Waterfront holiday rentals in Sooke

Having stayed at many Airbnbs in multiple countries, this is by far one of the best. The hosts, Vi & Duncan greeted us upon arrival and provided a wonderful tour. The gardens & views are breathtaking! The space had everything we needed and more. We appreciated the recommendations and all the hosts did to make our stay ideal. Loved the muffins! Thank you.

What a special space! From the moment we walked in we felt right at home and could not believe how beautiful the views were! We loved sitting on the patio to start and end our days admiring the peaceful harbour. The town also had a few nice restaurant options, a delicious bakery, and cute shops to enjoy as well! We were even lucky enough to briefly meet Astrid and Stephen who were both such gems, their love of the harbour and their home is very evident! I feel lucky we were able to stay at their space during our trip to Vancouver island and wound highly recommend this home!

Absolutely loved our stay! The room was quaint and charming with a gorgeous view, and the bidet was a nice touch-definitely a highlight! The neighbourhood was peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing. Our host was attentive and welcoming, and having parking included made things so easy. We felt very comfortable and at home throughout our stay. Would happily stay again-thank you!

Beautiful view well equipped kitchen bed was very comfy quiet location

Great location and great unit. Everything was clean and the kitchen had many items and utensils to make cooking a breeze. It was a great space and afforded everyone with their own space to relax. Super close to downtown Victoria and very walkable to the local grocery store. Lives up to the billing and Lorie was great with her communication. Would recommend!

Beautiful condo in a perfect location for our trip. Easy to navigate area, grocery and other necessities nearby. Absolutely peaceful environment and always felt very safe. Well stocked kitchen with everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Well maintained, updated and comfortable accommodation. Large patio with lots of room and seating. Great view of the lake, easy gentle slope for young ones to navigate. Spacious for 2 people, very comfy bed and sofas. Only disappointment was discovering indoor pool, only open on weekends, until July/August. Would definitely reserve again.

I cannot recommend Susans place enough. Great if you are looking to spend some peaceful time in nature at an unhurried pace. The views were stunning and it was so quiet and relaxing. Bed was super comfortable and kitchen equipped enough to make simple food. The deck and gardens were beautiful, lots of stair which were a bit tough if you gave mobility issues like me however just go slow and its worth it. Susan was super friendly and responsive. Overall it was a 10/10 experience, i would definitely stay there again 💕.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful home near Sooke, BC. The house has such a warm, homey feel—perfect for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 6–10), and was super bright and clean! The location is stunning, right on an ocean inlet where the kids spent hours, finding crabs, and discovering all kinds of ocean life just steps from the front door. They loved every minute of it! The home itself is thoughtfully designed and incredibly comfortable, with plenty of cozy spots to relax. The hot tub was such a treat after a day of adventuring and there are so many beautiful sitting areas around the property, each offering a different, breathtaking view. And the garden is absolutely incredible—lush, vibrant, and clearly well cared for. Our hosts, could not have been more gracious and welcoming. Every amenity was provided, and we truly felt at home from the moment we arrived. We highly recommend booking Becky and Scott’s place and plan on making this an annual trip!

This place was perfect for my husband, dog and I. We loved the ocean view and access in the back of the property and it was easy to unwind here after a long travel day. One of the really nice parts is that you're only a 17 min walk from town. You can walk along the highway to get there but there is no sidewalk for most of the way. With our spirited dog, we found a quieter way by turning left onto Terrett Street and walking along Lanark Road. By the time Lanark Road ends you can go back up to Sooke road and there is a sidewalk. Tiffiny was also a great host. She was very responsive and proactive when we had questions about the bedroom ceiling fan. She even brought over a stand alone fan for us. Thank you for the great stay!

This was truly one of the best Airbnb stays we’ve ever experienced. The house was immaculately clean and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The kitchen was spotless and stocked with top-notch amenities, and the bedroom and linens were incredibly comfortable and fresh. The heating system worked perfectly, and the towels were clean and soft — everything in the house felt well-maintained and thoughtfully prepared. What really stood out was the electric vehicle charger, which made our trip even more convenient. The breathtaking view of the ocean and the chance to see the tide come in and out so closely added a magical touch to our stay. It was a perfect, relaxing, and romantic getaway — we highly recommend it, especially for couples celebrating a honeymoon or anniversary. What a great house and responsive, helpful host! I would definitely recommend this home to others. The house is across the street from the water and a rocky beach, and the living room/kitchen windows look out onto the water. The sunsets are beautiful! The area leading to the home does have a few mobile homes and such, but the house itself is cute, well appointed, and very comfortable. There were some snacks waiting for us, which our big kids (17 y.o. and 24 y.o.) enjoyed. They also spent hours roaming the shoreline looking at pretty shells and rocks. Great place!

Caroline’s home is clean and comfortable and has stunning views. The upper deck was a wonderful place to relax and converse with friends! Caroline is a wonderful host. She provided excellent suggestions to make our stay even more enjoyable than originally planned. She is responsive and kind! I highly recommend Caroline’s home!

We had a wonderful stay at Donovan's cabin. It was perfect for our family get-together (8 adults and 2 small children). The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, we loved the close proximity to hiking and other nature nearby (ie. East Sooke Regional Park). Donovan was super communicative and responsive to any questions. Thank you!

A fabulous place to stay on the waterfront in Victoria. Everything was just as the pictures and as described. It had everything you could need & amazing views. We loved being so close to Fisherman’s wharf with the restaurants and watching the seals, floatplanes, all sorts of things going on in the harbour. A great walk into the city centre too along the waterfront or to the coast in the other direction. We would definitely stay here again if coming back to Victoria.

This location was perfect for our vacation. The place was clean and well decorated with a lot of attention to detail. Because it’s leased by a service versus an owner the vibe was different- but the team worked hard to accommodate and connect with us. We would definitely recommend and stay again!

We love the accommodations, everything you needed was there. A good combination of rustic yet modern. Views are amazing and it’s quiet and peaceful. Love watching all the different wildlife around, especially the seals and otters.

Robert was a wonderful host with great suggestions for outings and shared his knowledge of the wildlife and area. The highlight for me was watching the family of sea otters fish in the ocean from the beautiful beach deck! We absolutely did not want to leave!

Stunning views and a wonderful space with a delightful garden. We loved it here and did not want to leave. This property has access to the ocean, and a huge deck to watch the ocean and wildlife. The suites are well appointed, clean and spacious. The suites even included binoculars! We would recommend this spot - it was well worth the drive.

We had an incredible stay at this stunning property perched on the ocean in Shirley, BC! The views of the Olympic Mountains from the premium hot tub were nothing short of breathtaking, especially when we spotted humpback whales at dusk on our first night—pure magic! The property itself at moments may feel more like a swanky international hotel with its backlit onyx kitchen and luxurious rain shower yet nestled in the rustic beauty of the coast. Our host, Robert, was incredibly kind and attentive, immediately offering his charging station for our car—a real relief. Highly recommend this place for an exceptional, premium coastal retreat close to Victoria!

Highly recommend! We stayed here as 5 adult siblings for 4 days. Check in was easy, plenty of parking (even with my large truck), exactly as described, beds were comfy, even the Murphy bed in the wall. View of the bay and sea planes, walkable to everything. Shower pressure was great and plenty of hot water to go around for the 5 of us. We had a wonderful time!

I gave this place 5 stars because it was beautiful, the location was perfect for walking around Victoria, the views were amazing from the balcony, and the condo was modern and very clean. However, I will say that finding it by car was pretty difficult. Google will try to take you to the door where you buzz in to get up, but this is below street level, and before you realize this, you are being shuttled across a draw bridge. We tried navigating to the 528 Pandora Ave unloading zone first, and this, or at least where Google took us, was no where near the entrance. We tried Moe’s finally, and had success unloading finally. There are spots in front of Chubby Dumpling that were available after 8 PM without issue, but you do have to move your car before 8 AM, and we used the Store Street lot. So if you are bringing a car, just be aware that there are some logistics to attend to and extra parking costs to figure into the stay. This place would be great for someone traveling without a car
