Beach house holiday rentals in South Africa

Hout bay was wonderful and the house had lovely beds and plenty of kitchen dishes as well as towels for the beach and even some sand toys. The place was cleaned meticulously and was relatively easy to access. They had a booklet of local recommendations that was helpful if a little overstuffed. The first two pages worked great. The washer and drier left something to be desired - the drier door wouldn’t stay shut and was finicky about turning on. The house could have used a few little touches like some laundry detergent, but Abigail was helpful.

We had a lovely and comfortable stay. We were two families of four with young kids. Couldn’t have asked for a better location with the beach on your doorstep and we felt right at home. The house was wonderfully equipped and has everything you need to make your stay as easy as possible and wonderfully clean. We would happily go back and would recommend.

What a beautiful house - so well equipped and stylish as well as being homely. The views are splendid and the balcony a treat. I accomodated nine of us with ease both in the bedrooms offered and in the living spaces. We would love to return one day.

Great location, amazing views - the sunsets were breathtaking, super child friendly and the house had basically had everything we needed. We had a fantastic time with our friends and would definitely come back!

The location and view from this house is spectacular, and it feels very private. The house is very nice and the outdoor seating area was great. We even saw whales and seals from the stoep. The house isn’t big, but the outdoor seating area makes it feel more spacious…it’s where we spent 90% of our time. The coffee shop also has great breakfast options and a wonderful view of the ocean. If you’re looking for a secluded house on the beach, this is the house for you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Ondine. The house was great, clean and well kept. It has a lovely grass area and pool with a beautiful view. Leon was a great host! Would definitely go back again.

What a Truly 5 Star experience than my wife, daughter and I had at Kerry's place. The house is truly 5 Start yet the pricing is actually very reasonable for the value One receives. Kerry is proactive in her communication, very responsive to the guests requests and is very flexible. The house is always spotless due to the very helpful and diligent cleaning team. Definitely going back there soon!

We had the most incredible stay and cannot recommend this place highly enough! From the moment we arrived, Rozanne made us feel completely at home — she’s a truly exceptional host: warm, thoughtful, and always available if we needed anything. The home itself is stunning, with stylish and beautifully curated interior décor that strikes the perfect balance between luxury and comfort. The indoor fireplace was a cozy highlight, and we spent unforgettable dinners at the indoor Braai (bbq) enjoying great food. And the view — absolutely to die for. Waking up to the sight of Springboks and Zebras roaming in the distance felt like something out of a dream. Despite its elegant design, the house was surprisingly child-friendly, making it an ideal getaway for our whole family. Every detail was considered. We’re already thinking of our return — next time, to catch the whales! Thank you again, Rozanne, for everything.

This place is a dream! Your own private beach with all the modern furnishings you might need. Luxury kitchen equipment, beautiful decks and balcony, plenty of outdoor furniture and activities. We went to Paternoster for meals, but you will need to book in advance as restaurants fill quickly. An amazing getaway, we would go back in a heartbeat!

We had a fantastic stay at Oliver's place. The house is very spacious, very well equipped and extremely pleasant inside and outside. The location is great, the view is awesome, it gives a feeling of remoteness though very well connected to everything. Perfect to work, to relax or to go hiking around. Oliver was always reachable and helpful. We loved the place and will definitely come back.

Honestly loved everything !! Odette is helpful, kind and goes the extra mile!! Upon check in Odette was friendly, had a list of places to check out in the area and gave us a lovely tour. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The view was simply breathtaking waking up each morning to such a serene and beautiful landscape was a highlight of our trip. The area is incredibly peaceful and quiet, which made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Inside, the home is just as impressive. The interior was beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches and tasteful decor that made the space feel warm, comfortable, and inviting. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, and it was clear that a lot of care went into creating such a lovely atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

Our weekend getaway was meant to be an off the grid break from the world. This listing gave us exactly what we needed. It was private and offered beautiful walking routes. The kitchen was fully equipped, exactly what we needed to be able to prepare our meals. The lounge fireplace is the perfect distance from the couch which allowed for cozy evening reading time. The patio overlooks the ocean, perfect for afternoon lunch and wine. Communication regarding check-in was clear. Overall, I would be keen to stay here again.

Uta’s house is spacious, bright, and beautifully located with stunning views all around. There’s plenty of room to relax, work, or spend time together. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped — it has everything you need and more for cooking, including all the necessary appliances and utensils. We truly loved our stay and would highly, highly recommend this place to anyone. Would definitely come back!

This was our second stay at Henning’s place and we just cannot get enough. It’s such an amazing serene getaway in the most stunning location and beautiful home. We had a wonderful bday weekend playing games, cooking food and the fireplace was a great accompaniment with the cold weather. The home has such an incredible view of the ocean and can be seen from almost anywhere. Truly a special stay one of a kind stay. Hazel is always so friendly and hospitable. Thank you Henning and Hazel, we will surely be back.
