Newer cabin of 136 m2 located on the east side of Odalen's pearl, Storsjøen. Here you can enjoy your vacation with family or friends. It is a peaceful little cottage area with about 50 cottages. Short distance to the lake for swimming, fishing and other water activities. Storsjøen is shallow and has high bathing temperatures of about 22-26 degrees. The area has 2 beaches, a long beach that is suitable for toddlers and one with more depth for the slightly larger ones. There are also many hiking trails to explore and small fishing waters in Odalen.

The result is Tyven — an 80 sqm boutique cabin with a large window facing Mjøsa — Norway's largest lake — from the kitchen. Featured in National Geographic Traveler. For those who really want to experience the best Helgøya has to offer. Villa Leonore is a summer house built for tramway director Dybwad's wife Leonore in 1915. A nice garden leads down to a private beach by Mjøsa. Beautiful perennial bed and a separate kitchen garden to supply yourself with. You can relax on the porch with a good book, and make delicious local and organic food, with the farm's and the area's own products. There are great hiking opportunities on Helgøya, for walking, running and cycling.

There are plenty of hiking tracks in the forest, and we have two bikes for rent so you can explore the countryside roads. Storsjøen is a large lake great for fishing both in the summer and winter. In the summer, you can take the river down to the village of Skarnes, situated on Norway's longest river Glomma. We have a boat, a canoe and a kayak for rent.
