North Coast 500 tour. The property has a real homely feeling and was very comfortable and warm. It was very interesting to read about the long and rewarding journey Rupert and Lin took to restore the property and make it what it is today. We did find the internet to be slow and unpredictable at times, (this is mentioned in the Airbnb description and information pack at the property). It did not overly concern us as we had a good 4G data signal and with such fantastic scenery on our doorstep, we didn’t have too much time for using our devices. Communication with Rupert and Lin was polite and friendly, with any queries answered in very good time. We would highly recommend Rupert and Lin’s unique property to anyone looking to stay in this part of the Highlands.

The place was very well put, clean and organized. The host made the villa very welcoming for us and sent us informative instructions for the villa. The villa is very beautiful and is a great location close to nearby market and restaurants. Would recommend to any group visiting portree.

I am a longtime Airbnb renter - all over the world and this could be my favorite. This house has a view that is too beautiful for words - and all you hear are birds and the breeze as you enjoy it. The house itself is spacious and gorgeous. Stylish yet homey with very comfortable furnishings. The kitchen is well designed and provisioned. You could feed an army with the number of dishes, etc. The gift basket of treats was delightful. Really a special spot.

This was such a great location to stay if you’re a fan of hiking, climbing Ben Nevis and in a large group. There was 12 of us and we all felt comfortable and the kitchen became the hub for great conversation and games. The outdoors was surprisingly well kitted out with lots to do and equipment was easily accessible. Well worth the money we paid and had such a wonderful time.

Absolutely wonderful stay! The place was exactly as described, very comfortable. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do, 20 mins to Fort William and 15 mins to Glencoe. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

The accommodation was spacious and well appointed. There was plenty of room to relax as well as cook and dine. The bedrooms were clean with plenty of towels. Good file in dining room that had useful information as well as restaurant recommendations. The only thing to say is you must follow Iain’s instructions to get to the property as the Satnav is not as accurate.

This was a wonderful place to stay. There were 6 of us, and it was the perfect size. We also used the kitchen to make multiple big meals with no problems— so many pots and pans and utensils! We had a cozy night by the fire (in a beautiful fireplace!) drinking whisky. Tobermory is a magical place and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It’s worth the price!!

We stayed with 8 people and we had an amazing time. Great house, lots of space, super cozy. All amenities there that you could think of. We would happily return. Not suitable without a car, in my opinion, but great for hiking and mountain biking. Close to Fort William and its supermarkets and pubs.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Fort William for four nights with six adults and two babies. The house was amazing—immaculately clean, beautifully kept, and had everything we could possibly need. It’s clear so much thought and care went into making our stay comfortable, right down to the lovely touches like toys and even little presents for the babies. The kitchen was well-stocked, and we were blown away by the amount of food that was left for us—such a generous and thoughtful gesture. The views from the house were stunning and made the stay even more special. Our hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to any questions we had. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we can’t recommend it enough. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!
