We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this stunning property. The views from the living room are truly breathtaking - it’s like a living postcard. The house is next to a horse farm, and the friendly horses added such a charming touch to our experience. The home itself is elegantly decorated with luxury furnishings and thoughtful attention to detail. Everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay is provided, including a fully equipped kitchen and modern amenities. The spacious veranda, fireplace, and overall layout made the place feel both cozy and indulgent. Set on private land with a private entrance, the house offers complete privacy while being just a short walk from the beach. We loved being surrounded by nature, vivid birdlife, and the peaceful sound of the ocean. It’s also a perfect base to explore the Snæfellsnes peninsula, with many attractions close by. A truly special home in an incredible setting!!

This was an amazing find in a small town. We used this location as a starting point to explore the Snaesfellsness peninsula . The host recommended an incredible restaurant - Bjargarsteinn Mathus. This was the best food we have ever had and an incredible yet reasonable fine dining experience. Gunnar greeted us upon arrival and was super amenable to anything we needed. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Very close and central - restaurant right across the street, EV charging as well and a grocery store two blocks away. Very soft linens, we would have preferred thicker pillows but that is personal preference. Would def stay again.

Laxfoss is extraordinary. Perched over a waterfall, looking down into the river and into the distance where snow capped mountains rise into the sky you are immersed in nature. This was our second visit this year so we obviously love it. It is accurately described in the listing and the house is well equipped. The owners are delightful. We look forward to coming back.

Ingibjörg’s cottage was in a great location with a beautiful outlook. The cottage was spotlessly clean, the cleanest we had encountered on our trip so far (8th place we had stayed). A perfect place for a couple to just relax & enjoy the incredible view.
