Casa Gómez was built by our maternal grandfather and bears his surname as part of our tribute. He not only built this apartment but also many other houses on the street and for years and years was known as Seu Manoel, the Spanish builder. The view of the native forest of Parque das Águas is always a welcome landscape in our kitchen window and the toucans are frequent visitors in the vicinity.
