This is our second time staying at Casa Gisela, we love this home and neighborhood so much.

We had an amazing time at this property! The house was incredible. The views were absolutely breathtaking and made every morning feel special. One of the most memorable moments was when a toucan came to visit us right on the property. We were lucky enough to snap some photos. Hopefully I can upload them here somehow. Everything about the stay exceeded our expectations. Ana was very responsive and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. if you are looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommended and would love to come back.

We absolutely loved Bob's place! We stayed for 2 nights: 2 kids and 2 adults. The place is big, comfortable and beautiful jungle views and surroundings. What stood out the most is how attentive Bob was and went above and beyond to make sure we felt right at home. He responded quickly to anything we asked and was super helpful not only at Casita but also when we had random questions about Costa Rica culture or recommendations around town. There is a ton of nature to observe from the clean and well appointed Casita. Bob took us on a personal night walk through the property to spot frogs and other nocturnal creatures. The kids had a blast in the pool. Thanks Bob!

If I could rate it higher, I would. First off the host is super nice and responsive! Greeted us outside late at night when we checked in to make sure we were comfortable. It is a very private, peaceful, and welcoming place to stay. This is my first time booking an Air BnB in Costa Rica, and I can say this stay is beyond what I could imagine. Aside from some bugs here and there, the house is beautiful, the perfect little place to stay for a little get away. Now going back to how amazing the host is. They were so accommodating and sweet about making sure we had no problems. She also kindly offered a very appreciative helping hand when we really needed help. This type of community and support is something that I have never experienced back in the U.S. I wish the host and this community so much love! Pura Vida!

Beautiful place - you can see part of owners house close by on hill & another 2 bldg on property that were empty. - so still very private. Pool big & refreshing. Within 15-20 min of la Fortuna & its restaurants & excursions. Would stay again!!

We had a wonderful stay at Erick’s place on our trip to La Fortuna. The house was beautiful and fully equipped with everything you needed. We will definitely be back if we’re in the area again.

This spot was a little bit difficult to find, but don’t let that discourage you. The home was beautiful. The rooms are located outside. It is very close to downtown area. Definitely recommend this.

I am glad to have found this gem of a place in La Fortuna. The house is very close to city center and all activities in La Fortuna. Lots of great restaurants near by. The house is very well maintained with all the required amenities. The pool surrounded by lush greenery was welcoming after a long day of hiking. Laura is very responsive and the check in / checkout process is a breeze. I recommended this place for anyone visiting La Fortuna.

We had a great stay at Tria’s place! Check-in was easy and flexible. The house had everything we needed for our time in La Fortuna and it was in close proximity to downtown. The pool was an added bonus to relax and cool off during a short break between activities. Would definitely recommend for your stay in La Fortuna!

It is a place of great peace, silence, contact with nature and warmth of the house. This is the 2nd time we've stayed at the place. Always impeccable and always attentive to answering our questions.

We had an incredible stay in La Fortuna with our family, including our 3-year-old and 1-year-old. The home is perfectly situated right at the base of the volcano, offering unobstructed, stunning views—we could see Arenal from the living room and even while relaxing outside. The host was extremely thoughtful, leaving cold beers and champagne in the fridge for us, which was such a warm welcome after a long drive. Communication was excellent, and the concierge-style service made it easy to plan activities that worked for both adults and young kids. The space felt peaceful, safe, and well-equipped for a family. We’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area—especially families looking for comfort, scenery, and great hospitality.

Beautiful place, very clean and well kept, safe area, and responsive host. Google maps took us down the street to a different house but it was still on the right road so fairly easy to find based off accurate pictures on air bnb website

We loved our stay at Apple House! The location was perfect, about 10 minutes drive from town. Having the private pool and hot tub outdoor area was lovely after daily excursions. We always felt very safe and all of the amenities were great. Highly recommend!

Alonso and everyone was so kind, helpful and friendly. Perfect location for us. The house has what we needed to cook our own meals or we could walk to restaurants across the main street. Easy walk. Lots of birds on property. The house was perfect but the host made it feel top notch. Book this home!

We had a fantastic stay at Curt’s place! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely amazing—delicious, hearty, and filling every single time. Curt was a wonderful host who took the time to give us a tour of his beautiful property and shared so much knowledge about the local area. His recommendations for restaurants and tourist spots were all spot-on and really enhanced our trip. One of the highlights was the incredible wildlife we got to see—everything from critters to a sloth! It was truly unforgettable. On top of all that, Curt’s team went above and beyond by surprising one of our group members with a birthday cake, made fresh with only a few hours’ notice. Such a thoughtful gesture! We’re so grateful for the experience and would absolutely recommend Curt’s place to anyone looking for an authentic, warm, and memorable stay. Thank you, Curt!

You have to stay here. Teresita’s and her home are absolutely top-notch. The home is on a large private parcel of land, a portion of which looks farmed. The home itself is incredible. It is practically new. The bedrooms and common areas all have their own AC systems. The outdoor dining and poolside lounge area are huge and comfortable. Our large family group ate there the entire time we stayed. Our teenagers loved the pool. The property is well-maintained. The gardener/pool man came by every morning and kept everything looking and working great. There are so many native plants and trees on the property. We saw a pair of macaws, green parrots, and humming birds every day. Teresita is so friendly and accommodating. She met us on check-in and gave us a walk through of the property. We asked her to stock us up with drinks, fruit, and fresh pastries before we got there. She recommended that we get fresh bread in the morning from Ramirez bakery. The home is in walking distance of everything.

Our stay at this house was simply spectacular. The design is beautiful, very eye-catching, yet incredibly practical. Everything is thoughtfully arranged to make you feel comfortable and at home from the very beginning. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathrooms are spacious and functional, and the beds are truly comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. Another highlight is the location: in a peaceful, nature-filled setting, away from the tourist crowds but still close enough to all the main attractions in the area. Exactly what we were looking for. What surprised us most was the sense of serenity the house offers. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s an experience in itself. That’s why we recommend that anyone visiting not only use it as a base to explore the area but also take time to enjoy the house itself: the peace, the natural surroundings, and the special moments shared with loved ones. Another plus is the host, Esteban, who took great care of us.

While many other reviews mentioned it, I’ll have to note here again: the view is amazing. I enjoy taking so many photos through out our trip as the view is spectacular and it chnages quickly at different times, different weather. The weather has been kind to us so it only rained very hard mostly at night and few hours in the afternoon (mid June). Sitting out on the deck in the morning is peaceful and not too cold. All of the descriptions are accurate. The road coming here is rough but so is almost everywhere else in Monteverde. Definitely one of the best Airbnb places we’ve been.

Aqua Vida is simply amazing. Words cannot describe how you’ll feel when you see everything you get with this property. It’s off the main road in La Fortuna but it’s very safe and peaceful. You get all the privacy you want while being 5 minutes away from everything in town. A huge natural spring pool, a covered area where you can cook, have your meals or just hangout, a huge yard to play in, a stream going through the property with beautiful trees and absolutely stunning landscaping. All this and you’re still not even in the house. Book this place. You’ll be happy you did.
