Paradise on the Lake was just that….Paradise. From Kayaking to swimming, Paradise on the lake was exactly what our two families needed. A great place to unwind before back to school. The beds were comfortable and the cottage was very cozy.

The cabin and hot tub were a nice getaway from the city while still being a short drive away. The cabin was clean, and it was relaxing to listen to the sound of the creek and the trees and felt private from the other cabins nearby. Ryan was on top of communication during an unplanned power outage and made sure we knew what was going on throughout until it came back on which was appreciated. *Mosquito warning, come prepared with bug spray, at least in the Spring/Summer.

We had an amazing time! If you're looking for a space that can accommodate a large group, then this is the place to go. It's a bit "tucked away," but that is exactly the point. The yard is massive, the view of the Miramichi River is beautiful, Carlie has a screened balcony so that mosquitoes and black flies aren't a problem when you need to step outside. Huge fire pit. Both building's have lots of bedrooms with large basements. The main building's basement is very large and can accommodate many things. Large parking space too. We took full advantage of almost everything Carlie had to offer and it was fabulous! The water pressure is a bit low, and the barbecues needed a little work, but everything else made up for it. We are for sure going to return here. We loved it that much.

Such an amazing cottage and location! The pictures don’t do its justice, the cottage is even more beautiful in real life. The huge private beach is so peaceful and full of wildlife - we saw eagles, beavers, deers and lots of duck and geese (including babies). We had the best time with our toddler and would love to go back. Lynn was a great host and was very responsive. 10/10, we loved it!

Karen and Ben were the best hosts ever. They put so much care and attention to the little things that make a place feel like home. From the spare toothbrush and Ziploc bags to the tackle and rods. What was even more amazing was their rescue without hesitation. We were stranded in Fredericton with a flat and they not only picked us up that night but brought us around and back to town in the morning for our repairs. Gracious, caring, proactive and authentic are but a few words that can describe the hosts and lake house. Thank you for making us feel like we were staying with family.

What a wonderful stay!!!! The river was amazing to just stare at and there was incredible bird action. There were 6 of us staying for a wedding and we all had lots of room. Would definitely recommend!!!!

The cottage was absolutely perfect. Cozy and comfortable with a great view. We went for a fishing trip and this location was ideal. Allison was a great host, very responsive and extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend and we will be back next year!

Absolutely wonderful stay in this remote cabin with a legendary host. Garth met me upon arrival to drive me into the woods as a car can't make up that road. Don't let that deter you. Garth was patient and helped me load all my things into his truck. He even drove me back out and in again when I forgot my phone! The cabin has no power and no running water. A generator is supplied as well as a large Culligan jug. I only ran the generator in the morning for coffee. Consider this when packing- lighting. I brought battery powered string lights I hung on the bunk beds and a rechargeable lamp&flashlight. Bring a portable charger if you plan to stay a few night to charge your phone or lamps. Running the generator for that would take too long and be too loud. You Cook on the wood stove. There is good phone reception so if you need anything, Garth is easy to reach. The trails through woods are magical and ENDLESS. A walk to the car is only ten mins if you forget something. I will be back!

Everything was great and we'll be back

Carrie and Roger have a beautiful oasis on the Nashwaak river that I am very grateful they feel to share. The accommodations were fantastic, everything was in its place, felt very fresh and new. Very impressed on how much is included in their cottage. From the welcome package treats to the fully stocked kitchen, bathroom, with extras in case you forget something. In was a great experience to which my kids were asking if we could move there within the first 60 seconds of pulling in the driveway. A real cozy feeling place to stay and very hospitable owners!! Would highly recommend and hope we can stay there again soon. 12out of 10 review. 5 stars for sure. Thanks again Carrie and Roger.

It was exactly what I needed on short notice. connected with her at 1pm on day of booking and Anne accommodated me and my 2 dogs. even had a bowl of fresh water and 2 dog bowls ready for them when we walked in. The view of the lake from the large picture windows was spectacular and serene. If I didn't have my own SUP, Anne was willing to provide me a kayak and also offered fresh eggs from her own chickens but I already had eggs. I would have stayed longer, but had plans I couldn't change. The bed was super comfortable. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook. Plenty of puzzles and board games to choose from. I am already planning my next getaway for July and Aug. Next time I won't bring eggs ;).

this is a beautiful place to stay

It was quite a beautiful and peaceful location. Very responsive hosts. The bed was extremely comfortable. It would be nice to have a few pantry basics like salt and pepper for the future.

The place was clean and cozy. Rodney was flexible and easy to communicate with. Snow was cleared well (there was alot!) and was safe. Kids enjoyed exploring the property!

A nice spot to get away from it all and recharge.

We stayed here for a night for our anniversary and it was an amazing time. The hot tub, the view of the river and the location were all phenomenal. Highly recommend.

Sheryl was a great host and very communicative. She even left us a bottle of wine and wine glasses set out upon arrival. We felt very comfortable and at home in her cottage. The bed was so comfortable and I slept like a baby. Coming from a place in Canada where we do not drink our tap water we really appreciated the cold and pure tasting tap water. We would like to come back and stay when the weather warms up.
