Holiday rentals with a fire pit in St. Joseph County

The house was very clean and comfortable. The place had plenty of room inside and out. Great view from the porch overlooking the lake. Steve was very kind, helpful, and professional. I would recommend and would have no problem going back for another getaway.

This booking was smooth, start to finish. Loren responded immediately to any of our questions. I will definitely look him up again for any other properties he may have when traveling to Michigan. Excellent host! I highly recommend his places!

Great place! Well-equipped and very comfortable for larger groups. There is room to spread out and lots of good bedrooms. Outside space is great too (see other reviews). Easy to run for supplies in Three Rivers or the M60 Marathon gas, convenience and bait store. Happy’s Landing is a good place to eat or order carryout. The house is on the very north end of the lake where it is mostly grown in with lily pads and not open water, but you can dock a boat and get to the open lake for skiing and cruising. The wildlife is great – lots of swans, turtles and fish. We had a good time fishing off the boat near the lily pads – caught lots of small fish. Fishing off the dock was a little sketchy because of the plant life at the end of the dock.

We came into town for a wedding and brought our 2 dogs and wanted to stay someplace safe and quiet and we definitely found that with Edgar’s home. The location was easy to find and it was nice to have private parking right along the lake. The access to the home was easy and the home nicely is decorated with every amenity you need to cook your own food. Views from the home are lovely and we went out onto the dock and spent time on the private beach a couple of the nights we were there. The beds were extremely comfortable and there were plenty of towels, which I appreciated. Location makes it easy to get into town for grocery shopping and there is a brewery in town that makes great smash burgers called Useless Creatures. We walked around the neighborhood a couple of times and we also found a great hiking spot to take the dogs very nearby. Overall, a very comfortable stay in a beautiful location.

This is the second time we have stayed and it is such a peaceful, private expansive space complete with babbling brook.

Great place to spend with the family if you want some quiet time. My kids enjoyed swimming by the dock and catching some fish. They also met quite a few turtle friends while swimming. The house is spacious and has a relaxing vibe. There was so much natural light and huge windows for fresh air. Be prepared to bring ingredients or drop by the grocer's before heading in if you're the type to cook. Mitch' wife baked some homemade muffins for the family which the kids snacked on after a morning of swimming at the lake. Thank you so much. My kids can't wait to go back. We immediately felt right at home in Barbara’s apartment on their family horse farm. Our children enjoyed selecting books to read from their entertainment center and playing outside with Barbara’s children. It was nice to have respite from traffic down their long lane and to be able to fully relax due to the safe picturesque country setting. We appreciated the reverse osmosis filtered water, comfortable room temperature, shower stocked with toiletries, and cozy blankets. We slept well and were refreshed and ready for another day of traveling. We would happily stay again!

Loved my stay! The farm was gorgeous and so peaceful and rejuvenating. Wish I could’ve stayed longer and would definitely stay again. Dan and Suzanne were friendly and helpful and the apartment was comfortable, well-equipped and beautifully decorated. 5 stars!

We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. My husband, our 15 month old, and I are moving to Ethiopia in a couple of months and we needed to spend one last time with our family. Fern’s listing was so close to where our family lived and we were able to have our own space and also spend time with family. We got to meet and visit with our host one morning and they were so friendly and welcoming!! We will definitely choose these wonderful accommodations again if we ever come back.

It was a great location and a very nice 2 bedroom unit with a lot of attention to detail. Examples are toiletries, spices and coffee that was really nice as we checked in later in day.

Becky's place was very nice and the backyard was beautiful! We even saw fireflies!

I can’t speak highly enough of Lynette and the accommodations. Lynette was a very responsive, communicative host. The extra touches she put into the stay were noticed and appreciated. The accommodations were sparkling clean, ultra comfortable and matched the listing photos and description perfectly. The property location was extremely serene. I would most definitely recommend staying here!!

Stephanie and Chads place has made what has been a wonderful trip, all the better. A perfect apartment in an idilic setting with wonderful hosts. If we get a chance to come this way again, I'd hope to stay with them again. Stephanie was wonderful, from the 1st point of contact. she was soo helpful, she recommended a route from O'Hare airport in Chicago, to her place in Kalamazoo, which put us at ease. the Apartment had all that we needed. it was warm and comfortable at all times as we had weather was 20c and sunny to -3c and snowing. hot water as you needed and in a setting that was stunning on the outskirts of Kalamazoo but 5 mins from where we needed to be each day. We had a garage for our car. washer and dryer for our clothes two bedrooms with double beds and a large living space and kitchenette they had all we needed for it to feel like a home away from home.

One of my favorite AirBnb visits ever. Country cabin feel with modern conveniences and lux hotel touches, like the decor, toiletries provided, nicely rolled and displayed towels and blankets. We loved having the property to ourselves for solitude and privacy. We loved every attention to detail. Very clean. Peaceful. My favorite things: The beautiful cedar interior; the new kitchen sponge; the room darkening shades; the fun assortment of games; the candy, snacks and ketchup, mustard, and mayo provided; the chain lock on the front door that gave me added peace of mind; the yard games; the swing outside; the fully stocked and prepped fire pit; the walking trail through the forest (it loops around so whichever side you start on brings you back to the yard); the outlets next to the beds; 2 bathrooms; and the second light in the bathroom was nice and bright enough to apply my makeup. Only suggestion would be to provide a bucket or shovel to help put out the fire. Five stars plus!

Had a great time with some friends at Candy’s property! She had helpful notes and cozy decorations all over the cabin, and we took full advantage of all the amenities she had to offer. We frequently saw ducks, swans, and other wildlife passing by and it was the perfect place to unwind and relax. Would definitely recommend to anyone that is looking to enjoy a weekend on the lake or take a breather from their busy lives! 🎣

Holley's place fit the description and photos exactly as presented. We were looking for a place that was relatively close to Notre Dame, and that allowed us to bring our dog. This place fit the bill. It was easy to find, clean, and as I said, fit the description and photos exactly. It was also a nice area to walk our dog. We were here in December and so we could not take advantage of the lake, but if you are here in summer, it's just a stone's throw away, and I imagine very nice. When you think about how much hotels in South Bend and even Elkhart charge on game days this was a no brainer. The price was solid and it was a relatively fast and easy drive from ND. I would definitely stay here again on another game weekend. Thank you Holley!

Amazing place! This property looks like something straight off a magazine cover...from the gorgeous surrounding trees to the beautiful logs of the cabin. We enjoyed the wildlife while relaxing both inside and on the porch. Chipmunks, squirrels, and numerous birds were busy putting on a show and we had front row seats. The windows are awesome and allow you to feel like you are part of the forest. Comfy bed, living room seating and outdoor shower were all great. We were able to visit Shipshewana and several restaurants and shops in the area. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a wonderful stay ! We have 2 dogs so it was sweet that they had a fenced in backyard. Plus all the other people at the campground very friendly and we loved seeing all their dogs! Very dog friendly 😃 we can't wait to go back!

Everything is wonderful and so relaxing at her cabin. We just love it there. Some day we would love to see a hot tub there for a nice soak after a hard day or two at the flea market. We’ll be back next year again for sure. Thank you again 😁😁 Patricia brand and group.

Steven is a wonderful host! I went there with my family and we all had a blast! Lots of activities, games, clean and very well equipped place! I definitely will be back, and highly recommend this home for a family or a romantic getaway!
