Equipped with custom furniture, new hot tub,luxury appliances, free high speed wifi, AC/Heat Unit and modern bathroom and kitchen facilities, guests can enjoy a homely and comfortable stay in nature. A glamping site built in 2022 offers a contactless check-in process with a custom key code. Additionally, we have added archery, axe throwing, and kayaks to enhance your outdoor activity!

The Stilt House

Once the island Trading Post (in the 1820's) now serves as a private retreat on Westport Island. The whole property has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1982. The building is nestled at the water's edge, half on land and half on stilts over the tidal waters of the Sheepscot River. The property has its own private deck, island, rocky beach, trails and hammock. This is an old structure - over 200 years old! A great piece of history and an absolute oasis.

Winter or summer, the Little River Retreat will help you step away from the world - but still be minutes from Reid State Park, Five Islands Lobster, the Georgetown General Store, and the rugged beauty of Midcoast Maine. This is our family camp, with our own books, games, and “vibe”. It is not a hotel, and some things may not be “industry standard”. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.
